Replaced iPhone . Can't restore from iCloud. iPhone 5

I'm in desperate need of help and this is my first time posting on the forums. I got my iphone 5 replaced by sprint due to a few dead pixels that became very noticable. I backed up all my info to iCloud. Now, when I'm trying to restore my replacement, I'm not allowed to. I'll click restore from iCloud and enter my user name and password and it works just fine. It restores, and half way installs all my apps and then says that its unable to finish. It says my iCloud password is wrong. The problem is, I must've backed up iCloud to my old Apple ID username and it's not letting me change it! I tried to explain it the best I could. Thanks in advance.

iPhone stopped charging

Everytime I need to charge my iPhone 4, I plug it into my computer and it charges. But today it just won't. It keeps showing a message saying charging isn't supported and the computer acts like I'm unplugging and plugging the phone back in. The cord seems fine, I just have no clue why it's doing this. Any ideas?

iphone 5 and backing up corrupt

I'm trying to back up my iPhone to my computer, and I'm getting the message"iTunes could not back up the iPhone [my_name] because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone"  I sorta know how it happened.  I lost a hard disk, but kept a current backup of my entire iTunes library on another drive (because I've lost drives before) and when I replaced it, itunes worked again, except for this...  Anyhow, I've googled this problem, and found a solution; in Device Preferences > Devices, delete any backups that appear, and then try again.  But... The box is empty.  There are no backups listed.  I used to have one, I know I did.When I try to back up again, thinking it would create a Device Backup, I get the error. I'm not interested in recovering anything from the backup, as I have original on the phone, as well as the current library. I just need to delete something in the iTunes folder in order to clear this problem, but I don't know what.  (I'm an advanced user, I can handle it.)  Help! thanks

iPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode but I don't want to restore

I backed up my phone then tried to update it to iOS 6.1.3 and the update wasn't working so i unplugged it, hoping to start over. My phone is now in recovery mode and I've tried holding the buttons and nothing has worked. I DO NOT WANT TO RESTORE MY PHONE. I have important pictures on my phone and they will be erased. What do I do?

To complete unlocking iphone4 , 0ne day after receiving approval email, when connecting iphone to PC, a lock sign appeared. No process or other choices appeared. Should I wait more time or something wrong happened. The sim card is not AT&T  may this be the reason?

Headphone output problems iPhone 5

My headphone output just went crazy. The phone restarted when I plugged in the headset and when it came back on it started distorting all the music. It also make a noise which stops about 10 seconds after I stop playing the music. I tried restarting the phone and also installed the latest software update. For me it doesnt seem like a hardware-problem. It's more like a bug in the audio-driver.. Anyone know anything about this?

Facebook App not connecting with other apps. Help iPhone 5

I recently changed my apple I.D. to a different e-mail address because the one I had was hacked. I recently went to the Apple Store because my iCloud wasn't connecting and backing up my other stuff. So, they deleted the account and connected me to the account under my new e-mail. Everything is working fine. All of my stuff is still the same and nothing has changed. However, my Facebook app isn't working when I try to connect it to other apps such as Pinterest, Twitter, and Vine. When I go to my settings, and then to Facebook, it says "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password:". I have tried to enter my password multiple times and it doesn't work. I have tried my old password too, and still nothing. I changed my Facebook e-mail and password after my e-mail got hacked. I changed my Facebook e-mail when my e-mail got hacked, and I also changed my password. So, does anyone know what to do? I'm getting very frustrated.  Thanks, Jackie

Strange noise by iPhone 5 when shaking

Hey! I've just bought an iPhone5 and started to use it today. After activting and having the first look at it, I came to realize that it gives a really strange noise when I gently shake it. It sounds as if something would not be properly fixed inside the phone. The sound comes from the top of the phone (around the camera part). Im wondering whether anyone else had the same issue with their iPhone5, bacause I have not experienced anything like this with my two previos iPhones. What can cause this sound? Should I just take it back and let them replace it?! Thanks in advance!

iPhone 4S continuously shows low load balance notification

It all started when I took some pictures today, then after couple of photos, the Camera app crashes. Tried to open up the camera app again and attempted to take some photos but it crashes immediately again. Couple of seconds later I get this notification. Lots of it. Next thing I did is to hard restart my iPhone but although the notification appears again even though I don't take pictures now. It seems for me that this issue isn't influenced by the camera at all but more on iOS issue. From then on I keep getting this notification to the point whenever I wake my iPhone, I keep pressing the DISMISS button. This is really annoying and frustrating as it attempts to consume my load. For additional info:iPhone 4S 32GBiOS 6.1.3Not jailbrokeniPhone is not set for any 3G/data subscription, whatsoever. iphone 4 randomly freezes-what hardware to swap

Good Afternoon, ive recently started up my own business fixing mobile phones - mostly cracked screens and chassis replacements. Just recently i thought id got a bargain on ebay regarding an iphone 4. It was described as working correctly, can make / receive calls and send texts etc but randomly locks up. Ive got the phone today, unfortunately its locked to the 3 network so ive got a micro sim on the way so I cant actually proceed further at this point.  Although it did crash once on me when i tried to select language's etc - had to hold the home and power button down until it turned off. Ive read on the forums that this is a common fault, and can occur to any iphone - faulty or otherwise.  And the main concensus seems to be to take it back to the store for a swap. My main question is - seeing how im likely to come across this fault again - is the fault software or hardware related? If its hardware related what circuit board is likely to be the culprit?  If we could identify the problem then im sure I could just order the required part on ebay. The fact that apple havent recalled the iphone and that they will accept these faulty iphone's back and swap for new suggests to me its an easy fix - its just easier for the technicians to go in the store room and get a brand new one. Secondly ive just got another iphone 4 white - bought cheap as its totally dead.  Tried a new battery and still nothing.  Got a new dock / charging connector on the way - is it likely to be this at fault?  Doesnt seem to be any sign of water damage, and it wasnt described as this on the ebay page. When id swapped the new battery over i tried to charge the phone ( to see if id fixed it ) and it got extremely hot - so i disconnected right away and left it to cool off. Whats likely to be the issue with that one? Thanks, and hope someone can help Adam

iPhone 5 says its connected to home Wifi but can't use it

Last week or so, my iPhone 5 stopped connecting to my home WiFi. It "sees" the network, and either gets stuck in an endless grey dot loading circle or it even says it is joined. But it still is using Cellular for some reason. My home computer is connecting fine to the WiFi. I have an AirPort base connected to a router provided by Cablevision. I've tried restarting everything - airport, router, -- and have restarted network settings. Nothing works. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Alternating Data Service iPhone 4S

Mainly my problem is that most of the time now i have to switch toEDGE and then back to 4G to get faster internet. I have an iphone 4S Unlocked, I am using   t-mobile and i have made sure that it is not the service nor the SIM.Ive reset the setting, ive had a restore again to a new iphone, and ive tried to downgrade my carrier version back to carrier 14.0 from t-mobile 14.1.It worked before i restored to IOS 6.1.3 because of memory issuess. I have made my way arround how IOS works and most of the technical stuff to do with it. Overall, How can i fix this or what can i do essentaily to bring back my faster and more reliable internet? p.s DIdnt know where this would go so i posted it here. p.s+ Yes i was jailbroken before i restored. At that time i had good cellular internet

All of the sudden my iPhone 4S speakers are giving problem. The sound comes and goes and the even I increase or decrease the volume, no volume control shows up.

iphone 4 won't charge

Greetings, My i4 developed yet another problem in the series (previous issues concerned home button, power button and camera module)... Two nights ago, I had the phone plugged in the PC, in order to make backup, syncronize with iTunes, change music etc etc... It took around an hour, maybe hour and a half, and I was surprised to see that the battery (which was not even close to flat) reached only about 70%. Shortly after I unplugged the phone, the battery dropped to 50%. That night I forgot to plug it in again, and I spent the whole day yesterday saving the battery. Later that day, I got home and plugged it in immediately. 2 hours later, the battery was still on 14%. I left it "charging" for the whole night, just to find out that this morning, it was still on 14%. While checking emails and stuff, the indicator "jumped" to 16%, but then dropped to 10%. Now it shows 3% eventhough it's still connected to the computer. There is a battery indicator on the lock screen, which means that it doesn't refuse the charger, but somehow the battery refuses to be charged. The indicator in the upper right corner shows "plug in" symbol, as if it has been charged, not a "thunder" as if it's still charging. I tried cleaning both the dock connector and the cable, I tried different cables, I tried charging from the wall socket and from various PCs, but nothing seems to work. Everything else seems fine though. Battery dead and needs replacing, or is it something more "fruttier"? Thank you!

Long story short - went on a 15 mile bike ride with my iphone 4 stuck into my sportsbra - took it out to wipe it every so often, but moisture did get trapped in the case. Anyways, after the bike ride I went to Starbucks, phone was working fine. Pull phone out 2 minutes later - it has shut off. Nothing. Held home screen and lock button together, etc, nothing. Plugged into charger, nothing. I immediately ran to CVS, got rice, phone is in a cup of rice submerged as we speak. Am I screwed/should i go order a refurbished iPhone at the Apple store tomorrow? Or will I maybe be in luck with leaving it in the rice overnight/until Friday? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!!!

You understand it is a mesh. At the Vodaphone store they say its a hardware problem. The want to collect it and repair. Has anyone experience with this and now how to deal with it. No sound on appfunction iPhone 5

Hi guys i got my iPhone 5 about 2 week after launch and about 3 weeks later i lost all sound clicks from text's, game apps, YouTube wouldn't play any videos and it worked perfectly fine when i went to bed wake up in the morning to this.  I rebooted the phone and this resolved the issue, the phone was not in silent mode via settings or via the slider at the top of the phone.  the phone would be working fine for about 3 weeks then this would happen again same issues as above this went on till about the 14th December and Apple decided to change my phone now its happening again.  I am at a lose end does anybody know a fix or heard of this before as i am sure this problem could not happen too 2 different phones ?  Thanks

iphone 5 suddenly no service.

My iphone 5 suddenly went to "No Service" and has worked ony intermittently since. I have tried shutting down and re starting, resetting the netowork settings, putting phone in airplane mode and the back on and turning off wi fi, all to no avail. Any suggestions???

my iPhone 4 Genuinely NEW or Refurbished Please HELP

#I just received my BRAND NEW, SEALED, iPhone4 32 GB FACTORY UNLOCKED which I bought from Ebay. After unboxing, I switched on the phone to find that it was already activated, and did NOT show the "Connect to iTunes" screen, which gave me doubts whether this phone is actually brand new, the phone does have that protective film on the front and back which normally comes with brand new iPhones, anyhow I went online and did some intense research and found interesting facts about the serial number, and from my understanding the phones with serial numbers starting with 5K could be a refurbished phone, and indeed my supposedly BRAND NEW iPhone which came in a sealed retail box with all accessories does have a 5K serial number, so I did some more googling and came across a web site which gives details about an iPhone with its serial number and it shows this phone is a refurbished one. I checked on Apple website for warranty and it says "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contactus."  #Now all you good knowledgeable people out there, please please shed some light on this matter.Is this really a genuine brand new phone? When I contacted the seller regarding     the phone being already activated, he said it is normal with phones     which are factory unlocked. But I believe it is actually supposed to     show  - “Connect to iTunes” screen. That was how it was with my     iPhone 3G. At least right out of a brand new box. Am I correct? How can a refurbished iPhone come in a     sealed retail box? Even if that was the case, would it cost the same     as a normal brand new FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone because I paid US $     904.00 for this. Does Apple sell refurbished iPhones as     new? What confuse me is that the box have all the labels intact as     it was a sealed box, and the serial number and IMEI number match     with the actual phone. Should I consider this a genuine     product that Apple meant to sell as it is or better I go for a claim     and either get a refund or replacement from the seller on Ebay?.   Thank you very much in advance for all your kind help and insights. iPhone 5 won't wake up from sleepstandby

Hello, I am having a really strange problem with my iphone 5 for last 3-4 months. Sometime when i want to use my iphone from standby/sleep mode it dosent do anything! sleep/wake button, home button even silent/sound button dosent work. I know the silent/sound button dosen't work cause normally it vibrate when I turn it on. So the problem is my phone wont wake up from sleep/standby mode. The screen stays black and nothing works. If i press the home button and power button for 10-15 time very quickly, then it takes a screen shot and wakes up!! Sometime it stays in this stage for 5-10min. So here is what i did to solve the problem.1. I restore the phone from phone and ituens.2. I delete all icloud backup and started as a new phone3. I went to apple store and replace the phone with a new one!!4. I jailbreak it at last to see if it solve the problem!5. turn off the icloud to see if it works And sadly nothing of all this solved my problem! Now im not sure any specific app causing the problem but it almost impossible to find it out. So if anyone have any similar problem or any suggestion to solve it, then it will be really helpful.

Iphone 5 loudspeaker micsirivoice to text not picking up sound.

Hi, I am new to this forum so i apologise in advance for not following any rules thats set. I have a Iphone 5, 16 GB for 6 months and for the past month or so i've been having issues with the microphone.     1. During a call if i want to use loudspeaker the mic cuts out so the person on the other end can not hear what i am saying, yet while during a call off loudspeaker          they can hear me fine.     2. Siri can not detect anything i say or any noise what so ever when i try to use siri, but can when using a headset.     3. When trying to use voice to text in messages no speech is detected. When using a headset under all three of these, they work fine, calling someone works fine aslong as i don't use loudspeaker.i have tried to restore the phone to see if this corrects the problems but no luck. The firmware version is 6.1.4, on EE 4G. Any help with this is appriciated. Tyler.

Having Paid about £20 for an official unlocking, I am being told to insert a Non-orange 3G Sim card into the phone that is to be unlocked (orange is the network the iPhone iscurrently locked to).  Well I don't have a Non-orange 3G Sim card do I !! Call confirmation without jailbreaking prevent accidental call iPhone 3G

I found an app that provides a call confirmation without jailbreaking the phone called "Group Contact." in settings, if you turn 'return to the app after phone call" on, you get the message "you will be alerted before making the call, and the app will be re-opened after the call." Before every call, a call confirmation is delivered, which solves my problem perfectly!

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iPhone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages? 

My IPhone shut off and will not turn back on

SO here's what happened,  I was texting a friend and listening to music on my iphone... Then all of a sudden I get this pop up notification that says "This adaptor is not supported" I didnt have my phone plugged in and then all of a sudden it turned off and will not start back up. I tried the following:Charge my phone for an hourPressed the sleep/power+home button for 20 secondsPressed the home button and plugged it in my computer while doing so Now with that said, I need to know the following:Is there hope for my Phone?And if I have to replace it, can I go to my cell phone provider-ATT and have them replace it ( I have insurance on it) because the closest Apple store to me is 3 hours away.  All the advice the better!

Unlock and imei issues iPhone 4

My iphone 4 has just completed my two year contract with vodafone. However in this time my phone broke and I used apple to repair it. Which in fact is actually a switch service. So now I have a different imei number than what I started with. I rang vodafone to unlock my phone, but they say they can't and there is nothing they can do as the phone was not issued by them. I also can't seem to find a way to unlock my phone via apple. So what can I do??Any help would be awesome!

Iphone 4 on t-mobile full signal but wont makereceive calls

Please help - My iphone 4 intermittently stops making and receiving calls/texts without warning, the phone will have a full signal and could be anywhere in the country but when you try to make a call it won't do it. If you then ring the phone it is as if it is turned off, if you then turn the phone off then on again it works perfectly well until the next time which might be in days or hours. T -Mobile talked me through a reset but this has not worked and Apple want a fee to help further as the phone is 22 months old, it is however little used and still looks new. Any help appreciated

Dropped iPhone 4 in to toilet but hear me out

I dropped my phone into the toilet. I got it out as quickly as possible, but it did get submerged. When I got it out, the screen turned on by itself, but I didn't think much of it, and I stuck it in rice for a few hours. When I went to check on it, it seemed fine, as the screen turned on and all the buttons seemed to be working, other than being slightly laggy. The volume buttons worked, but the didn't seem to do anything to the volume. The speakers worked as well, and even the vibrating part did. the lagging didn't get any better though, so I decided to see if reseting it would work. It turned off fine, and the apple symbol came up, but that was where it stopped, and it now will not turn on. I checked the LCI in the headphone jack and the charging slot, and the one in the headphone jack has a tiny pinkish-red dot, and the one in the charging slot doesn't look red at all. I stuck it back into the rice just in case. Can anybody help with my situation?Just some info, up until I put my phone into the rice the first time, I was mostly in full panic mode, and even after I put it in the rice, I kept checking to see if it worked by pressing the sleep button. I'm pretty sure I did everything I'm not supposed to do, but what can I say?

My iPhone 4 front camera isn't working HELP

My iphone 4 front camera is not working. I can use the regular camera however when i try to switch to the front camera it either freezes or does nothing. I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, restarting it, and resetting it but nothing has worked. Does anyone know if this problem is a sofware or hardware problem? And any ideas about what i can do to fix it other than what i have already done?

Camera problem with iPhone 5

I purchased my iPhone 5 in January 2013 in India. For past couple of months, my phone camera dies frequently. The first time it happenned, I update the phone with iOS 6.1.3 and it started working. Next time when Camera was not working then I reset the phone and it started working, Now, I have the same problem, when I open the camera, shutter does not open and I am not able to click any picture. Does anyone has a similar problem with their iPhone 5? YouTube not available iPhone 3G

Take your time to write a thoughtful comment on a video, hit send, and it's gone, "youtube is not available". It happens frequently on the iphone app yet never happens on the desktop site. This bug has followed the youtube app across multiple phones (OG & 3G), multiple OS updates, and still happens randomly. Not having a feature is better than one that frequently doesn't work, and frustrates, as well as wastes your time...I'm so ready to checkout the latest from HTC  I copied this question from an archived thread from 2009. I'm having the same issue. I comment on YouTube a couple of times and it's fine, the third time it completely blocks me. It's very frustrating. Looking at the replies from 4 years ago it seems that its definitely the app that has the issue, not the main website. Something to do with capture was the solution last time. Why do I have this issue now, does anyone else have this problem?iPad 3' iphone4sPlease sort it out, it's getting hard to defend iPhone these days!

Water damage to screen but phone working iPhone 4S

I got a small amount of water in my iphone, at first i thought it was ok but after about half hour the water had spread through my screen, and it started going blotchy and cloudy. The touch screen still works, speakers, charger, camera etc. Only thing is phone wont turn off? I tried the rice for a few hours but didnt do much. Does the apple warrenty cover water damage if not how do i get this repaired?

Crashing and screen flickering problems. iPhone 4

I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iPhone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iPhone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iPhone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

I have OS 4 and am trying to update; the error message I get says "The required disk cannot be found." Do I need to get OS 5 before making the leap to OS 6? How?

iPhone 5 Rear Microphone

Hello, There appears to be an issue with my iPhone 5's rear camera microphone. When recording video it causes white noise and I can barely hear any audio at all. To diagnose the fault I phoned myself and put music on. I could hear the music fine without loudspeaker, I then switched on loudspeaker while the screen was facing upwards (to test the front facing mic) and it was fine, once I turned the phone upside down, the audio cut out. To ensure that my desk wasn't just blocking my front facing mic, I switched loudspeaker off and then turned it back to face up, then again to face down and then switched loudspeaker back on. Unfortunately it confirmed that was the fault. I have recorded voice memos and front facing videos with no issue, but when using the rear camera I still have the same fault. I have cleaned out the small opening for the mic and haven't caused my phone any damage, so I can't understand why this would happen? Has anyone else had this issue? Will I have to have my entire phone replaced, the whole rear camera or just the microphone? Are there any fixes I can perform myself? Thanks,Ross

iPhone 5's POWER BUTTON got compressed.

I bought an iPhone 5 last month, for starters, i didn't notice that the Power Button was compressed as in its still working but just, it doesn't have the 'button click' feel like a normal iPhone. Recently my friend bought an iPhone too, when i compared our iPhones, i found out that his iPhone's Power Button has a 'pop up' feel where mine is compressed. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and the place i bought it in Johor. Can i know whether can i get a repair or replacement for it? Who should i contact to do so? Note: i bought it in a small DIGI shop in Johor. And, i heard that iPhones bought in small retail shops cannot be replaced/repair/etc.

Purchased an app on iphone 5. Credit card has been debited but app not getting downloaded.

I have Purchased app on my iPhone 5. My credit card has got credited but the app is not getting downloaded.. It app shows it is in waiting mode and the status bar is not getting moving . What can be the issue?This is the first time I have purchased an app from my iPhone.

Ringer not working iPhone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

My iPhone depleted fast and it cannot charge iPhone 4S

I had a story about not charging iPhone. PHcharge my iPhoneI insterday evening (Philippine Time). But it charged less than 1 second. It running out. I plug it anywhere but it not worked. I had to check the battery bar, i found that my iPhone is depleted fast. I checked the LCI but it white. I tried anything:A. Charged for at least 15 minutesB. Turn on and off the iPhone.C. Restart the iPhone.D. Plug it to the computer. But it failed. I will need to seek repair on repair shops? I don't attempt to repair this iPhone. I'm scared about this iPhone is not charging. I'm in group chat iMessage but all sudden it went to text iPhone 5

There's 5 people and it was iMessage, and then it went to text? And half the people are iMessage and half are text, but now, only 1 is test and the rest are back to iMessage. But everyone's iMessage works in other conversations and group chats. How do I get it to go back?
