My iphone 5 is stuck in recovery mode. Ive tried restoring it through itunes but it keeps failing to do so. Can you help me please. thanks

how can i change choice of control centre options iPhone

When I scroll up from bottom of screen to enter control centre, this is very usefull for accessing 'air plane mode' etc. However I would like to swap some options like bluetooth for other options not there- such as having 3g toggle. Is it possible to change available Control Centre options?

iPhone 5 restore Error 1

To Whom It May Conern, I recieved an iPhone from a friend recently (iPhone 5) with a shattered screen. It does not work anymore, and the home button is damaged beyond use as well. The phone is still recognized by iTunes and the PC's I've use it with however. I also disessembled it to confirm water damage or not. All stickers white, no water damage. I was told by the person whom gave it to me, I would need to replace the screen but could still restore it and get it ready as it was currently. I first hooked it up to a Windows 8 pc, and after some driver/software updating, the phone was recognized/drivers installed/etc., and iTunes had it as able to view Music, Photos, Apps, etc. I went to factory restore it, updated iTunes/Windows, and now it is getting an error message (1) every time I do this. I have attempted this a total of about 20 times now, on multiple computers, as well as a Mac. The last attempt was on a Mac, and I saved the error details, as written here: 2014-02-18 10:52:55.000 iTunes[2116:207]: restore library built Oct 10 2013 at 18:04:352014-02-18 10:52:55.000 iTunes[2116:207]: iTunes: iTunes 11.1.42014-02-18 10:52:55.000 iTunes[2116:207]: iTunes: Software payload version: 11B554a2014-02-18 10:52:55.000 iTunes[2116:207]: iTunes: Using MobileRestore state machine[10:53:15.0634] Successfully applied power assertion[10:53:15.0637] Changing state from 'Idle' to 'Restoring'[10:53:15.0643] amai: AMAuthInstallSsoInitialize: can't find SSOClient.framework[10:53:15.0647] requested restore behavior: Erase[10:53:15.0649] requested variant: Erase[10:53:15.1101] amai: AMAuthInstallBundleCopyBuildIdentityForVariant: No baseband chipid reported. I would like to use this phone after I get a new LCD assembly. It doesn't make sense that it would work just fine, and after updating it/restoring it, the device is rendered useless? Thank you for what you come up with, John Side note:I have upated everything, iTunes, Windows Updates, Drivers, etc. Please do not tell me what I should obviously already have done, because the "simple" steps have not worked. Thanks.

My iPhone stuck in DFU mode but it will not restore please help me iPhone 5C

What happened to my phone was I was having screen issues so i replaced it and it worked normally for about 5 minutes and then the screen went black. After the screen went black, it came back on with the "connect to itunes screen". Since then i've tried to restore it and no good has cone fron trying. Sometimes itunes will tell me that it can't be restored because of the build of the phone or itunes will give me a different error code. Itunes also will make it as far as the restore screen where itunes is saying waiting for iphone and the iphone screen is on with the white loading line under the apple but the line will not move no matter how long you give it time to load. I've tried pretty much all the techniques to reslove my issue. I've even used tiny umbrella, and redsnow to try and kick it out of recovery mode but that does is make the apple logo pop up and fade out until the screen is black and then pop up again. Can someone please help me?

iPhone 5 apple logo flashing when on charge.

My iPhone 5 randomly turned off last night and I was unable to turn it on. I then plugged it into a charger and the apple logo appeared and then went again. This flashing has been happening continuously - black screen for 5 seconds, apple logo for 10 seconds. I found that if I held the power button 3 seconds, then also held the home button at the same time for ten seconds and the released the power button and held just the home button for another 10 seconds, the flashing stops and the screen goes black. However, the flashing only occurrs when my device is plugged in to charge, if it isn't it is just a black screen, no matter what buttons I press. I looked on the internet and they all say hold the power button and home button for 6/10/12/60 seconds, which does not help. Others say I have to restore it, but I havent backed up my phone in a while and all my important photos are on there that I do not want to lose. I then downloaded the software EaseUS MobiSaver which advertises that you can back up your phone even if it doesn't turn on. This also failed to work and the software cannot pick up that my iPhone is plugged in. Also iTunes only picks up my device when its in restore mode but says I have to restore it before I can do anything further on iTunes. Is there another way to fix it without restoring? Thank you and sorry for rambling.

Now WiFi available on airlines can we have WiFi active but cellular turned off Trying to always connect to cell service from aircraft drains battery quickly iPhone 5s

I was just traveling, and the ailine was offering WiFi service. The iphone has an airplane mode which disables WiFi and cellular, which was fine in the "old days." Now with WiFi on planes I need to have WiFi on, but not cellular as it just drains the battery looking for service it can't find. I don't know how to disable cellular while keeping WiFi on. Maybe Apple could add a switch for cellular in a future update? Dave

Shut downs after restoring backup iPhone 5C

Hi all, So I just had my iPhone 5c replaced under warranty (faulty digitizer), and when trying to restore my computer backup to the new phone, it has twice had to shut down and be hard reset. The first time, a line of dim pixels came up in the display, then it shut down. it came back in safe mode after a hard reset and had to be hard restored from iTunes. Second time today it was during opening an app, it just shut down, and no response until hard reset again. I'm a little suspicious here that my backup is potentially corrupted somehow. I don't want to lose my backup, but I also don't want to be hard reseting every 2-3 days. Does this sound familiar? Did I get a defective replacement or is it the backup?

Hard reset DFU recovery mode iPhone 4S

There are alot of ways people post on the internet on how to do this, sometmes that method is successful but in alot of cases its not.. I would like to have labeled this IOS rather than a single device.. --If you took your ios in for repair, and they said the battery was bad, try this--if after trying to update your ios with the new software your device stoped working try this--if you have tried geting into recovery mode by other methods and it quits before completion try this method--for anyone else that needs to do a fresh install try this method first, all other methods may or may not work,, this one will step1: turn on the computer that you will conect to the IOS device. Make sure it has the latest itunes software, and that itunes is started.Step2: locate the wall power adapter that came with the ios device or use a wall power adapter that does not have any way to comunicate with the ios devicestep 3: plug the one end of the usb cord into the usb slot of the wall power adapter, the other end into the iphone and the wall adapter into an active power slot. The reason for this much needed step, is sometimes there is a catch or other glich that will not allow the computer to ignore the write error and thus creating a conection failure, or the glich has caused the device to think there is a problem with a fully functioning battery despite the fact the battery is fine. step 4: with the device pluged into wall power 1)press and hold the power button (sometimes called the sleep/ wake botton or the menu botton on ipod classics) 2)after about ten secounds the apple logo should appear,, once that happens while continuing to hold the power botton start to hold the home botton (the round botton with the square in it or the fingure print botton in the 5s) you should hold both of these together for aproxiametly 5-10 secounds 3) now the apple logo should have disapeared, you need to continue to hold the home botton, but release the power botton 4)shortly after that the recovery mode should start, you will see the Itunes logo, and the USB adapter ----------you have successfully entered a proper hard reset, other wise known as DFU mode, or recovery mode 5) quickly before the device quits this mode, unplug the device from wall power and plug it into the itunes enabled computerstep 5: Itunes will say,'itunes has detected a "put device name here" in recovery mode you must restore this "put device name here" before conectiong it to itunes" CLICK ON "OK"step 6: click restore ipad, a message will pop up "Are you sure you want to restore the iPad “iPad” to its factory settings? All of your media and other data will be erased, and the newest version of the iPad software will be installed." CLICK ON Restore and Updatestep 7: wait for itunes to finish

way to receive silent text notifications during Not Disturb mode iPhone

When I first started using my iPhone's Do Not Disturb feature, I realized that if whenever I was using my phone (unlocked of course) my incoming text notifications would still vibrate. So I decided to switch the Silence option to "Always" instead of "Only when iPhone is locked," but it only ended up taking away my text notifications. I've tried using Settings > Sounds > Turned off "Vibrate on Silent." but I just want to receive silent text notifications only when it is on DND mode, not all of the time. Iphone 5 stuck on Recovery mode one can help

So i was updating my iphone 5 to ios 7.1 using itunes on my computer however almost to the end of it i got an error and my phone went into recovery mode showing that my iphone needs to be connected to itunes. i already tried unplugging it and plugging it back to the computer, pressing the power and the home button to put it into dfu mode but nothing happens. My computer does not even detect that my iphone is connected to it. Can anyone help me?

How I get my non-jailbroken unlocked iphone out of restore mode without using itunes

I've spent hours searching the internet for a solution to my problem but nothing has worked and it is a pretty uncommon problem. My iphone being in recovery mode is the third in a series of problems I've had with my iphone. First of all, I'm in a third world country where the internet is very slow and I've noticed itunes will not connect to the internet unless it is fast. My iphone does this thing where it turns off even when the battery indicates over 30%-50% power. This happens more frequently when the service fluctuates or I try to take a picture or something. In January, I selected the option of encrypting my backups and backed up. Later, I deselected this option and then tried to backup but it would never complete. I couldn't sync either until I started exiting the backup process from windows tasks. Then it would skip to the sync and after show a message about itunes not being able to backup on this machine. So I haven't been able to backup in over 2 months. Recently, my iphone did its turning off trick and as I tried to turn it on holding the power button, it entered recovery mode. The best option would be to go through itunes, but as I stated above, itunes will not connect. I've run diagnostics and although it picks up the internet connection, it says itunes cannot connect safely etc. I've run tinyumbrella and dr.phone's wondershare with the same result: My iphone just restarts and goes back to the restore screen.I need a solution that doesn't require a fast internet. My iphone is 3GS 16GB and I updated the iOS once after 6.0. There was a prompt for a new version that I never updated to.

iPhone stuck in recovery mode iPhone 4S

Hey guys, need a little help here. My iPhone 4s is stuck in recovery mode and I can't seem to restore it. I plug it into iTunes and it'll tell me that my iPhone needs to be restored, I click ok, it'll say "extracting software" then "preparing iPhone for restore" then "waiting for iPhone" then "preparing iPhone software for restore" then it'll start to restore and then halfway into it it'll say "restoring iPhone firmware" then it'll give up and a message will pop up and say "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1)." What can I do? I tried restarting the computer, used different USB cables, uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, the whole shebang.

Landscape texting problems iPhone 5s--black screen

I've recently started having trouble with texting in landscape mode. When I start typing the screen will go black for a second and then come back, but then certain letters on the keyboard become unresponsive. This doesn't happen when I'm texting in portrait mode. If I shut my phone down & restart, it fixes the problem for a bit but it will start messing up again eventually. Is this happening to anyone else?

iPhone 5 won't take charge won't restore from backup

My iPhone 5 stopped taking a charge. So I updated to 7.whatever & backed it up. It still would take a charge so I went through recovery mode. That seemed to complete (I've done it twice now) However, the phone still won't take a charge and it won't restore from my backup. (Since the initial run through recovery mode it has never accepted the backup. It alway errors out saying the iPhone disconnected. It never disconnected physically and I've tried mutiple cables so which worn on my other iPhone so they are not the problem. If I plug the iPhone in it will cycle between on and off and never accept a charge or allow me to get through the backup process without "disconnecting" Any suggestions?

My Iphone 4s can't restore

So the other day, I tried to replace my Iphone 4s screen and was successful. But later that day, my Iphone shut down randomly twice. The first time, I turned it back on and it worked but the second time, it wouldn't turn on at all...and I tried EVERYTHING!!! But I eventually got it to go to the iphone connect to itunes (restore) screen and I've been trying to restore for hours but it wouldn't let me restore due to ERROR 21! I've seriously tried everything (DFU mode, redsnow, modify hosts, replace battery). Can someone help me resolve this problem please?

Enabling LTE causes No Carrier iPhone 5

This morning I woke up to my iPhone 5 having "No Carrier" in the status bar. I have had this phone since May 2013. My first guess into fixing this was turning airplane mode on and then restarting the phone. After, I toggled enable LTE off and the status bar had about 4 bars of signal strength and the carrier (AT&T) was back! I toggeled enable LTE on and the signal strengh quickly switched to 1 bar and then a few seconds later, "No Carrier." Please help. Thanks.

Crazy iPhone 4s mess up Please help

My iPhone 4s ( yes I know my phone is a bit outdated) is messing up like crazy! I just can't figure out what to do. I was just using it today then I noticed there were man problems. 1) my time and calendar just changed for no reason! I didn't just get this phone, I've had it about a year and a half. Also it's not like I'm bad with apple products, I use them everyday, all day for the most part.Next my internet isn't working correctly, but only for some apps, it will not allow me to open/view any snaps on snapchat, or even use google chrome and safari. But it's fine with Instagram and Facebook! Like, what the heck! I just need some held please! I've already turned the phone off, reset it, and tried setting it to dfu mode and just turning it back on, but no results. Is it an app? Virus? Or Is this an easy fix and I'm just having a brain ****. I really don't have the time or patience to wait a week to go to the store and return it. Just please help!!!! Open to any suggestions!!!!
