I have a truecaller app but it don't show names for unsaved no. When they calls as I was used in samsung for example and when I asked the apps co. They told me that apple don't allow them to do..so please could u guys manage this

New iOS update froze my phone and I had to restore my phone. iPhone 5

I try to avoid updates on my iPhone because it's either hit or miss and after the latest update that was released a couple days ago, my worst fear happened.  It updated then I left it alone to update.  After over an hour I come back and the "connect to iTunes" image appeared and nothing worked.  Once iTunes was restarted it said I needed to restore my phone to factory settings. This is ridiculous and very frustrating.  I'm not going to lie, several of my friends have samsung Galaxy S3's or Notes and they seem way more verstitle and reliable then my iphone.  Any suggestions?

iPhone 4s battery meter unsolved mystery

I have an iPhone 4S. In January, I started to notice that it would die at 30-40%. Gradually, it started to stay stuck at 100% almost all day then die around 60-70%. Then it went completely bonkers. It would go from full charge to 15% to 0% in minutes. Plug it in and it would go from 0% to fully charged instantly. I took it to Genius Bar, diagnostics showed the battery was fine and they told me to restore it and set it up as a new phone. That didn't solve the problem. Went back that day and this time, the diagnostics showed the battery was bad so they replaced it. It worked normally for a little bit before it started doing the same thing again. So I took it back and they replaced the phone. After a few weeks, the same thing happened with the new phone... stuck at 100% for a long time, dies at ~70% (keep in mind I set it up as a new phone so rule out any software issues from a previous backup of the original phone). At this point, I'm thinking it's a faulty charger or something that's screwing up the hardware. So I was back in the Apple Store again. They replicated the problem and told me to restore the phone and set it up as a new device. Having been through this before, I asked them to restore it right then and there because I knew it wasn't going to fix it. Sure enough, it happened after the restore. So they replaced the phone again. That was three weeks ago. I started using a completely different charger (Apple charger, not third-party) and even changed outlets, but the new phone is doing the same thing again. Over the weekend it died at 48%, then 50%, now 56%. I don't know what to do anymore. I can probably go get the phone replaced again, but it probably won't make a difference. Any suggestions? I've done several hard resets, tried to calibrate the battery, let it run out completely and sit there for a couple hours before plugging it back in...nothing works.

VZW iPhone 5 will not pick up LTE when s removed and put into Galaxy Nexus then back into iPhone 5

I have a VZW iPhone 5 activated as my main phone, I also have a VZW samsung Galaxy Nexus that I use a sim adapter and swap the sim to. When I swap the sim from the iPhone 5 to the Galaxy Nexus for a day or so then back to the iPhone 5, I cant pickup LTE signal, it just stay at 3G. Although if I put the sim back in the Galaxy Nexus it still picks up LTE. The only way i can get the LTE back on my iPhone 5 is by going into VZW and getting a new sim card activated, in return kills my old sim card. Any ideas or help?? My i-phone 4s has WIFI greyed out since installing iOS 6 i called APPLE australia and they told me i was 83 days out of warranty and i have to pay 250. this was on 24th of april man on phone then told me i might have to jailbreak

the man on the phone told me to jailbreak my iphone so i could get iOS 5 back.. but by jailbreaking a phone you lose the warranty anyway... considering this is apple's fault (iOS 6 has ruined my 4s capability to connect to wifi) ( and my girlfriend has as 4s on iOS 5 and that still connects fine ) i think they should be doing more i am a long time apple customer but i think this has made me want to swap back to being a windows user and maybe getting the samsung or HTC

I just purchased the iPhone 5 coming from a samsung Galaxy S3. Where I work, I do not receive cell phone service so I rely heavily on the WiFi to receive emails and iMessages.  I've noticed that if the phone sits for a few minutes, the wireless will shut itself off and as soon as I press the home or power button, the wireless kicks in and I get a flood of iMessages and an e-mail chime.  On the samsung, there was an option to keep the wireless on all the time and my question is: Is there a way to keep the phone connected to a WiFi connection all the time so I don't get a delay in messages and emails? I know battery life will suffer and that isn't an issue to me. I just need it to stay connected so I'm not replying to messages 2 hours later when I pick up the phone.  Thanks,

Ridiculous store iPhone 4S

I got my very first iPhone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iPhone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! This is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(

Move from samsung to iPhone keep my number iPhone 4S

I currently have a several year old samsung Flyte phone. I am included with my wife's account under the AT&T family plan. My "line" has no data plan linked to it - her iPhone 4S and her sister's iPhone 3 do. The contract with AT&T for my phone/line expired several months ago. I'm thinking about upgrading to an iPhone 4, but I don't want to give up my existing phone number. And, I understand that the iPhone uses a micro SIM card - different that other manufacturer's phones.  I'm pretty sure that I'll need to add a data plan to my "line" - not a big deal. Ideally, we want to add another line to the wife's plan (without data) and give the samsung phone to her mom, who lives with us. But, I do not want to loose my phone number. We want my new iPhone to have my existing phone number and the samsung for her mom to have a new number. Is this possible?

I have 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora icon on screen. I was told to connect my iphone 5 with USB port and worked. But as soon as I disconnected Pandora went out on screen. Only works plugged in now. Should work without USB connected.

I have a 2013 Buick Enclave with Pandora and Stitcher on the nav screen. With my samsung S3, Pandora automatically lit up and worked. with new iphone5, I was told I need to connect USB port to car and phone and start Pandora. That worked and the icon on screen lit up. but as soon as I removed the USB cord, Pandora and Stitcher greyed out and stopped working. I know it's supposed to work on the car's nav screen once I hardwire it (at least that's what I was told), but as soon as I disconnect, they stop working through the car.  How can I install Pandora and Stitcher on my car WITHOUT having the usb cord attached? the idea is to be able to use the car's touch screen to control Pandora, but with the phone plugged into the USB port, I can only use the phone to control Pandora, which of course is dangerous when driving!  And it worked correctly with the samsung, so I have to believe it can work with the iphone 5! Right?  Thanks.

How I sync iphone to new computer iPhone 5

I purchased a new samsung laptop with windows 8.  I have an iphone 5 and Im trying to sync the two.  I deleted itunes from my old computer b/c my assistant was taking it over.  When I check anything in itunes it give me a message that itunes will over ride my iphone with what is on the computer, which is nothing.  I cannot figure out how to do this without deleting everything.  Please  help.  Thanks.

Since the ios6.0 update, deleted contacts can't be deleted from the new message case. It is amazing that more people are not aware of the problem and are speaking out about it. As a professor, I have new students whose contacts I input into my iPhone each semester after sending a text mail the contact cannot be deleted from the "new message" cashe. It can be deleted from contacts but remains in the cashe. The only way to delete the cashe is a full restore. Resetting does not even work. Restoring is a horrible way to delete contacts permanently. I have contacted Apple repeatedly. They are aware of the problem but do not seem to be concerned. With each update, I expect the bug to be fixed. I hope to get the attention of samsung with this. I know they could create another embarrassing ad campaign and Apple will resolve the issue in seconds. Apple is not the great company it used to be.

Please help me I need problem fixed now iPhone 5

Being the young tech savvy kid I jumped straight in for the iPhone 5 and frankly was quite excited and amazed but later annoyed my charger and cable were perfectly fine when taking out of box but a couple of weeks later I had problems my iPhone would charge for about 2-3% but then stop and wouldn't start for about 2 mins, I would take it out and then putting it back in but the it just doesn't charge I have the latest software iOS 6.1.3 and thought that would fix it( thinking it was software glitch like many other glitches I've had) but it didn't quite frankly I am definitely thinking of a samsung s4 as they promise more for less and dont have same problem also I am a dedicated customer and have a iMac desktop, a mackbook pro retina and a iPad mini and the Genius Bar me too wait for 2 weeks until they can get to me and that is public holiday so in theory it's about 2 1/2 weeks and I probably need a new cable but am not keen on getting new lightning cable for $30 thank you and hope u can give me answers to my problem soon thnx

Iphone 4s running hot

Hi I have an Iphone 4s running hot, I have followed the process's on here (backup and restore) and starting a fresh on the phone and still have the same issue.  I have taken it to a local mobile phone dealer who has changed my battery and it still has the same issue, my battery is running hot like an application is constantly running.  I am now booked into the Apple store next week Monday.  I wanted to know, will this invalidate my warranty if I tell them I have changed the battery as I assumed it was a battery issue. It was changed by an approved phone dealership who is an accredited company for Nokia and samsung and also do Iphone repairs/replacement.  I don't want to walk in there and them assuming the battery has been changed so they wont touch the phone now and say it is my fault.  Thanks

Brand new iPhone 5 replacement to my old iphone 4 battery life sucks earpod volume too low during music

After a series of complaints and refurbished replacements of my iphone 4 for its home button issue, apple agreed upon giving me an iphone 5 - box packed and brand new. I was super excited that apple finally took responsibility and just then i had 2 bad experiences with my iphone 5 in less than 48 hours of use!  1st - the music volume on the ear pods is extremely low even on full volume. Have checked the volume limit, have verified there is no EU limit, have restored the phone as new! 2nd - the battery life *****! Like i said i have restored the phone a new. There have already been 3 updates to ios 6 and its high time this got solved. In less than 2 days i have charged my phone 3 times. I have listened to music on it for less than an hour so far, about 2 hours of calls on 3g, there is no LTE over here, and finally about 3 hours of facebook and whats app in past two days. Offcourse about 5  or so pictures i took to test the camera.  Today i unplugged the phone at about 8 am. Its 3:25 and the battery is dead!!! Can u believe it, they shipped this unit from singapore and i waited for it for nearly 20 days. And in less than 2 days i hate it! I am gonna re calibrate the battery this time and come back here and post what happens.  Till then, can someone tell me how can i make this thing sound the way it should. I can't connect my iPhone 5 to my WIFI.

I bought my iPhone 5 32Gb from the Apple Store in Hong Kong and had it shipped to the Philippines where I currently reside. I've read some issues regarding the iPhone 5 not being able to connect to the internet and having a very weak wifi range. I've dealt with the weak wifi range already but my problem now is:  I accidentally pressed "Forget Network" (home wifi) at home and now I can't seem to connect again. My MacBook Pro, iPad and samsung S3 have absolutely no problem with connecting to the internet and it's just my iPhone 5 with the issues.  I've tried Resetting everything but still cannot connect to my Wifi. It just keeps on saying "Incorrect Password" though I'm 100% sure that it is since all my other devices are working perfectly.  Please help me.  Thank you in advance guys!

After your latest update my battery drains faster that flash going around the world 8k times. I refuse to change my settings because this expensive telephone is supposed to be the best telephone in the market. I didn't buy an expensive device to keep its functionality at its 50% by disabling everything where the purpose of a smartphone is to be useful and smart. I bought this phone expecting to have a good experience and exploit every aspect of this to its fullest. On the other hand, samsung seems to treat their costumers as deserved ( friends are really happy with their Galaxy). Better get a solution because I am not only one frustrated and wanting to go over  your competition. Thanks,A frustrated costumer

iOS 6.1.2 not fix battery drain iPhone 3G

How do I know? Because I did not upgrade to 6.1.1, but rather waited for 6.1.2 so I could improve cell reception without battery drain. No such luck. My battery was great before without 6.1.1, and now with 6.1.2? 3hrs after charge to 100% I am at 24%. Previously I could go all day before getting to this point. APPLE YOU LIED! The update said fixes battery drain--not creates it! samsung here I come!

After updating iphone 4g to 6.0 phone cannot find wifi.

I recently updated to 6.0 on my iphone 4g.   Since having updated my 4g cannot find any Wi-Fi signals. My wife's 4s is having no problem with our network.   My 4g will not pick up known networks when typed in.   I have Reset Network Settings and I have Reset All Settings.   Nothing has solved the problem.   I am going to go purchase a samsung Galaxy III if there is no solution by the time I head to AT&T tomorrow at lunch.   I am disgusted by Apple updates. My wife previously had the iphone 4g and after an update it stopped turning on. AT&T had to upgrade her to resolve the problem. This is the second time we have had issues that render our iphones obsolete-- no more, enough is enough.

How can i connect two iphone s using bluetooth

I am trying to connect a iPhone 3 with an iPhone 4 using bluetooth so I can use the IP3 as a personal hotspot using a New Zealand prepaid Skinny sim (the IP4 has an Australian sim). I have paired the IP3 with my MacBook Pro and a samsung Galaxy using bluetooth and it works well as a hotspot. However the two iPhones can't discover each other ... is there a workaraound, eg an app that can enhance the very basic functionality provided by Apple? The phones are running iOS 6.0  and iOS6.1 respectively.

iphone screen unresponsive iPhone 5

Iphone 5 screen is repeatedly unresponsive at the edges. This has ruined my enjoyment of this device. I cannot play my games properly at all.  The first iPhone 5 I obtained  through contract I went straight to Apple store complained and had it replaced only to discover exactly the same problem manifest in the device. If you try to slide the screen with icons below the level of the last row of icons it doesnt respond. This has contributed to the Iphone share price demise. Together with MAPS its simply unnaceptable that a company with billions of Dollars in cash could not implement proper maps OR  mis the production checking for the less respnsibve screen.  People have come to reply on these devices it is poor shoddy work to implement this slackness in a product that led the world so wonderfully in previous versions, now look.. samsung have caught up and  are now the biggest phone maker in the world. That is not something Steve Jobs would have acepted.

wi fi hardware problem iPhone 5

Ive personally come to the conclusion that the constant wifi problems (slow speed, dropping out, constantly having to enter wifi pasword) with the iphone 5 are a hardware fault and not  simply a problem that can be fixed with a update. Ive had two iphone 5s which have both shown these symptoms, tried multiple routers (changed settings on these), changed the DNS, updated to the newest version of ios which was supposed to address these issues, tried on my friends routers with no avail. Personally I've had enough and just wanted too see if this is a major issue affecting others and if this has changed their opinion on the iphone, personally this will be my last because of this issue and will order the new samsung S4 if/when released. Iphone 5 anyone??

iphone 5 brightness not working at all on IOs 6.0.2

i had my iphone 5 for three weeks now and i just noticed that my screen brightness doesnt change at allniether manually and nor automatici tried to calibrate it using the automatic in the dark then revealing it to the light.. tried soft reset and hard reset.. but my brightness wont go down.. its the maximum even when i put the slider to the farest left. .. im hoping its not a hardware defect..please help..

Ye Olde question of overcharging iPhone 5

So I finally took the jump and switch from android (my old samsung Infuse) to a beautiful and amazing iPhone 5 - my experience thus far as been amazing and I can honestly say Apple has made a believer out of me - HOWEVER, all this Li-Ion battery guff has got me very paranoid. I must admit, like most android users, I was laxidasical with charging my android because I knew if the battery ever went belly-up, I could just swing over to my local AT&T store and pick up a new battery for $25, no problem. Now with the iPhone, thats a different story entirely.  I know people have been arguing over this question since the era of Sodom and Gomorrah, but has any consensus been reached? - Is it okay to charge the iPhone 5, whenever I want to? - If it hits 100% should I unplug it, or is it safe to leave it there? - If I am spending a day at home (like a full 12 hour day) should I leave it plugged up? And for all those who answer "Unplug it after it hits 100%" won't that just waste the charge cycles? Can't you just keep it at 100%and only use a charge cycle when you need it? (I.E. go out) Sorry to be a stickler about this, but I am by no means a wealthy man and I wish to keep my shinies intact!  - Thank you

icon jiggles but i cannot remove it iPhone 4S

Apple told me to remove the camera after it jiggled, the little no entry sign did not appear therefor I could not remove my camera app. The camera does not work to the rear, sometimes the front facing camera will but sporadically, can i replace this phone for a samsung galaxy......never use apple again their crud

I recently got a new iphone 5 and for some reason I am having trouble connecting to other bluetooth devices. My iphone keeps telling me "this device is incompatible", while the other device perfectly connected to my iphone. This happened when I tried to connect my samsung solstice (older phone of 2 yrs) to transfer my pictures and even when I tried to connect a samsung rugby 3 (a phone that just came out 2 wks ago). Heck, when I tried to connect to another iphone 5, both iphones couldn't find each other. I have used bluetooth in the past, but I was surprised that my phone is giving me such a hard time. Is there a certain protocol that must be used to ensure proper connectivity? Thanks so much.

Unable to receive phone calls or texts iPhone 5

I ported my number 3 months ago to GiffGaff and ever since then when I put my sim into any iphone I can't recieve any phone calls. When I put the same sim into an samsung Galaxy S3 it works perfectly fine. I have gone back to GiffGaff and they have done everything they can, I don't think there is a problem with them, I think the problem lies with apple. When I go into Messages tab on my iPhone 5 it says "waiting for activation...."  Can someone please help me resolve the problem

4s failed wifi greyed out

Ok, so I just got off the chat session with US support regarding the ios 6.0.2 update that seemingly fixes the wifi issues.  But, there is aparently no plan to release the patch on any other device so when my dodgy wifi connectivity on my 4s totally dropped out today and now no longer allows me to enable wifi, It has to go back to the shop.   Yeah, replace the hardware for a software problem...  No guarentees that the problem won't happen again...  maybe it's time to ditch the 4s for a samsung....

IPhone 5 battery

OK; purchased an iPhone 5 64GB at end of October and battery was fine. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 a week later and battery life is now terrible, lasting barely half a day with minimal usage. Know all about switching items off, apps, etc. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 on my iPad 2 at the same time, and exactly same issue on overheating and poor battery life has occurred.You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what the cause is.What is Apple doing about it?If IOS 6.1 does not fix it then the only thing I can do is change to samsung tablet and phone - a silent protest but will hurt Apple financially.I can't believe they're not monitoring these discussions and working in a solution. I have 10 people who have all purchased samsung phones on the basis of my feedback on the IPhone 5 problem.Come on Apple - you're annoying long-time customers!

Bluetooth simply DOES NOT WORK.  I searches for devices, but never finds them.  Put it right next to MBAir, and the Air found the iP5 and tried to connect... only then did the iP5 show some sign of an attemp to connect... the sign was 'MB Air not supported on this device'... really..!! Tried a variety of things... turned BT off/on, turned Airplane Mode on/off, turned iP5 off/on, tried reset... nothing resolves the issue. Question is... is it a h/w problem or an iOS problem..? samsung is looking pretty good these days...  I am really starting to get tired of Apple bug issues, and planned obsolescence approach to shoaring up sales.

Had issues with WiFi on my iphone 5. Took it to store. They reset settings. Still WiFi not connect to at least 50 of networks I used to use with my iPhone 4. Also Siri just hangs and never responds. as frustrated as I am

Follow up to the group.  Has anyone downgraded to the 4s?  I may be forced to do that or go with the samsung. 

I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 with iTunes installed. Now my iPhone 4S no longer recognized in iTunes. Connecting with USB sends me directly to MS app downloads pictures from iPhone . Suggest this question of missing Apple driver.

I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 with iTunes installed. Now my iPhone 4S is no longer recognized in iTunes. Connecting the iPhone with USB sends me directly to the MS app that downloads pictures from the iPhone. Suggest this is a question of missing Apple driver for Windows 8, iTunes and iPhone. MS does not care! This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iPhone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with Outlook and my iTunes library.

iphone 4s screen problems

I am experiencing problems trying to play music. When I open the music icon and try to select a particular song to play or put it on shuffle it scrolls up and down non stop and out of control. Also happens when I try to select an album. The phone keypad is erratic with the volume whentexting, it has no volume or max volume when using keypad. The battery starts stuffing up even at 50-80% at this poin, have turned phone off for a while and nothing happened .Not to mention the non existent bluetooth function. Starting to like samsung alot more in the last monthor 2. Thanks.

iPhone 4 died

Hi,So... I've had my iPhone 4 GSM (with the PIN-tray on the right side) for around 2 years now and today I went to the gym, let my phone on the locker, checked the time and everything was ok, then, 1hour later I opened my locker and my phone wouldn't turn on and I didn't even turn it off / shut it down, what could it be?  I've tried to charge my iPhone 4 to see what happened but it didn't sort out any effect neither connecting it to iTunes (with both chargers that I have).  Any tips on how to solve this issue before I decide to change to samsung? Thank you.

samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 used to connect perfectly to iPhone PersHotspot but has suddenly lost ability.

I'm not positive, but I am fairly sure it was the update to the Tab that caused the tethering function to become inoperative. Unfortunately I updated the iPhone soon after...and I acknowledge that it might have been that. In any case, it used to work perfectly - I used it alot - then it wouldn't work. It connects immediately...with a strong signal...and it *appears* to be assigned an IP address by the iPhone...but it won't surf. The iPhone can surf fine by itself.The Tab can surf fine by itself (when using home or public Wi-Fi)I reset the network settings in the iPhone (which to my immense annoyance did not help)I've tried many times to "forget" and re-connect to no avail.I renamed my iPhone to remove spaces & punctuation marks (no difference - and was not a problem before)Have tried to tether via BT; devices *will* pair, but iPhone says they are incompatible and aborts the connection. Ideas please?
