Windows vista and 4gs iphone USB incompatibility iphone 4S

Can anything be done to make my 4gs iphone USB cable work in my Windows vista laptop USB ports? All four ports do not recognize or charge the phone. itunes has been downloaded in the computer. I have another netbook with Windows 8, it works perfectly as inernet router. The cable is not faulty. Thanks

My iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode loop after trying to update to iOS 6.X

Tried to update to iOS 6.0.1 or 6.1 (dont remember, it was the last one), I got an error and now my iphone is stuck in recovery mode! Tried everything, RecBoot (nothing happens), TinyUmbrella ( nothing happens, i even tried fix recovery with the iphone in DFU and it didnt work), irecovery ( Permission Denied on Terminal). If i Try to restore in iTunes, says that my iphone is not eligible! Dont know what else to try!! Can someone help me? I have an iphone 4s, i think it was on the latest 5.X iOS before all of this.

iphone 5 recognized as camera not showing up on iTunes.

I have had the same problem with my iphone 3GS and my 2nd gen iPod touch. I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 (32-bit) and Windows vista. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and its components a number of times. I followed every single step in the Apple support forum for this topic- restarting/repairing the driver, making sure Apple Mobile Device Support is set to automatic, try to manually locate the driver and it says "the best software for your device is already installed". So frustrated as I paid $100 for Apple Care Plus and when contacting apple I was essentially told there was not a lot they could do since I live no where near an Apple store. I believe the problem is with the Apple Mobile Device driver but for some reason it won't update. Help! (Oh, and I've tried on other computers, same problem)

Cannot update to IOS 6 on iphone 4G iphone 4S

I have been trying to update to IOS 6 for a couple of days and I am getting timed out errors. I have tried on the phone itself and it times out. I have tried on iTunes and it times out. Error on phone says "Software Update Failed. An error occurred downloading IOS 6." On iTunes it is saying it is going to take 292 hours to download. I called apple tech support, their advice was to make sure iTunes was up to date (it is) and to change power on to computer to full power (i did) and to turn off sleep mode (I did). I am running Windows vista. I don't know what else to do. Everyone else seems to not being having issues, according to Verizon and Apple. Any suggestions are welcome.

iphone 4-Video Playback Problems on itunes quicktime-pc

The iphone 4 hd videos shot on the phone are brilliant even watching them back on the phone itself. however when i import them to my computer - then use itunes / quicktime to watch the file then the video jumps out of sync with the sound. i have a whole set of great wedding videos now to show people but can only watch them on the phone due to this issue. i have a decent HP vista laptop with all itunes, quicktime, os4, bang up to date.have searched this issue and people say imovie is the answer but i dont have a mac and i kinda would expect for this to be alright on itunes/quicktime..help please!!!

Deleted my backup iphone 4

Hello everyone,  today I wanted to renew my iphone version (to 5.1.1.). After the process finished itunes asked me to use my old backup. Because I was in a hurry, I clicked no and said that I want to delete my backup. I thought, that this wouldn't influence my contacs etc... Is there any chance to find the deleted backup? iphone not seen in iTunes iphone 4S

I was having issues with my iphone 4s and backed up my phone using itunes before heading to Apple, they replaced my iphone 4s with a new one. However when I connected the new iphone to my iTunes I just can't see the iphone! When iphone connected to laptop a windows iphone window pops up but iphone not seen on far left hand side in iTunes to enable me to download my music. iphone has iOS 5.1.1, iTunes is latest version, attempted re-booting iphone and laptop (HP laptop running on windows vista) have gone through the online troubleshooting but can't figure it out. Appreciate any assistance to get iphone to be seen in iTunes. Thanks

iphone 4 jumpy video playback on vista laptop

I have seen suprisingly few discussions about this issue however no answers or fixes seem to be suggested in the ones I have seen. So, I record a video on my iphone 4, play it back on the iphone and it plays with no problems. If I copy the video onto my Windows vista laptop, regardless of which way the phone was tilted at time of capture, the playback is jumpy, I mean every second it skips forward as if it is missing a frame.  This problem happens on VLC player, QuickTime player, windows media player and Real player. What can I do to fix this?

Cannot install Apple Mobile Device USB Driver iphone

When I open iTunes my iphone 4S will not show up as a device. I have tried the advice provided by Apple. I have gone through the iphone Troubleshooting Assistant. That gave no solutions. I have tried the other solutions offered by Apple. I think that I have possibly identified the problem. As far as I know the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not installed on my computer. I have tried to install it but when I do I receive an error message. I repeat the entire error message in the following paragraph. The message appears in a dialogue box with the name: "Update Driver Software - iphone". "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. Access is denied. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software." I cannot find a solution to this problem on Apple's website. How can I get this driver installed? My version of iTunes is current. My PC's operating system is Microsoft Windows vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.

Trying to transfer apps to new laptop iphone 3G

Hi Apple community. I'm trying to to transfer my apps to new laptop (Windows vista to 7) and in turn sync these to and new iphone (4 to 4S). I have copied apps via external hard drive to 'Mobile Applications' folder in new laptop but when trying to sync to the 4S have an error that tells me I cannot sync Apps to new iphone as they are linked to other computer.  How would I be able to link these to my new laptop or copy them so they can sync to new iphone?

I get error 3259 when trying to update my iphone 4 to the latest ioS update. (i have been trying for a good few months now)I have tried disabling all Firewalls, Disabled McAfee, I also have the latest iTunes Download. I just got iphone 4 from verizon but my itunes cant find it when I dock it why

I tried everything I could think of including uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it, and shutting off my Norton securities, all to no avail. Now when I plug in my phone to my computer it doesnt register with itunes at all. I am using Windows vista 64 bit operating system and I got the proper version of itunes for this computer. In fact non of my phones will register; I have an 4s, a 4, and 2 3gs's. Im sure it is the itunes software or settings but for the life of me I cant find out what might be causing this problem. any suggestions?

Windows 7 Starter Netbook and iphone 4s tethering

Hello All. This is my first post here, and I thank all in advance who read/reply to my question. I just recently purchased an iphone 4S and it has been working great. I only have one problem with it: I am unable to make a connection to my Windows 7 starter netbook for tethering. (personal hotspot) I have read the apple support documents and it says windows 7 is supported. I have it activated through my carrier (Rogers in Canada). The netbook sees the iphone and i click connect, it just thinks about it for a minute and just says cannot connect to this network. It doesn't even allow me to enter the passcode I have set on the iphone. I have tried the iphone on other computers, and they all work and make the connection fine with both wifi connecting and direct USB. Works on my vista Desktop, my windows 7 home premium laptop, and even my old XP laptop from 2004. I have installed iTunes on the netbook and it sees the iphone, but I still can't use it with tethering (thru wifi or USB) I thank everyone who reads/responds.

My son is going to Amsterdam. His iphone 4 came with a charger that states 100-240 in small print. I was in the ATT store and one guy stated that the charger will work in Amsterdam and the phone will be fine, one guy stated it will fry the phone if I do not get a converter too. I called the local Apple store and all they wanted to say was that they have a world adapterfor sale. The world adapter only states adapter and nothing about converting. Apple store employee either does not really know or just wants to sell the adapter. I called apple corporate tech support and after 2 people not knowing the answer the third came back stating that they have the world adapter! I called another local apple store and got the same response.Common sense is telling me they just want to sell the adapter. I have an adapter, just not a converter. I have a Bose On-Ear Headset, which works fine with my iphone 3G. When I use it with my new iphone 4.0 I get a weird clacky interference, and the mic does not seem to work.I put them back on my wifes 3GS, and it works fine.Is there anything difference about the jacks on the iphone 4 vs. earlier iphones that might account for this? Im having issues with downloading iOS updates through iTunes. I tried downloading iOS 4.3 and recently 4.3.1 but no luck with either. Every single time I download an update through iTunes I get an error once the file has reached 100%. The error that I get is:There was a problem downloading the software for the iphone. The network connection timed out. I also get an error code beside the update in iTunes. The error code is 3259. I spent a lot of time on Google trying to find a solution but nothing. It seems like the common issue is that a virus scanner or firewall is preventing the file from being properly processed. I dont have a firewall or anti-virus enabled, so I know this isnt the issue. Im on vista with iTunes 10.2.1 (latest versions for both). To me this issue doesnt have anything to do with my iphone. It has something to do with iTunes or a setting on my computer. I have been using Windows since when i was a small kid and have just ordered  my New MacBook and now wonders. 1. Where do i save my pics and music so as to sync them with my iphone using iTunes?2. when i synch my Iphone4 on my laptop, the photos on my laptop transfer to my phone, BUT the pics on my phone DO NOT go to my laptop! grrr...... what do i need to do? dell 1525 Windows vista
