After months and months of not being able to update my iphone 4 to the new technology due to storage usage, i was finally able to. Now after two hours of waiting, my phone says it was verifying the update. My phone turned off and then turned back on and i got the plug into iTunes icon. After i plugged it in it says that the iphone update server cannot be found.

I am having trouble restoring my iphone. When I try to restore it, it says I need to update my iphone first but I have already done so and my iphone says it is currently up to date. I also just try and dowload the update again to just try it and it comes up with an error and won't finish everytime. I do not so much have a question, but a statement: I did the upgrade to iOS 6 last night. I had to delete a lot of apps to make room for the upgrade and did a small icloud back up to save space. But, after waiting and seeing the upgrade time kept going up and up, I just went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the Night to check and my phone said to connect to iTunes. When I did, it told me I had to restore my phone. So I had no choice because, it would not leave the connect to iTunes message on my screen otherwise. This is a horrible glitch!

Don´t buy a iphone 5 It simply don´´t work stabil in the bluetooth word. I can sometimes, and sometimes not connect to me Ipad 2 and PC. turn of and on, sometime i works some time i don´t work. I am in South Africa and my only means with communication back in the States was through iMessagea and FaceTime over wifi. They have been working fine for the past 3 weeks and all of a sudden they have both stopped working and say waiting for activation. I am using the same wifi I have been and I have a strong signal. I have also tried turning wifi off, iMessage off, and FaceTime off and resetting the networks, it didn't work. Any ideas on how to fix this? I just don't know why it would be working fine then all of a sudden stop!

I dropped my iphone in the swimming pool yesterday while I was at work (I work in a sports centre), it wouldn't turn on after that. 3 hours after the accident I took it to my local Vodafone store since I had originally bought it from there and had insurance on it. They said they would send it off for repair for liquid damage. They said I would lose all the data on it. They took it in and gave me a temporary phone to use in the mean time. However, after I came home I was googling liquid damage and I heard about the home remedy of keeping your iphone in a bag of rice and waiting...days, I am now thinking that I should have tried this befor handing it into the store who thought it had lived its last. Should I get it back from the store before it is sent off for repair, to try this? It might be a way of saving my data. Thanks

My iphone randomly and for no apparent reason reboots itself.... goes dark, then apple logo appears and then back to slider view. I just replaced the phone this afternoon, so doubt it is the hardware. Why aren't decent car kits available for iphone 5
I've been waiting for months to upgrade to iphone 5 because I haven't found a car kit available that's equivalent to my Belkin charger car kit for my 4s. It seems that by the time one comes out I may have gone elsewhere because if apple can't help me move forward someone else will. I'm losing faith in apple, they are dropping the ball and losing touch with how we use our mobile devices.

On February 11th I purchased the black/slate iphone 5 from an APPLE Authorized Reseller (iStore Tunisia) at full retail price. It's been three weeks now. Yesterday after removing the case for the first time ever(i didn't use it without a case) I noticed some scuffs and dents on the lower part, they are really ugly! So I called iStore, they advised me to go the nearest iStore. So after 1 hour of waiting... line they told that they need to contact Apple first before replacing my iphone because they cannot do anything without contacting Apple. They told me that me they will call me after two days. What if Apple denies the replacement? Can I get a full refund since I am still within 30 days of its purchase? I am really not satisfied this iphone 5:( sorry for my English.

How do you turn call waiting off. I have hands free through my stereo in my vehicle and when I am on a call if another call comes in it disconnects all calls. Personally I think it's an issue with the stereo but the manufacturer says different.Thanks for any help!

How to Delete Messages in Spotlight Search History without Resetting or Syncing iphone 5
I know there are a lot of individuals dealing with this issue and if you are like me you spend hours searching "how to delete messages in spotlight search history" and it seems like every post either says to reset your phone or sync it! I'm sorry but I did not want to go through the hassle of resetting my phone but I did try to sync it which did nothing so I decided to just mess around with my settings and I believe to have found the answer to everyone's question!! This worked for me so I really hope this works for you! Just follow the steps below: 1. Go to <settings><general><spotlight search><uncheck messages> 2. Then turn your phone off and wait a minute! Turn your phone back on and off again 2 or 3 more times while waiting...minute in between turning it off! 3. After you are done doing that go back to step 1 and <check messages>! 4. Now go to your spotlight search and those messages should be deleted! If they are deleted I would recommend going back to step 1 and <uncheck messages> so you do not have the same problem with messages showing up again in the spotlight search! It works for Mail too! Just follow the same steps listed above but uncheck mail instead of messages or do both at the same time!!*Here is an extra tip which will remove deleted Mail Messages, just follow the steps below:1. Go to <settings><mail, contacts, calendars><your mail account> scroll down and click <advanced> Now click <remove> under the title Deleted Messages and you can choose to have your mail removed After One Day, After One Week, After One Month or Never. Second iphone 4 came back from Apple Store xidanjoycity but it still got hardware malfunction.
I had my iphone 4 serviced last December, before my applecare expires. After I took the "new" iphone back home, I saw lots of dirty watermarks on the screen of it, and no matter what method I used, I couldn't clean it. So I went back, after another day waiting... picked up the second one. After about a week, the speak on this one stop working sometimes. But if I shake it hard enough it will be good. I mean I know it is a hardware malfunction not a software set up problem. Last week it was the Chinese new year, I missed a lot of phone calls, important messages and no need to say alarm clock. Now I have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow(Beijing time,GMT+8), it takes me about 3 hours to get there and back, about 2 hours to get my backup and apps back to the new phone. I hope you understand how many hours of my time have been wasted. So, what if the next one still a "bad" one. I was in Australia in the last four years, and I went to the Apple Store in Robina and Chermside to service my other iphone and Macs, I never had any kind of problems. I'm very very disappointed with the Apple Store in Xidan Joy City(Beijing).

Apple staff bricked my phone iphone 4
My wife went into the Chadstone (Victoria - Australia) shop today due to her iphone's (4) touch screen playing up. The phone was still quite functionable, in regards to expectations of a smartphone but became frustrating when the touch screen stopped working. There was a workaround for this (locking the screen then unlocking the screen) but was not an ideal fix, considering we were paying for a fully functional phone.Prior to going in, last night I ensured that all here apps and iOS were up to date, to ensure there wasn't and easily fixed software problem causing the issue. She was served by a staff member, who after examined the phone advised that there didn't appear to be a hardware issue so she would need to take it out the back to get the software checked. This was all that was explained to my wife, so she let the staff member take the phone to be checked.My wife had no issue handing the phone over as about 8 to 10 months ago she experienced an issue with her original iphone 4 and after a check (at the same store, again out the back) she was given a new phone a few minutes later due to the phone still being under warranty. My wife returned to the store about 30 minutes later after being told to wait 15 to 20 minutes, to verify what the problem was. Aft waiting... minutes she approached a staff member because no one had followed up with her regarding the phone. The staff member sought the initial staff member who had helped her and the staff member went out the back to check. The staff member returned and advised her that they had attempted to check the phone but for a reason (not explained) the phone and gone into panic mode and was unserviceable.My wife was offered a new phone for $150, as the warranty had expired or to come back another day to follow up on possible solutions. Having to pick up my son and due to not being that tech savvy, my wife opted to come back on a later day. After explaining the situation to me, I called the Chadstone store later that night to follow up on the situation due to the poor customer service.I was able to speak to the manager at the time, Joe, and after explaining the situation, I outlined my issues: 1. As my wife previously had a defective product, at no fault of her own, that was within warranty and it was replaced, why didn't the warranty begin again when she was given a new phone? Which later turned out to be defective as well. 2. Before handing over the phone, no attempt was made by the staff member to warn my wife that the phone was not covered by the original warranty, even though it was a replacement phone for a defective phone. 3. Before handing over the phone, no attempt was made by the staff member to to warn my wife that the phone could possibly be made unserviceable. If this was the case, I had pre- warned my wife that if there were any technical issues to contact me and I would advise her on what to do. 4. As the phone was functionable prior to the staff member taking responsibility for it and upon return was not functional AT ALL (read bricked), this was completely inappropriate. I explained that my wife relied on her phone for advice on our baby son. Joe acknowledged the issue but advised that they could not be accountable for the issue because if we were running old software and they had to restore it and run new software, then this was a possible outcome. I confirmed with Joe that the night before I had ensured I had updated all the apps and iOS, to ensure that these were not the causes of the issue. I also confirmed that my wife had not been advised of any possible issues prior to handing over the phone. If she had, she would have called me to confirm and I would have told her not too as it was not a serious issue.I advised Joe that this was not really appropriate customer service and I would jot be looking to pay $150 to resolve the issue and we were not at fault. Joe advised that he could not guarantee that we would not have to pay something but confirmed to come in and I confirmed he would be working the day I would be coming in. Surely based on the history of the issue, Apple are at fault here.
iMessage playing up sending and receiving messages slowly iphone 5
Recently my iMessage has been playing up alot, sometimes it's ok but if me and the participant aren't messaging straight away then the messages will take about 10 minutes to come through to my phone after they have been sent? Also when I send messages it takes longer than usual and they pile up waiting... send. To try and fix this I restored my iphone 4S but it has made no difference, and I have full wifi or 3G signal aswell as my carrier signal so I have no idea what's happened. This recently started after I downloaded the new iOS 6.1

Basically, I have received an iphone 5 purchased from ebay (cash converters ebay) and I have done a sim swap from my giffgaff micro simcard to a NANO sim for the new iphone 5. I did the sim swap at around 1pm and I still haven't got any signal. Anyway My 3g is working but I dont have any signal bars at all and I can send Imessages but like I said no signal at all. I have contacted GiffGaff about the 3g working but no signal but they said wait 24 hours tops. I dont mind waiting but wont the sim swap have finished with the 3g working or will it still be performing the swap? Also now I beginging to panich thinking the phone maybe blocked but I have asked a few people and said if the phones IMEI number was blocked the phone wouldn't even work with 3g so now I am stuck now. Can anyone help please or had any simular problems? Should I try cleaning the sim card ?

iphone can't restore error-1 at last second with iphone 4 GSM
Hi all. I've already tried asking this elsewhere, but haven't really had much luck with help other than "it has to be a hardware issue". So, here goes. Note: it is far out of the warranty date, plus it's physically damaged. I have an iphone 4 (16, I think) that was working aside from cracks in the screen. I saw it working a few months ago and it was given to me (it hasn't been used since). When I turned it on, it showed the iTunes and usb cable (indicating it needed restoring) so I tried restoring it (invalid build error I think). I kept trying again and again but got the 16xx error a few times. I have tried two different computers, different OSs, (one that didn't even ever have itunes installed) and I keep getting the same -1 error at the very very end of the restore. Early on, I was able to get it to boot and get to a passcode screen but then it said the iphone needs to be restored after I unlocked it. It's almost like it's restoring fine and then suddenly it doesn't verify at the end with apple's servers or something. My apartment's wifi goes through an isp with security of some sort, I'm sure. Could that be an issue? I feel like it almost restores it but then it fails right at the end. Here is one of the logs--this one is the latest -1 error. It is abridged since most of it wouldn't fit. I don't know how to attach the full log. i cant get my apps to download on my iphone 5
I cannot get my apps to download on my iphone 5. They were doing this fine and then one day just stopped. They sit there "waiting" - it has been 4 days....I've reset, updated, synched, etc.
