Cant install apps iphone 3G

Okay, so I wanted to install vine (an app) but I can't. The reason why is because the free button (the app is free) is faded out so I can't download it. I tries so many different things but still I can't install certain apps. When I try to click on the button nothing happens. Because its faded so I can't use it.

When my iphone sits in silent mode, sometimes it spontaneously vibrates with no notification. There's nothing that shows any notification for mail, facebook, twitter etc. Anyone else having this happen to them??

iOS 6.1.4 Overheating High Battery Consumption iphone 5

Having issues with iOS 6.1.4 heating up (in standby) and high battery consumption in standby. It's not consistant but I will, sporatically, notice my phone warming up, in my pocket, to pull it out, turn the screen on and then off again and it'll cool down.Battery consumption is also very high (worse than iOS 6.1 update issue) and is drained quickly. I've closed all active applications (but mail and calendar as I need for work) and still will occur.

iphone 5 not ringing or alerting of texts calls going to voice mail

My iphone 5 recently started having problems with the ringer.  The ringer will be turned all the way up, the mute button is NOT being used and the phone will not ring for calls or alert for texts.  It is not always happening, but more so than not.  I have tried rebooting the phone, the OIS is up to date and I do not have the "Do Not Disturb" set.  I can be in the same spot with LTE and full signal have a call/text that is missed then receive a call/text and it rings.  Does not seem to matter if the call is coming from a land line, same Verizon carrier cell or different carrier cell there is no noticable reason.  Any ideas???

So last night I was talking via speaker phone and suddenly noticed that the sound quality was horrible.  It was extremely grainy and scratchy sounding.  At first I thought it was just something with the call quality so I turned off the speaker and talked on the phone normally.  Later I got an e-mail and noticed that the tone that it made also sounded scratchy.  So I tried playing a song through the iphone speaker and sure enough that was awful too.   I know it's the internal speaker because the music played fine through headphones.  Has anyone experienced this before?  If so, how did you go about fixing it? Thank you!

Fixed my phone but display still doesn't work iphone 4S

4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay).  Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again.  What could be broken?

I recently purchased an iphone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. iphone 4s mail App using Gmail-Username or password for account incorrect

I recently changed my Gmail password for my Gmail account while on my desktop pc. Then on my iphone 4s, I configured the Google app (for the first time) for my Gmail account. This worked fine. I went back to the default iphone mail app (in Settings) which was already configured with my Gmail account (and was previously working). I figured I would be prompted to change my password - which I was. But it wouldn't accept the change. So I then deleted the account and tried to set it up again. It still won't work. It continues to say the username or password for the account is incorrect.  Can you not have the same Gmail account configured in both places - the mail app and the Google app? Thoughts?Thanks!Lori

Cracked Screen on iphone 4

I dropped a hard metal spoon while i was clearing up and it landed directly ontop of my iphone when it was the table and its cracked the screen.The phone still works as if no damage has happened, but its just a crack and im worried it will get worse.  I bought this phone definately less than a year ago, around christmas because i remember being served through the fast lanes, so its still under warranty. I just wanted to know how much it costs to fix it. My friend told me she took her phone back when she owned an iphone because she had cracked the screen too by dropping it. And they gave her one free, so i dont know how much it is, but when my brother went because of the speakers not working on his, they wanted him to pay £119, but that was two years ago. I doubt very much i will get a free one because it was damage caused by me, so i just want a rough idea how much it will cost to fix because im hearing two different things.  Thanks in advance

Help With mail iphone 3G

Bought mail+ from the store. It won't connect even though I have given it correct the Comcast email adddress, password and incoming domain at least 6 times. It tries to connect for 4-5 minutes and then times out and makes me reenter everything. Two requests for help from their customer service have not been answered in last 48 hours and I'm about to dump the app and move on but I paid for it so hate to give up. Any suggestions?

Multiple iphone 4S issues continuing

I am tired of my iphone 4S already after suffering through issues upon issues with the device. My screen is having issues now where at a moment's chance it goes dim. I have to reset the device to get the brightness back to normal. I've tried restoring without any luck of this resolving. Another gripe I have is that I'm continuing to have issues with apps like mail, Safari, and other Apple installed apps just continuously force closing. I've been sending emails back and forth on my iphone only to have mail force close and I lose everything in my message. The phone acts sluggish and performs worse than previous 4S devices I've owned. I've had issues upon issues across multiple iphone 4S devices. The device I have currently is my 5th iphone 4S and even tho its less than a few months old after it was sent to me after multiple filler iPhones of refurb models from the store, I continue to experience issues that make me use my iphone less and less as it becomes more unreliable with the crashes and multiple restores. My closest store is not within close distance so that's made owning an iphone with issues difficult as not every thread on the communities forum touch on half the problems I continue to have. Thankfully at least Siri knows where I'm located compared to my other devices where she always thought I was in Pittsburgh where I picked the phone up at my nearest store over an hour and a half away. Now everything just seems to be more of a deficiency with iOS and the hardware than anything. Obviously there must be something wrong with the latest stocks of 4S devices if my issues are continuing. When I restore I'm always setting up as a new device. I'm never downloading or redownloading anything from my Mac or PC. Everything is just redownloading apps from iCloud within the App Store and having a ton of missing photos in my photo stream. I just don't understand what is wrong with my iphone. I never experienced these kind of issues with my iphone 3GS so its hard to swallow how terrible the 4S has performed with every single device I keep getting. I'm at a loss on what I can do. Does anyone have any tips I should try that Apple hasn't provided me with to fix or at least band-aid the issue long enough till I can upgrade with my carrier?

Phone volume low. iphone 4S

My phone volume is very low only for calls. I use the Voxer walkie talkie app and the ear piece volume is loud, but as soon as I make a call or listen to a voice mail, the volume is near mute as max volume. Any solutions?!

I have an iphone 5... I cannot make calls or receive calls. I reset network settings and  I have reset the SIMS card and I am still having the same problem.  My husband is on the same cell service as I am and he is not having any problems.    When I try to make a call - it goes directly to call ended - when people try to call me it goes directly to my voice mail. on the left hand side at the top all it says is seraching - my wifi is connected... i also keep getting NO Service..  Can anyone help? Thanks

iphone 5 was stolen

im 2 months into my 24 month contract no insurance as i thought the house insurance covered it but they dont as the phone was stolen from work. So im stuck with a contract for a phone i dont have that some guy now has for free..... I have been using the find my iphone app but it has been offline since? they turned the phone off straight away (as any thief would do)After doing some research i came to know that the find my iphone app doesnt work if the phone has been switched off?  Ive reported the theft to police they have CCTV footage but cant track the theives! Isnt there anything that can be done other fork out for a new phone?! I dont understand why an app would be made that does half the job? obviously the first thing a thief would do is turn the phone off? And ive even found out that if they plug the phone into itunes they can jus wipe the handset not impressed. We pay so much for these handsets yet there not even upto scratch with security features. (overpriced? definatley) You would think that with all these updates they come up with they would have done something for the security and tracking. Im disappointed with the what i have found.

iphone apps not opening-have tried all usual fixes

A few days ago I got my iphone unlocked from my provider (Telstra) as I am about to travel and wanted to put a country specific sim in it. Since then no non-Apple apps have worked.I have tried (many times) to :- 1. restore from a previous backup (plus multiple syncs) and using different backups2. delete an app and reinstall it3. download a new free app (and when that didn't work I deleted it and retried installing it)4. sign in and out of the app store on the iphone5. sign in and out of the app store on my iMac6. de-authorise and re-authorise my iMac7. wipe the iphone clean and start with a fresh install8. And reset the device too many times. Nothing I have found on any site has worked. I thought the wipe the phone clean would have done it but it hasn't.I have wasted about 20 hours trying to get this thing working again. If I wasn't going on vacation tomorrow I would be at my provider getting them to fix their mess but I can't. Can anyone help? My iphone 4S will not connect to wifi when I have to enter a password (yes, the password is correct).  It will connect to free wifi.  Any ideas?  I've tried resetting network settings, forget this network, rebooting and renew lease.

Recently my iphone 4s stopped charging via the wall charger and my car charger, I have experimented with various cords and wall charging units, and it still does not charge. I recently took my iphone to the Mall of America Apple Store and they said that the problem is with the device and since the device is out of warranty, I could use my upgrade and "upgrade" to the iphone 4 for free, I could get a replacement 4s for $200, etc. However, since I am unemployed and my contract is almost up with Sprint, I do not want to spend that kind of money. The Sprint store says the problem is with the cords, but since I have tried multiple cords, I suspect the Apple Store is right. Has anyone here experienced this issue, if so were you able to fix and how did you?

Hello, I have previously used Shoutcast radio player on Android and I liked the fact that it showed the name of the song playing.  I downloaded Shoutcast for my iphone and that feature has been removed it seems.  So my question is this:  Is there a preferabley free music app that will allow me to search for my genre of music and play that station and list names of songs? My generes of music are Metallica Stations and Soundtrack Stations.  That's what I like to listen to mostly. So is there any app out there or am I stuck with Shoutcast until they update the app?   Thank you for your assistance

aws unlocked iphone 5

I bought a full price Unlocked iphone 5 from Apple back in January to use on Straight Talk. I had some issues with data on Straight Talk not being reliable and I had to keep turning data off and on again to get a connection. Now that TMobile is supporting the iphone at the same price as Straight Talk I figured i'd give them a try - after all that's what having an unlocked phone with no contrat is all about right? I'm a free agent. So i signed up however i don't get 3G anyhere, and my 4G coverage is spotty (talking HSPA+ 4G not LTE). This is because my $599 unlocked phone doesn't have AWS support.  My question is why won't Apple release an update that will allow my identical hardware to work the way the one would if i bought it from TMobile? It's the same A1428 Model, the ony difference is the software.  I really don't have to have to sell my older A1428 to buy a new A1428 from TMobile just to get it to work when it should have anyway.  Can someone respond as to what Apple plans to do about this? Thanks,Andrew

Dying iphone 5

I have been having multiple problems with my iphone 5 and ive only had it for 6 months. I have been restoring it to factory settings on a regular basis however it still has been having problems (more and more frequent.      #1 Teathering. I have been having trouble teathering off of my phone. (i tried several devices to rule my macbook out of the troubleshooting, nothing works) No device picks up my wifi or bluetooth personal hotspot. My macbook does not even recognize my USB connection in network settings.      #2 My wifi on the phone is also a hassle. It has been becoming more and more intermittant, but rarely works. I have tried multiple networks with the same result.      #3 My phone has become generally slow especially for safari and mail. On wifi, they dont work at all. on 3G, and LTE, the phone has also become very slow and often won't load at all. As stated above, restoring used do fix everything but that fix has become very short term, and often hasn't been working at all. Can someone help me?

Accurate data app iphone 3G

I'm new to the iphone; I switched from android.  I'm trying to find a data app similar to what I used on my old phone.  It would show me the data amount, allow me to put in the data limit and start date.  It would also show me the apps that were using the data.  The app was Onavo count I think.  I tried the iphone version and its not  the same.  It wants me to set up a VPN?-is that safe?  I just want a good data app that is accurate and allows me put in my data limit and start date -bill cycle date.  Is there an app free or paid; free hopefully that will do that? Thank you for your help.

How I sync apps from same iTunes account to an iphone 3G and an iphone 4S and keep correct version for each iOS

I have an old 3G as well as a 4S. Initially I set up a separate iTunes account for the 4S as I was worried I'd lose my old apps for 3G (as older, compatible versions aren't kept in the iTunes store so once they're gone, they're gone...). 3G is set up to sync with iTunes, 4S is inly syncing mail and conatcts through Exchange but hasn't been synced with an iTunes library for the reason above. Is there a way to sync both phones off the same iTunes account, so I can set up each phone with some music, as well as apps, without iOS 5 versions overwriting the exisitng apps for the 3G? To complicate things further, I don't want to sync photos, contacts, messages, etc. I just want to avoid having to duplicate all my music and pay for all the apps all over again.
