way to recover data was not backed up from my iPhone 5

Today I completed a software update for my iPhone 5 without backing it up because I did not receive a warning that all my data would be erased and so, did not realize it would be an issue. Upon completing the update, I realized my mistake but figured it was too late to revert the damage and continued with the restoration of my phone to its factory settings. After completing the update, I realized just how much data was lost (including important notes with financial information and images and videos of recent trips around Europe). Now I am desperate to try to recover the data deleted in the update. Is there any chance at all that I can recover something? The notes and videos are most important to me. I am also missing many messages but that is less important to me. Can anyone please help? Any response is greatly appreciated!

My built in apps have disappeared how can person reinstall Safari Siri or App Store on an iphone 4S

I have lost my built in apps and do not know how to reinstall them on my phone.  The Safari and App Store icons are gone.  I can no longer surf the net on my phone and the little "microphone" key has also disappeared when I send text messages etc.  I now have to actually type the message instead of speaking into my phone.  Siri has also vanished.  Any advice?

Hi there! There are troubles with Facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated Facebook App and by Facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/Facebook-Settings/Notifications/Facebook-Facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted Facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? My phone won't send picture messages to any phone other than an iPhone and when I googled it, the solution was to restore it.So I did. Downloading the software itself took nearly 3 hours, but whatever. My phone restarted, but now the bar is stuck at ~3/4 done and it's on "restoring firmware". It's been this way for over 20min. I use iTunes 11.0 and Windows 7.Can anyone help me out? Would it be bad to reboot my computer at this stage?

Iphone 4s turning off every minute

My Iphone is turning itself off every minute.  I've tried a reset while hooked to a computer and it doesnt even give it enough time to complete the reset before it shuts down again.  Keep getting error messages or looses the connection. Hard reboot doesnt work either.  Please help

It returns 2 results. I click the message I want to view and it opens the most recent message in thread. So I tried using Spotlight. Granted, it returns more results (about 6,7), but when I click the message to finish reading it, again, it opens the most recent message in the thread. My iPhone 5 battery drains a lot. After 42 minutes of usage, and 5 hours of standby it drops to 89%. I'm just wondering if thats normal. I dropped my phone with an otterbox defender case on the phone on its back, directly following the fall (maybe 3ft) the screen remains black, however, the phone is still on because I get text messages and emails. I believe that the digitizer may have been dislodged from the logic board. Should I investigate the phone myself or take it in, mind you the nearest apple store (grrr) is almost 60 miles away.

viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iPhone 3G

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! Thanks in advance &cu,-udo

iPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls

Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!!   ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

iPhone 4s Problems with iMessage and Pics

1. Starting on April 24th my iMessage option stopped working. When I would send a text to another iphone user they wouldn't receive the text. I turned that option off and sent test text messages - they went through. Turned iMessage back on - and nothing was received. Does anyone know why that would be happening? It is rather frustrating when a needed function does not work.  2. Also, I can not receive picstures over text anymore. I can receive them when I open my messenger program on my laptop, but nothing over text.  Does anyone know what is going on with these issues?!

Hi All, So I have disbled my iPhone 4s by forgetting my passcode (like it seems many other people do!). Also as the phone went dead as I was away for the weekend the SIM is also locked. I have often backed it up to iCloud but I never had the camera roll back up option ticked as I cannot see it when I sign into iCloud. I dont have iTunes on my laptop or access to the original iTunes where it was synced a year and a half ago. My question is can I get the phone unlocked by Apple? ( I have the IMEI number and proof of purchase) Is there any way of keeping or getting my photos/videos and messages? When I had my phone plugged into the laptop and was clicking backup through wifi will this have also backed up my photos? Thanks!

iPhone 4s Software Update fail from 5.1.1 to 6.1.3

Hey everyone I have been holding back from updating my iOS on my iphone 4s (I know - not a smart move) I am currently still on 5.1.1 and trying to update to 6.1.3 (finally) from the phone itself (not via iTunes) I am trying to downlaod and install the update using Wi-Fi connectivity, but it just wouldn't let me? Kept saying An Error occured while downloading... It didn't give me any error code or any other explanation. It just simply won't update  I know it was silly of me to begin with for not updating for so long, but I don't understand why my phone is rejecting the update? If this is even what is happening..  Also I sent my iMac for repair recently, came back with a Lion (which was what I had on there previously anyway) but it wasn't updated? So I couldn't just open iTunes and restore all my contacts..  AND I am still currently in the process of downloading the updates - but something always happens as well, an error occured that I have to re-download the update, internet drops on and off, etc.  -- The reason I wanted to update was (this is a whole separate problem) my 4s kept crashing the apps, not doing anything out of ordinary - it just crashes everytime i start or a open an app. So I would hard reset my phone (turning it off and on again) and then I would find all my contacts gone. No other entries are gone, just my contact names! All messages and calendar entries are all still there - just no contact names in my address book. ***? After sleuthing here and there, and found no real solution to this problem. I decided to update my iOS because one of the discussion thread I found told me to try that. Heck, why not.  SO I tried uploading and this is where I end up..    Does ANYONE have any idea what the **** is going on? Does anyone else out tehre have the same problem? Surely this is not just me!!

I have an Iphone 4 8gb and it seems that everytime I try to download an app/song or try to take a photo/video it is constantly telling me there's no more space left on my Iphone. The content of my iphone is: 1.40 GB's of music, 761.1 MB of photos, 779.6 MB of apps, and 3.39 GB's of other. I don't know how to get rid of the "other" part that takes up half my storage. If anyone has some helpful ways to get rid of the other storage without losing all my data (pics, music, apps, messages, etc) let me know!

So my iPhone slipped out of the back of my pocket & into the toilet. Now its been water damaged for about 3-4 hours now & at one time it would allow me to make calls & text messages-the normal- but now that I am home from work, i have a red screen showing on my iPhone. Can't hear just one person through my iPhone 4

Okay, so lets see if this works. So I've had my iphone 4 for about a year and a half, I've never really had issues beside the normal glitching and having calls drop here and there. Recently I've had an issue with my iphone connecting with just one individual. Yes, I know it sounds weird but keep reading. I have been able to make calls and recieve phone calls fine, however I cannot with just one single individual. They to also only have the same problem with me, however the only difference is they can hear me but I cant hear them or anything. We're able to text and send picture messages without any issues. Now sometimes when I try to call them, itll ring twice and then the line just goes dead, but thats usually them picking it up. I cannnot hear them at all. I've already done the reset on my phone and I've already contacted apple about this issue and their about as lost as I am because it doesnt make sense that this is only happening with one individual. I've also blew out the speakers and such like people have suggested. I use my head phones that came with my speaker, and ive connected and reconnected them incase my iphone thought they were plugged in.  Let me give you a little bit more info. They have an android phone, we have the same carrier which is verizon and they live in another state (not sure if thats helpful). I'm completely lost because this has been going on for about 4 days now and its driving me crazy. This happened a few weeks ago, however it magically fixed its self ( im thinking it was because I had bad service). If anyone has any solutions that might help, please, please let me know.

Hello  I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased upon release in New Zealand around December.  Recentlly, more and more often, I will go to check messages or notifications on my phone by pressing the home or power button to wake it and display the lock screen (a simple enough task, one would imagine). However the screen will not show. They phone simply stays black. Sometimes I can press either button again and it wil wake, other times I will need to wait anywhere up to 10 minutes.  I have tried factory restoring my phone to no avail. It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iPhone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named:  com.apple.iapd.plist  is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.

I have an old 3G as well as a 4S. Initially I set up a separate iTunes account for the 4S as I was worried I'd lose my old apps for 3G (as older, compatible versions aren't kept in the iTunes store so once they're gone, they're gone...). 3G is set up to sync with iTunes, 4S is inly syncing mail and conatcts through Exchange but hasn't been synced with an iTunes library for the reason above. Is there a way to sync both phones off the same iTunes account, so I can set up each phone with some music, as well as apps, without iOS 5 versions overwriting the exisitng apps for the 3G? To complicate things further, I don't want to sync photos, contacts, messages, etc. I just want to avoid having to duplicate all my music and pay for all the apps all over again.
