Hello Dear Sir/Madam, I want to ask a question about my broken iphone 5 screen. Unfortunately, I could not find a discussion title about that topic. The subject is that I want to change my broken iphone 5 with a new one paying $220 and giving back to you mine. And my question is what am I required to do that in any apple store in US. Could you give me the details about like do I need to give back my iphone as the way I bought it I mean with all iphone stuff like charger and headphone.. etc. And the additional and important question is here, I need an official paper written by Apple, which says that the old iphone is changed with the new one (indicating the IMEI numbers of both) to use it in my country legally, because I have already payed tax amount for the old one and I registered with the old one so to make the new one active.In my country,then legislations say that each person has a right to register only one mobile phone in 2 years; so I need to prove that the old one is given to back to your side. Is that possible? If you can answer my all questions as soon as possible I will be glad becuase I will be in New York in a few weeks so I need to learn all details about the topic to be prepared. Crashing and screen flickering problems. iphone 4
I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!
iphone 5 camera problem
I just bought my iphone 5 one month ago then i realise my camera was not functioning, It always stuck in black screen when i try open the camera apps. I found out there are actually many people who bought iphone 5 suffered this problem when i try to look for resolution online. I want to go for warranty but my phone got dent on it's appearance. Therefore, apple told me that my phone was unable to warranty. However, my purpose to warranty is to fix the camera instead of the dent on my phone. Can apple fix my camera problem? I really feel sad and regret for purchase the phone now because of the problem i am facing now. Hopefully apple can give me a satisfied answer. Thank you.

Fixing wet iphone 4-flash light and on screen dead iphone 4S
There seems to be a lot of people out there dropping their iphone in the bath so I thought I would share my experience of fixing mine.Firstly if its in warranty consult your dealer - if this doesn't help try the following: A lot of people say stick it in bags of rice / silicon, etc but here is a quicker, more reliable way which is far less likely to contaminate one of the connectors. You do not need any special equipment. Make sure phone is off (If you can still see the screen) - hold sleep and Home for 5 seconds and tap the red off button that appearsPop your oven on a low heat ( less than 100C) for 5 minutes.Wrap your phone inside a sock, doubled over a couple of times so the phone is well protected.Turn oven offPop phone into oven for 30 minutes or longer preferably You could use a hairdryer but be very careful to keep it moving to avoid any localised heat spots that could damage components. If the phone got really soaked you might want to jump down to taking the phone apart - if it is still full of water powering up or charging could result in further damage Let the phone cool and try to power up, if nothing happens check for any signs of water vapour still in the phone and repeat if present. Otherwise try charging and powering up Still no success? this step requires a very small crosshead (some need a 5star) screwdriver, don't compromise and try and use a larger one, damaged screws will cause you even more expense. Very cheap on ebay. Unscrew the 2 small screws at the bottom next to the speaker, slide the back up and lift away. Unscrew the very small screw holding the battery connector in place and pry up the connector (lift the side nearest the edge first). Be careful not to lose the screw or the small metal bracket under the connector. Use the plastic tab sticking up half way along the battery to ease the battery out (usual there is a small amount of glue on them). This will reset the phone (you will not lose anything but the phone will hopeful power up when the battery is replaced). This is a good time to try the drying procedure again to ensure there is no more moisture present. Reconnect the battery screw everything back in place and press the wake button. If this has not succeeded you may need specialist help to test more components.Good luck ( and I cannot stress enough - keep the temperature low when drying)

I've issue with the sound of iphone 4s, last 2 days, suddenly no sound coming out of the speaker but it is ringing and speaker during calls working well But no sound for example: for the video clips, youtube, games apps, etc. I've restored the iphone but the issue not yet resolved. Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iphone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iphone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iphone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iphone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iphone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Hi everyone... I want to ask question, I just realise that I Can't do anything (swipe, text, ect) when my iphone placed on the flat surface. To be able to swipe or text i must literally hold the iphone with my hand. When the iphone was placed on the flat surface (table for example), The screen do not respond at all when I just do the swipe and text with my finger (I don't touch the iphone with my hand).But when I picked up the phone and hold it with my hand, the screen began to respond to my finger,, Anyone facing the same problem ?Do we have to hold the iphone with our hand in order to be able to swipe or text ? The wifi button doesn't highlight for me to turn it on. It is just a grey feature, with the "off" sign on it. If I try to slide it doesn't. That is the problem.
Nike won't let me sync my workout data over wifi iphone 4
I recently bought nike+ sensor and have just been for a run in it. However it won't let me upload my workout data via wifi. I got an iphone 5 on Friday and the battery *****. I've read every single forum, done everything, reset all settings, drained battery to 0 and then back up, even restarted to factory settings, turned off push, limited notifications, every thing every forum has told me to do. I even went to apple and they were no help at all, telling me my battery was normal. I don't think sleeping with 100% and waking up with 75% is normal, or getting 2 hours if limited use from my phone throughout the day. I have no idea what to do and I'm getting so tired of this. I did not pay 1000$ and wait 5 months for this. I really expected so much more. Someone help me, and give me a right answer, to help me fix this. Seriously getting so ******. Why my iphone 5 camera have dark shadow-type spot on one constant part of screen
There is a shadow type spot in one part of the camera app, that stays on a certain part of the screen when the camera is moved (normal HD camera on back). It then appears in photos. What can I do to fix this? Is a Genius Bar trip the only answer? Thanks!

Hi,I have notice that with the new upgrade of iOS 6.1.3 in my new iphone 5 the battery duration it is decrease a lot with the same use. Before also two days with one chard and now, with the upgrade only six-nine hours. LTE data and bluetooth are disable. There's someone who could tell me an explanation or maybe a solution???? iphone 5 64gb delay before unlock screen appears
hi.. im newb.. my missus & me just got 2 iphone 5 64gb, all up to date with ios and we both get the same problem. hopefully i can explain it properly. after u hit the button on the top when ur not using the phone and then come back later to use it, you press round button, sometimes nothing happens sometimes and it takes anywhere from 30 secs to a few minutes before it shows the slide to unlock screen. it doesnt happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. ive restarted a few times and this doesnt seem to have any effect. now my messages are doing the same thing - it hangs on a blank blue screen. my partner suggested it could be because its 64gb? either way, my phone is empty, like 50gb free. Any help would be appreciated. I use my phone for work & its annoying when u need to show someone a photo or something and right just then ur phone decides to go on vacation.....

My iphone 4s screen goes d even though it not on auto brightness setting
When I am using my iphone randomly the screen will go to the very dimmest setting possible. The slide adjuster however remains in the same brightness where it was set originally. When i press the slider again in the same spot it is resting it brightens like it should but will continue to randomly go dim throughout the day. This is rather annoying during the winter when it's harder to manuver a phone with gloves on in central Ohio. Thanks guys for your help!

Since i have updated my iphone 4S to the new software update (6.1) I dont recieve an twitter notifications through. Everything else seems to be fine apart from this. I dont receieve anything, nothing comes up in the notification centre, I have to find out if I get a tweet manually through the feed. I think i have checked the notification centre and settings correctly. If anyone could help me that would be brilliant, as i'm completely lost at the moment. HI, Firstly i have an iphone 4S 16GB. I understand there has been many posts about this but i'm desperate for a direct answer as to why my "other" storage is at 5.20GB. I have gotten ridden of unwanted songs, apps and photos to free up space but yet i still have only 0.9GB free. I also have taken some advice to clear game data like scores etc, emails, messages, bookmarks, blah blah. yet nothing has changed. Even when i restore it fixes it but only for short period of time. Hi,I have an iphone 5 and Macbook Pro 13" Retina. I "imessage" from both, and it worked smoothly before but now I am starting to have some problems.. First of all, on my Macbook, I can imessage people easily, but whenever I send it from my laptop, it does not sync to my phone. When i try to send a imessage from my phone, it says delivered, but the person on the other line sends back their answer in regular "text" form for EVERY one of their replies . Question on unlock process for iphone 4
Hello, I have completed my 2-year contract agreement with AT&T and received the instructions for unlocking my iphone 4. My question: My iphone is synced. Now I should do a full backup and restore of the iphone via iTunes, but will this (1) keep all my current apps and (2) affect my current settings, specifically will I need to re-adjust all my individual notifications (alert style, badge app icon, sounds, view in lock screen)? This would be a tremendous chore for me as I currently have 176 applications on my mobile. I appreciate your help with the answer to this. Thank you Regards, Chuck
Transfer photos back and forth to OS X WITHOUT iPhoto or iTunes iphone 3G
I googled to no end, searched Apple support forums endlessly and you know what? Not a single simple answer can seem to be given without being redirected to something that simply does not answer THIS very specific question. Is it, or is it not possible to quickly transfer photos DIRECTLY *FROM* and *INTO* the Camera Roll WITHOUT iTunes or iPhoto? Simple question yes? lol. NOPE. Reason why I ask can be simply described in short: iTunes 11.0.2, running iphone iOS 6.1; Clicking "Photos" from my iphone via iTunes, gives me ONE single option; "Sync photos from". Tried keeping it real simple. Make a folder on the desktop called iphone Photos just for quickly transfering photos back and forth and chose to synch from that. 18 photos to test. Just crap from the internet. Nothing major. Know what it does? For one, it takes 3 minutes or so to sync 18 whole photos, which is stupid but whatever. But here's the BEST part, none get sent to my Camera Roll, oh no, it makes TWO entirely new folders under it in my iphone. One being the one I made on my desktop, and the other is called Photo Library, and get this, BOTH of these have the same 18 pictures lmao. Yup. Why? Oh who cares at this point. I really just do not care. Apple. All that needs to be said. And as for iPhoto. It's just an unnecessary useless program I have no intentions of ever needing. Why? I keep a crap load of various types of photos in organized folders in my Finder, and iPhoto likes making sure it takes 3x longer to do that. It really just does. Now back on point. What happened to the good old friggin days when all you had to do was DRAG AND DROP?!?!?! I legitimately am getting cancer from pondering this question. Is there not a way to simply drag from Camera Roll somehow to the iMac, like say a specified folder. And Vice Versa from the iMac straight to Camera Roll? A nice workaround to get FROM Camera Roll TO iMac specified folder is "Image Capture" which does exactly just THAT. Quickly and painlessly transfer STRAIGHT FROM AND TO wherever. This is ridiculous. At this point, I'd pay 50 bucks for a simple app to quickly drag and drop from and to Camera Roll and bam. Done. Sorry for the book, but this is getting ******** trying to get an answer to this and thought I would deem it necessary to be as descriptive as humanly possible. Looking for simple answers if possible, but at least descriptive. Thanks.

Hello everyone!I recently bought an iphone 5 and used iCloud to restore apps to it. The apps are all almost installed, except they won't due to the fact I'm not signed into iCloud. I don't text while driving which is illigle in my state not to mention unsafe. It drives me crazy when I hear a text come in and no I can't read it or answer. There are apps for androids that send auto replies why isn't there one for iphone? Is there one in the works?

How I fix grey flickering screen after replacement iphone 4
So I cracked my iphone 4S screen and I bought a new screen from amazon and I put it all together. When I turned on the iphone it showed all black with nothing but I felt the vibration when it turned on and when I switched from sound to vibrate it also vibrated. I opened the iphone and checked all the cables and it turned out I had a loose cable. I plugged it back on. Then, I had a grey flickering screen and I couldn't use any buttons like volume or home buttons and I couldn't see a slide to unlock or the time it was plain grey and flickering... Can someone help me with my flickering grey screen issue? Would help out a lot, thank you!

I have an iphone 4 and I had to get new one due to defect with my old one and I left apple store's wifi before iCloud was done restoring unknowingly. So it still stuck in restore Help please iphone 4S
I left the apple store fast due to the fact i was in a bad car accudent and i am in a wheelchair and cant stay seated like that long due to a broken leg. It randomly will pop up message saying something like it needs wifi but I have wifi at my house. It also pops up another message something like it needs to finish restoring it and asks if I want to download it all and I click on it it to but it goes away after that and nothing pops back up. I also can't install the new update it says I have I finish the retire then do it. My photo album is also stuck at whatever number of photos I have taken in the new phone that number of 300 something. It just says its downloading it. I have no clue what to do. Also my iCloud backup I looked and it says I have 2.2 gb left then that the backup is 2.7 gb. I'm very confused what options I have and can't find an answer anywhere please help me!

Whether I call someone or answer a call, I cannot hear the other person unless I put them on speaker mode. They cannot hear me either. I cannot find any setting that controls this. Is there such a thing? This is a great small computer, but not so great as an actual phone.HELP!

Can I block one iphone from my wifi iphone 4S
My fourteen year old brother keeps figuring out the wifi password in our home. He is not allowed to have it AT ALL, and this infuriates me because now that he has figuered it out YET AGAIN my father might take away wifi all together and tie everyone down to wires..... so... is it possible to block one iphone from using the internet at all hours of the day... like even if he figures out what the password is again can the wifi not accept his iphone as a suitable device? Now before you go on about saying that he shouldnt have an iphone if we dont want him to have internet, we've got it all figured out. He doenst have internet on his iphone, we turned that off and we only allow him to use the phone for games, music, texting, and calling, and so that we can use the tracking device on it to keep him safe, the one problem is that he keeps figureing out the password to our wifi and thus gives himself internet access that he is not allowed to have at all. SO after you have read my little tale please help me answer this one question: Is it possible, whether through an app or through our wifi, to block him from using wifi PERMANANTLY. Thanks
limit on amount of phone numbers allowed in Group MMS iphone 5
I have tried searching online and could not find the answer to my issue, and have had no luck. I have an iphone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 software which says on my phone that it is up to date.I recently have been using Group MMS to send out the same text to multiple people at once. It's great and all, but it will only allow me to add a total of 10 phone numbers to one group. If I try to type in an 11th person, that phone number disappears when I begin to type the text message. I've been messing with it today and talked to another iphone users and was told they have not had this problem with sending to more than ten phone numbers themselves. I was wondering if there is a setting in the phone I need to change, is there some limit to the phone numbers allowed in a single Group MMS, is it a problem with the phone itself, etc.? Thanks!

My iphone 5's Data Roaming is set to off but I am seeing on my bills that I am having some data roaming. Not much, 2000-4000 kb's per month. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Sprint can not answer my question, but I really didn't think they would since no one there can give a straight answer.

my iphone 4 works mint until i slide to unlock. i erased all content and settings and now the phone only works on the lock screen but goes completely black when i slide to unlock it. the lock and unlock sounds work.
