Good Afternoon, ive recently started up my own business fixing mobile phones - mostly cracked screens and chassis replacements. Just recently i thought id got a bargain on ebay regarding an iphone 4. It was described as working correctly, can make / receive calls and send texts etc but randomly locks up. Ive got the phone today, unfortunately its locked to the 3 network so ive got a micro sim on the way so I cant actually proceed further at this point. Although it did crash once on me when i tried to select language's etc - had to hold the home and power button down until it turned off. Ive read on the forums that this is a common fault, and can occur to any iphone - faulty or otherwise. And the main concensus seems to be to take it back to the store for a swap. My main question is - seeing how im likely to come across this fault again - is the fault software or hardware related? If its hardware related what circuit board is likely to be the culprit? If we could identify the problem then im sure I could just order the required part on ebay. The fact that apple havent recalled the iphone and that they will accept these faulty iphone's back and swap for new suggests to me its an easy fix - its just easier for the technicians to go in the store room and get a brand new one. Secondly ive just got another iphone 4 white - bought cheap as its totally dead. Tried a new battery and still nothing. Got a new dock / charging connector on the way - is it likely to be this at fault? Doesnt seem to be any sign of water damage, and it wasnt described as this on the ebay page. When id swapped the new battery over i tried to charge the phone ( to see if id fixed it ) and it got extremely hot - so i disconnected right away and left it to cool off. Whats likely to be the issue with that one? Thanks, and hope someone can help Adam
Greetings, My i4 developed yet another problem in the series (previous issues concerned home button, power button and camera module)... Two nights ago, I had the phone plugged in the PC, in order to make backup, syncronize with iTunes, change music etc etc... It took around an hour, maybe hour and a half, and I was surprised to see that the battery (which was not even close to flat) reached only about 70%. Shortly after I unplugged the phone, the battery dropped to 50%. That night I forgot to plug it in again, and I spent the whole day yesterday saving the battery. Later that day, I got home and plugged it in immediately. 2 hours later, the battery was still on 14%. I left it "charging" for the whole night, just to find out that this morning, it was still on 14%. While checking emails and stuff, the indicator "jumped" to 16%, but then dropped to 10%. Now it shows 3% eventhough it's still connected to the computer. There is a battery indicator on the lock screen, which means that it doesn't refuse the charger, but somehow the battery refuses to be charged. The indicator in the upper right corner shows "plug in" symbol, as if it has been charged, not a "thunder" as if it's still charging. I tried cleaning both the dock connector and the cable, I tried different cables, I tried charging from the wall socket and from various PCs, but nothing seems to work. Everything else seems fine though. Battery dead and needs replacing, or is it something more "fruttier"? Thank you!
When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone. I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula
I can hear someone when I'm talking on the phone and if someone texts me while I'm talking on the phone I can hear it. Otherwise, my phone makes no sound unless earplugs are in. No ringer, no alarm, any video or audio....all silent. Even Siri is quiet!
Does anyone have audio fail problem on their iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4)? This happeded twice on my iPhone. First time was when I was using my phone as usual and it just suddently truned into mute by itself. The other one was when the alarm was ringing but no sound just vibration. I'm sure that I did not turn into silent mode. Except the sound, it still functions well. System just poped up a message asking me to reboot my device. It recovered after restart, but I still want to know how to deal with this problem.
Hey there, my iPhone 4 won't connect or charge while its connected to my computer..it won't come up that its charging or anything. But when I plug it into my dock or a wall charger,it works and chargers just fine. I need to connectmy phone to my iTunes so I can update more music..Someone please help me!Thanks
Hi. Last Saturday morning I lost my phone and immediately went onto iCloud and entered the phone into Lost Mode, sent the message and Played Sound. Spent all that day reporting the loss to the police, insurance and Vodafone and generally panicking. Went to bed that night, put hand under pillow and guess what, found my darling phone!!! What a relief!! Cancelled Lost Mode on iCloud and restored passwords, Vodafone etc. HOWEVER, at various times (and obviously I never get any warning), the lost alarm still sounds and in public, people must think I have stolen my own phone!!! I have tried different ways to stop the alarm happening again eg setting Lost Mode over again and then cancelling it again but the alarm still goes off. All I have to do is press the on/off button to stop it sounding but the fact that it goes off in the first place is the problem. It should be cancelled! Why does the alarm still go off? Can anyone help please? Many thanks Susan
My iPhone 4 allways gives the same error while connecting to the universal dock or the AV-cable (composite video):"iOS device does not work with or does not support this product"Though both being original apple products, there seems to be no way to connect the iPhone to a music set or TV...iOS is latest version.Anybody having a good idea??? THANKS...

How do I get iPhone 5 to work with my old Bose sound dock? I bought an adapter and all it does it charge the phone.
Spyware is very easily accessible and requires nothing from the Apple store, and although I realize some of these posts are several years old-at this point, it is simply misinformation. All one needs is a similar program to the one in the link above and not only can your sms messages be accessed, your calls be intercepted and recorded, but the camera in your phone can be remotely accessed and activated at any given time without your knowledge. As you tap away on your handy little iPhone you love so much, in whatever possibly "compromising" or embarrassing position you may be in at the time, a creeper can be looking you straight in your face or observing your enviornement at their leisure. Imagine the horror in finding out that you were sitting there on the toilet gaming and someone was watching you the whole time or better yet, while you were involved in an intimate interaction while your phone sat charging on a dock on the nightstand next to the bed? How about knowing that every incoming and outgoing communication is recorded and documented for the creep to scroll and read through like a book? This is some scary stuff, and it's been used on me via an encrypted picture message. I've done a full restore of my iPhone and the pc used for backing up via iTunes to ensure that the spyware wasn't then rooted into the pc or the iTunes, and was even told to create an etirely new Apple ID, but aside from this and there being no true scanning software for malware, spyware or viruses for the iPhone-how can I be sure that this encrypted software has truly been eradicated? Is there an antiviral program that I am unware of? I'm not looking for a secure AVG browser, I'm looking for a detect and destroy scanner program. <Link Edited by Host>
Okay so my sister recently upgraded to an iPhone 5 because her iPhone 4s got a bit wet and it broke the camera. She gave me the 4s but it turns out it has quite a few irritating problems:The camera flash is always on. I tried a few software fixes that had worked for other people but no joy.The camera itself doesnt work. The shutter in the app doesnt open. The dock connector needs to be put at an angle for it to charge or sync and a slight movement can cause it to disconnect. The glass on the back is a bit cracked. The speakers don't work and it looks as if it is connected to a docking station in the music app when there are no headphones connected. She had this phone for over a year so there is no warranty but I have no problem with fixing/replacing some hardware myself. Would somebody be able to help me or point me in the direction for help with these probelms? any help or tips are greatly appreciated.
About three days ago my iPhone decided to display the incorrect time at first it was an easy fixjust correct it using the clock app-thingy, then it got worse, so I shut it down that worked and hasstayed that way and me and my iPhone became friends again.... UNTILI got home to charge it, I put it on the charger and it didn't take. I hooked it up to my original charger - nothingthe computer - nothinga friends charger - nothingbought a different offical charger - nothingshook it - nothingrestarted it - nothinglet the battery drain til it's dead and restarted it - nothingpunched it in the face - hospital visitbought it flowers and choclates - nothingwhispered sweet nothings into it's earpiece - nothingtook it back to where I bought it - nothing, was told to restart it by shutting it down for 10 mins then turning it back on - NOTHING. Frustrated, I go back to my friends house and attempted it one more time at her request, guest what - it worked, same charger as before but it worked. UNTILI get home and hooked it back up to my charger, my original charger, my computer - and got nothing ALL OVER AGAIN... Nothing seems to work with this thing, what's going on??
hi guys... i have an iphone 4 running ios 5.01 i believe.. about 3 weeks ago, suddenly it just died for no reason. i didn't drop it or anything.. i pressed and hold the home and spring board buttons, but nothing happened. the phone would only turn on if it is being charged. even then, it is not functioning at all.. it says no service on the top left, the wifi is greyed out.. most of the apps wont work. when i selected any of the apps, they flashed briefly then go back to main menu. and the phone dies again as soon as i unplugged the it from the charger. the battery says a 100% while being plugged. there is an alarm icon on top of the main menu.. last night, all of a sudden, the phone just started to function again while being docked to the charger... after being unplugged for about a week or so. and everything just works... but this morning after i have been using it for a few hours since last night, it died again... so it looks like there is a loose connection inside the phone or there is a chipset or something thats beginning to fail inside phone.. just wondering if anyone has experience this kind of issue with their iphone 4.. its very irritating.. i never drop the phone, never got in the water.
My iPhone 4s will no longer charge while the phone is still on. I have to plug in the cord then turn the phone off. If I turn the phone off then plug the cord in it turns the phone on. I can still play music thru my clock radio but it just doesn't charge while on. And idea why?
Hi, I am new to the forum so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong location. I recently had the dock connector repaired on my iphone 4 and since getting the phone back the home button on the phone does not work at all. As well as this I am unable to get any sort of signal with the No Service message present at the top left of the screen. This occasionally scrolls to searching presumably looking for a signal but then returns to no service. I have tried the sim card in other handsets and it still works fine so I am at a loss as to why I am having these issues. I have also tried multiple restores and resets of the iphone to no avail. Any tips on the matter would be greatly appreciated Thanks
If you are lucky it is just the battery but it may also have damage to the dock connector and the logic board.
Hi everyone, Today I tried to use my TuneIn radio app. It wouldn't connect so I thought I'd delete and reinstall as I'd been experiencing buffering issues as well in the last few days. I deleted the app and went into the App Store to redownload it. The App Store won't load. It just has the loading message and the little loading symbol. I went on various forums, I've done a hard reset, turned phone off and on again, closed the app down on the open apps dock on the phone, I've reset my network connections etc. Also, I'm on the latest version of the iOS software 6.1.3. The last thing I tried was to sign my Apple ID out of the iTunes and App Stores and attempt to sign in again... Now I can't sign in using my Apple ID. It says that it can't connect to the iTunes store. FFS! Has anyone had this problem before? I frequently have issues where the update screen on the App Store either takes forever to load or doesn't but this is the whole app and everything Apple related not working. Thanks for your replies
HiSent my IPhone 4S into service centre as it was not charging the battery anymore. They have told me that there is physical damage to the dock connector and that i have to pay a "Fee".I spent a long time on the phone with them explaining that this is rubbish, the phone is always in a full case and i've always used the original sync cable, never rammed it in, never even found it tight or anything, etc etc. There is no way that the dock has been damaged so i suggested that something may have failed in the connector itself and then when i have plugged the sync cable in it has caused the issue? They totally dismissed this and told me to make the choice - pay the fee or have a dead iphone back.I am not prepared to accept this, my iphone gets treated like the crown jewels and no way has it been subject to damage - i want to know if i received it back and took into a genius bar to explain would there be a chance they would repair or replace (The phone is still in the 1yr warranty)Any advice or assistance would really be appreciated - my long standing faith in APple is dimishing very fast!
Hi! I fell into a pond yesterday at around 10am with my iphone 5 in my shorts. I was in the water for about 3 seconds, got back up and turned off my phone. I wiped dry and let it air dry for about an hour. When i got home at night, 1030pm, i checked the forums, and found the keep it in rice fix. So, i took out the sim and placed it in a ziplock bag with rice. Then I found a link in apple support on how to check the wet indicator of my iphone. Checked it, and it was still white. How long do I have to keep it in rice? I have a 730am alarm set for every morning, but it did not go off this morning. Was that normal? I have my fingers and toes crossed while i am typing this. Hope everything will be fine.
When placing my iPhone on my docking station it will begin to charge, but when I press play the music will come out of the iPhone instead of the docking station. Has anyone else had this problem before? Thanks.
My iphone 4s is stuck on dock connector mode, and I have never used a dock connector accesory. I have cleaned out the port and occasionally the phone will be on iphone mode like it should be but it always resorts back to dock connector. I have restarted the phone numerous times, put it on airplane mode for awhile, an nothing works. The phone rings like normal but I cannot listen to music, and when I turn it on or off it doesn't make the clicking noise, has anyone had this happen or know what the solution is? Look at the picture below. When I took this picture the phone was plugged into the charger but even if its not charging it still says dock connector HELP
Hi guys, I upgraded to iP5, from iP4, on the day it came out. Since I had it, it's been resetting itself - I've explored every avenue I can think of and now I'm on the verge!! This is the chain of events: Sep 12: upgraded to iP5 On the first night, turned itself off to the extent I had to hard restart. A number of subsequent shutdown/hard restarts followed (including one which meant my alarm didn't go off and I was late for work!). Trip to Apple store. New phone. Next day: new iP5 turns itself off, but instead of staying off, it immediately turned back on. An improvement, but not ideal. Numerous more random reboots. Further trip to Apple Store: suggestion is restore from back up. Back up restore only seems to make the issue worse. Apple Store advice: connect to iTunes, restore from back up. No improvement. Apple Store advice: set up as new phone. No improvement. Today, my phone has reset itself 4 times while I've been using it. Some while I've been using (different) Apps, once when it was tracking my run on Nike Plus. Everytime new software has come out, it's been updated immediately. As it is, it's almost unusable, certainly not reliable. I can't get an appointment at my nearest Apple Store now for another six days, and I can't have my phone in this state for a week! Can anyone help? Anything at all??!! Thanks in advance, Rick
iPhone 5 speakers stopped working after the 6.1.x updates.Currently running v6.1.3 (10B329). I use my phone as an alarm clock and also rely on the phone speaker.I've read a lot of other reports with people having the same issue.Apparently it is *not* a hardware issue.Any help would be appreciated!
The cable and charger sign is flashing red please help, i've connected it to the computer, and the wall dock, whatever you call it, but it still won't work, i've held down the sleep and wake button down, but nothing seems to work please help!
My iPhone 4S appears to be stuck in "dock connector" mode. The volume control buttons on the side of the phone are not working so my phone will not ring & I receive no alerts. "Bluetooth" & "dock connector" are the only outputs available when playing music. "Speaker" is not an option. Thank you for any assistance you can give me. BTW...the "mute" is NOT enabled.**this has been an ongoing issue for me but happened again after the latest update (3.23.13). Ordinarily I can clean the pin connector on the phone & it fixes the issue. It is not working this time.
Help me figure this out please.
Hi all, A few weeks ago i put my iphone 5 in the washing machine for about 30 seconds. I got it out ASAP but it was still noticably wet. I quickly padded it down and put it in a bag of rice for several days (luckily it was already out of battery when it went in). After i had left it to dry out i plugged it in only to find the lightining cabel symbol comes up and it will not charge. So what i have done so far; Changed battery- new battery still will not charge. However, when i did put a new battery in that held some charge the phone did turn on and everything was working fine.Tried new lightning cableChanged dock connector- still would not chargeRemoved battery and cleaned entire phone with 99% isopropyl, dried and phone still would not charge. I'm pretty lost here??? If everything was working fine when i put the new battery in apart from being able to charge i asssumed it must be the dock connector but apparently not. I have heard it might be something to do with the USB/Power IC on the motherboard?? But im not sure if these can be replaced. I would just like to try everything myself before taking to apple as i know they will charge me a small fortune for out of warrenty repair.
Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari. Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text. Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result. Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem. Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset. I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?
I have no sound except for my ringtone, alarm, and sometimes the unlocking noise. No text alerts, email alerts, media noise, Pandora noise, iTunes noise, anything. First on my own I restored it to factory settings, cleaned the dock and head jack, did the head phone trick in and out, and I have checked for water damage. I have searched the threads and Google for solutions but none have worked. I talked to Apple today and they made me restore it again and it still doesn't work. ^Usually theres a volume bar on videos, none here. ^Theres no thing to slide the sound back and forth here. ^Also no sound bar here.
I have the apple universal dock with the remote which works via IR. I was hoping there could be a similar, smaller adapter to connect to the iPhone with an IR receiver allowing control of media. I ask because I wish to use it in the car where I have the iPhone connected to a Bluetooth receiver but I don't have a convenient place for the dock and phone to sit. Any ideas if there is such hardware out there? Thanks
When I play music or listen to my ringtones, instead of the sound coming out of my loud speaker, it is coming out of the port. Shen I cover the port the sound diminishes to a crackly muffled sound. When I cover the speaker itself, it remains loud.
Hi experts, need some help. I've had my iP4 for 2 years now, mostly trouble free. Recently my sounds have "mostly" stopped working and I just can't figure out why. I've done a lot of troubleshooting so here is what the symptoms are: - Volume up/down buttons do not work, nothing happens when pressed- Silent switch does not work, nothing happens when switched- Lock sound does not happen- Phone does not ring (only vibrates)- Phone does not alert or chime - Some apps audio does not work, but most apps play audio fine (youtube, music, videos, most games, etc)- When selecting ring-tone or alert sounds I can hear the sound, so the speaker is working fine Here is what I've tried- check all settings and switches, certainly not a setting issue- cleaned the dock connector with a brush, it is very clean- cleaned headphone jack, and insert/remove headphones multiple times- wiped all settings and restored to factory settings- updated to latest ios6 firmware- deleted "com.apple.iapd.plist" file using iexplorer, did nothing Seems like I'm just about out of options now! Thanks for any help.
Since updated my IPhone 4 (8GB) to OS 6.1.2. it will not be loaded in the Belkin TuneSync dock. Also using a Dension Gateway in my car; since update the phone will not be loaded. Before the update the phone loaded in both devices. Are there some software bugs still in OS?
i have updated my iphone 4S to iOS 6.1.1 update but noticed no sound is coming out from the external speaker after the update (ringer / music / sounds). Tried toggling mute buttons, clean dock connector, plug/unplug headset but no luck. Yesterday, I have updated to latest update IOS 6.1.2 but still no luck. Did hard reset / restore.... restore and another series of hard resets but still no luck. It seems like its a software problem since I never had this issue prior to updating my iphone. Appreciate advice/suggestion. Thanks
Anyone else having these problems? Since the release of ios 6 I have had problems with the sound cutting out randomly for several minutes, or as long as 2 days. I really don't think this is a hardware issue because I do not use a dock and I can tell the speaker still works because it will play my ringtones but I am unable to hear keyboard clicks, txt's, and music, sound in apps, ect. And the sound slider completely dissapears In all apps except for the "sounds" tab in settings. I know my volume buttons work because you can see that in the sound tab as well. I have tried backing up to an earlier point in time as well as completely restoring as a new phone and neither methods have worked. I have also cleaned my dock connector repeatedly. It will work for about a second, just long enough to hear the unlock click, after restarting the phone, the. Goes away again. Which brings me to my next point. My phone will not turn off unless it is plugged in. If it isn't plugged in and I try to turn it on. The screen goes black for a couple seconds and then It turns back on. Now I don't want to just automatically assume that is a software glitch by apple but I don't know what else it is. If it is a software glitch apple needs to figure this crap out because I know I'm not the only one having this problem, and if it is in fact a hardware issue tell me how to fix it. I am not able to take it in to apple store because the nearest one is 3 hours away. Thanks apple and I hope we can fix this because I don't know how much longer I can handle not having sound for my alarm clock before I switch to android.
I have the iPhone 5 and I keep getting a pop-up when I change my alarm times. It keeps asking me if I want to download over cellular network. I do use songs from my library, but I don't understand why I need to download or what exactly I'm downloading.
I have an iPhone 4, and it's having a charging problem. Whenever I plug it in, it starts charging, but after a bit of time it switches to "Charging is not supported with this accessory". However, after numerous times of unplugging and plugging it in, it eventually stays on charge (this is usually when I decide to leave it on, and not take it off in case it stops working!). Some things I need to mention before you say anything: - I have tried blowing into the port, and it is clean. - I recently got a charging dock (this problem did not arise until about a week of using this) - I used my phone to FaceTime somebody in the bathroom whilst having a bath, and a bit of water (literally a minuscle raindrop) splashed onto the phone. This problem arised on the very night of this event! So I suspect water damage, but I would rather look into this more before trying anything costly!
I had my iPhone 4 serviced last December, before my applecare expires. After I took the "new" iPhone back home, I saw lots of dirty watermarks on the screen of it, and no matter what method I used, I couldn't clean it. So I went back, after another day waiting, I picked up the second one. After about a week, the speak on this one stop working sometimes. But if I shake it hard enough it will be good. I mean I know it is a hardware malfunction not a software set up problem. Last week it was the Chinese new year, I missed a lot of phone calls, important messages and no need to say alarm clock. Now I have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow(Beijing time,GMT+8), it takes me about 3 hours to get there and back, about 2 hours to get my backup and apps back to the new phone. I hope you understand how many hours of my time have been wasted. So, what if the next one still a "bad" one. I was in Australia in the last four years, and I went to the Apple Store in Robina and Chermside to service my other iPhone and Macs, I never had any kind of problems. I'm very very disappointed with the Apple Store in Xidan Joy City(Beijing).
I've got an iPhone 4 and it will not charge or sync at all. I first thought it was the cable, but I have tried 5 different cables and two external batteries - all with the same result. Also, these cables work on my roommates' iPhones and my iPod. I tried to clean the dock connector on the phone with a compressed shot of air but it doesn't seem to have helped. Every once and a while, it'll pick up the cable and charge for a split second. It's now to the point where it is almost dead (2%) and I cannot charge it. The weird thing is that it seems to pick up one of the cables (most of the time). The red battery icon with the lightning bolt will show up, but then the red flashed three times and goes black - meaning it's not charging. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it does the same thing. I've also done that on the other end - unplugged the USB side and plugged it back in - the battery icon shows up and flashes again. Any suggestions? Thanks!
can't use my iphone with my bose dock with a 30 pin adapter
This is a minor issue that'll probably end up in the hands of some apple tech, but I'm curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this. After updating my phone to 6.1.1, I noticed that occasionally I did not hear anything when playing music through earphones. An attmept to adjust the volume simply displayed the "ringer" icon and no volume meter. When I launch a new song from stopped (not paused), there was no sound or any ability to control it. I unplugged the earphones; the play icon remained, it normally disappears indicating a pause. Plugged back in and music started coming through. Text/Ring tones are still audible; good because I use it as an alarm clock. The phone is behaving as though it were "docked" though the music playback thing is just weird. I haven't tried playing music while it is actually docked yet. Will try a restore tonight after work.
No alarms are set in the clock app, but an alarm goes off each morning. Anyone had this problem? How can I resolve this issue?
I woke up this morning via my alarm settings on my iPhone 5. Came back to the phone about 45 minutes later and noticed there was no sound for the lockpad, calls, alarms, notifications, ringtones, music, other apps, etc. I followed some of the of the steps I've found through through the community: - Confirmed silent button wasn't turned on- Confirmed both ringtone/sound volumes were turned up- Turned off bluetooth- Forced Reboot- Regular Shutdown/Restart- Reset All Settings (Without Content)- Disable/Enable Change with Buttons- Disabled/Enabled Vibrate on Ring/Silent When attempting to change a ringtone with "vibrate on ring" and silent button turned off the vibrate kicks in however no tone. I've seen this in the past with my 4S and it only took a forced reboot to clear it. Anyone else experiencing this issue as of 2013? I heavily rely on sounds for alarms, notifications, etc (as I'm sure everyone else does) so any word of advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
When using my alarm clock with the new song feature, I am getting a notification that says "Download over cellular? Additional fees may apply when downloading songs over cellular." Options are Cancel or Download. The songs I have chosen are already on my iPhone so there should be 0 reason to have to download anything. Please advise. Thank you, Andrew
So I charged my phone up to 100%, set my alarm and locked it and put it under my pillow. The next morning I woke up and found my phone to have less than 80% battery. Can somebody help me please. It's happened on multiple occasions.
I went to set my alarm, and when I clicked save a pop up appeared which said "Download over cellular? Additional fees may apply when downloading over cellular" and it gave me two options: cancel or download. Does this have anything to do with the fact that my alarm tune is a song from my iPhone music library...? Very strange.
2 nights ago, I accidentally dropped my iphone 4s into about 3 inches of alcohol, I immediatly turned my phone off and dried it off. After I dried it off I made the mistake of turning it back on 5 minutes later and noticed my phones speaker was not working. My speaker for my allarm and ringer worked, But my music and the speaker for calls was completely silent. I noticed my screen started flashing so I turned my phone back off. An hour after the incident occured, I went home and put it in a ziploc bag full of rice and went to sleep. Somehow within the time I was asleep my phone turned on itself and the alarm of my phone woke me up, I was confused and turned my phone back off and noticed the led light on my camera was on (it was not very bright, but it was slightly noticeable). Before I turned it off, I noticed my screen was turning purple and flashing. For the rest of the day i left it in the rice and my phone's light was on. Around 6pm I turned my phone on to see the progress, due to the screen remaining black I thought it had died. However moments later I heard my phone go off. I used another phone to call mine and it rang but the screen was black still. i slid the screen where I would normally pick up the phone and my speakers worked.. So now my speaker works and my phone is fine but my screen is completly black. I also noticed my music and siri still worked. I turned my phone back off and left it in rice, I have not touched my phon since then. My phone remains in rice and I have no idea what to do...Should I charge it soon? SHould I bring it in to the apple store? Is this something that can be repaired... SHould I begin looking for a new phone? Thanks in advanced!
I first noticed the problem when my alarm only vibrated, and did not make noise. I have found it will not make any noise at all. I have the switch flipped to sound, and the volume all the way up. it will not make sounds through the head phones either. if i turn the sound all the way up I can hear a little bit of static sound through the head phones when it says it is playing music, but that is all, no actual music. any ideas?
I use my iPhone 5 in this way: about 40 minutes talk time, alarm clock, texting fewer than 10 a day, checking weather, downloading a couple of songs per week, and browsing iTunes once weekly. Listen to iPod music about 20 minutes a day.I charge the phone to 100% every other day, but it loses battery power very quickly, even when just sitting. Location and Bluetooth are off, as is push notification. Is this just a flaw in the phone?
