recovering pictures from crushed iphone

Took several pics last night and before the pics could make it to the photo stream, the phone got run over.are they saved on the sim?  How can I get them off?

My phone volume goes down and ringer icon comes up and stays on blocking view. buttons are not stuck. Why this appending and how I fix it. iPhone

Why does my iPhone volume  ringer icon come on by itself, the volume gets turned down on its own then the icon stays on and blocks my view. It also will at any time make any screen switch to large pictures that I can only see a small portion of screen at a time. I have tried too tap screen to make it go back to normal and nothing happens. I then try to turn it off. After several tries I am successful Its hard slide power off button because only a small section is showing. What is happening? How do I fix this?

4s being slow and lagging iPhone

I have noticed that my phone has started to become slow and lagging. I make sure i kill all apps that are running when i am not using them. Connected to Wifi when i can and everything else that i can tell is normal. Just need more advice on what to do. I do not want to hard reset the phone. Already had problems with Itunes before and don't want to try to figure everything out again. Thanks

vodafone issues iPhone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. Enjoy!

Help with my iPhone 5.

So today I want to restore my iPhone 5 to 6.0. I have tried to do so by getting the firmware of the correct form, (my make of my phone, model number, etc) and for some reason it won't restore. I've tried 2 different ones, 6.0 and 6.1 and to no avail. On iTunes it keeps coming up with 'Error 3194' I have researched into this and I have done as instructed on the official Apple error code help page, but still, it doesn't work, can anyone help? Hi all.Had my iPhone 4s for about a year.  For the last few days I've had to turn it off and turn back on in order to make or receive phone calls (Call Failed message).  It then works fine for a while.  Receive texts (telling me I've missed a call), send texts, connect to internet etc no problem.Any ideas?

iphone 5 lock button not working

I get my iphone 5 for only two months and last week i found out that my lock button is not really working. At first i thought it was because of my casing make it not working, after then i took off the casing and then i have to press it hardly or press on the different angle then it just works! so i wonder, the whole lock button works if the iphone don't have any problem？ or some angle we press may not respond?it still working most of the time now just i wonder can i get the new one under warranty? when i press the wrong angle, it takes me few seconds to lock my iphone i am feeling like how come i use only for two months such problem can accur ;( pls help!

Hey, there: I have my phone set to back-up to icloud.  I assume when it says "screen locked," that means the little toggle on the upper left. In any case, when I am in iTunes, I find my "libraries" file or whatever has all my voice messages.  But where are the text messages?  I want to both back them up and make hard copies, as I use them for things that need a record. I am of course being clueless.  Thanks. Kenneth

Hello! I live in Singapore. Our service provider allows us calls to countries around the world at no addional cost if we dial 019 first. However, I can't seem to use it with Siri. If i want to call my brother in california, I would have to dia 0191818xxxxxxx   It works when i punch it in, but siri won't actually make the call. says it's unable to. Same with anyone else overseas. (I live in this country alone.. all my family is abroad and I would like to be able to use Siri to make calls to family and friends internationally using 019).  Please let me know if there is a fix for this. Microphone doesn't work while recording video iPhone 5

Hi everyone. I have an iPhone 5, and yesterday while trying to make a Vine while using the front-facing/FaceTime camera, I discovered that it didn't pick up any sound. However if I switch to the main camera (the HD one on the back), audio picks up and can be heard. This is a problem when I'm recording regular video too. Microphone works with the back camera, doesn't work with the front. Is there any way to fix this?  Thanks!

Erasing data from iphone 4 and installing new data from iphone 3gs

A friend has given me her iphone 4.  It still has all her data on it.  I want to install my data and erase hers.  How can I do this and make sure my data is safe.  I connected her phone to my computer thinking that I could reset it back to factory settings but it seemed that my computer wanted to save the data off the phone first.  I don't want to do this.  What's the easiest way of wiping her phone clean and then installing the data from mine? There are a couple of game apps on her computer that I'm happy to keep.  Is it easy to save these?  I'm prepared to erase them with the rest of the data from her phone if it's a problem.

i woke up to a black screen, the home button wont turn it on. i have shut off and turned back on from sceen memorization. luckly siri still works so i make calls and reply to messages that way but i cannot see anything im doing. the phone is fully functional i just cant see anything. i have tried to restore it by pressing both the home and lock button at once but i didnt have any luck. is there anything i should try? has this happend to you? should i just take it to the apple store?

Depending on what Operating system your computer runs you should follow on of the articles below to troubleshoot the issue with your phone not being recognised in itunes. Windows:http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 Mac:http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1591 make sure you follow all steps in the article based on your computers operating system. If all issues remains then you should try a back up to icloud. Go to settings>icloud and sign in with your apple id then follow the article below and it will show you how to back up to icloud and what can be backed up: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4859 Keep in mind you must be running iOS 5 or above to have the icloud feature.

Apparently, since I loaded some antivirus/download apps, I am having problems with my telephone acoustics. I can make a call and hear the recipient but they cannot hear me.  The mute button is not switched on !  I have tried removing recent apps but the problem remains. Hello, I bought an iPhone 4S from a friend last year , I live in united states , it was unlocked, I went on vacation to Peru and  I activated the iPhone there , meaning I used a SIM card from a Peruvian carrier , everything worked good there , now that I am back in the states I reset the iPhone because I need to sell it, I took the SIM card out of the iPhone first and I was using the iPhone with out the SIM card  for a week I mean I couldn't make any phone calls just using it when i was connected to a wi-fi , today  I reseted all data and settings , when I tried to turn it on it asked me to set up language, location and wireless connection and then the screen showed " please insert a SIM card" , "try again"........ It doesn't let do anything else. Does anybody can help me please, do I have to put back the SIM card knowing that  SIM card doesn't work in this country, what do I have to do ?? Before I reseted the iPhone all apps and IOS were update.

Broken battery iPhone 4S

I just replaced a new battery to my iPhone 4s. The reason that I replaced battery was because it had an huge battery drain every minute.After replacing the new battery, the phone randomly shuts off without me using it at all. It has also started to "lag" (it lags when swiping the homescreen and using apps etc. ) Is there anything I can do to make things alright here? Thanks for every suggestions!

As I have stated, iphone will not pick up any network and just stays on searching. Also, when "call" button is "pressed" the buttons does the graphic of being pressed, but doesn't make the call. Also des bnot receive calls or text messages.  Have tried turning on and off/rebooting, turning airplane mode on and off, checked to make sure cellular data is on, resetting network settings. No changes. My iPhone keeps dropping its cellular Internet connection. iPhone 5

My iPhone keeps dropping its cellular connenction for the Internet. I have to switch the phone off and back on or mobile data on or off or a combination of both to make it work again.  On a possibly related but maybe unrelated note it also switches off while it still has battery (sometimes with as much as 30% left), then it won't start until it is plugged in again and then it starts up showing plenty of battery.

GPS on iPhone 4 Sometimes doesn't work

Hi Everyone.  I have an iPhone4 which was purchased from Koodo. When I used google map to navigate, sometimes the gps couldn't figure out where I was. The arrow was off the street and it stopped moving. I had to reboot my iphone to make it work. It has happened about 4-5 times in a month. Most of the time, it is fine. BTW, when I use automatic time zone, it never works I had another iPhone4 (unlocked from Apple Store) which never had such problem.  The IOS is up to date. I called Apple store asking for an exchange. They said no coz I got it from Koodo rather than Apple Store. They asked me to sign up the Genesis Bar instead.  Did anyone have a similar situation before?  Thank you very much for your help.

Can I take my friends iPod to get repaired iPhone 5

Hi all, This is two questions rolled into one thread, really, but here goes. My friend Jacob has an iPhone 5 that seems to have been giving him trouble. The wifi is incredibly weak, the front camera doesn't work and the screen is slightly patchy. The phone is still under warranty, but I just wanted to check beforehand whether a visit to the genius bar would fix this? Secondly, he won't be around for the next two weeks to make that visit himself,  so he's left the iPhone with me. My question is, would try still replace the phone if he isn't there? They don't require ID or anything, do they?  Oh, and he restored the phone before he left, so now it's stuck in the activation screen... Will that be a problem?

Since upgrading to iOS 6 my talkatone app won t ring iPhone 3G

when I receive a new text. I used to be able to upload custom ringtones to the app and it would make my phone ring. I contacted talkatone support and they said apple disabled this feature when they created iOS 6. This is extremely frustrating as now it only beeps twice quietly so if I leave my phone downstairs or my kids are being too loud (which is always lol) I can't hear new texts. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?? Also, the search function in the App Store doesn't work. I do a search and the screen stays blank (and yes I am searching for things that I KNOW exist in the app store).
