I'm so sick of autocorrect changing my CORRECT words iPhone 4

My autocorrect has taken on a mind of it's own, and will now change perfectly fine words to completely different ones.  It will change "it" to "is" or "bad" to "sad" and MANY other unnecessary changes. Today was the final straw, it changed "there" to "their" ... when the sentence was, "He's been upset since he got there."  So it's not as if it was being smart enough to replace the proper tense, it was just wrong!  Will there been an improvement with autocorrect in the next update, because I've decided to turn it off until this madness stops.

Help Cant get autocorrect to learn iPhone

I have an iPhone 3GS with IOS4. My husbands name is Kevin but I always call him Kev for short. autocorrect constantly changes this to keV. I have tried about 50 times in a row to hit the x to help it to learn thats not what I want, but it wont change. I have also gone in and reset my dictionary, as well as going to Safari, typing Kev in the Google search box, and tapping the x there as well. None of these things have worked. Any other suggestions?

way to edit autocorrect dictionary iPhone

autocorrect is potentially very useful, but it keeps throwing up mistakes and pointless alternatives. Is there any way to edit this list?FOR example: Whenever I type the word word, iphone throws up Word - complete with unwanted single-quote and capital W - and if I dont spot it in time, it inserts it. Another mistake is when it corrects me to mr, despite the fact that I dont normally use mr. Is there any way to remove unwanted words in the autocorrect dictionary? Tapping the unwanted word - with its little x at the end - doesnt delete the word from its use the next time. Furthermore, is there a way of ADDING a word that I know Im going to need in the future? Auto correcting word me iPhone

Hi,Sigh, I have a really annoying problem with the iPhone. I just recently upgraded to the iPhone 4 and love it, love it, love it... Except when Im texting. The ONLY problem Im having just started recently and I dont know how to fix it. Its too hard to Google this, too. Everytime I type the word me, it types this: me So, lets say I want to say Let me have that, the iPhone will type this Let me have that. I dont know how to un-autocorrect this! It doesnt even make sense as far as the English language goes, right? Does anyone know how to fix this to STOP putting the apostrophe right after the word me? Thanks!!! iPhone iOS 4

iPhone 3.0 Keyboard software finally improved

Hi allI sold my iPhone a year ago and exchanged it with a Nokia E71 because I could not stand the bad implementation of the keyboard autocorrect feature. (Im talking about the German version here.) Disabling it didnt help, as I have even more typos without the autocorrection. Apple has, since version 1.0 of the software, obviously missed the opportunity to improve the German autocorrect feature. Still, you get wrong suggestions all the time, you get suggestions that are far from existing in German (complete bogus words, that have nothing to do with German nor do exist in other languages of the world...), words are not learned in a comprehensible manner (in most times you can click away a suggestion ten times and the phone will still not recognize that the word I type is correct and has therefore not to be corrected), etc. etc. To be clear: I do not care about switching the function off, I do not even care about a horizontal keyboard and other gimmicks, I ONLY care about a working autocorrection. And this simply means that the keyboard software should be able to LEARN new words RELIABLY.Can anyone confirm that Apple with software version 3.0 has FINALLY taken the chance to hack those imbearable keyboard software bugs away? Thanks very much for your help.R. Mac OS X (10.4.10)

iPhone not allow word typing-different to auto correction.

The iPhone, not just my iPhone, but all iPhones I have come across in the world, do not seem to allow the typing in of two family members names. To see the error, you will need to type the word into an iPhone application, such as Mail or SMS, but try to type the word from start to finish without hitting the back button. If you make a mistake, you will need to start the word from scratch. You cant start from the middle of the word, or you wont see the issue. The names I am trying to type are: Zakareya, and Sabeen. On the iPhone it is only possible to type Zakateya and Sabern. It is simply not possible to type the r after the a in Zakareya, or the ee in Sabeen. In fact if you try, you will see your finger actually skip over the letter on the keyboard. Similar words with the same letters seem to type fine. Please note this is different to autocorrect - it is not as if the word has been typed incorrectly, it is simple not possible to type the word. I was trying to find an email address to provide feedback to Apple but cant seem to find one. MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.6) 250GB, 2.4GHz.

Cannot train dictionary to stop autocorrect from .nz to .ms iPhone

I am a happy iPhone user (with seven pages of applications) in New Zealand. I have a New Zealand email address as do a lot of people I communicate with. If I attempt to type in a .NZ domain for an email address or URL into a text, Email Address or Email body it always corrects .nz to .ms.I have attempted to train the dictionary numerous times by canceling auto correcting this about a dozen times but this does not stick. I have probably canceled auto correction a few hundred times in total. Is there anything I can do? iPhone 3G 2.2 Firmware
