Maps no longer giving transit instructions iphone 3G
I am very disappointed to find that I can no longer use my iphone to find public transit instructions using maps. This was my go-to method of independent travel. Now that I've moved to a city I just found out that maps no longer will find me busses! I now have had to do research into apps, and use a combination of two apps as well as the metro system website to figure out a simple trip. What used to be one step has turned into many steps. What was apple thinking with this change????? I'm living in Seattle and so far have not found an app that performs all the functions of the old iphone maps.

I recently wiped my iphone and when I went through the process to set up, right after selecting a Wi-Fi network, I got a SIM Not Valid screen like the below. I am on AT&T and my phone has never been unlocked, hacked or jailbroken. I've replaced 3 phones as everytime I tried to reinstall software this happened. I got a new sim. No change. Tested my sim in another phone - it work. Tested working SIM in my iphone - SIM Not Valid message still. Does anyone have an idea why this happens after a wipe and resetting the phone?

Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iphone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iphone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iphone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. I recently bought a new iphone 4s from Virgin mobile, and have cracked the back glass. I purchased the warranty that covers broken glass and cracked screens and whatnot, but my boyfirend knows how to change the glass professionally, and it would be less of a hassle for him to do it then for apple to send me a whole new phone. iphone turning off rebooting while charging iphone 4S
Hi everyone. I actually have a few issues with my iphone and I have tried various things to fix these problems. Yes, I have connected to iTunes through my computer and have download and restored it twice in as many days. Ok, the first one is the touch screen is unresponsive and/or behaves erratically, like it has to think about what it has to do. Secondly, when it is connected to my computer or either one of my chargers, the phone keeps shutting down and rebooting about 15 or so minutes, and the battery percentage level meter doesn't change either. All this started happening at the same time. I was running a battery boost type app which I have since deleted but still no luck, so am I guessing right if its all battery related? Any help, thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated as like many others here, our phones are our life.

Some times ago i replaced in apple care from an apple store an iphone 5. Recently my phone ( the one replaced ) was stolen. I would like to lock at the police dept of my town, but they need the imei of the iphone stolen. In support profile there are all my apple products but not my iphone 5, ( no iphone 5 at all, the original one and the replaced one) and on the box there's the imei of the original iphone 5 . How i can do to retrieve imei of the replaced iphone ? i don't have anymore the receipt from the apple store; they have in their computer my repair request with this information i need ?

I received an unlocked iphone 4s as a christmas gift from the US. (I live in the Philippines.) When I got it it was still in its original plastic and sealed. I have recently had trouble with it (Updated ios, got the battery glitch, did the forum repairs, got the recovery mode errors, did the Apple Support KB tips, got error 40 and 1601, now just want to wipe the phone completely.) and am trying to see if a repair is possible. 1) Philippine service centers won't touch it, because it is not an "in-country" purchased phone, and is out of warranty. That's fine, I get that.2) When going to the self-help site, there is an "imei checker" when trying to submit a ticket. I punched in the imei found on the outside of the box, and it shows that the phone has been replaced.3) It's never been replaced. Ever. I had never even brought it in for repair in any store, in any country, until yesterday, to an accredited shop. My questions are:1) Is it possible that this is an error?2) What possible recourses are there for me for repair? I'd like to avoid sending the brick back to the States and then pay a kidney for a repair/replace. (Might as well get another phone!)

Since I updated my iphone 5 to the latest iOS version 6.1.4 (10B350), I have experienced several ongoing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. Is anyone else experiencing issues? For example, I can no longer get a stable wireless connection from my bedroom or bathroom in my flat, whereas I previously had full strength and access to the internet. I have checked with my ISP and there are no issues with broadband in my (small!) flat and my wireless router is working perfectly. The wireless connection drops occasionally, both in my flat when I am connected and also when I am out and about. This change immediately happened once I updated my iOS to the new version 6.1.4 (10B350). Any thoughts?

I recently purchased a macbook air and synced the iphone 5 to it. It synced and all the music that was on my phone is now on my mac. However, when i download new music, it won't let me drag and drop or right click to press "add to". That option also doesn't appear, whether i purchased a song or not. The songs im trying to add aren't purchased from itunes and i downloaded them from a youtube converter.
