Phone wont ring iPhone 3G

I have a one week old iPhone 3G that no longer rings w/ incoming calls. The charge is fine. Settings: vibrate is on; volume is turned up; ringtone is Blues. I havent changed any settings since the initial set-up when everything worked fine. Phone vibrates w/ incoming call, but no ringtone at all. Anyone else had this problem? iPhone speaker getting quieter 3G

The lower speaker on my iPhone (the one for the ringer, speakerphone, and app noises) suddenly got much quieter a few nights ago. I didnt do any updates or change any settings to prompt it, it seemed to happen out of the blue. At full volume, the ringer is very quiet. Im currently at OS 3.1.2I dont have easy access to my computer that has iTunes on it so I havent been able to update the OS or try restoring it. Does anybody know what might be causing this? Any ideas how to fix it?

Ringtones dont Sync iPhone

My ringtones still show up in iTunes but will no longer sync to my iphone. Yes, the ringtone sync button is checked. None of the ringtones were purchased, I created them myself as mr4 files. The only thing Ive done differently is checked the box to convert higher bit rate songs to 128 bit in order to get more music on the phone. The original ringtones are 256 bit. iPhone malfunctioning 3G

I am having lots of trouble with my iPhone. I only got it a little over a year ago so this is kind of discouraging. The screen shuts off randomly. When it does this and I am on the phone it disconnects my calls. The phone also, without touching the power button, shows the slide to power off screen, and sometimes shuts itself off. The volume controls switch from vibrate to loud without me doing anything. Sometimes when I tough certain places on the screen it does this also (the volume controls acting up). The other day I could also touch the screen and make it turn off and on. It has a few more problems. Is there anything I can do about this? 3G

Ive a strange issue about the conversation, in the list miss some conversation, not the older one, Ive also some very old conversation.In the conversation, sometimes miss differents SMS (sent or received dont matter), theres a sort of empty times between the different messages.Im pretty sure that I havent deleted the conversation or the sms.Is possible that Ive filled the messages memory? Ive only 45 conversation in the list? Can I increase the number of showed conversation?If the conversation are not deleted, where are they? If they are deleted theres a way to restore it? Strange Music Problem iPhone 3G

Hi,A while back I made some custom ringtones in iTunes (.m4r) with songs on my computer. Some of the songs I made ringtones from is also in my iPod of my iPhone. For quite a while when listening to music, these songs played normally. A few days ago, when these songs come up on the shuffle, they begin playing where their .m4r ringtone counterparts have been programmed to begin, as opposed to starting at the beginning of the song.I do have the option to scroll back to the beginning of the song, but cannot seem to set it so that these songs start from the beginning.Keep in mind that the songs are MP3s, as where the ringtones are .m4rs, and there are no ringtone files in the iPod section of the my phone.I have went into the iPods settings and selected to start the songs at the beginning, as opposed to start where left off.I do not know what else to do. volume randomly shuts off phone resets can not manually turn off iPhone

My phones volume will randomly turn itself down while listening to the iPod app. The ringer, too, will move itself down to zero. When I try to turn the ringer back up, the phone FIGHTS ME and maintains it at zero. Strangely enough, if I move the phone using the accelerometer, the volume will adjust itself?If I try to do a software reset, the problem persists.Often now, the phone rests on its own. Or the screen flickers, brings me to the off slider. When I try to slide the phone off, the slider bounces back.The phone also gets into this endless loop where it just constantly rests itself. Hi everyone,I just bought an iPhone 3GS about 2 weeks ago. During phone calls, 80% of the time, the volume is fine. Then, the person I am talking to will get really soft so that I can barely hear them. Anyone else having this problem? I always have a good signal when this happens, so I dont think that its the network. It has done this when Im talking different people, so its not the other person. Any ideas?Thanks!

Hi,iPhone was working fine for more than a year. Good evening, This is an intermittent problem and I have checked for the obvious like dirty contacts, cable breakage, etc... and even used a second iPhone adapter with the same results. Hey,I honestly cant remember if we ever purchased AppleCare....we bought so many things when we purchased our iphones last Feb. The issue we have run into is that my volume is no longer reducing during phone calls and I can no longer go into vibrate only mode...when I checked my serial this morning, it showed that we did have a warranty, I thought awesome, we can get this checked out but after I set up an appointment and everything, I checked again in about 30 minutes to see like the exact warranty to see if I could see what all was covered and the page was telling me that my warranty was expired...I am very confused because I cant remember if we purchased it or not and all of our paper work and things from the iphones are in storage... I am not keen on buying AppleCare for this phone since we are getting ready to upgrade to 3GS this summer....My question is does that happen often and do I need to cancel the appointment, because I dont think we can afford right now an out-of-pocket expense on fixing this phone...especially if seeing the service techs. cost. Custom ringtone weirdness iPhone 3G

So i have read all over the place about issues with custom ringtones on the iPhone 3G. I have a combination of ones I have created (mp3->AAC->m4r files), I have figured out to place them into the ringtones directory but here is the problem...I can only get one or 2 to show up at a time. Example...ringtone A, B, C, D are added to the ringtone directory on the iPhone. Only ringtone B shows on the phone after syncing. If I go into iTunes and remove B from the iPhone, it syncs again...but now ringtone C appears on the phone itself. iTunes shows the other tones in the directory. What is going on here? Something is being parsed wrong? File settings? If any of the tones are the only ones on the phone, they show up and work fine. It is once more than one are added to the directory that it just acts like a nut and randomly picks what will show up. iPhone 3G iPhone OS 3.1.2

Barely audible text message sound iPhone

When I send a text, go back to the home screen, and receive a new text, my normal text message sound plays. However, when I send a text and lock the phone, without going back to the home screen, if the same recipient texts me back, it will play a sound that is barely audible. It wont even notify me of a new text. I will see that I received a message if I randomly look at my phone. I should add that my normal text sound is the bell, and the barely audible sound is the one where you receive a message as you have the SMS app open. Big difference when you hear the two in terms of volume.Is there anyway to have it notify me with the same sound, rather than the barely audible sound when my phone is locked? iPhone iPhone OS 3.1.3

I tried restoring. It works for about 10 minutes until my iphone freezes and then the sound functions dont work. I tried restoring all settings to default. It isnt a headphone, bluetooth, or volume problem. Also, the play function on my iphone and Youtube doesnt work. Voicemail doesnt work either. speaker doesnt work too but everything else works fine. The other person cant hear me and I cant hear them. Phone rings and I still can dial. Are they related? Lost purchases when restoring phone iPhone 3G

Hi im a first time poster and need help, now im not that good with itunes on the computer but i plugged my phone in the other day for the new download and something went wrong and it needed to restore the phone~~heres where my problems start!!!Firstly my husband and i have different login accounts on itunes but payment always comes from mine however its only his apps that show on the screen, no matter who is logged in???? so on the back up all my apps were lost and his were put back on the phone! iPhone ringtone intermittenly flips to Alarm even though set to Marimba

I have had my iPhone for about 6 months and have never added any custom ringtones. I have my ringtone set to Marimba. Out of the blue about 2 weeks ago the Alarm ringtone started playing when I got a call even though it is still set to Marimba. Once this starts, I have to turn off the phone and restart - this works for awhile then the Alarm ringtone kicks in again which is really loud and obnoxious, particularly when I am at work. When i receive calls, i can hear them but it is not that much better. this only started happening recently.
