iPhone Remote-iPhone not able to connect with my library 3G

Hi, after searching the internet for a solution, i hope one of you guys can help.Well, when i start Remote on my iPhone iTunes detects the Device, and im able to enter the code in iTunes. But when im trying to connect to my library, my iPhone just wont do it. I tried to turn off my Firewall, but still the same problem. unable to drag drop since new Computer iPhone 3G

Hi, i got a new laptop few weeks ago. Recently i copied all my music and files from my old HDD to my laptop. I have to mention that everything worked perfectly fine on my old Computer.Well, yesterday i restored my iPhone so i would be able to sync it with my new computer, and this also worked perfectly fine..But i cant drag & drop my music to my iPhone...i have to make an playlist and sync this with my iPhone. VIBRATE SETTING BROKEN iPhone 3G

All of a sudden when I move the switch on the side of my iphone to the vibrate setting it no longer works. My phone just makes noise and rings all the time now. It still vibrates, but rings too. My warranty is up but only by about 4 days. Anyone know how to fix it or a possible solution? iPhone OS 3.1.3

Frozen iPhone 3G

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. My iPhone 3G froze while I was using it for no apparent reason (no damage to phone). I have now been through the process of restoring and reactivating the iPhone 5 times and each time the iPhone will work for a short while and will then freeze again. The only solution Apple have given me is to return the iPhone to them for repair which will cost me €210. I have had the phone now for just over one year therefore the phone is no longer under warranty.Any help or advice would be appreciated.Thanks iPhone 3G

Iphone 3G-Youtube Native App Problem

Hi all,Im using Iphone with with firmware 3.1.3. For last 3-4 days Iphone cannot connect to Youtube. Every time I try Cannot connect to Youtube screen appears prior to the No Videos screen.So far I tried different networks as Edge/3G/Wi-fi but the result hasnt changed. Even tried a few different wi-fi network provided by different ISS. Rebooting the phone, signing out from Youtube and signing in with different account havent also provide any solution to the problem. It just says Cannot connect to youtube.Please let me know if you have similar problem or you know the solution Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Iphone 3g gps no signal since Upgrade

My Iphone gps has stopped working, I think it is because a upgrade, before I upgrade to 3.0.1 firmware version the gps worked so fine.I have MotionX-gps app and it shows me a message that said Network triangulation, when I select Outdoor gps mode, a message show informing that gps has no signal, the same happens in a compass app.I would like to have a solution for this. iphone frozen in recovery mode help 3G

okay, so i did something to itunes to where it updated or something and then my iphone got un-jailbroken or something..so i tried looking online how to jailbreak it again.i started to do the redsnow steps, but i got an error 1015 message..and then after that, i got into recovery mode.. ive found steps to get out of recovery mode consisting of holding down home/sleep button off and on tons of times..but to no avail..its still in recovery mode.how the heck do i get out of this mode!??!? is there some sort of program, or app i need to download to get me out? i dont want to restore my iphone and lose everything i had!!!!

iPhone 3gs crash

Hi,I just purchased a brandnew iPhone 3gs (Software 3.1.3 / last update when I registered it for the first time about three weeks ago) from T-Mobile an have a Business L rate. The phone was delivered about three weeks ago. It worked w/o problems for about two weeks and is now causing a massive problem. It simply crashes (complete phone switches off) with a frozen and darkened screen for some seconds. It is not responding to a reboot and even restoring to factory default settings via iTunes doesnt solve the problem. I was so impressed first as the iPhone seemed to be a big help in daily business. But now I even may not be reached because it switches off without warning even while only in my pocket, so I even cannot notice the failure and cant be reached. I now feel so insecure using the iPhone which obviously is not reliable and really harms my daily business. I now even asked Deutsche Telekom for a replacement. Silent button iPhone 3G

After about a year and two months my silent button on the side of my phone just fell off... Couldnt find the solution anywhere and I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody and what to do. If I bring it into the apple store will they replace my phone or just fix it...? I would just drive there and find out but being in college and the nearest apple store is an hour and a half away I dont feel like wasting any time! Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Call recording iPhone

Hi,I have spent hours searching the App store for an App that can record my telephone conversations. I found 2. Recorder only works in US and CallRec.me works in most countries but in a most peculiar way; At the same time you make a call you also make a second parallel call to a server center and then you merge the two calls, via your phone. The server center apparently records the message and saves it. Any solution the means having to pay for two calls internationally or anywhere (I travel a lot) must be wrong. You cant start recording in the middle of a conversation without a pause while merging the call to the server center in. !#€/€()/€%#!#Please advice me in what to do. Isnt there any good recorder out there?I need the following (it exists for Nokia):1 - Be able to configure what calls to record (i.e black list/white list, incoming or outgoing or both).2 - Be able to record incoming or outgoing calls on the fly without have to start yet another App and take time to fiddle around. I mean it should all work in the background automatically.3 - A simple configuration; Record all calls I would like.Since I dont know in beforehand if a call I receive or make will be threatening or for any other reason worth recording the App most be simple to use, automatic and preferably incorporated into the standard dialing App. Of course you could make a new App for dialing your calls facilitating the recording of the call. cant send receive photos in mms iPhone

hi, im hoping this is just a setting i dont know about. when in the messaging screen the camera icon is not next to the messsage box.it was there a couple of weeks ago. ive been to the at&t store and the apple store. after messing with the phone they both sent me home to do a restore.i did a restore to as a new phone and the icon returned, great!but then i did a restore from back up to get all my info back and the camera icon disappeared again.i cant just make it as new and start over. id rather live without mms photos. but the best solution would be if i can just get that function back.any suggestions on what to check?thanks iphone 3g iPhone OS 3.1.3 itunes 9.0.2.25

Downgrade to 3.1.2 resolves battery issue iPhone 3G

As a follow on to my posting at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2351460&tstart=0, since my phone is out of warranty I decided to downgrade to 3.1.2 to see if the battery life issue which occurred after the 3.1.3 upgrade would be resolved.Im happy to report that my battery life is back to normal on 3.1.2! Hi,Ive heard a lot of people complaining about this, but Ive never seen a solution to the problem - I hope you can help. When someone calls me, my iPhone automatically recognizes who it is if I have the person as a contact. But when I receive a text message, the persons phone number plus country code shows up, and not the contact name. copy large videos from iphone 3gs to windows

Hi, I have a large 750 mb video on my phone that I am trying to copy to the computer. I have tried using the camera and scanner wizard and copy/paste in windows explorer but neither of them works. It produces a 0kb file on the computer. I have been able to successfully transfer videos upto 400 MB but this one doesnt seem to work. ProClip pass-thru dock not compatible iPhone 3G

I have a ProClip dock in my car. Its one of the adjustable models with a pass-thru dock connector. Plugged into the bottom is a Kensington Liquid Aux unit that supplies power from the cigarette lighter socket and audio out to the head unit in my car. Works perfectly with my iPhone 3gs.My wifes car has a similar set up, but with her 3G unit she gets the standard this accessory is not compatible with iPhone message and the iPhone wont charge or play back thru the dock. Ok. Take the phone out of the case and plug it in. Same error. Plug the phone into the Kensington dock connector directly. Works fine. Problem with the passthru dock-connector? Her phone gives the same error when plugged into MY cars ProClip dock. Software problem on the iPhone? Well we just swapped her iPhone at the Apple store due to battery life issues and the NEW ONE does the same thing, and did it BEFORE I restored any of her settings/software onto the unit...Im left scratching my head. Tolerances on the dock extender copper fingers? No ideas really.I think a ProClip dock without the passthru dock would work, but shed have to plug in the Kensington cable by hand every time... As far as I know, a Scosche or equivalent CableJive device wouldnt fix this problem, or at least would ONLY fix the charging part--she would still see the error and would still be unable to play audio out the dock...Anybody else have this problem or have a suggested solution? Yesterday, I was using my phone, when it went blank and just the apple logo would show. My home button isnt working, just the top button (cant remember what its called), but it just brings up the apple logo. Ive pushed both of them at the same time and nothing happens. Volume Vibrate Wonky 3.1.3 update iPhone 3G

Hello. I currently have an iPhone 3G. It has been fully submerged in water once. Thankfully, after the rice trick, I successfully managed to salvage my iPhone. It works completely fine. Still, to this day, I am amazed. Until I updated to Update 3.1.3. Then, things got really wonky. For instance, I would feel the iPhone vibrate go off. The switch was not on, it showed no orange dot. So, after that, I went home, got the thing out of my pocket, and now, the freak show started. I took it out of my pocket, and then on the home screen, It was rapidly switching back and forth from the silent mode to the ringer on mode. I didnt touch the switch at all. I am not one of those people who plays with it all the time, switching it on and off. Still, I did submerge it in water, so I hard-resetted it, didnt turn it back on, and took it apart. Nothing seemed wrong with the internals. I put it back together and booted it, normal boot, nothing fancy. So that problem seems to be fixed. Then, the volume rocker started having the same problem, but it stopped. So both buttons worked until now, which it wont go down in volume. I had just hard rebooted again, and it still has the same problem. Booted, Volume went way down, put it in sleep, unlocked it again, same thing. Please give me some advice. Even if you dont have an exact solution, anything is welcome. At least if you have the problem post that you have the problem. Is it the hardware? Is it the software? Why it iPhone

...that an iPhone-compatible car cannot use the dock connector jack for phone calls? This is clearly a choice on Apples part, as it would obviously be the simplest solution to use the connector for iPod, phone, and charging capability. Instead, you must pair to the car via Bluetooth for phone calls, every time you get in the car. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

I tried to call and activate speakerphone but no sound is coming out of the speakers. USB in new car iPhone

I just bought a Honda Crosstour, which is one of the new cars that have a USB jack that can read and play music off of my iphone.Im looking for a good holder/cradle solution so I can just slide my iphone in and out of it when I get in or out of the car. Im worried about excessive connecting/disconnecting of the regular sync cable and wear and tear on the connectors on the phone.I had a great griffin tuneflex cradle that was perfect in my old car, but the radio wont read the iphone when I plug the sync cable into the bottom of the griffin.Any suggestions for products? iMac Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Hello,After many calls to Apple regarding my smart playlists not syncing correctly I figured Id try the forums. Since iTunes 9 (back in November) my playlists have not been syncing correctly, at all and its not just a case of the songs being out of order, the entire playlist/s is incorrect, with songs I didnt even add to the list.I only have 16gb to play with on my phone, my entire library is over 40gb, so I depend on smart playlists so that only selected songs (4 star rated or better) make it to my iPhone. Other then unchecking live update, is there any other solutions that actually work? iTunes doesnt start automatically anymore after failed iPhone update 3G

So, the other day, I tried to download the newest update for my iPhone, and it failed for some odd reason, which left my iTunes all messed up, and my iPhone stuck at a screen. I reinstalled iTunes, fixing the screwed up iTunes, but my iPhone was stuck on the connect to iTunes screen. As a result, I did the emergency restore on a different computer, and now my iPhone works okay. But Ive noticed now, that when I plug my iPhone in, iTunes doesnt start automatically anymore, I have to manually click on iTunes (not that this is a big deal or anything, but it would be nice to get this fixed). So, is there any setting or solution I can use to try to fix this? PC Windows XP

App screening process iPhone 3G

What is Apples screening process for Apps? I bought the Lexulous app for $4 and it constantly crashes. I have reported it 3 times to the creators with no solution. If you read the reviews, there are hundreds complaining of this problem. They did an update, but the problem persists. I feel that they should be held accountable for selling a product that is almost unusable. Apple should at least tell them to either fix it or drop the price to free. SMS Ringtones iPhone

I love my iPhone. I have one big complaint and that is the text messaging ring tones. Its too short and too simple to the point where I am constantly missing messages. I am hard of hearing and my main mode of communication is via text messaging, and my previous phone (Palm Treo) was extremely effective in delivering the text alerts since I was able to use any ringtones available on the phone.The iPhone doesnt appear to have the option for customized ringtones as well as extending the length of the rings or using the telephone ringtones. Ive been helped by roaminggnome, a top user in this forum - perhaps an Apple employee? Hi!I bought iphone in UK and it works wonderfully. Id just like to know if there are any way I can type in Japanese in the text? When I go to open my messages and the inbox linked to my home pc, to view e-mails, the screen goes off in a matter of a few seconds and I do not have time to read my messages! Ever since upgrading to 3.0 my iPhone crashes when syncing to iTunes if I have purchased podcasts from the iTunes store directly on the phone.To resolve the issue, I have to remember which podcasts I downloaded and delete them from the phone. It then syncs fine.I have reinstalled the phone (complete wipe) but it still happens. Intermittent 3G without moving around iPhone

I had my O2 phone unlocked to use on orange UK just before Christmas. Everything worked fine for weeks- the 3G was sometimes patchy when moving around the city as to be expected but when I stayed still it was pretty reliable. About 2 weeks ago I noticed my 3G started to drop down to nothing instantly after being at full bars the minute before, then it would be back to full a minute later and so on.   Another thing that is strange is that sometimes I have a full 3G signal yet i still get the no data connection error in safari and pages will not load at all. This is happening every couple of days right now and its so frustrating - I went 2 hours with absolutely no data over 3G or GSM the other day!Yet another strange thing is the 3G switch itself. Sometimes I will turn 3G off and yet the signal wont drop out and come back up as GSM or EDGE as it usually does, it remains on 3G! Its almost as if the phone thinks it is still getting a 3G signal when it isnt OR the mechanism for actually changing the signal type isnt responding to the phones interface ie the switch. Sometimes the 3G symbol changes instantly to the o GSM symbol without any change in the level which again, suggests a confusion between signal types as it is unlikely the 3G would physically drop to nothing whilst GSM just happens to be at exactly the same signal strength. I went to the apple store a week ago - they ran diagnostics and reported that my phone was able to pick up 92% of available signal. They suggested I get a new sim and do a deep restore on the phone and set up as new phone both of which I have done. I went back today and they said as I was out of warranty (even though this handset is only 3 months old as it replaced another fault!) I would have to pay £139 for a replacement. My concern is that this is not a handset fault but a firmware update fault- I have read many other similar stories that all happened after the last 3.1 update which included a carrier settings update so Im dubious about forking out £139 when I cant be sure what is at fault. Also I know nobody else with an iPhone on Orange UK to compare with. Voice calls and SMS are not affected by these problems. I just wanted to see if anyone else is having the same problems and if so, if they have come to find a solution. Any light that can be shed will be very welcome!Thanks guysJoe     24" iMac 2.4 GHz, Powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.5.1)

I have a 2004 Acura TL with full bluetooth capabilities. My previous Nokia phone worked great, but my iPhone has problems. First, when a call comes in, it does not display the callers information on the dash (the Nokia did). Next, to hear the caller I have to turn up the volume to full. This is very frustrating. I contacted Acura and they said it was a software issue with Apple. Has anyone else run into this & has anyone discovered a solution? texting and driving I have solution iPhone

I really wish I could talk to Steve Jobs about this, because it is a serious problem and something should be done asap. Texting while driving has effected me personally, I lost my girlfriend. I honestly believe she was texting me while she got into a car accident. Itll be 2 years ago this feb 8th. We were suppose to meet up, after an hour went by after she got off her train I got nervous and went looking for her. She wasnt home, so I decided to go to the train station that she gets off at. I couldnt get there, police cars and flairs everywhere, a police officer told me to turn around and go back the other way. I told him i was just looking for my girlfriend and that I just wanted to make sure she was ok. He asked me her name, I told him Shirley. He told me to pull over and get out of the car. I walked up and saw her twisted car. My nightmare began. A simple left turn was all she was doing. After I found out the time of the crash, I looked at my phone and noticed I sent her a text a few minutes before that. I would like to believe she wasnt texting me back. But I will never know. 25 is way to young to die and I know too many people that still text and drive. So I asked these people why they cant wait to text someone back till they stop driving. The one response I get the most is, I just wanted to get back to them and let them know that Im driving and will hit them up later. My idea is a app that comes with the phone or an update we can all download for free. Driving mode app. Just type your away message in before you start driving. Like, driving to work i will get back to you in a half hour, if important call me ( if you have a hands free head set). So when you get a message your phone sends out an auto reply. I think its a start and I know this easy app will save lives ASAP!! dell

buying music on ITUNES app erassed my entire library iPhone 3G

just bought Tiny tims God Bless Tiny Tim and his single Ive never seen a straight banana Over 3g with the Itunes app. when I clicked on my music library it went into the rebuilding library message you get every now and then when you changed a lot of music when you sync. Now instead of having over 1000 songs, podcasts and audiobooks I just have the 16 songs I just purchased. I know I can restore on the next sync but is there another solution? iPhone wont recognise plucking out headset-stays in head-set mode 3G

Now it sometimes switches back to regular microphone and speaker function, but that only lasts for couple of minutes. Ive also figured that it might have something to do with my iphone overheating - is that possible? Are there any other solutions out there? I need 2 differents phone number on a IPhone for 2 differents business.My solution had a extra phone line to my home phone+forward that extra phone number on my iPhone.Questions: -Will it indicate the phone number call by the caller on my iPhone so I can answer the right business name when a customer call.Can I have 2 differents voicemail boxes messages for each business, or one for each phone number? Apps lost when I synced my iPhone 3G

Hi - Never saw this before, so I thought Id ask. I have a iPhone G3 running 3.1.2. My machine at home is a Dual 2.3 GHz Power PC G5 running 10.5.8 (I believe). Anyway - when I synced my iPhone last night 2 of my apps disappeared! As in were deleted and all the info went with them?? After syncing I noticed the apps were no longer on my phone - then when I checked my itunes backup on my computer - they werent there either.The apps in question were Loseit! and ESPN Word Cup 2010. I did lose data, but its really no big deal and both apps were free. How do I unlock IPhone 3G. I was using the phone in the US for a year and cancelled the connection when returning to India. IPhone Problems 3G

Couple of problems:1. My wifes computer is in for repairs (will be back within the week hopefully) and this holds her ITunes account. I will have to load up ITunes again on her machine on a fresh operating system (Windows 7) when it returns, which I feel wont have any of her ITunes backup files on it.............Problem 1!!!2. Her IPhone has just crashed and will try and load up but only gets to the apple symbol and then shuts down. Have read some solutions about resetting IPhone but it involves her ITunes on her computer (see point 1.) What is the solution to this problem??? Problem 2!!!!3. I have tried to log her onto ITunes on my computer which it does (or says it has) but it shows all my downloaded programs and not hers......is this normal?? If we connect her IPhone onto this ITunes account will it download all my stuff. Problem 3!!!!4 Is there any other way to reset her IPhone without connecting it to a computer (ITunes) so it can be used............Problem 4!!!Frustrated Windows 7

Well, after ive updated my iphone2G/16GB to fw 3.1.2 my phone doesnt work normally. To describe problem: When someone is calling me (not always happening), i dont recieve a call, and soon after i receive a message that ive missed a call! Ive read there are many with similar problem with 2G on 3.1.2fw, even restore doesnt work, tried few times, also tried to sync to iTunes as NEW device!Is there any solution to this? deleting single calls from call list iPhone

this is a problem most Iphone users are facing . I get a lot of calles every day and would only like to keep the calls important to me on my list . this is a feature I have been using in every phone I have had till now . I wonder why apple has not included this feature in their list like it has in the messages where you can slide your fingure over a message and you have a option to delete the selected message ....how simple !! I have checked many forums and the only solution seems to be to Jailbreak my phone which I dont want to do but have no option . How do I inform apple to add this feature in their next update and also ae there any problems I will have if I jailbreak my phone and get the application from a 3rd party ? iHome Alarm Buzzes rather than play iPhone playlist 3G

I have a new iP9 iHome clock radio/dock alarm. When I set the alarm to wake to an iHome playlist (per the units instructions), the alarm starts with the buzzer. After snoozing, it eventually begins to play tracks off the iHome playlist. But the first instance is always the annoying buzzer.Ive read on other threads that this is a common problem, but I cant find an actual solution.
