Why doesn't iOS 6 or 7 have the ability to "click to call" any 10-digit number in the "contact notes"? This is a simple and quick option to create, isn't it? I get so tired of copying and pasting phone numbers in the "notes" section of my contact cards. I should not have to do that.  By the way, I should not have to make a contact card for everyone whose phone number is associated with a contact. Please advise.

Iphone 5 water damage

Hello all.  quick question about Apple's warranty.  Due to a major screw up on my part, my iphone 5 with through a wash cycle.  Once I removed the phone from the washer, I immediately placed the phone in a bag of rice.  Within 12 hours, the phone was in the hand's of an iphone repair tech.  The phone is now being cleaned ultrasonically, however, according to the tech some corrosion was all ready starting.  Back to my post, the phone is 5 months old and no insurance.  Do I have any options under Apple's warranty if the cleaning doesn't work? Any input would be helpful, thanks.

my battery on iphone seems to decrease very quickly

my iphone 4 battery seems to decrease pretty quick but when it goes to 20% it decreases much slower. i have drained the battery totally and charged it to a 100% and when i began to use my phone the battery straight away went to 99%. as i switched it off and on again it went to 85%.so i left it on and charged it. i have no idea what is going on with my phone can anyone answer my questions please because this phone is irritating me

Phone turns off with lots of battery left iPhone 4S

My iPhone 4S has taken to turning off with as much as 30% power left. When I plug it in again and it comes back up, it will indicate the same power percentage. I have made it a habit of draining the battery at least once a month and then fully charging it (probably that happens more than once a month), so I feel like I've been properly maintaining the battery. I got this when the 4S came out, so it's as old as the 4S model is. Oddly, if I'm on the phone this does not happen. It will run down to 1%. Maybe that's coincedence, maybe not. It's quite irritating - isn't this supposed to be the software/hardware that "just works"? - when you're doing something important and this happens. Today two armadillos appeared in our back yard and I was shooting some video of them. I got a low battery warning - I'm not sure if it was the 10% or 20% warning - but then right after clearing it, the phone shut down. I had some good video, but instead of using the remaining power to save the video, the video was just lost. I had never seen armadillos up close like that and was wanting that video to show my son and some other people, but now due to this problem that video is gone. Thanks a lot, Apple!

iPhone 5 battery life and speaker issues

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but firstly. The battery life *****. And really *****. I let phone completely drain at least twice a month. Then fully charge it. Not a huge user but data I know eats it. We are talking literally within two hours of not using it and it will be down to 59%. Didn't expect this off a phone like this. iPhone 4S beats it hands down. Considering going back to it tbh.  Speaker issues are terrible. Tried the music on full pause. Then exit. Then test but still nothing. Rang apple they say its not a fault but why would other people be reporting it.  iPad 4 users. Do you have issues with battery life too? And very slow charge and very quick drain. This is a joke. Nearly a Grands worth of kit and you feel like your using a Nokia 3310.  #annoyed!

Help need to something iPhone 4S

After synching 4S with iTunes by plugging into PC has been nothing but problems.  Phone charge drops quick, like something is running.  I can not find anything.  No time registers on standby and usage. just lines there.Deleted entire email and reinstalled.  Siri off, notifications off, privacy & locations off.Some strange stuff comes up under diagnostics...not sure if suppose to have all those? Should this diagnostics be reported or off? Can not power phone off, it automatically kicks itself back on, so can not do hard start.  Did a complete restore/recovery on it.  Nothing seems to be helping.I will take any suggestions!  No Apple stores near us, so need to try to resolve over this!

recently I discovered that my iPhone 5 would only charge when the charger was balanced in a certain manner.The cable had to be taut and wrapped around the iphone and thus ensuring that the charger part was in a certain way, as a quick fix I bought a new charger in the hope it would work. Hi, i went to a party this friday and i fell in the pool with my iphone 4s in my pocket i got it out quick but the screen was all black, i came home and i did the rice trick and i opened a few minutes ago and i can hear sounds and it vibrates but the screen is all black. i dont have the money right now to buy a new one, i bought mine october 2012 but not at the apple store i got it with my plan with my phone provider so what can i do? thanks for your time and sorry for my bad english.

iPhone 4S keyboard issue

Ok so I have an iPhone 4S 16gb black for verizon and I have recently noticed some mistyping issues with my keyboard I have gone to Apple to no avail and my issue is that when I'm typing using almost any app I get a lot of cross talk on the keys is this normal? For anyone who doesn't know what that is its when the key you meant to type actually types the key directly next to it. Example: if I try to type "fox" its comes out "fix" or "quick" come out "quivk" because the key next to the o is i and c is next to v now many would say im not hitting the right key but i know that to be false because i can actually see the input drift over to the adjacent key. It also misses letters as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have noticed on only a few other devices but it seems hit or miss. Or is this the lack of the keyboard not being able to respond fast enough or accurate enough to differentiate between the keys I dunno. Random I know but please help because apparently Apple couldn't.

Water Damage iPhone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iPhone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iPhone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iPhone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iPhone 4S when the next generation iPhone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

My iphone 5 loses battery extremely fast

Ok so my iPhone is pretty new I got it like a few weeks ago. It was fine at first but now it loses battery super quick. I charge it over night and in the morning when I unplug it I literally lose a percent immediately and then I check Facebook for a bit and it goes down to 95-93%.Is this happening to anyone else? What do I do about it? I'm running on IOS 6.1.4 and have about 7GB left from my 32GB capacity.

I have tried to download ios 6.1.3 on both my iphone and through my laptop, the 'download and install' option on the software update area is greyed out and not 'live' when i tap. when i try to upgrade and install on my laptop it says 3 hours remaining to instal, why?.

Iphone 5 trouble with charging please help

     Haven't had my iPhone for long (around November for my birthday) and for about the last couple of weeks recently I have had major trouble with the battery charge.      At first I thought it was the cables, so I got new one after new one and they'd work but then stop working. Until the last one I just purchased, it pretty much stopped charging the phone straight away. No lightening or sound response, no connection via computer etc. So, when my charge ran out I still had it plugged into my computer and now my phone only chargers when it's off when it's plugged into a USB port (bear in mind, it doesn't connect to iTunes-it says USB is unrecognized although it still chargers the phone when off). However, it charges fairly quickly when off but when in use the charge diminishes just as quick as it takes to charge. Not only that but now whenever I wish to turn my iPhone off, it turns itself back on.      I have recently sent off my phone to the Apple store to have it checked over and it came back to me saying they couldn't reproduce the symptons I had mentioned so there was me thinking everything was fine but nope, still faulty. So a bit disappointed with paying £7.00 for delivery to have nothing been done about it (not only that, but the phone as also out of charge when returned so it just seemed like my phone wasn't looked over one bit). Also a bit disappointed and annoyed at the fact I'm still paying for my monthly contract for the phone when I am unable to use it!!!     I haven't damaged the phone (it basically looks brand new) and haven't exposed it to any liquids. The USB port on my phone where I charge it seems clear too.      The annoyance of having to send it back to Apple costing me more money is offputting so does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm going to my local 3 store to see if they can help me out but I'm just a bit fed up now. Can see this is a popular problem amongst other iPhone users too. Many thanks! (Oh and need to add I HAVE updated everything on my phone, restored everything, restarted etc.)

I have recently purchased a 4G/LTE sim card from my carrier (mobily). The phone doesn't show LTE notification on the screen. It is stuck in 3G. I have checked all settings and even restored my phone but still it is stuck in 3G mode. My friend who sits in the office next to me just got his iPhone yesterday and he is getting LTE signal notification on the screen.

My charger hasn't suddenly stopped working. I've tried charging via my laptop as well and no luck. The ac adaptor is also making a strange buzzing noise when I remove it from the socket. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Or know of any quick fix?

Hey guys you've probably read my other threads about a bad iphone battery.here is what happened.i bought an iPhone 4 from ebay that had an error 21 ( wouldnt power up unless it was plugged in)i had a bad eSn cracked iPhone 4 with me, so i swapped the battery from my old iphone 4 to the new one. The old battery was working perfectly fine on the bad esn iphone. OK so i swapped it and the iphone with error boot it up! i was happy but then while it was still working it got really HOT while being plugged in, while unplugged still warm though. Batter drained quick and got the Temp warning. Then today it died, i tried it on the bad esn iphone and yes battery died. When i opened the iphone again, the battery had some green things coming from the battery. im guessing because it was over heated.not sure what to do now. help anyone?

Location Services icon always on even with no apps running iPhone 4

Noticed last night for the first time; as long as LS are turned on, the icon is apprearing in the corner -- even if no apps are running.  Done multiple resets and memory cleaning, as well as turning off every app in the quick-start bar, but the arrow icon is stil there.  No new apps. We're in the middle of moving, so until I get my computer set up in my new place I can't do an iTunes sync to see if that solves it. Anyone else ever have this?  Any suggestions?

I was playing a puzzle game on my iphone when all of a sudden the screen darkened and went black, I could not turn the phone on or off. it is locked solid.I plugged it in to itunes and I received a message saying it was trying to recover, then I got a message saying you want to restore to factory restings, which I said yes and it ran for a short period and I got another message say could not restore due to error 9. Could someone tell me if this is a hardware issue that need to go back to Apple or is there a quick fix.

Best apps for productivity iPhone 3G

I need a calendar app that has a quick add for appointments and events, i need a way to pick a date in calendar  view, then add a event or reminder or todo and even add a note with checkmarks or numbered such as 1,2,3, etc.  And. One with geo location alerts for reminders about stuff as i am near the location of the area where i need to go. i have tried just about every notepad  and reminder app out there some do offer the things I am looking for such as (checkmark ) or some from (Appigo)  but like spring-pad or life topics they have so many options and  really too many choices it takes ten steps to set a reminder on those.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please let me know. iPhone 5 Battery Data usage issues

Here's my journey. I had the iPhone 5 from the day it was realeased. Was with Vodafone Australia. Phone was awesome. Coverage was an issue, so decided to swap to Telstra recently. Got new iPhone 5 with the change over. From the beginning, the new Iphone on Telstra, the battery was draining completely in less than 3 hours. Looked at the support communities and spoke to Apple. I made the mistake of setting the phone up from a "BackUp". They suggested setting it up as a "new phone" in iTunes. Did that - phone had been awesome until 4 days ago when I decided to "Update All" of the pending App updates. After all was downloaded the phone returned to its draining self, also becomign VERY VERY HOT when charging. Warmer than normal. Also got a SMS from Telstra to say I have used 82% of my download entitlement. With 22 days remaining!!!! Something wasnt right, not only was it using the battery life, cellular data usage was being drained also. Spoke to Apple, they told me I would need to do a process of elimination to find the "corrupt" app that was draining the Battery & Data.  I deleted every single App I had on the phone, yet it made no difference. I started to monitor the cellular data recieved on the phone. With no apps and nothing running, how is there data and battery being drained. Decided yesterday to"RESTORE" iPhone once again. Set up as a new phone. I had loaded my email settings, but nothing else. I hadnt even provided my Apple ID infomation so the App Store wasnt logged in. Phone was still not right. Played with some settings, decided to turn my "Exchange" email from "PUSH" to "Manually Fetch".  After this, the phone was back to normal. No cellular data being downloaded and battery OK. Turned Exchanged back to PUSH, then the battery decides to trickle away again. After all this ********, I have narrowed it down to the way my exhcnage server checks for new messages. I have ALWAYS had my Exchange server PUSH emails to me. Why with this phone, on 6.1 should I have to have it to Manually check for emails. I get the feeling from conversations with other people, there seems to be alot of unknown data usage which Apple need to make a priority in preventing. This is costing consumers time and money. Curious if anyone else has had same issue?

iPhone 5 camera not working

My iPhone 5 seems to have an issue with its camera, whereby upon starting the camera app, the camera goes as far as showing the shutter screen and sometimes a blank screen instead. None of the buttons on the screen are functional at that point except the gallery of course. Even the front facing camera isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to mend this problem. Yes, I know that it is best for me to go to the Apple service centre and sort it out but I'd prefer if there is any close-to-home quick-fix method anyone know of I can employ? Besides, I've been told that it takes about 14 working days for my phone to get checked and fixed. It's a bit too long for me with university around the corner. So any ideas? Switching iPhone s iPhone 5

Hi everyone, I did the unthinkable and dropped my new iphone 5. Now the screen slowly comes up with verticle green lines. If I'm quick enough, I can get an app to open, otherwise, it is unusable. Though siri still works. I still have my original iPhone 3Gs. It still works fine, also is AT&T. Is it possible to re-activate the old phone again? i have already solve the problem..follow the step.1- lock skrin with power button2-wait for a minute3- double click home button..4- if u see the music sound slider hold it quickly (only if u see the slider, please be quick before the slider hide again)if u dont see the slider or it has been hide again, repeat step 15- use other finger to touch play button.. then slide the sound left and right6- done your sound will be enable back..7- restart your phone to make sure the problem not coming back  it work for my iphone 4s..tq

How come I get fast wifi speeds but videos can never load iPhone 5

Is there something wrong with my phone? I get fast wifi speeds like 50Mbps down and 7Mbps up. But whenever I try to load a video off youtube every second it downloads two seconds of video. On LTE it's insanely quick. I'm about to take this this phone back.

Error 1200 iPhone

Hi All. After updating IOS phone has become a bit of a brick, it won't connect to Internet or iTunes or any apps. Whenever this is tried it displays error 1200.Does anyone know how to resolve this? not charging 6.1 iPhone 4S

Hi, I installed iOS 6.1 yesterday morning and since then I have had real issues charging. I have and iPhone 4S and the update was done over the air while plugged in to the charger (wall socket). I noticed last night that despite plugging it in it would not charge, I tried different cables, different plugs and different sockets, but eventually I managed to get it to charge from on of my PC USB sockets (only one seemed to work, and that was on the second try, it only worked after turning the iPhone off then plugging it into the USB) and it charged very very slowly. Anywho, tried again this morning and no such luck, even plugging it in while the device was off. However when I plugged it in with the iPhone turned off, the wee apple logo comes up (like it used to when it was plugged into something) and it automatically turns the device on, but doesn't charge. This happens when plugging it in to a USB socket on my PC and when plugging it in to the wall charger. Also the device no longer appears in iTunes. It worked perfectly until I installed 6.1 and 6.1 installed and verified perfectly. Doing a quick google search I've noticed that this seems to be a relatively widespread problem for others who've installed 6.1. Screams to me that there is an issue with iOS 6.1, so hoping for a 6.1.1 soonish (phone now turned off, 30% battery).

I dropped my Iphone 4s in 3 inches of alcohol iPhone 5

2 nights ago, I accidentally dropped my iphone 4s into about 3 inches of alcohol, I immediatly turned my phone off and dried it off. After I dried it off I made the mistake of turning it back on 5 minutes later and noticed my phones speaker was not working. My speaker for my allarm and ringer worked, But my music and the speaker for calls was completely silent. I noticed my screen started flashing so I turned my phone back off. An hour after the incident occured, I went home and put it in a ziploc bag full of rice and went to sleep. Somehow within the time I was asleep my phone turned on itself and the alarm of my phone woke me up, I was confused and turned my phone back off and noticed the led light on my camera was on (it was not very bright, but it was slightly noticeable). Before I turned it off, I noticed my screen was turning purple and flashing. For the rest of the day i left it in the rice and my phone's light was on. Around 6pm I turned my phone on to see the progress, due to the screen remaining black I thought it had died. However moments later I heard my phone go off. I used another phone to call mine and it rang but the screen was black still. i slid the screen where I would normally pick up the phone and my speakers worked.. So now my speaker works and my phone is fine but my screen is completly black. I also noticed my music and siri still worked. I turned my phone back off and left it in rice, I have not touched my phon since then. My phone remains in rice and I have no idea what to do...Should I charge it soon? SHould I bring it in to the apple store? Is this something that can be repaired... SHould I begin looking for a new phone? Thanks in advanced!

iPhone 5 Hold Button not responding

Why has the Hold button stopped responding on my iPhone 5, which I have only had a little over two months ?  I went ahead and did a complete back up, then erased all of the settings and returned the phone back to it's original factory settings.  Thinking, maybe there could be a glitch in my settings or an app.  That didn't work !  On to plan B, which is where I am now .  Hopefully this will be a quick, easy fix and not cost me a fortune .  A side note:  this is the only issue that I am having trouble with.  Everything else works great !

The warranty on the iPhone will remain in place and valid when you buy a used iPhone. But the warranty will have started when the iPhone was first purchased, so you will only get whatever is remaining of the original one-year warranty.  Regards.

Accounts messed up my 4S iPhone 3G

My gf got a iPhone 4S, earlier she had a 3G. Once upone a time, she created a Apple ID in here own name with here own e-mail address. Later, when she got the 4S, she coudln't log in with here old username/password, so she created a new account using my e-mail. Late last year, we updated it to iOS6, and after that, i tried to make here old username/password work, but no luck. The phone claimed it was already taken and could not be used, same with my hotmail address that she used. I tried for several hours, but it got late and she needed the phone, so the quick fix was to create yet another account using one of my outlook addresses. I logged in now, trying to delete this account (as my username suggests, lol), but no luck there. The problem at the moment is as follows: - In settings, she seems to be logged into here account on iCloud and iTunes and App Store.- If she launches the App Store and try to update one of the outdated apps, it prompts a window asking for the password of my outlook address.- That same window pops up when she roboots the phone, with the outlook address already filled in (unchangable). How come? we want to clean up that mess and get her account back as it should be...

Battery draining very quick with 6.0.2 tried setting up new iphone still problems still.

iPhone 4S dies quickly even when phone off

I have a 16GB iPhone 4S for AT&T that dies within around seven hours with very very light usage. Today I after charging it all night I took it off the charger at 7:40 a.m. I used it to send 2 text and turned it off at 8:30 with 96%. At 9:20 I turned it back on and it had 81%, it was off the whole time and was not hot. By 1:40 my phone had died.  Once my phone die it would not show the connect to charger symbol. When I plugged it up to the charger it showed the lightning charging symbol. The symbol stayed there for 2 hours until I couldn't take it anymore. I tried the power and home button trick and it did not work. I put the phone back on the charger for the next 3 hours and it finally turned on.  When the phone turned on I had no cellular, no wifi, and no Bluetooth, when I tried to turn it on it would even give me the option. I turn the phone off and on, same thing. I take it off the charger and it Immediately dies, I am getting ****** I take off the back and unplug the battery. After I unplug the battery I held down the power button for 15 seconds, plug it back in and it gives me the connect to charger symbol. I plug it up and 15 mins later it turns on and everything is working perfectly fine it just dies really quick and I'm scared it might happen again.  What is going on and how can I fix it?

iphone 5 camera stuck and keep restarting from day 1 i bought, reseted, installed new firmware through itunes. no luck i approach the local dealer (mobily from Saudi Arabia) , agree for replacement but no stock available its more than two weeks since i contact them,   its Iphone 5, 64 GB 6.02
