Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iPhone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

Take your time to write a thoughtful comment on a video, hit send, and it's gone, "youtube is not available". It happens frequently on the iphone app yet never happens on the desktop site. This bug has followed the youtube app across multiple phones (OG & 3G), multiple OS updates, and still happens randomly. Not having a feature is better than one that frequently doesn't work, and frustrates, as well as wastes your time...I'm so ready to checkout the latest from HTC  I copied this question from an archived thread from 2009. I'm having the same issue. I comment on YouTube a couple of times and it's fine, the third time it completely blocks me. It's very frustrating. Looking at the replies from 4 years ago it seems that its definitely the app that has the issue, not the main website. My iPhone 4 isn't charging and I wondered if it is a common problem, it's only a year old as I bought it from the Apple Store in New York.  I've tried different leads incase it's a problem with that but they work on my ipad....help what do I do?

iPhone 4S bluetooth issue

The thing is that i've been trying to use my iPhone 4S as master transmiter of GPS signals and accelerometer data for my ipad mini to use an app called air navigation pro, the deal is that when i try to pair my devices vía bluetooth they just seem not to recognize each other, the only way i can get them to work is by using personal hotspot or share internet option vía bluetooth, but thats the only way.I've heard theres a bug related to that, that our friends in cupertino just ignored when they updated IOS, Anyone can help me?, does Anyone has Any info about this, or maybe a solution.By the way since this may be due to my IOS instaled in my iPhone my devices are:-ipad mini wifi only IOS 6.1.3-iPhone 4s IOS 6.1.3Thanks in advance for Any info proportioned

There was a wrong buy ,  an app called mobile selling platform. For  travel agents to do their flight booking thro ipad .  . This happened by mistake , as normally when u download any app it would ask for the password , but some how this time it did not and the down loaded happened . I tried stopping the down load by putting off the power button , but still did not work . Hence this situation. I tried reporting a problem thro the link in the invoice , but to no success .error is reported . I need a refund and reversal . As I have of no use of the apps . I  am no travel agent and tried calling the India office but was told that they had closed for the day . So then I posted this query on the communities to seek help in sorting this issue .....need help .

Viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iPhone 3G

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on ipad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! Thanks in advance &cu,-udo

Just had to restore my iPhone 5 for the latest update (btw, why?!), and the latest backup iTunes will let me restore to is 11/18/12 (the day I started storing all backups to iCloud).  Using my ipad, I accessed iCloud and it said my iPhone was just backed up on 5/4/13.  How do I restore with the iCloud backup instead?  Thanks very much,

Iphone 5 Bluetooth very poor

Don´t buy a Iphone 5 It simply don´´t work stabil in the bluetooth word. I can sometimes, and sometimes not connect to me ipad 2 and PC. turn of and on, sometime i works some time i don´t work. I am waiting and Waiting because it is so slow to connect. I am very disappointed by having buying one of the perhaps the most expensive phone om market.But I can not use it in my proffessionel work life. Other phones do not have these problems.

Hey all. I've downloaded the app VPN Fife to my iPhone 5 from a friends appartment, on their VPN. Works great. So, I want to sync to my Macbook pro, thinking it would just transfer over via the sync. It won't, not sure it even sees in on my phone. How do I get this copied over to my iTunes on my laptop. I'd like to sync it to my ipad now too.

Major iPhone 5 issues Help

I've had my iPhone since release date. Everything has been working great up until about a week ago. The phone has an amazing battery life, I guess an update fixed that for me. But now my iPhone will reset itself out of no where 3-4 times a day at random times. The keyboard will get stuck on the screen after entering something and clicking done. Also the iPhone will freeze (I've tried leaving it for as long as a half an hour) and be totally unresponsive. I usually have to use the sleep/wake button in combination with the home button just to reset the phone so it works. It also randomly drops and won't connect to my home wifi at all, I also have a iMac, MacBook Pro, ipad mini, ipad 3, iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S and all of these work flawless with zero problems on my wifi network. My warranty is out in September, but I'm worried about going to an apple genius and having them ask me to re create the problem. What if it doesn't happen at that time? What can I do?

Hello. on December i purchased my iPhone 5 on eBay for about 530. Its under warranty until december 20 2013, not today while charging my iPhone at night i noticed my iPhone kept charging and uncharging itself, (the beep noise) it keept doing it for quite awhile and i checked up on it.  It has some problems charging, i've never had any problems with it before. Now, i tried hard resetting and rebooting it a bunch of times but when i hard reset (dfu mode) my computer would not recognize it to even restore it. my computer won't even recognizes if the phone is connected.  It's not the cables as i have an ipad 4 and i have 3 cables in total, all original apple products. All cables work perfectly fine with the ipad but not with the iPhone, so i'm geussing something is wrong with my iPhone.  How can i get my iPhone replaced or fixed?  I've only been in the apple store to check out products but never spoken to any of the customer support.   what questions will i get asked?  Do i gotta make an appointment or can i just walk into a local apple store and bring in my device and box.  what will i need?      It's my first time trying to replace or fix my iPhone so i need help. Help a fellow apple user.

The devices in question are an iPhone 5 and a 3rd generation ipad, both run the latest iOS bits available and I am signed in with my Apple Id on both devices.  The behavior I'd like to experience is:the settings (Stations and Podcasts within Stations and particular Podcast settings) set on one device just show up on the other device.both devices show the exact same played, partly-played and unplayed podcasts in their stations. Isn't this the way things should "just work" in the Apple world?  The reason for asking is that my two devices do not seem to talk to each other and cannot locate a way to get them to synchronize. Thank you,  eugen

Not able to download apps or music direct to my iPhone

I am unable to download any app or song from iTunes directly onto my iPhone. It asks for my Apple ID password, accepts the password and then looks like it is downloading, and sayings INSTALLING. 3 seconds later it stops, and won't download.I am able to download apps on my ipad using the same apple account.

I have an iPhone 5. I got it last Monday April 15th. I got the black one. After the first day I noticed there was a small yellowish spot in the top left corner of the screen. It hasn't went away. Today I am going to call apple to try and get a replacement since its still so very new. But I am also wanting to switch to the white iPhone 5. Because I want it to match my ipad. And because I don't like the black as good as I thought I would. Do you think apple will let me? And if they do should I switch to the white?

My iPhone will only charge when connected to a computer. It was fine this morning and then suddenly it wont charge when connected to adapter for a wall plug or in my car. I have tried 2 different USB cables and they both work with the computer but not the adapter for a wall plug or in my car. I have connected my ipad to both cables and the adapter for the wall plug and it charges just fine. Its just my phone, not the cables, not the adapters.....So has anyone else had this issue? Should I reset the phone? I was hoping to not have to go that far, but I'll do what I have to do. Or do you think my phone is broken?

iPhone 4S won't charge in wall charger will charge from PC USB

Suddenly, about a week ago, shortly after I upgraded to iOS 6.1.3 my iPhone 4S will no longer charge from any AC chargers, but still charges from the USB port in my laptops and work desktop.  I have 5 or 6 wall chargers both Apple and other brands it won’t charge from any of them.  They work fine charging my wife’s iPhone 4S and my ipad 2 and ipad 4.  I have seen others post about this problem but there are no fixes posted to date.

Facebook Home on iPhone and ipad

How can I get it across to Apple that the moment they let Facebook Home take over the home page on my iPhone or ipad I am gone forever and will never EVER buy an iPhone or iPod ever again? Facebook want to know far too much detail about my life as it is.  Why would I want them to be able to track my every movement and know who I am calling on my iPhone. This is an infingement on my/your privacy.  If news paper journalists can get done for hacking into yours or my phone, what will Facebook get?  And what will Apple get if they are found to be helping Facebook gather this information without the iPhone users consent??????

iPhone 5-brand new out of box-touch screen possessed

Hi all, I'm in south africa. Just got my new iphone 5 and was very excited. Took it out of the box and started charging and from the moment that the phone switched on and I tried completing the wizard, the **** phone starting clicking(touching) all over the screen by its self!!! It activated the zoom function and auto zoomed everywhere. Couldn't do anything with it. So i left the phone and hooked up itunes to update software from 6.0.2 to 6.1 - this is thought solved the problem.. The phone seemed okay after that, but noooooo it wasn't. It just does what it wants sometimes. Typing for me and touching all over and making life ****.  What i have noticed is that the phone ( which I'm using to post this now ) is okay most of the day, except first thing early mornings when the phone was left alone overnight. Once i wake up and check my phone it starts going heywire again... So i immediately just press the off button to kill the screen. Leave it for a while and then try again - doing this over and over until the phone stops its nonsense. Then it seems its okay during the day when its warmer... Weird as **** and very annoying.  Has anyone had the same issue?? I can't find any related iphone problem, except for 2004 posting of ipad doing this... Please help Regards, Dewald

iOS 6.1.3 update deleted my MacBook Pro calendars iPhone 4S

While syncing my iPhone 4S to iTunes yesterday, I received and downloaded the iOS 6.1.3 update for iPhone (connecting to my MacBook Pro).  After the sync, I pulled up my calendars on MacBook and discovered they had suddenly been completely wiped out.  My iPhone and ipad still have the current calendars, as does iCloud, but the MacBook information has been completely deleted.  Now I will not sync my devices to the Mac for fear their calendars will also be deleted.  I've searched both iCloud and my Mac, but I can't figure out how to sync or export the calendars from iCloud back to my laptop. My MacBook Pro runs on OS X 10.8.3.  For the many years I have used iCal, this has never happened before.  Any suggestions?  Thanks so much!

Why my iPhone 4s dying

My iphone 4s is dying at 30%. This is concerning me because my last iphone did this too. So I had got my iphone in August of 2012 and it started dying at 35% about a week ago on Tuesday. Then by Friday it was dying at 60%. I thought it was the software update so I took it to the Apple store and the tested it and said that nothing was wrong with the battery, like normal. So they gave me a new phone. Well, it hasn't even been a week and this phone is starting to do the same thing. I try not to charge it until it has gotten down far and is about to die so I would not have this problem. Yes, I have tried restoring and no, it does not work. I have also reset it. Is there a difference between charging the phone on a iHome docking station and a plug into a wall? Is there anything else I can do to not have my phone die at 30%? I don't think it is normal because I also have an iPod and ipad and none of them do that. Also, the last iPhone didn't do that until last week. Could there be a reason why it dies unexpectedly?

iphone reboots itself iPhone 4S

My iphone randomly and for no apparent reason reboots itself.... goes dark, then apple logo appears and then back to slider view. I just replaced the phone this afternoon, so doubt it is the hardware. Up graded OS to 6.1.3 and restored from backup.... if it is a software issue, how do I isolate... is it OS or is it an App? anyone else had issues with random reboot? I have an ipad waiting to upgrade the OS until I can be sure it is not an OS6 issue.....

iPhone 4 fails OTA update to 6.1.3

iPhone 4 running 6.1.2 fails with OTA 6.1.3 update.  Downloads fine, passes verify, begains installation, but progress bar stops around 20%, phone reboots and then back to where started.  Confirmed sufficient space on iPhone for update, tried reboot and closing all Apps prior to update, same problem. Was able to implement OTA update for iPhone 5 and ipad 4 without problem. Would appreciate any ideas; priorto trying update via iTunes, as seem to always have issues when updating with iTunes. ThanksKris

Being the young tech savvy kid I jumped straight in for the iPhone 5 and frankly was quite excited and amazed but later annoyed my charger and cable were perfectly fine when taking out of box but a couple of weeks later I had problems my iPhone would charge for about 2-3% but then stop and wouldn't start for about 2 mins, I would take it out and then putting it back in but the it just doesn't charge I have the latest software iOS 6.1.3 and thought that would fix it( thinking it was software glitch like many other glitches I've had) but it didn't quite frankly I am definitely thinking of a Samsung s4 as they promise more for less and dont have same problem also I am a dedicated customer and have a iMac desktop, a mackbook pro retina and a ipad mini and the Genius Bar me too wait for 2 weeks until they can get to me and that is public holiday so in theory it's about 2 1/2 weeks and I probably need a new cable but am not keen on getting new lightning cable for $30 thank you and hope u can give me answers to my problem soon thnx
