VerzionLTE after upgrading to 6.1.4 iPhone 5

iPhone 5 on Verizon upgraded to 6.1.4 (over the air, not via iTunes) has resulted in the phone giving priority to 3G in areas where LTE is available. I am able to get LTE when I disable and enable the radoio (Airplane Mode). Unless I force this, my phone is either on WiFi or 3G.  LTE is enabled (Settings -> General -> Cellular -> Enable LTE: On).  Is anyone else experiencing this?

iphone 5 text alert sounds are intermittent and i have tried both sounds update and minuet

i have selected the sound "update" for my text messages, and it only works intermittently all of a sudden.  i have changed sounds to "minuet" with similar problem.  i have restarted and also reset iphone 5, but still intermittent.

Rectangle transparent shield has appeared blocking taps on keypad iPhone 5

A weird rectangular, transparent, shield has appeared "above" any key selected from lock code to apps that blocks any tapping on any keys or keypad.If I tap hard and fast, it might catch but then enters the number, or whatever, multiple times (cause of rapid tapping).  This has happened 6 times since March, where I've had to fully restore factory setting. First time, didn't know had to manually back up apps, dir., etc., so had to re-build it all 1st time. Since, same weird transparent shield appears, then no button will "select" or function until full restore. Because after rapid tapping, hard, one might stick, after 1, 2, 3, Dozentaps, it proves something transparent is blocking (the rectangle appears as a fine point box line hovering above anything I tap). This last time, the full restore put it back, and the problem is still there.Am back on my old 4S, which I kept, as spare (amazingly) until a fix.  Will prolly have to send it in on a slow boat to China, where itwas made, which is gonna be quicker than a repair job, I'm sure. Nothing like this comes up on the forum, any advice is well appreciated.Thank you kindly.

phone in recovery mode but cannot restore with error code 21 26 iPhone 4S

After my latest update on my iPhone 4 my phone started just shutting down and restarting by itself. I have tried to restore the phone with the latest version of iTunes but now get the error message that iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode. Well that's fine, I selected recovery and when it appears that the recovery mode is going to go through the recovery mode returns an error code. The first code I received is the error 1656, then a 26, then the final attempt I got an error code 21. This phone has never been dropped, mishandled, or taken any physical damage. It was working great before I attempted to update. Please if anyone else has experienced this let me know how you resolved these errors. I have attempted every trouble-shooting step indicated on the Apple support site. HELP!

iPhone photo recovery iPhone 5

Please help. I've just returned from overseas having taken a lot of photos on my new iPhone 5. I've stupidly moved to upgrade the software on the device without saving these. Now the phone is promoting me to plug into iTunes and when I do it says the phone is detected in recovery mode and has to be restored. Is there any way I can get to these images without losing them?! :( I think I have additional storage however can't be sure images were selected to back up.

Battery Duration iPhone 5

Hi,I have notice that with the new upgrade of iOS 6.1.3 in my new iPhone 5 the battery duration it is decrease a lot with the same use. Before also two days with one chard and now, with the upgrade only six-nine hours. LTE data and bluetooth are disable. There's someone who could tell me an explanation or maybe a solution???? Someone have the same problem with the upgrade.Thank you so much for your answer.

iphone 4 dead

hi guys... i have an iphone 4 running ios 5.01 i believe..  about 3 weeks ago, suddenly it just died for no reason. i didn't drop it or anything.. i pressed and hold the home and spring board buttons, but nothing happened.  the phone would only turn on if it is being charged. even then, it is not functioning at all.. it says no service on the top left, the wifi is greyed out..  most of the apps wont work. when i selected any of the apps, they flashed briefly then go back to main menu.  and the phone dies again as soon as i unplugged the it from the charger. the battery says a 100% while being plugged.  there is an alarm icon on top of the main menu..  last night, all of a sudden, the phone just started to function again while being docked to the charger... after being unplugged for about a week or so.  and everything just works... but this morning after i have been using it for a few hours since last night, it died again...  so it looks like there is a loose connection inside the phone or there is a chipset or something thats beginning to fail inside phone..  just wondering if anyone has experience this kind of issue with their iphone 4..  its very irritating.. i never drop the phone, never got in the water.

Hi everyone, i have a Iphone 4 A1332 Will not charge and shows full charge. I tried resetting it with itunes about 10 times, tried power botton and middle botton restart and yet no signs of charge, if i unpluge it it turns off. Yet when i use it plugged, it shows the icon of full charge on the battery icon, but i selected the option to show the % of battery and it says 3%, this morning i was resetting it again and i fell asleep, when i woke up, i didnt start the reset, yet i found that the phone now has 8% charge on it. witch it drained off now, and its at 3% again.. HELP!?

How to keep selected contact names after sync with FaceBook iPhone 3G

Description:Some of my friends, that are already in mine contact list, in FB have different names.So after synchronization of contacts with FB I got two contact entries for one person. Ok. I linked them together to get one united contact.And then choose to use for this united contact name from contact which was in my contact list before sync.And that's all ok until next synchronization of contacts with FB, wich forces contact list to use name of "FB part" of united contact,instead of choosen by me name of "phone contact list part". So we see, that synchronization with FB dosn't looks at user setting which name to use.Any suggestions?p.s. ok, I understand, that I can turn off the sync, but it seems to me, that correcting of the error would be better....

When will Apple program iPhone 5 to turn off Cellular Data when connected to Wifi

When will Apple and AT&T figure out a way to disable cellular data when connected to WiFi? My phone uses large chunks of cellular data every evening when connected to wifi. AT&T says to turn cellular data off each night. That's crazy to ask your customers to do something that should automatically happen. I'm not a techie, but this should be an easy fix.

Why doesn t Apple make it possible to deactivate Voice Control iPhone 3G

Voice control is really annoying. I really wish I could turn it off. But I can't. Supposedly I can turn off some of the things voice control does (with limited success) but I can't disable it completely even though I really want to. Really. And a lot of other people want to, too, if the forums are anything to go by.  Problems include:- Accidental activation (yes, triple click home is turned off, and yes I have a passcode)- Accidental calling people. The last time this happened I was asleep and I must have accidentally leant on my phone. Somehow it interpreted my breathing as "Facetime (friend's name)". That person lives in another country. It was the middle of the night. Could apple please reinburse me for this ridiculous nighttime overseas call? I also discovered that disabling voice calling with the passcode option doesn't disable facetime. Why not?- Accidentally playing music. This is really awkward especially in quiet serious places when your pocket or handbag starts to sing. There is NO WAY to stop this happening. My phone is on silent!! Still, voice control makes the beep beep noise and plays music when some accidental pressure touches the button. Last time was during a work meeting. If I get fired because of apple...- It hears things I don't say, and doesn't understand what I do say. To the best of my knowledge, I don't say "Facetime (complicated Indian name)" in my sleep. Seriously. But "Next song" should be simple enough! ATTENTION APPLE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS!! Please make an "off" option!! Surely it is a simple thing that will make millions happy. There are a LOT of discussions on the Support Communities about this. Please do something about it. There is a very simple solution, whereby people can choose if Voice Control is something they want to use or not. Please. Pretty please with sugar on top.

Please help me reverse restore iPhone 5

I just selected 'restore my iphone' option for my new iPhone when I plugged it into my computer for the first time since upgrading to a new phone last week. I now know that I should have slelected 'set up my new iPhone' instead as it set my phone back to the way it was in September 2012. Is there anyway to reverse the restore and get it back to the way it was earlier today before selecting the update? I've lost emails, phone numbers, pictures, etc. I'm about to lose it!!

Car bluetooth failed after recent OS 6.2 update iPhone 5

My car bluetooth (car is a BMW X5) has suddenly stopped working, immediately after my iPhone 5 updated its OS to 6.1. It all worked perfectly before the OS upgrade.  Have re-paired it, re-set everything - no good.  Any suggestions?  What happens is - the phone pairs with the car stereo, the car stereo answers the phone - but there's no sound. Can't hear anything - on the car stereo, on the phone, nothing. And before anyone asks - yes, I am using it correctly, and the car is selected in the phone settings and when the call comes through. I used it successfully for months - until the latest OS upgrade...  And then it stops.     6.0 was fine.  Why would 6.1 fail? Why would the 6.1 upgrade cause this to happen?    What have Apple changed in their bluetooth functionality for OS 6.1, that would make something that worked perfectly suddenly stop working after the 6.1 upgrade??  Why make these changes suddenly? Anyway, am very very annoyed.   I need to answer my phone in the car, for goodness sake!  Are you trying to make me get a blackberry or an Android device, Apple?

My new iPhone 5 will not recognise other Bluetooth equipment not even other iPhone s and or iPad s despite my settings showing Bluetooth to be On in settings etc.

Can t turn off Facebook birthdays iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.1.2.  I have synced Facebook contacts with phone contacts, I also have the Facebook App. I have disabled Facebook in notifications (no banners, off on every option), I go into Calendar and disable the "Birthdays" under "Facebook", I have even diabled Birthdays for phone contacts. Once another birthday comes along the option in Facebook Birthdays for Calendar is enabled as if by magic and up pops a notification.  I disable it again and once another birthday comes along, hey presto it enables itself again with another message. The phone contacts birthdays does not re-enable itself, just the Facebook Birthdays. Seems like either a bad Facebook "bug" which is legally a privacy infringment, or an iPhone bug.

Recovery Mode stuck iPhone 4

So here my iPhone froze or something happened so I procede to turn off and then turn on the device. It loads the Apple showing that it is going to boot back up but then it sits there or freezes there. So I go on YouTube and look for a tut and all I found was just to put in DFU mode. I do that and my computer says that it can't load because there's a password and it follows saying that I need to go and disable the passcode. And I can't do that because it freezes at the Apple loading screen. So is the last thing I have to resort to is that I have to get new iPhone?

straight talk issues iPhone 4

I have an iPhone 4 GSM and an iPhone 4s under contract to ATT. Both have been factory unlocked. I can take a straight talk sim card and place it in my 4s and recieve service, however when i try the straight talk sim in the 4 it gives me the message Restricted NetworkYour selected cellular network is restricted. You can choose a different network in Settings.the att sim works fine in both phones. what could the problem be?

iPhone 5--No Sound Has Vibration

I woke up this morning via my alarm settings on my iPhone 5. Came back to the phone about 45 minutes later and noticed there was no sound for the lockpad, calls, alarms, notifications, ringtones, music, other apps, etc.  I followed some of the of the steps I've found through through the community: - Confirmed silent button wasn't turned on- Confirmed both ringtone/sound volumes were turned up- Turned off bluetooth- Forced Reboot- Regular Shutdown/Restart- Reset All Settings (Without Content)- disable/Enable Change with Buttons- Disabled/Enabled Vibrate on Ring/Silent  When attempting to change a ringtone with "vibrate on ring" and silent button turned off the vibrate kicks in however no tone. I've seen this in the past with my 4S and it only took a forced reboot to clear it.  Anyone else experiencing this issue as of 2013?  I heavily rely on sounds for alarms, notifications, etc (as I'm sure everyone else does) so any word of advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Music not syncing via PC after IOS 6.1 update iPhone 4S

Hey guys, is anybody else having issues syncing music via Itunes on a PC to your Iphone since the IOS 6.1 update. I have an Iphone 4s. After updating my Iphone via PC, all of my music (some 5100 songs) were removed. I checked the settings in Itunes, making sure that SYNC entire library was selected. I also made sure that my Iphone settings were set to sync via PC. It would show that it was going to resync my music, but then finish the sync without adding any music back to my Iphone. I can upload music via the cloud, including albums I burned to Itunes via CDs, but honestly I don't want to have to manually redownload every single album I have. Any ideas?

I upgraded to iOS 6.1 my iPhone 5, and now I know that I cannot disable 3G connection, but only the LTE. Am I wrong or is it? In this case turning of the 'mobile data' I turn off any kind of dowloads? Thanks

I do understand that there's no way for me to get it back but my worry are the personal details stored as well as the Itunes account, I'm having 2 iphone for 1 single Itunes account. Cant download apps on my iphone

I hope someone can help - I cannot seem to download apps from the app store. When i select install app and type in my ID, it displays installing for a few seconds, then the bar reverts back to "free" as if I have not selected it all all. I have tried different apps with the same result - does anyone have any ideas why this is happening or how to fix?? I have a 4s and its all up to date

iPhone 4s-Can't answer incoming calls when on another call

I have an iPhone 4s with sprint.. So after the update to the iOS 6 I have not been able to answer incoming calls while I am on another call. When I am on a call I can hear that "beep" that lets you know there is someone else calling you, well the screen shows no incoming call at all! However, I can still hear the beep & then when the call is "dropped" but in my call log it never shows that I missed a call..no trace what so ever. I was wondering why this would be.Before with the update I was able to answer incoming calls when I was on another call with no such problem or even swap between calls but after the update I have noticed that I can't anymore & I do remember that before in settings there was an option that allowed you to either enable or disable call waiting, which is no where to be found now. Who should I contact regarding this? I have looked online and I can't find any solutions.  Help me please!

I sent group text to over 300 contacts but not all of them delivered to all contacts in text. Why did this happen iPhone 4

I sent out a text to over 300 people in my contacts list, all as a group text, but I turned the group text option off, so that everyone got the text individually and could respond individually. I selected all of the contacts using this application called Group! that has 5-star ratings, so it works well. (keep in mind I still sent it through the regular messaging app by Apple, the Group! app was just to check off all the contacts and group them into one group text). Some of my contacts in the group text got the text, but I have a bunch of contacts that were meant to get the text that STILL haven't got the text (I sent the text at 4:30 pm ET, and it is now 11:00 pm ET); meanwhile I know for a fact that they have service, regular text/picture messaging, and iMessage.  Is this a delay? Why are they not all getting delivered? Please help! Thank you!
