My camera frozen iphone 4

Have tried restore on iTunes and restore to new on phone.   The issue is not changing even with that.  Happened about a month ago and haven't been able to get it to work since. As soon as I click on camera, whatever the camera is facing is what it is frozen on.   Sometimes the shutter won't even open and the video does not work either.  None of the apps that you can take a picture with work either like Instagram, pict stich etc. Not sure what else to do. seberia8

Error 9 Very Common iphone 4S

with my iphone, it seems to be that whenever i plug it in it asks for a Itunes, which i have got, and it gets put into Restoration Mode, so i click Restore and it extracts the software but it doesn't install it onto the iphone but calls it Error 9, is there anyway of getting rid of it, ive tried it with other laptops and USB cords but it doesn't seem to work:/Please help:P -Ben

Camera app doesn t work iphone 3G

I got my first iphone as a gift the other day (32GB iphone 5 from Verizon). However, the camera app on it does not work. When I launch it, either the closed shutter is displayed, or the screen is completely black and none of the "buttons" (i. e. Options and switching between front and rear cameras) work. I have tried completely closing out of the app and doing a restore of my iphone through iTunes, but it still does not work. I have a case, but the lens is completely visible. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I have an iphone 5 that was newly "remodeled" for tmobile. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my battery after a recent decline in performance. I am updated to the latest iOS and I recently restored all of my settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery performance, leaving only wifi on location for weather. with my current usage and standby, do I have something to be concerned about? I know some individuals that have my usage and will have a standby time of over a day. Advice and opinions is very much appreciated.

iphone 5 battery phone suddelny switches of at 15

Hi people, I have an iphone 5 64 GB and of course all the newest software. In the recent days, it happened twice to me that the phone would suddenly switch of at around 13-15% battery! When I try to turn it on immedietaley, i will get the "empty battery"-symbol. However, after waiting for some 20-30 minutes, when i turn it on again, it will just work and display a battery of around 13-15% again. Very strange. Never had this behaviour at iphone 4 or 4s Any ideas? thanks

WiFi iphone 4

Ok so here's the deal.  At work I barely get one bar on our wireless network, but at home I of course have full signal.  At work I turn off the wifi because at that weak of a signal, it takes forever to send email or a picture on my phone. So I switch to the cellular network, and bam it goes fast.   But then when I get home I want it on the WiFi and keep forgetting to turn it on.  So my question is (without Jailbreaking) hasn't someone come up with an app that will set timers for wifi to turn on and off?  That seems like one that should have been out in the first year of Apps? 

iphone 5 won't wake up from sleepstandby

Hello, I am having a really strange problem with my iphone 5 for last 3-4 months. Sometime when i want to use my iphone from standby/sleep mode it dosent do anything! sleep/wake button, home button even silent/sound button dosent work. I know the silent/sound button dosen't work cause normally it vibrate when I turn it on. So the problem is my phone wont wake up from sleep/standby mode. The screen stays black and nothing works. If i press the home button and power button for 10-15 time very quickly, then it takes a screen shot and wakes up!! Sometime it stays in this stage for 5-10min. So here is what i did to solve the problem.1. I restore the phone from phone and ituens.2. I delete all icloud backup and started as a new phone3. I went to apple store and replace the phone with a new one!!4. I jailbreak it at last to see if it solve the problem!5. turn off the icloud to see if it works And sadly nothing of all this solved my problem! Now im not sure any specific app causing the problem but it almost impossible to find it out. So if anyone have any similar problem or any suggestion to solve it, then it will be really helpful.

Hi, I am new to this forum so i apologise in advance for not following any rules thats set. I have a iphone 5, 16 GB for 6 months and for the past month or so i've been having issues with the microphone.     1. During a call if i want to use loudspeaker the mic cuts out so the person on the other end can not hear what i am saying, yet while during a call off loudspeaker          they can hear me fine.     2. Siri can not detect anything i say or any noise what so ever when i try to use siri, but can when using a headset.     3. When trying to use voice to text in messages no speech is detected. When using a headset under all three of these, they work fine, calling someone works fine aslong as i don't use loudspeaker.i have tried to restore the phone to see if this corrects the problems but no luck. The firmware version is 6.1.4, on EE 4G. Any help with this is appriciated. Tyler.

iphone 4s slider mechanism

i have an iphone 4s , of course the warranty expired a little over a month ago. The slider mechanism does not work. I've tried turning the phone on and off, restored to factory settings. nothing seems to work. I've never dropped the phone or had any kind of water damage. I've  taken the phone to the Apple store. They have opened it , No damage has been done to it whatsoever but they won't replace it unless I pay $200.00 , which I can't afford right now. very frustrated. Any other suggestions?

Water under iphone 4s screen iphone 5

My iphone was completely submerged in water last night. I put it in rice. Everything seems to work properly. But there is what appears to be water under the iphone screen. In the very middle of the water, it is blue. What does thar mean? Will it go away? Can I help make it go away? Will my Apple insurance plan cover this? Please help!!

Dropped iphone 4 in to toilet but hear me out

I dropped my phone into the toilet. I got it out as quickly as possible, but it did get submerged. When I got it out, the screen turned on by itself, but I didn't think much of it, and I stuck it in rice for a few hours. When I went to check on it, it seemed fine, as the screen turned on and all the buttons seemed to be working, other than being slightly laggy. The volume buttons worked, but the didn't seem to do anything to the volume. The speakers worked as well, and even the vibrating part did. the lagging didn't get any better though, so I decided to see if reseting it would work. It turned off fine, and the apple symbol came up, but that was where it stopped, and it now will not turn on. I checked the LCI in the headphone jack and the charging slot, and the one in the headphone jack has a tiny pinkish-red dot, and the one in the charging slot doesn't look red at all. I stuck it back into the rice just in case. Can anybody help with my situation?Just some info, up until I put my phone into the rice the first time, I was mostly in full panic mode, and even after I put it in the rice, I kept checking to see if it worked by pressing the sleep button. I'm pretty sure I did everything I'm not supposed to do, but what can I say?

Water Damage iphone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iphone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iphone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. with no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iphone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iphone 4S when the next generation iphone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Take your time to write a thoughtful comment on a video, hit send, and it's gone, "youtube is not available". It happens frequently on the iphone app yet never happens on the desktop site. This bug has followed the youtube app across multiple phones (OG & 3G), multiple OS updates, and still happens randomly. Not having a feature is better than one that frequently doesn't work, and frustrates, as well as wastes your time...I'm so ready to checkout the latest from HTC  I copied this question from an archived thread from 2009. I'm having the same issue. I comment on YouTube a couple of times and it's fine, the third time it completely blocks me. It's very frustrating. Looking at the replies from 4 years ago it seems that its definitely the app that has the issue, not the main website. I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

Hi, I bought factory unlocked iphone 5 from US in Dec 2012. I came back to India few days ago and accidently iphone's screen got damaged.The phone is under limited hardware warranty with no extra apple care plan. 'search' has broken 6.1.4 iphone 5

Has anyone noticed that since the last couple of updates (6.1.3 and 6.1.4) the search feature on the iphone doesn't work. You can search ok but when you press what you're looking for is puts you at the end of the message without going to the area you need. Apple please fix it. Sooo annoying.

iphone 4s turning off every minute

My iphone is turning itself off every minute.  I've tried a reset while hooked to a computer and it doesnt even give it enough time to complete the reset before it shuts down again.  Keep getting error messages or looses the connection. Hard reboot doesnt work either.  Please help

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

Canadian iphone 5 in UK

Hello, I bought an iphone 5 from the Canadian Apple store a few months back. I have just got back to the UK and inserted my UK sim card. I'm on Giff Gaff (O2) I can still make and recieve calls and texts. But most of my apps aren't working. Nor are any of my browsers. imessage still works over 3G so i dont understand why my apps and safari arent sending or redceiveing data. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance, Tom

I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone  because I am not the original contract owner. I have an iphone 3g and my wifi wasn't working at all! The wifi button wasn't working like I couldn't press it at all, so my brother told me to erase my iphone. I backed it up and erased my iphone, it didn't work so he told me to jailbreak it because he thought maybe since my iphone was originally jailbroken it might just need it to be jailbroken again. My iphone 5 battery drains a lot. After 42 minutes of usage, and 5 hours of standby it drops to 89%. I'm just wondering if thats normal. iOS 6.1.4 Overheating High Battery Consumption iphone 5

Having issues with iOS 6.1.4 heating up (in standby) and high battery consumption in standby. It's not consistant but I will, sporatically, notice my phone warming up, in my pocket, to pull it out, turn the screen on and then off again and it'll cool down.Battery consumption is also very high (worse than iOS 6.1 update issue) and is drained quickly. I've closed all active applications (but mail and calendar as I need for work) and still will occur.

Folks, I am getting confusing information from various sources.According to the service I am using for factory unlocking my iphone 5, as soon as I unlock my phone I will be able to use it on all GSM networks, except the original ATT. This is contrary to all the previous unlocks I have ever done on any phone. What is the reason why my phone will no longer work on ATT, if true? Can APPLE or ATT help me get it back on ATT network once I no longer need to use it overseas? Thank you for your help.
