iphone app updates frozen in waiting-what to try next

Hi, I tried to update 3 apps on iPhone 5 about a week ago. They got 'stuck' while updating, and now are permanently frozen showing a greyed out icon, and saying the status as 'installing.'  I have tried everything and need more suggestions.This is what I have tried:Restoring - no changeLogging off iTunes account, pressing home and lock button til apple icon appears, then logging back in - this changes the status to 'waiting' but it's still frozenHolding down icon to delete - it doesn't have cross above these 3 affected appsGone into -> General -> Usage -> then selected each affected app and Deleted them - no changePlugged into PC and synced, then tried removing apps and installing again - the icons aren't removed when I remove, but when I install them again, it does kickstart the icon to change to 'loading', but then it returns to 'installing' and is still frozenAdding a new app/ installing updates for other apps to check to see if iTunes account works - yes they added/ updated fineCalling Apple tech support. The guy was really nice and helpful, but his advice didn't work (as above.)  He told me to contact the iTunes account support, and ask them to delete the apps from my purchase history and then try re-installing themContacting the ITunes account support - they emailed me back, and advised me that they checked my download queue and "updates of these three apps are not there." (?) So they gave me the advice to do as above. He also sent me to this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 which at the last step says "If you continue to experience the issue, contact the developer of the application for further assistance."  Now, my issue is: How the heck do I contact the developer, and will this help, when it seems to clearly be an iPhone problem? Should I give up and take the phone into an Apple store? Any other suggestions will help.  Cheers.

Why are my notification on my iphone 5 so horrible

My iphone 5 has always been horrible in receiving any notification. I get no notification from any application or even the stock application. This is frustrating when I need these notification for my user experience. This mainly has to do with notification coming on my lock-screen. facebook, instragram, and many other application gives no notification on my lockscreen and no sound to indicate any news. This is a problem that I've experience for a long time and its very bothering to see no notification pop up or sound. I've used to really enjoy apple before this issue. I used to believe it was just software issues but after the many updates, nothing was done to change this problem. At this point I am not satisfied with the product and how it performs.

iPhone 5 won't wake up from sleepstandby

Hello, I am having a really strange problem with my iphone 5 for last 3-4 months. Sometime when i want to use my iphone from standby/sleep mode it dosent do anything! sleep/wake button, home button even silent/sound button dosent work. I know the silent/sound button dosen't work cause normally it vibrate when I turn it on. So the problem is my phone wont wake up from sleep/standby mode. The screen stays black and nothing works. If i press the home button and power button for 10-15 time very quickly, then it takes a screen shot and wakes up!! Sometime it stays in this stage for 5-10min. So here is what i did to solve the problem.1. I restore the phone from phone and ituens.2. I delete all icloud backup and started as a new phone3. I went to apple store and replace the phone with a new one!!4. I jailbreak it at last to see if it solve the problem!5. turn off the icloud to see if it works And sadly nothing of all this solved my problem! Now im not sure any specific app causing the problem but it almost impossible to find it out. So if anyone have any similar problem or any suggestion to solve it, then it will be really helpful.

Hello Everyone Who loves Apple most I DO Anyway I would like to make this chat about the iPhone 5 like for tips and tricks and stuff like that but first of all... How do you save battey life. I close all the apps in the multitasking bar, turn the brightness down to 50%, turn the weather and stocks widget off, set the nonifications I want to reminde me, and I also, turn off WiFi and 3G when not using it but my BATTERY STILL GOES TO QUICKLY! I have gone through all of the steps to try to upload my Iphone 3 to an iOS5 so that I can load google, facebook etc.  The phone says it is at 4.2.1 and that is the latest software available.  Before I did the original update the phone had all those apps.  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Backup Issues Deleting Other Files iPhone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. With it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

Sms new compose sms already have text in it iPhone 5

Iphone 5 / factory unlocked / USA purchase..  Whenever i compose a new message (SMS), i already have a text (one of the previous sms that i hv sent to someone) there in the message box. I have tried resending the same to myself and other numbers and it gets delivered aswell. But what is annoying is everytime i have to compose a new message and click on icon on top right corner in message app to create a new sms// i have the text alrdy in my typing box and have to select all and delete it.  And when i click on any previous conversations with my contacts and reply them this problem does not exist. This is only when i click new message compose icon or have to start a new conversation with someone. To me it seems as if some kinda signature is added in SMS but i couldnt find any option for the same. Please advice !!

Hi there! There are troubles with facebook Push notifications on my two iPhones 4 (iOS 6.1.2) and 4S (iOS6.1.3) and on my Macbook Pro 15 (OS X 10.8.3). There are no any push notifications about new messages or "likes" by integrated facebook App and by facebook app prom iTunes too. I have notifications in notification center about statuss updates and comments, but sounds there are no at all. Everything in settings are switched on:-Settings/facebook-Settings/Notifications/facebook-facebook/Account Settings/Notifications/Mobile Push I have done anything i can. Signed Out from all apps, deleted facebook App, swithed off and then swithed on notifications, Signed In again and again. What can i do to solve this problem? I realy need notifications about messages on iOS and OS X.

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

When my iphone sits in silent mode, sometimes it spontaneously vibrates with no notification. There's nothing that shows any notification for mail, facebook, twitter etc. Anyone else having this happen to them??

Have G4, downloaded photos and videos to Windows 7 Ultimate PC.  Photos and videos showed up in an ipod Photo Cache file with a Photo Database and .ithmb files.  I am looking for a "reliable" .ithmb converter to jpg, and likewise for the video format. TY:)

iPhone images won t restore after phone reset

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me as my wife's iPhone completely froze up after synching with the latest version of iTunes. In the end, the only thing she could do was re-set the iPhone, thereby of course losing everything. Reconnecting to her laptop restored music and most apps, it seems she has to re-download the other apps again direct to the phone. Now the problem is images. There is an ipod cache directory on the laptop Pictures directory, and in this are folders labelled F00, F01 etc.. and a "Photo Database" file. In each of the Fnn directories is a series of files, called Txxx.ithmb, each of which is about 1,500KB. Doing a backup from the laptop indicates there are about 2900 files overall.Altogether there is about 3GB in this folder, so it looks to be a lot of space.  Pointing iTunes to the directory containing all this and synching, still results in zero images being found. She went to the local Apple store for help, to be told these are not the images, but then elsewhere I have read that these are the full files, and this proprietary format contains three different resolution images. If the images taken on the iPhone are not here, where are they? Finally, how on earth do we convince iTunes to recognize these files and imporrt them again? Sorry to be thick but losing everything thanks to the latest iTunes was rather catastrophic! Any help/ideas/suggestions greatfully received... The photo files were a mix of photos taken on the iPhone and images previously uploaded from the laptop. Cheers Chipontheroad

My iphone has literally no storage left, when I plugged it into Itunes it said 10.9 GB were occupied by "other" what is other? i have 6 apps, no music, and 32 pictures and my storage is almost full. I'm wondering if anyone has come across the same problem as me and I don't know what to do to fix it. I had to delete basically everything off my phone because of the 10.9 GB other is taking up. I recently purchased an iPhone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. How to remove Quota limit reached iPhone 3G

In my notes, everytime I edit a note, this notification pops up as "Quota - Quota limit reached." and then deletes the current note I'm editing. This is rather frustrating, because I do have some important notes and everytime I go to use it they get deleted after this notification pops up. I did go through my notes and delete a bunch, but there are less that 15 notes and as you can see in the photo this account has 3 and I've definitely had way more in the past. Does the Quota extend to other applications as well?Thanks for the input!

My iphone 5 loses battery extremely fast

Ok so my iPhone is pretty new I got it like a few weeks ago. It was fine at first but now it loses battery super quick. I charge it over night and in the morning when I unplug it I literally lose a percent immediately and then I check facebook for a bit and it goes down to 95-93%.Is this happening to anyone else? What do I do about it? I'm running on IOS 6.1.4 and have about 7GB left from my 32GB capacity.

Viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iPhone 3G

Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! Thanks in advance &cu,-udo

after getting a new iPhone 4s I did a sync with my computer to get my contacts and pics back on my phone. after the sync, there are pics on my phone I want to delete but I can't delete them. Some of the pics were never on my phone but were on my computer. There is no trash barrel or any options to be able to delete them when I click on them.

I do not so much have a question, but a statement:  I did the upgrade to iOS 6 last night.  I had to delete a lot of apps to make room for the upgrade and did a small icloud back up to save space.  But, after waiting and seeing the upgrade time kept going up and up, I just went to bed.  Woke up in the middle of the Night to check and my phone said to connect to iTunes.  When I did, it told me I had to restore my phone.  So I had no choice because, it would not leave the connect to iTunes message on my screen otherwise.  This is a horrible glitch!

facebook App in Settings iPhone 3G

Hi there, I'm trying to remove the facebook app from my iPhone5. I've held down the icon til it wiggles, pressed the X, deleted it. I've deleted it from my iTunes library. I've resynced my phone and it's not showing up and not mysteriously reinstalling on my phone (which it did a couple of times) which is great. I then go into my Settings folder on my phone, scroll down the bottom and find it there with Twitter. I click on it and it appears to be an install app for facebook - Install, Learn More, Sign In etc....  How do I get rid of it completely? As in: I don't want anything facebook on my phone. Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothing. No facebook. Is this possible or is there now some deal whereby facebook is now intrinsically tied with my iPhone5 and there's nothing to be done about it? I'm sorry if there's already been something about this but I really couldn't find it (or I didn't realise what I was looking at).  :- Cheers for the help.

I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.
