It may have been answered already, but how do I forward a text message. I am new to the iPhone and I get forwarded messages sent to me from my sister. I would like to forward some of them on to my contacts but I dont know how to do it. PLEASE HELP ME?! iPhone OS 3.1.3

Recovering conversations or Sending full conversations to another iPhone

When texting with the iPhone, one way to look back at the conversation to refer to a previous text is to hit the edit button. Trouble is, this option gives you the ability to delete or clear an entire text conversation with the push of one button. If someone (not me of course!) has accidentally deleted 5 months worth of texts, which are chock-full of important correspondance, is there any way for:a) this person to recover these texts?b) for the other party who still has these texts to email or send the full five months of back and forth to this other iPhone user? 3GS

Please help! After I did the 3.1.3 update I am no longer able to text message pictures! I called apple customer service and that was no help, can someone help me? It is ridiculous that they offer an update and encourage us to get it done but yet it messes up all of our settings. New 3GS iPhone-unable to send SMSTXT messages

I recently purchased a 16GB 3GS iPhone and am somewhat disappointed with the product. I am now stuck with it, so must persist !My main issue, is the sudden and inexplicable loss of ability to send text messages ! The send icon no longer illuminates (as it is supposed to) and I cannot respond to, or send new text messages. This function worked as advertised for about five days prior to becoming unserviceable.I have updated the firmware/software via iTunes and have constantly rebooted the phone to no effect. Ive also withdrawn and re-inserted the SIM card.Nothing works !!My other major issue with this phone, is the degraded battery life !! I have turned off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and dimmed the display. I barely use the phone for voice conversations and usually only send 10-15 SMS/TXT per day. Heya, I have a problem with my Apple ID. When Im going to download free games from Appstore, they ask me to fill in all the information on Billing Information, in which they send me to that page, and I fill in all thats needed. When I finally click on Submit, a red text appears telling me to type my Apple ID and password, go to Billing Information, and fill in. Theyre basically telling me to do exactly what Im doing. So Im not getting any further. Does someone else have this problem aswell, or am I the first one? And can someone please tell me how to make it right? Windows XP Windows XP

So I really need help to figure this one out. Suddenly when I get a message it only vibrates even though all sounds are on and when someone calls the sound works perfectly normal. I have tried looking under settings - sounds - new text message - and then when I try to choose the sound I want to hear when the new message comes it wont let me listen to it so Im thinking this is where the problem is. My iphone is now showing the predictive text and saying it outloud! I can not shut off the voice. Does anyone know how to shut this off? Everyone around you can hear it when you are texting! I have kept immaculate care of my iPhone 3GS since I bought it last June. I make sure to sync it regularly and it is in great shape. However I have recently discovered that occasionally when I send a text or picture message that the recipient does not get it. Likewise I have not been receiving a large number of text and picture messages. There is primarily 3 people I message regularly and they all report that I am not sending/receiving about 1/5th of the items. Cant Send or Receive Calls and text Messages in My Local Area iPhone 3G

This morning, 6 miles away from home my iPhone worked well. When I arrived home and tried the same, calls and texts failed. There is a cell tower less than one mile from my home and the same thing happened last summer and several weeks ago. AT&T is telling me that I need to replace my phone because when I took the SIM card out and put in into my old RAZR phone it worked. I just put the SIM card back into my iPhone and all is well. AT&T claims to have a problem with the local cell tower, but because my RAZR worked, they are blaming the iPhone. I dont think they are correct. I have restored the iPhone, updated my OS, turned it on and off several times in the process.My iPhone is out of warranty and I cant get an answer from Apple for free. Has anyone had this problem? I have a 3gs in the UK with a SIM from T-Mobile. I cant see how to set up call forwarding to voicemail! If I go to the phone app and press voicemail the phone dials straight to my mailbox which seems to be set up correctly. Hi,I have an iphone 3g, and when Im making calls the screen is still active. Thats a probleme because I can press at anytime mute or other features.I searched on this forum, but the only answer I fund was to remove the cover, which I did but didnt solve the problem.The sensor looks ok as, for exemple, if I go to the iPod > See the Albums as cover and turn the screen it follows. Trouble Sending text messages after updating to 3.1.3 iPhone

So last night I updated to 3.1.3 and now i am having serious trouble sending text messages. At about the 90% mark the sending progress bar stops and then Ill get the red exclamation mark stating my message was not sent. If i try to resend the text about 4 or 5 times it will finally go through. I am at work where I know I have a connection to AT&Ts network. I have never had trouble here before. I have tried resetting the phone multiple times and the network settings. Not sure what to do? Any suggestions would be great. MacBook Pro

When someone calls me, my iPhone automatically recognizes who it is if I have the person as a contact. But when I receive a text message, the persons phone number plus country code shows up, and not the contact name. So, Ive been trying for 3 weeks now to get my phone unlocked / unlatched by O2 in the UK. Ive received 2 text messages telling me it is - it isnt. Ive connected to Itunes with my new Vodafone Sim in lots of times and get the following message sometimes in English and sometimes Spanish -The SIM card inserted in this IPhone does not appear to be supported. Ive completely restored it twice. Ive spoken to O2 who tell me its an apple problem and apple who tell me its an O2 problem. Apparently theyve escalated it in Apple, O2 told me three days ago and now I hear nothing. Any suggestions? The phone works fine when I use my wifes O2 sim. Iphone 3g iPhone OS 3.1.3

texting confusion please help iPhone 3G

Im having a problem with my iPhone 3G. When i text the little send bar at the top stops about 90% of the way across and stays like that. This stops me from recieving new texts until i reset my iPhone. Its really annoying. However even when this happens the messege DOES actually send to the recipient so im confused about whats happening. Im thinking maybe a factory reset will hopefully fix this but i wanted to be sure first! Has anybody else seen anything like this before? PLease help, Thank you PC Windows Vista

When I am typing an text message on my iPhone, a suggested word comes up while I am typing. That is great most of the time, but there are times I do not want to use that word and I can not figure out how to avoid the suggested word from replacing what I am typing. Ive had my iPhone 3G for 2 years and love it. But it decided that it would stop working last night. The power/sleep button hasnt worked for over a year, and now my screen has stopped working (it doesnt recognize me touching it). I know its not frozen because the home button still works Ive been receiving text messages. Any suggestions? Ive tried plugging it in and trying to sync with iTunes and that doesnt work. Im waiting on it to die so it will reset, but in the case that it is still not working after that, Im going to need some help.

Full service but not receiving messages iPhone 3G

I live in an area where it depends on where I am in my house if I will or will not have service. In my bedroom, I would have no problem having full service. Pretty much the entire second floor of my house I have all bars of service. For a two months now, I will have full service and not receive text messages and calls will not go through. I thought that maybe it was a AT&T problem but the other 4 people that live with me who all have iPhones do not have the same problems as I do. They have no problem getting their messages. My iPhone will be next to theirs and I will not receive messages until hours later. I went to the Apple store and they said they couldnt help my because my Apple Care was up and then they wouldnt even bother with me another second. Also I went to the AT&T store and got a new SIMS card and that did not solve the problem. I have restored my phone NUMEROUS times thinking it would help but its not! Is this my phones problem? Every time my phone locks up and the screen goes black and I go to unlock it, I notice that I no longer have reception (only in my house). When this happens, I miss calls and text messages show up hours later. When I receive a message on my 16gb iphone in locked position, a window shows who the text is from, but when I slide the bar to open the phone, it opens at the last application I had open, not the text message. I have to return to the main menu and click on messages to open it. This happens about 90% of the time and is very frustrating.
