I bought an iphone 4 32g used....It is stuck in a "reeboot loop".It will stay stuck on the apple logo... I will then put it in DFU mode or recovery mode and restore it.The restore will complete and finish , then it will put itself back to the apple logo without me even seeing the lockscreen. If anyone could help me or knows how to fix this please reply thanks.

AT T iphone 5 gets stuck on EDGE network

When my AT&T iphone 5 goes to a low signal zone, or an EDGE zone, such as a friends basement, my girlfriends house, or an elevator, it switches to EDGE, but when I go to a good signal area, it stays on EDGE for a while (at least an hour), or until I shut off the antennas using airplane mode or restarting the phone. Sometimes it also affects Wi-Fi, and when the phone connects to Wi-Fi it gets no data on some apps, until I reset the connection using airplane mode. I want to know once and for all if this is a known hardware or software issue, if I should try to get the phone replaced (which I've had since October), or I should just deal with it as a new phone will not help. I've tried reinstalling iOS, resetting network connections, and DFU restore.

So my iphone 4s has been having problems with the no service error now and again so I decided to reset the network settings to try and fix it. Now since this reset,my iphone refuses to connect to wifi even though the password I'm entering is 100% correct!  I keep getting the 'Incorrect password error'. I've resetted the router and reset the wifi network, rebooted my phone,performed a hard reset but there is still no fix  I have many other devices connected to my wifi without any problems. 3 computers, an ipad, android tablet and other iphone. My phone is jailbroken on 6.1.2 so I don't want to have to restore my phone. My phone will connect to wifi with wifiFoFum but as soon as my phone goes to sleep it disconnects so its rather annoying! I hope you can help

Hello!In anticipation of upgrading from my 4S at some point, and unhappy with many visual elements of iOS7 (as it appears now), I'm wondering if it's possible to install iOS5 or iOS6 on an iphone 5.  I'm currently running iOS5.1.1 (and am very happy with it, thank you very much). Is the OS backed up along with the phone's content, allowing a transfer/restore of both the content and the iOS?  Or are older iOS's available in some other way?Thanks,David

no wifi icon but am online iphone 5

my iphone 5 starting acting up lately.  i am online but there is no wifi icon on top.  when i checked the speed of my router, macbkpro will register 3mbps., ipad2 will register 2.3mbps and my iphone 5 will have a measly .35mbps. taking into consideration that my ipad 2 has the wifi issues because of ios6 which was much discussed here in the forum.  i have mentioned before that before ios6, my ipad has better signal than my iphone. but after ios 6, iphone5 showed better signal with the same set of circumstances of the router.   3g signal is very good but there is frequent failure or delay in sending text messages and frequent dropped or choppy signal of  phone calls.what is wrong with my phone. should i have it exchanged?

HelloMy son has typed in my passcode wrong on my iphone 5 and it says 'iphone disabled please connect to iTunes'I had rung O2, and they said that the only thing they can do is do a restore on the phone but then everything will be deletedI'm not bothered about the apps getting deleted, it's the photos and videos I am most worried about because they are of my 4 month old daughter since birth and these are the only photos that I have of her. I have only sent around 20 photos to family and friends so if I lose all these photos on my phone then I will only have 20. There are over 2000 pictures of her on my phone so I really really need to get them back I don't have iTunes, I have never downloaded it or anything. I have always taken my pictures off just by plugging my phone into the computer, going to My Computer and copy and pasting them like that but I have not done this in 2 months and there are so many photos and videos that will be lost.I downloaded iTunes, logged in using my email and password but every time I connect my phone it keeps saying for me to put my password in on the phone but the numbers aren't on the phone screen.Is there any way I can get my photos back?Can Apple get them back for me?Please help  

Really hot iphone iphone 5

I just bought an iphone 5 this past Friday for my first smartphone with Verizon, and I have been pretty happy with it so far, though I haven't been using it too heavily. Today, I had it with me all day long, and it seemed like the more I used it, it got pretty hot. Even hot to the point where I couldn't hold it in my hand in an air conditioned room. When this started to happen, I noticed a small spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen that turned yellow, almost like a sunspot. Seeing that, I turned it off for a bit, then turned it back on, and it was still there. I then didn't touch it for awhile, let it cool down, and when it did, the spot disappeared.  So I brought it back to vErizon where i brought it, and by that time it colled off and the spot gone, so they couldn't help me, but they did say to bring it to the Apple store and they can plug it in to see how hot it has been in the past. Is there any way that I can look at this myself rather than driving the distance to go to one, because there's not one incredibly close to me. Also, has anyone heard about this spot before?  I'm worried about the heat output of these thigns because when my Otterbox comes in the mail, i'm worried about that heating up then shutting itself down, because my ipod does that from time to time in it's Defender. Thoughts? Thanks

iphone 4S restore error codes 2006 and 2001. what these actually mean

My son's phone suddenly stopped working. We connected it to the Imac using the USB cable and it came up with a restore procedure suggestion to resolved the issue. We downloaded the latest version of ITunes and then we followed the restore process. I then see a pop up error message: The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2001).  So I disconnected from the IMac reconnected and re-ran the restore procedure. This time we got the same message but with a 2006 error code.  The phone is less than a year old (bought for Christmas). It has been taken care of with no scratches, bangs or drops. What is happening and what do I need to resolve? Is it something that can be fixed?should it cost me (is this under warranty) to resolve / repair? Hopefully someone can help. Thanks Paul

My friend is on a class trip to Germany. He has been texting me on his ipod, through wifi, with a texting app called text free. I have an iphone with unlimited texting. We have not been texting through iMessage, just SMS, but he is sending them from his ipod. Will I be charged gobs of money for "international texting" or is it part of my data plan since he is using wifi? HELP!

Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iphone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to iTunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iphone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. Whenever I try to sync my iphone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of this iphone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iphone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled iTunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? Hi, so last week my phone suddenly turnt off. An hour later I could turn it back on, but then the next day the exact same problem and I couldn't turn it on. About 20 hours later and 5 programs I had fixed it. Then now, its 'died' on me again.  Firstly, I have 100% battery. Connecting to my docking system turns it on but brings up the set up page (connect to iTunes on first use) It isn't recognised when plugged into the wall, I've used threee different wires and different wall adapters. iTunes can't restore it as half way through my phone cuts out and then iTunes can't find it. I don't touch my phone whilst connected so it's an internal issue there.  I have tried other progams and they don't recognise my iphone either.  Could it be the battery? Should I replace it? Or could it just be loose? It's 2 years old, so yeah I need a new phone. But I currently can't afford to replace it, so I need as much help into getting this one working for now! Ha Ha Also, it's the iphone 4 and it isn't water damaged.

sharing Apple ID iphone 3G

I started with one iphone. Then an ipod was added. Then another ipod. And now 2 more iPhones. The phones are all under an A T & T family plan. When setting them up I used the same Apple ID so we would all be able to get the same apps. I'm not sure if this is correct. It is causing problems because any apps that are added to one device it automatically goes to all the other devices. And calendar events are popping up on other devices. Also whenever a device is plugged in to the computer to charge or update, they all say katie's phone which is the original device. How do I get iTunes to recognize each individual device? Any help would be appreciated.

4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iphone 4

Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iphone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all.  So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iphone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?

iphone 5 wifi drops every time I stream BT Home Hub router

Ok this is the second iphone 5  I've had and I'm having the same issue as the one I've just replaced, the phone is dropping the wifi connection whenever anything is streaming, i.e. YouTube, NetFllix, Podcsts etc... Apple support said it may be my router but every other device in the house is fine, iPad 2, ipod Touch my wifes iphone 4 and my Macbook. My question is could it be an incopatability issue with my BT Home  Hub 2 router and iphone 5? I've tried all of the troubleshooting suggested by apple support but the issue continues. I've also tried other possibilities from this and other forums and nothing seems to fix the issue. I'm opening a new thread because of the significance of the router which I think my be the problem but have no idea to be honest. I wished I'd kept my old iphone 4 it was solid and the battery life on this new phone is just shocking! Any help or ideas would be appreciated cheers

Hi, I recently restored and updated my iphone, as soon as i did this the battery started draining very quickly. I'd charge it up to 100% then in like 1 or 2 hrs it goes back down to 10%. Its still fairly new under the contract, so this shouldn't be happening, is there any way i can fix this?

I tried to update my iPhones IOS and when I did, it said that I needed to restore my iphone, so I did, or I tried. When I went to restore it, it worked for a little while, then stopped and pulled up a error that says "there was a problem downloading the software for the iphone, " iphone " . An unknown network error occurred (9006). I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem, to find no solution. vodafone issues iphone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Help with my iphone 5.

So today I want to restore my iphone 5 to 6.0. I have tried to do so by getting the firmware of the correct form, (my make of my phone, model number, etc) and for some reason it won't restore. I've tried 2 different ones, 6.0 and 6.1 and to no avail. On iTunes it keeps coming up with 'Error 3194' I have researched into this and I have done as instructed on the official Apple error code help page, but still, it doesn't work, can anyone help? I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iphone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results.
