iPhone Game Settings 3G

So, to make a long story short, my wifes iPhone 3G is having some issues. We took various steps to try to resolve them, and, nothing has worked so far. My next step is to do a restore on her phone and see if that works. Her question is, will she lose all of her high score settings on her iPhone games if I do a restore. not that it matters that much, but, she is just curious. Does anyone know if thats the case or not? Imac 20" Display, 250 Gig HDD, 1 Gig RAM Mac OS X (10.5.1)

3.0 messed up my battery life iPhone 3G

Ok so people dont telling me to check this and that Ill explain some background info. Im in Iraq, I have had my 3G iphone since Ive been here. I keep it in Airplane mode all the time since I have a sim but not load on it, there isnt wifi here and being 3.0 just came out my BT has always been off to. Its set to a 1min lock time and the brightness is less than 50% set to auto dim.Basically its an ipod touch with a camera.Anyways I did the 3.0 update and now my battery life is screwed. Before it would last at least 3-4 days no charge, now I have to plug it in every night. I dont play any games on it and also the past week I havent had any music on it since I delete my iphone playlist i had.To be honest its only been my alarm clock for the past two week, so what ever 3.0 did it screwed up my batter life, no lie today alone it was full at 8am when i unplugged it from my notebook and it was almost dead at 11pm.Im pretty ticked about this. Battery woes after 3.0 update iPhone 3G

Yes I know theres like 100 topic on this already so why no ad another one. I work up today to find 3.0 had installed on iPhone. I browsed the web for about 1 hour and my full 100% battery went down to about 80% percent. I went back to sleep and work up 3 hours later to find my battery had gone down another 20%I went to the gym and listened to music while there for 1.5 hours. On my way back home I set google maps on to guide me home just to see if anything was different there, the ride was about 20 minutes. Now, 20 minutes later as of this texting, I have less than 20% of juice. I never have to worry about charging my phone every day with moderate usage, however Im gonna need a charge soon and I did not even surf the web or play games for hours like I normally do. Apple, this is NOT good. Its funny how apple did not want to add background processing to maintain battery, yet the new update is doing away with battery faster than the PRE. cypher red pill

3G runs slower with OS 3 as with 2 iPhone

I have the same problems with two iPhone 3G since update to OS 3. The overall performance is slower as before, the memory is more often in critical state, apps crashes more than ever before and on using more power consuming apps like games, the battery becomes hot and faster empty.Im lucky with the new functions of OS 3, but absolutely unhappy with stability and performance. Blutooth headphones and game sounds iPhone

With one day to find this out on my own (with the new OS) I thought Id ask anyway just to keep you guys on your toes <g>.When I play a game with my blutooth headphones I do not get any sound. They do work with the phone, though. Does the technology that sends stereo music via blutooth also send sounds from games (and other apps), or will I always need wired headphones for apps? Thanks! pc

Hi All,I just checked the size of the backup in my C:Documents and Settings<username>Application DataMobilesyncBackup and the folder is only small. Approx 12 MBWhat information does this hold? Data from applications (games, etc.), text messages, contacts? In iTunes it says there is much more data than this on the capacity measurement bar.Im about to do a restore, but having second thoughts. Im thinking that it hasnt been backed up correctly... Bought iPhone 3G one week ago

Bought my 3G on may 29th. The AT&T store that I bought my iphone from stinks and wont pick up after 6 calls over an hours time. A good friend of mine who has had the 3G since the 1st day it came out told me (a few weeks ago), that the new iPhone is coming out, however I can still download the new OS 3.0. I took that for granted and thought, meh, I just want it NOW and surely the new update will be fine. LOL @ ME, the new S model is sick. Like a turbocharged version basically. 200hp motor, or 300 hp motor, for same price...?!Ive been browsing around on here and want to confirm that this is true:If I pre-order the iPhone 3G S (should do within the next few days, its hot), then take my originally bought 3G to my AT&T store, they will charge me a $20 restocking fee, and just exchange the phones. If I dont plan on getting the 3G S, and choose to keep my 3G, then I can just go to my store and get $100 store credit (I doubt cash?)Final question (of greater unknowing to me): I just registered my extended protection plan (2 years of warranty) a few days ago. That was $70. Not cheap. Would they transfer that over to my new iphone, or just completely ignore the fact that I spent $70 for an extended warranty? I could picture a big company like Apple trying to milk every dollar out of users.P.S. I FREAKING love the iPhone, I mostly love playing games (Sims 3, and NFSUndercover) and it runs great. But the new features of the 3G S (not to mention 16GB rather than 8GB) just makes it a no brainer for anyone who uses their iphone at all. P.S.S, I feel really bad for those out of luck who has gone past their 30 day grace period (or will very soon)... things happen and technology is ALWAYS being updated. Sony VAIO Windows Vista

Application saved Data iPhone

Hi All,Just out of curiosity Id like to ask a question about the iPhone applications and their data. I like to keep my iPhone apps neat into sections e.g. Main, News/Web/Info, games, Utilities, etc. However some sections i.e. games has reached too many so Id like to delete 1 or 2 of them.Id like to delete the games temporarily though I am unsure if the applications data is stored on my PC or in the iPhone itself. I just dont want to lose saved game data if I was to remove the app from my iPhone. If the applications data is removed along with the app and not stored on my PC when I sync then I guess lots of application pages it the only go!Thanks for the help. iPhone 3.0 vs. Palm which one would you want to get

iPhone or Palm Pre? Sprint, Palm Pre’s exclusive carrier announced that Palm Pre would be launched on June 6. Then this summer that’s the question many would-be-smart phone purchasers just might ask themselves. Both have their pros and cons. The iPhone has a huge profile and market presence, but the Pre has the old-school Palm faithful who have been waiting a long time for their Next Big Thing. The iPhone has massive channels and even Sprint admits they won’t be advertising the Palm Pre much due to low initial supply. But those most likely to want the Palm Pre already know it’s coming, where to get, and may well be reading this while already standing in line. But what about the consumer on the edge? The consumer who has an older iPhone or Palm, or the one who’s about to move up from a feature phone for the first time. What about the dreaded “undecided”? This article is for them. Now let’s get it on.DisplayIPhone: beautiful, large (3.5 inch diagonal), high-resolution (480x320 screen) multi-touch display. Palm Pre: Beautiful, large (3.1 inch diagonal), high-resolution (480x320 screen). The screen is not as large as the iPhone (0.4 inch smaller) but this is balanced against other hardware features such as the removable battery and sliding keyboard further below.Advantage: TieKeyboardPalm Pre has a physical, hardware-based QWERTY keyboard while the iPhone has a virtual, software-based keyboard that can be QWERTY (or anything else). For those who need to feel those keys, the Palm Pre is the obvious choice. However, the Pre’s keyboard is reportedly somewhere between a Treo Pro and a Palm Centro: softer, more gummy keys with a narrow width overall. It might not be to everyone’s liking. That said, at least the Pre has one, and it’s a slider to boot, which means if you don’t need it, you can just tuck it away back under the screen where it came from. The iPhone, can draw any kind of keyboard it wants. So if you need to type occasionally (or often) in Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, or most any language, you can easily switch between those exact keyboards. You can also automatically be presented with web-optimized, or video, audio — any task at all — specific keyboards. The iPhone is an excellent touch screen phone, no doubt. But for heavy texters and e-mail addicts, the lack of a physical keyboard can be annoying. Now Palm Pre combined a touch screen and keyboard, pleasing both touch screen and keyboard fans. So Palm Pre wins.Advantage: Palm PreNetworkIn the US — which is the only country with initial availability — Sprint has exclusive rights to the Palm Pre, much as AT&T has a lock on the iPhone. When you choose mobile phone, also make a choice between the carriers. There are two factors to consider:1. AT&T is a GSM network, which means you can theoretically pop out your SIM card and put it in another mobile phone. It is great in emergencies, and if you travel and don’t want to deal with roaming charges. Sprint is CDMA, so any phone switches involves a call to your carrier at the very least.2. Sprint doesn’t currently allow simultaneous voice and data. This means if you’re talking on the Palm Pre, you can’t use the web or email, and vice versa. If you’re using an iPhone on AT&T’s EDGE service, you’ll have the same problem, but if you’re on 3G, there are no worries at all. For the Palm Pre, you’d have to switch to Wi-Fi to do that.Again, for me, using voice and data at the same time has become a must. Looking up information while out and about on a call is a frequent occurrence. If you’re not accustomed to it, you may not miss it, but once you are, it’s hard to go back. Advantage: iPhoneApplicationsInstalling new applications on the iPhone is a complete joy. It’s ultra simple and quick – an absolutely superb experience than virtually nobody has matched today. With 15,000+ apps now available there is something here for everybody and although there is a lot of rubbish there are also many superb applications.Palm has already confirmed that it will create a full App Catalog – one that will presumably have the same functionality and ease-of-use as Apple’s App Store. Though maybe there will not (initially at least) be as many apps available for the iPhone as for the Palm Pre.Advantage: TieMultimedia For Palm Pre, it offers a 3-megapixel camera. Unfortunately, I didnt get a chance to snap any photos, but early reports say that the quality is pretty good. Disappointingly, the camera wont have video recording capabilities at this time, but those could be added in the future. In terms of music and movie, it is reported that the music sounds very beautiful, also the movie looks perfect with the 320*480 pixels screen. However Palm Pre can only play MPEG-4, H.263, H.264 videos and MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR, QCELP, WAV audio files. What if you have large music or video collections you want to carry around with you on your mobile? I have got third part software to do this admire job: use Nidesoft DVD to Palm Converter to convert DVD collections into Palm Pre and Nidesoft Video Converter to convert video or music collections into Palm Pre.As far as iPhone, there’s no doubt that iPhone is wonderful music mobile phone. Listening to music, viewing photos and watching movies/videos is just “something else” on the iPhone. IPhone can play MPEG-4 videos with resolution of 640 *480, up to 160 Kbps. Also it supports audio formats including AAC (16 to 320 kbps), MP3 (16 to 320 kbps), and WAV. With its beautiful 3.5-inch wide screen display and Multi-Touch controls, iPhone is an amazing iPod. Watch movies and TV shows in wide screen, iPhone brings you a video experience unlike any other portable device.Advantage: TieConclusionSo there you have it. Two companies that both pride themselves on their high-skill products. One who’s Newton spawned an industry that the other is Pilot defined and dominated, went on to converge with the Treo only to fall behind and get eclipsed by the iPhone, and is now poised to come back with the Pre. Apple is going on to the third version of their smart phone line while Palm is introducing the first version of their third act.If it seems like the only real deciding factors are where you live and work, what you want to do, and how you prefer to do it, well — yeah. That’s it. Bottom line, the competition between iPhone and Pre is good for Apple and Palm — it keeps them on their toes and on top of their games — and it’s better for us. We’re lucky to live in a time and place where we have such increasingly awesome mobile options to choose between.Come this summer, we’ll have a few more choices as well. Which one will be yours?

1 iMac 2 iPhones and 1 iTunes account please help. 3G

We have 1 iTunes account shared as a family, my 2 kids, wife and myself, we share music, video and the kids share games. Ive had my iPhone 3G for about 9 months now, Ive been syncing my contacts, iCal, Music and Apps no problem, my kids each have their own iPod Nano and syncing is no issue. I finally convinced my wife to upgrade from a Sony phone to an iPhone, so as of today she has her iPhone 3G. Currently the Address Book and iCal has been only used by me, but now my wife wants to be able use Address Book and iCal to maintain her contacts and calender events. We do have some of the same contacts and events but not all, so I thought if I create my wife her own user account for this iMac, she will be able to have her own contact list and iCal and it will not mix in with mine. If I do so, how do I deal with iTunes and the music, video, games and Apps. Keep in mind that theres only 1 iTunes account. iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Im leaving next month for a trip to Europe, and while I wont be using my iPhone while there (I have a cheap, unlocked Moto candybar for that), I would like to play games, listen to music, maybe watch a movie on my iPhone inflight.Ive checked the plane and airline (AA, 777-200), and it says the seat has a cigarette lighter style power port, which Seat Guru describes as being the same you find in most cars these days. That said, would my cars power plug work in that case? Ive got a new baseball game that I love playing, but sometimes I get too excited and mash the buttons. I see the screen react like it does whenever you press an LCD on a laptop or a calculator, for example. Can I damage it by pressing too hard? Obviously normally I dont press that hard, but its like mashing buttons on a controller, except the controller is a screen. N/A Windows XP N/A

Will I be able to make calls using Wi-Fi after OS 3.0 comes out iPhone

Im a new iPhone user and for the most part Im completely satisfied with the device. However, I live in an area where there is extremely patchy service. In my home I can check email, use instant messaging, safari and so on using Wi-Fi. I cannon use the phone for calls or texts though. Verizon turns peoples homes into Wi-Fi hotspots making it possible to make calls in areas where there is no service. During the presentation revealing new features on the 17th, its mentioned that users will be able to communicate through Wi-Fi to enable voice chat for certain games. All I want to know is whether Ill be able to use Wi-Fi for making calls and sending texts. If not, why is this impossible? Dell Dimension 2350

iPhone will not reset.

First things first, my boss flew from Australia to China and bought me an iPhone 3G. Okay, so i have continuously tried to reset my iphone because there are like 10 pages of just games and apps. Which, i dont need. I want to do a restore to factory settings but i have to enter in some code. So i did googling which is where i found out i could hold the Sleep and Home button at the same time and it would restore. However i hold the Sleep/Wake button as well as home at the same time but nothing happens. The power off screen comes up but it doesnt turn off and reset itself. So - googling some more and i found out you can do it via itunes. However iTunes will not recognize the Iphone. Ive tried everythign that apple has said. Uninstall, re install, restart the computer, check usb connections. everything is there. Its just not being recongized. Now, when i do plug in the iphone to my usb port, i come up with Mass Storage, Webcam, COM Port and PictBridge. When i had the iphone connected, on My Computer it comes up with Removable disk F:/ and Removable disk G:/So obviously, it is reconised on my computer. But not on Itunes. Any help?! I have lost sleep over this. And all i wanted was to get rid of these Apps that are taking up 10 pages!!!This is seriously annoying me. Compaq Presairo C7000 Windows Vista

Iphone Sync to Itunes Error-Deleted all 3rd Party Apps and Data

For the second time now, when connecting my device to my PC, it auto-started the sync and backup, but prompted with an error message along the lines of device failed to connect. I clicked ok (the only choice) and it then proceeded with the sync. Problem is, its now deleted all the 3rd Party applications off the phone. When I then unplugged the phone and connected, it worked perfectly, and reinstalled all the apps from Itunes Sync MINUS ALL THEIR DATA.So Ive now lost all my games settings, but more annoyingly all the confidential data I had in apps like Safe Note.I tried to do a backup restore, but this made no difference. I then contacted support, who said the only thing to do is to do a full restore on the phone as it may be a corruption - thus losing all my settings. Has anyone else had this? Anyone know a way around it? Its only done this twice in 3 months, so is a full Restore really going to be worthwhile?Just to add, I have the latest version on Itunes and Iphone software, and Im very IT Literate (IT Consultant). games iPhone 3G

So, maybe its me, or maybe its my iPhone 3G, or, maybe its the games Im buying, but, has anyone else noticed that the more graphic the games are for the iPhone, the more choppy they are?I mean, for the most part, almost every single game I got for the iPhone works fairly well, but, 1 game that i got about 2 weeks ago (Lets Golf!) was so choppy that it would either crash, or pause so bad that i wasnt able to play. And now, I downloaded Guitar rock Tour (once again, a very graphic game), and its doing the same thing. pauses, ALOT of choppiness and it sometimes freezes.I tried deleting the troubled apps and reinstalling them, re downloading the game, rebooting the phone,..etc..etc and still these problems persistNow, I know I should not expect the games to be SUPER smooth being that they are being played on a phone, but, I would think that if these games played on everyones phone like they do on mine, that, they wouldnt be getting such high ratings.Am I expecting too much from these couple of games? Could there be something wrong with my Phone?I now see that there is MLB baseball available, and, now I am afraid to download these very graphical games for fear that they might be choppy and crash. Is there something I might be missing? iPhone thinks its connected to accessory but isnt and wont play sounds. 3G

Hi all, Im new to the forum and was hoping someone might be able to help. I went to the Genius Bar at Apple last night with my 3G that had screen issues. They replaced it with a brand new one, and its with the new one I have the issue. When the chap in store unlocked the new 3G with his Mac, it displayed the This accessory is not made to work with iPhone message when he plugged it in, anyway, he unlocked it, message went and off I went. When I got home I noticed that this message continued to pop up when I unlocked the home screen. I did a restore of my old data, and loaded on all my music etc. and tried it again - still the same problem, tried a reset, still the same. Then I noticed that the phone wont play and sound effects. No text message bleeps or key clicks, no music through the iPod, no noise from games, but it will play ringtones (inc. full music ringtones).I then tried plugging in my iTrip as that accessory brings up the same message, which it did, the sound effects then work for a couple of seconds when I unplug the iTrip but then the accessory message pops up again and no sound!Ive booked a slot with Genius Bar again on Sunday, but its 45min drive each way and was hoping someone could save me the time! Many thanks. Russ

iPhone goes on vacation

Im planning a vacation in a couple of months at a resort (no names so the paparazzi dont follow me) and I want that to be AWAY, really AWAY from normal life, ie no phone calls. The resort advertises free WiFi, so what Id like is to be able to turn off the cellular phone service but leave the WiFi active - no phone calls in but I could surf out for games and other amusements (well, okay maybe email and texts too). I know Airplane Mode will turn off all the radios, but I dont see a way to only turn off the cell and leave WiFi on - is there a way to do that? 3G iphone screen becomes unresponsive

whats up guys and gals..ive had my iPhone for a good month and a half now and i gotta say i love it. i havent had any major problems with it. the one and only true complaint i have about it is .... my screen gets unresponsive numerous times in a day. i usually end up force quitting the app, or i would just lock it, and unlock it... and it gets back to normal.all i did to the iphone was install 5 games, google earth, aim, pandora and shazam.. well, ive got like numerous ringtones as well. but nothing too crazy on it. as far as songs on it for use as an ipod, i dont have any.i just dont know how to fix this problem... screen all unresponsive at times. is my iphone crashing from time to time? do i have a software glitch? i dont know what to do!?any advice would prove helpful...! oh yeah, i have version 2.2.1..? i think thats the latest software thats out right now... seeing that i just got this phone like 2months ago. hehe.please help! thanks! hp Windows XP

Another battery question sorry iPhone 3G

I have searched the forums for answers to this, but all situations Ive found are different. So, Im gonna ask for my set of circumstances. I am coming from a 1st gen iPhone to a 3g. (with a brief 3 week stop by a blacberry)On 1st gen I had all services on always. Wi-fi, bluetooth, 1 yahoo mail account set to push. 20-30 texts per day, reading email several times a day, a little web browsing on edge and wi-fi, played games ocasionally but not frequently, and 1-2 hours of music played daily. I normally charged the phone nightly, but it always had 30-50% battery remaining and went for 2 days ocasionally when I forgot to charge it. Off charger 6:30 AM back on charge normally 11:00 PM, so roughly 16-17 hours betwwen charges and it never went dead. I was happy with this. Now new 3g that I got 2 days ago. Location services-off, wi-fi-off, bluetooth-on(headset paired and connected but not talking), 3g-on(full bars whenever I check), and the 1 yahoo account set to push. My battery is at 20% by 3:00 PM. That is without the above mentioned use. During this 8-9 hours, no texts, no browsing, no talking, reading 1-2 emails. Thats it. I always hold down home button to exit out of any app back to home screen. This cant be normal, can it? I tried running the battery all the way down then a full recharge last night. Also did a reset (home+power till logo appears) Same problem today. If bluetooth and 3g alone eat up this much battery, then unfortunately I may have to go back to that blackberry (and Id rather not)! So, I guess my long winded questioin is. Should I just trade it for another new iPhone and try again (especially since its only 2 days old), or are there any other suggestions?Thank you in advance!!(One more thing. I dont know if this is relevant or not. But when I got the new iPhone the battery was completely dead. The AT&T store had to charge it for 20-30 minutes before they could even activate it. I thought phones shipped with at least a partial charge.) Windows XP

Got an iPhone 3G but cant use most of features in South Africa-HELP

Hi there.I got my iPhone about 4-5 months ago in South Africa. I love the hardware, I love the way it looks, what you can do with it, etc. But theres one thing I find really really annoying, and that is the fact that I cant use the phone features that users in other countries have access to.No, I havent run into any technical problems. The problem is that we have hardly anything available in our iTunes store. I invite you to switch your iTunes browser to the South Africa store and check it out... Yup, thats right, we have no music, movies, TV shows, podcasts or audiobooks. So what do we have? Some apps... yep some, but from the looks of it a greatly reduced list. Many apps Ive found links to on the net, which people recommended, are simply not in our store. Even free apps, for example Google Earth. But the most glaring omission is the games category... yep, not a single game available to South African users. So, to get an iPhone here requires a 2 year contract and another $300 on top of that for the 8GB version, so it surely isnt cheap... and yet I cant even make a custom ringtone because only music downloaded from the iTunes store can be used... I could do that on my very first Nokia phone which was a dinosaur w.r.t. technology compared to the iPhone.I honestly dont understand it... So, what help do I need?I need to find out who I can contact at Apple to reason with regarding the content of our iTunes store. I find it unacceptable that people who hack their phones have a FAR better experience than people who do the right thing. So, if you work at Apple and read this or you know someone at Apple that could perhaps help me find the correct person/people to talk to about this, then please please send me a mail with the appropriate details. My email address is emile@van-reenen.com (yes, Ill even post my email address on a public forum )I dont think I am being unreasonable to expect a good level of service for a high end product, and at this point I am really unhappy with the service. 8 or 16 iPhone 3G

Im thinking of getting an iPhone. Is it worth spending more and getting the 16gb one? I dont really understand the numbers and what they mean in regard to how much it will hold?It would have a program called Proloquo2go on it which will allow me to use it as a basic communication aid or construct sentences to send as text messages instead of using the tiny texting keyboard. It would mainly be used as a phone/communication aid/appointments etc as I have a 16Gb (i think) ipod Nano 4G for music/video. It might end up with a few games on too, as I seen some advertised on TV that Id like! Would 8Gb be enough for this? iPhones battery 3G

Hey,I bought my iphone 3g a week ago and its amazing. But I think that theres something wrong with the battery: I used the iphone for 5h 40 min (wi-fi, music, camera, games and calls) and it was in stand by mode for 2 days 20 hours. Is it normal to recharge it after this usage or the batterys not good?Is it normal that the battery takes not more than 2 hours to recharge? Thanks,CamilleMessage was edited by: Kamil Khoury iMac 17" Early 2006 Mac OS X (10.5.5) Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz; 1GB RAM; 160GB hard disk

Applications availability iPhone

Any other users in South Africa that make use of the local iTune store and also find that the number of applications are much less than the the rest of the world?I have been using an HTC and I am considering rather to go back to the Windows platform, where everyone can access all applications, e g WiFi router possibilities, card games (e g solitaire), if willing to pay for it.Could one have more than one store for one iPhone? I already bought some applications such as airsharing, etc that I would not like to loose.Anyone with experience with the HTC Touch Pro - comparing the smooth flow on the apple with that? Thanks! iphone 2G still supported

I recently was thinking of buying an iphone 2G but I was wondering is it still supported by Apple? Do all the applications and games that come out these days work with the iphone 2G or do they only work with the iphone 3G? Windows XP Pro

Help finding game from iPod touch commercial iPhone

The newest iPod touch commercial has a game where a little bug is riding on a baseball. I searched through most of the games and then realized that iphone games might be different from iPod touch games. If anyone knows what game it is that would be great. If that is an iPod touch exclusive game, then oh well. iPhone 3g 16 gb Windows XP

PIN coding airplane mode iPhone

Has anyone else had the same problem as me? My wife and I used to let our son, who is just about to turn 3, play games on our iphones, with airplane mode engaged. Unfortunately, the little monkey has learnt how to turn it off, resulting in a 7 minute call to one of our friends answerphones, who found it funnier than the emergency services would have done...Can I suggest to anyone from Apple who is reading that an option to PIN code airplane mode be considered for the next upgrade of the OS? Any thoughts, or supporting posts? Acer Aspire 5672 WLMI laptop Windows Vista

earpiece stop working when making or receiving call iPhone 3G

Hi, really need the big help from u guys, i just brought the iphone 3G and using it almost a month, unfortunately my earpiece(build-in speak) just all of sudden stop working whenever i making or receiving a call, so i have to turn on loudspeaker to listen. Im sure is not the headphone jack issue as when i put in the headphone, it indicates headphone ringer, when i unplug, it shows ringer only. In addition, the earpiece just working well whenever i playing games or listening music, thus i dont think the earpiece is broken. i been tried restored it few time(both firmware 2.2.1/2.2)and reset, but the problem just persist, i was wondering is there anyone facing this same issue b4 and hope u guys can share me the ways to solve this...thanks for the attention.. Earpiece Sound Problem-NOT headphone related iPhone

Hi,I could really use some help. Like many who have experienced this, I am having difficulty with my ear piece...no sound. But, unlike others, I can hear songs on the iPod just fine. In fact, if I go to the phone keypad, I can also hear it when I type a phone number (and can hear voicemail as well). So, the ear piece cant be completely bad. Ive also tried to jiggle the headphone jack multiple times like others have had success with. I also restored the iPhone 3G back to factory settings, all with no luck. I still cant hear anyone on the phone when I get calls. (and...yes...I am sure that the mute(?) button above the volume bar is not enabled.). Its very strange...Has anyone had problems simply with sound on the phone call, but can hear other sounds/music through the earpiece. Also, if I answer a call with either the headphones or put it on speaker, I can hear the call just fine.Im stumped. Why would the only sound problem arise when I get a call (and not music, games, etc)? Thanks for your help! iPhone 3G Software Verison 2.2.1

How to sync iphone on two computers

I use my desktop Mac Pro and its iTunes and iPhoto to do all of my music purchases, iphone games and apps purchases and manage my photos, and have my iphone synched to it, but I am going travelling and will be taking my MBP laptop. My laptop iTunes/iPhoto has none of my music, iphone games and apps or photos on it so I know that if I connect the iphone to it and try to sync it, it wont work.I would like to have all of the same music, photos and purchased games moved over to my laptop so that I can use it to keep my iphone synched and also be able to buy additional games and music and be able to update iphone games and apps while I am travelling. Can anyone please advise me on how to go about getting the same stuff on my laptop so that I can use it to keep my iphone synched while I am travelling? Thanks for any advice. Two people two iPhones one computer same iTunes account 3G

My girl friend and I just recently purchased our own iPhones. Ive owned an iPod for a couple of years so my iTunes account has been active for that long. When I synced MY iPhone it went well I wasnt concerned. However, when my girlfriend synced her iPhone (even after signing herself up for her own account) it put ALL my phone numbers, music, etc., etc., on HER iPhone. Not good for either one of us I must say. So, can two people with two iPhones using the same computer sync to iTunes TOTALLY SEPARATE AND TOTALLY EXCLUSIVE OF EACH OTHERS saved telephone numbers, music, games, pics, etc., etc. Dell Inspiron Windows XP
