Call forwarding active iPhone 3G

Every time I make a call, instantly call forwarding active window appears locking me out until I close it.I have spoke as it started after update 3.1.2 to Apple who confirmed there was an Issue with the firmware 3.1.3 which I was now on, they told me to do a backup in itunes as a new user logged onto my imac then go back to my own account & restore my Apps etc; which I did, BUT it did not work.Iphone is factory unlocked used in 3 different countries so different sim cards & Call forwarding Active comes up on all of them. All ICONS missing iPhone 3G

I just bought my new iPhone 3G and was exploring the phone. I mistakenly pressed Reset button under settings (not even further reset buttons), after which all the application icons are missing, except for YouTube, Stocks, Weather, Voice Memos, Clock & Settings. Even the phone options at bottom bar is missing. I cant even make phone or send text or access any of the iPhone applications. I tried rebooting the phone couple of times, reset all factory settings, reset home screen layout, but nothing works. Restrictions are off. I cant figure out what to do. Barely audible text message sound iPhone

When I send a text, go back to the home screen, and receive a new text, my normal text message sound plays. However, when I send a text and lock the phone, without going back to the home screen, if the same recipient texts me back, it will play a sound that is barely audible. It wont even notify me of a new text. I will see that I received a message if I randomly look at my phone. I should add that my normal text sound is the bell, and the barely audible sound is the one where you receive a message as you have the SMS app open. Big difference when you hear the two in terms of volume.Is there anyway to have it notify me with the same sound, rather than the barely audible sound when my phone is locked? iPhone iPhone OS 3.1.3

Bogus voicemail notifications iPhone

Every time I DELETE a voicemail on my iPhone 3G, I get a text message. The message says:***************************text from 1 (23)voicemail 0 New 0 UrgentClose Reply***************************Whats even worse, sometimes this happens on its own, in the middle of the night, probably when it decides to archive some of the old voicemails. This is driving me crazy. Europe trip use iPhone for text messages disabling voicemail

Ill be in Europe for ten days later this month. Id like to take my US ATT iPhone with me to use purely for text messaging. Im willing to pay $0.50 to send and receive an occasional text message, if it makes coordinating travel plans a little easier.However, to avoid ATTs egregious international roaming and data charges, Id like to disable the voice phone and voice mail capabilities of my iPhone - as if Id turned off my phone, or left it home in the US.Is this possible? iPhone 3GS will not make or receive calls.

Over the past week my iPhone (which has worked perfectly for 6 months) had stopped making or receiving calls. My phone will work one minute then 24 hours later, i get 15 voicemails and text messages at 1 time from people that i have been trying to call me. Its as if i have no reception,then it will kick back in all of a sudden. The same goes when i try to make calls. I try to dial and it either freezes or just says cant connect and returns to home screen. Its getting worse as the days go on. Ive restored network setting, updated it on iTunes but it sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. LGP1 Windows XP

MMS Messaging Not Sent on my 3GS iPhone

Last two days I am having trouble sending MMS messages. Get a red exclamation circle after the message. I cleared out loads of photos/apps/messages thinking that the phone might be a bit crowded (mine takes an age to sync). Still having problems. Then yesterday daughter and son-in-law started having the same problem. These are not messages with photos - just basic one or two lines of text. Could receive texts OK during this time. 3GS

I want to set my phone so that incoming text messages make my phone vibrate without a chime and incoming phone calls ring and vibrate. I cant figure out how to do that if its even possible. Can anyone help? iPhone 3Gs

recieving MMS iPhone

On my iPhone 3GS I received an MMS earlier from a Sprint blackberry user. Showed up in my emails as an email, picture attached. (after fetching via sprints mail service)Later received an MMS from another Sprint Blackberry user (different person) and it came through in my messages window as a text would. What gives? On a side note, didnt think iPhones could get MMS. 3GS 16gig

This has happened occasionally ever since MMS was enabled. And it only happens when someone sends an email (not a text or MMS from another phone) to <mynumber@mms.att.net>. Not Receiving Video Messages from Palm Pre iPhone

Palm recently upgraded their OS to allow people to send video messages through MMS. My friend has been trying to send videos to my iPhone but I never receive them even though pictures and regular text messages come through just fine. He has sent them to other people on other networks and theres no problem. The videos are short, 10 secs or less, so thats not the issue. Hello All,My first post on this forum ...Ive searched but havent found anything prior on this topic.I can forward calls from my iPhone, but I have to type in the whole number unless its the one I last used. This is primitive usability. It should have an option to search contacts to choose a number from there, or at least remember the last several numbers entered. Received text alert noise going off but actual msg not iPhone 3G

I have been dealing with this for a couple months now. The noise will go off once or twice a day without the actual text coming through. I am getting complaints that I dont reply to texts and I confirm that I should be receiving these texts by looking at their sent folders. I get no error message. I called iPhone support and they told me to upgrade to 3.1 software which I did but the problem persists. Please help None iPhone OS 3.1.3

Recovering conversations or Sending full conversations to another iPhone

When texting with the iPhone, one way to look back at the conversation to refer to a previous text is to hit the edit button. Trouble is, this option gives you the ability to delete or clear an entire text conversation with the push of one button. Please help! After I did the 3.1.3 update I am no longer able to text message pictures! I called apple customer service and that was no help, can someone help me? It is ridiculous that they offer an update and encourage us to get it done but yet it messes up all of our settings. New 3GS iPhone-unable to send SMSTXT messages

I recently purchased a 16GB 3GS iPhone and am somewhat disappointed with the product. I am now stuck with it, so must persist !My main issue, is the sudden and inexplicable loss of ability to send text messages ! The send icon no longer illuminates (as it is supposed to) and I cannot respond to, or send new text messages. This function worked as advertised for about five days prior to becoming unserviceable.I have updated the firmware/software via iTunes and have constantly rebooted the phone to no effect. Ive also withdrawn and re-inserted the SIM card.Nothing works !!My other major issue with this phone, is the degraded battery life !! I have turned off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and dimmed the display. I barely use the phone for voice conversations and usually only send 10-15 SMS/TXT per day. Apple ID not really working. iPhone 3G

Heya, I have a problem with my Apple ID. When Im going to download free games from Appstore, they ask me to fill in all the information on Billing Information, in which they send me to that page, and I fill in all thats needed. When I finally click on Submit, a red text appears telling me to type my Apple ID and password, go to Billing Information, and fill in. Theyre basically telling me to do exactly what Im doing. So Im not getting any further. Does someone else have this problem aswell, or am I the first one? And can someone please tell me how to make it right? Windows XP Windows XP

So I really need help to figure this one out. Suddenly when I get a message it only vibrates even though all sounds are on and when someone calls the sound works perfectly normal. I have tried looking under settings - sounds - new text message - and then when I try to choose the sound I want to hear when the new message comes it wont let me listen to it so Im thinking this is where the problem is. My iphone is now showing the predictive text and saying it outloud! I can not shut off the voice. Does anyone know how to shut this off? Everyone around you can hear it when you are texting! Failure to sendreceive SMS and MMS iPhone

I have kept immaculate care of my iPhone 3GS since I bought it last June. I make sure to sync it regularly and it is in great shape. However I have recently discovered that occasionally when I send a text or picture message that the recipient does not get it. Likewise I have not been receiving a large number of text and picture messages. There is primarily 3 people I message regularly and they all report that I am not sending/receiving about 1/5th of the items. Cant Send or Receive Calls and text Messages in My Local Area iPhone 3G

This morning, 6 miles away from home my iPhone worked well. When I arrived home and tried the same, calls and texts failed. There is a cell tower less than one mile from my home and the same thing happened last summer and several weeks ago. AT&T is telling me that I need to replace my phone because when I took the SIM card out and put in into my old RAZR phone it worked. I just put the SIM card back into my iPhone and all is well. AT&T claims to have a problem with the local cell tower, but because my RAZR worked, they are blaming the iPhone. I dont think they are correct. I have restored the iPhone, updated my OS, turned it on and off several times in the process.My iPhone is out of warranty and I cant get an answer from Apple for free. Has anyone had this problem? Voicemail setup-stumped iPhone

I have a 3gs in the UK with a SIM from T-Mobile. I cant see how to set up call forwarding to voicemail! If I go to the phone app and press voicemail the phone dials straight to my mailbox which seems to be set up correctly. Screen still active during calls iPhone 3G

Hi,I have an iphone 3g, and when Im making calls the screen is still active. Thats a probleme because I can press at anytime mute or other features.I searched on this forum, but the only answer I fund was to remove the cover, which I did but didnt solve the problem.The sensor looks ok as, for exemple, if I go to the iPod > See the Albums as cover and turn the screen it follows.
