I'm restoring my iPhone 4S on iTunes 11.0 and it's stuck on restoring firmware
My phone won't send picture messages to any phone other than an iPhone and when I googled it, the solution was to restore it.So I did. Downloading the software itself took nearly 3 hours, but whatever. My phone restarted, but now the bar is stuck at ~3/4 done and it's on "restoring firmware". It's been this way for over 20min. I use iTunes 11.0 and Windows 7.Can anyone help me out? Would it be bad to reboot my computer at this stage?

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

volume lower than ipod iPhone 5
when i bought my iphone5 the volume was the same as that of my ipod. after i ve updated it to ios 6.1.4 the volume has degraded. Is this due to the ios update or in the manufacture of the iphone 5 ? kindly help

Iphone 5 keeps turning itself off
Hi Ive had iphone 5 since it came out, and recently this year, its been turning itself off with plenty of battery life and wont allow me to turn it back on until I have plugged it into wall charger to 'charge' it back up. When its plugged in, it returns to the battery level it was originaly at....30%, 50% for example. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Im going to do a iCloud and computer back up and restore firmware see if that helps?Chris

Have G4, downloaded photos and videos to Windows 7 Ultimate PC. Photos and videos showed up in an ipod Photo Cache file with a Photo Database and .ithmb files. I am looking for a "reliable" .ithmb converter to jpg, and likewise for the video format. TY:)
iPhone images won t restore after phone reset
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me as my wife's iPhone completely froze up after synching with the latest version of iTunes. In the end, the only thing she could do was re-set the iPhone, thereby of course losing everything. Reconnecting to her laptop restored music and most apps, it seems she has to re-download the other apps again direct to the phone. Now the problem is images. There is an ipod cache directory on the laptop Pictures directory, and in this are folders labelled F00, F01 etc.. and a "Photo Database" file. In each of the Fnn directories is a series of files, called Txxx.ithmb, each of which is about 1,500KB. Doing a backup from the laptop indicates there are about 2900 files overall.Altogether there is about 3GB in this folder, so it looks to be a lot of space. Pointing iTunes to the directory containing all this and synching, still results in zero images being found. She went to the local Apple store for help, to be told these are not the images, but then elsewhere I have read that these are the full files, and this proprietary format contains three different resolution images. If the images taken on the iPhone are not here, where are they? Finally, how on earth do we convince iTunes to recognize these files and imporrt them again? Sorry to be thick but losing everything thanks to the latest iTunes was rather catastrophic! Any help/ideas/suggestions greatfully received... The photo files were a mix of photos taken on the iPhone and images previously uploaded from the laptop. Cheers Chipontheroad

I recently purchased an iPhone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. iPhone 5 lockscreen green glow
Hey. My iPhone 5 is currently on firmware 6.0.2 and there is an apparent green glow in the lower parts of the lockscreen when I unlock the phone and it gets more prominent if the phone has been unlocked after a longer time. The glow is a lot like the screenshot of other users facing the same problem. Now, I saw that everyone was getting it fixed by asking for a replacement. My problem is, the phone was bought in the UK and I am currently in Bangladesh where there are no official Apple stores. How should I ask for a replacement and what should be the procedure for it? Really would appreciate some help in this matter

iPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls
Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!! ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

wifi issue iphone 4s
I have been racking my brain with a wifi issue with my iphone 4s. I cannot toggle the wifi switch to on to allow the phone to search for wifi networks. It seems like an issue with the hardware in the phone. I have done numerous backups and restore to factory settings but the phone refuses to wipe out the existing wifi adress set into the phone and the only way to change this is through the on off function in the phone which I cannot switch on.I cannot restore back to older firmware as even on factory reset it uses 6.1.3 as the OS. I figure this is an apple issue with the phone and needs to be taken back? Barney
not purchase LifeProof case iPhone 5
Less than two months ago, I purchased an iPhone 4S 16G, as well as a LifeProof case, which the dealer told me was superior to an Otterbox. It is touted to be waterproof, dirtproof, snow/iceproof, and shockproof. Up until today, I have been quite pleased with my case, though the screen protector does make it a bit harder to to tap the screen. Today, I had my phone in my pocket. When I bent over, it fell out and hit the ground from a height of two feet. It was completely in its case, and I had performed all the checks recommended before using the case. It fell on to carpet. When I picked it up, the case was undamaged, but the entire front of my phone was shattered. It look as though it had been hit by a bullet. The screen still worked, but it was covered with tiny shards of glass. The damage seemed focused around the ear speaker at the top of the phone. I have in the past dropped an ipod touch, sans case, face down onto tile, and the damage was about 4x less than the current damage on my phone. I immediately called Apple, who told me that the warranty did not apply to my situation (though this was not a surprise). I would have to replace my phone, refurbished for $150 or new for $200. I then called LifeProof, at which point I discovered that their warranty only covers the case. They will not refund your phone, though they offered to give me a new case. The person I spoke to told me that he used a LifeProof case, and that his screen had cracked several times while using it. He recommended going to an independent phone dealership who would repair my screen. In short, this overpriced case does almost nothing. To be fair, I have had no problems with the waterproof aspect of the case. However, it will not protect your phone from even the most minor drop that would normally not damage the phone at all. I have seen several accounts of LifeProof owners who put their phone in their pocket and pull it out cracked. This case is not worth $1, let alone $80. For emphasis, I have included some photos of what my phone looks like after the fall. Remember, this was only two feet and onto carpet while in the supposedly shock-proof case.
Nike won't let me sync my workout data over wifi iPhone 4
I recently bought nike+ sensor and have just been for a run in it. However it won't let me upload my workout data via wifi. It comes up with a message saying: Nike+ipod cannot sync workouts because nike+ service is unavailable. I have tried and tried and again and it doesn't work. Sin embargo funcionaba perfecto con la red de T-Mobile. Al comprar el equipo directamente con Apple me aseguraron que serviría para México. Los técnicos no pueden ayudarme. No entienden por qué reconoce por un minuto o dos la red pero no tarda en aparecer NO SERVICE ¿qué puedo hacer? Ayuda ¡Gracias!
iPhone 5 battery drain
I got an iPhone 5 on Friday and the battery *****. I've read every single forum, done everything, reset all settings, drained battery to 0 and then back up, even restarted to factory settings, turned off push, limited notifications, every thing every forum has told me to do. I even went to apple and they were no help at all, telling me my battery was normal. I don't think sleeping with 100% and waking up with 75% is normal, or getting 2 hours if limited use from my phone throughout the day. I have no idea what to do and I'm getting so tired of this. I did not pay 1000$ and wait 5 months for this. I really expected so much more. Someone help me, and give me a right answer, to help me fix this. Seriously getting so ******. Problema con el Reproductor / Musica:La cancion ya termino y no se cambia la caratula y empieza la otra a sonar, o la cancion se esta reproduciendo y la barra de la cancion (no del volumen) no avanza se queda en 0:00 y la cancion esta sonando e incluso acaba la cancion empieza la otra y la que puse originalmente esta en la pantalla principal. No se si este problema venga relacionado con lo del control del volumen. La verdad si sabe alguien como solucionar estos dos inconvenientes se lo agradecere mucho. Airplay Mirroring and HBO Go Audio Problems iPhone 3G
Hi folks, Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of Airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting Airplay (Youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!

I recently quit my job. When i worked there I was using an iPhone 5 but had to give it up when I left. I have an iPhone 4s and wanted to backup my first phone on to this one. 1) I backed up my iPhone 5 to itunes.2) I plugged in my iPhone 4s and couldnt do a restore because the firmware was out of date. It instructed me to do it as a new phone and then do a buckup. So I set it up as a new phone.3) Updated firmware on 4s4) Restored phone to my iPhone 5 backup. Now everything went well except Im missing some apps. So I have 2 questions: Q1) What apps come with the Iphone 4s, what I cant get out of the app store? Q2) How do I get them back? I am missing iTunes and Music already that I know of and I want to use the phone for music of course. Thanks, the help would be great

Pls have this to pay attention for. If this is a hardware problem, what must be done to repair it? If that's a bug, when shall A.guys have a fix for that.BTW, may that be a problem actually linked to Bluetooth connectivity in the first turn? Bluetooth connectivity option is constantly "trying to determine it's state" (BT option setting shows "busy" running circle instead of on/off state), and after it finally gets to off state there appears to happen some change to wifi option behavior. Once it had even started back for an hour, but fell back to disabled soon afterwards.At least both these problems appeared together at the same time.All possible resets, firmware restores and 6.0.1 did not fix that. Shall I need to jailbreak the OS to fix it? And btw, the whole situation already ran a lot of people into high spendings for their 2g/3G overwhelming cellular data traffic. Apple to apologize for that at least? Or shall there be iPhone 6 and the problem would remain unfixed and unnoticed?

Boa noite Galera! Tenho um iphone 4 original adquirido na claro, E de um tempo pra ca ele começou a reiniciar sozinho e não para de reiniciar. Não consigo fazer backup restore pelo itunes pois ele só fica reiniciando e não consigo retirar o bloqueio de senha e restaurar um backup. to cut a long story short. I was interested in an i-phone... got the details..checked them all.. on the phone and with the provider, VODAPHONE... told unlocked, not stolen etc etc. proceeded to buy the phone...new sim topped up £10 only to find it wouldn't work... Went into vodaphone store..been running around following thier advice..(they said I need a friend who is a customer on vodaphone to get passed the unlocking with a vodaphone code.. and they would do it for free given the circumstances...so i run errands go back and forth doing as they asked...got nowhere) SO IT IS NOW A MONTH LATER..and after complaining and complaining to thier email site and repeatedly asking for help in store..I am stumped as what to do and just have a glorified ipod. I WILL NOT BE FORCED TO REMAIN ON THE VODAPHONE NETWORK given the situation they have put me in and thier unwillingness to help so i refuse to use the phone with vodaphone... BUT WHAT can i do PLEASEEEEEEE? all they keep on suggesting is that I get the original owners details but he is not answering anything...and the phone is not registered as stolen etc so what is the problem!? As you can imagine I am really peeved by the whole thing as I actually carried out all the necessary checks, and whilst the phone was not bought directly from vodaphone, I went to them as the provider, to find otu about unlocking etc as it is always advised to do so..and it was them that gave me the wrong information but they still will not resolve the issue. I have even sent them phone records to confirm when I rung and the name of the invalid who told me the phone was unlocked in the first place. I really would much appreciate any help as they are ignoring my emails now.

Problema WiFi iphone 4S
Estou com um problema no meu WiFi no iPhone 4S. Comprei meu celular a 1 ano atras, e tive que troca-lo por defeito no fone de ouvido. O aparelho novo foi trocado pouco antes de encerrar a garantia do mesmo, e esse modelo que me deram na garantia está apresentando problemas no WiFi e no Bluetooth, eles não conectam e nao encontram as redes. Primeiramente o botão do WiFi ficou apagado, mas descobri que se deixar a bateria do celular acabar totalmente, logo após carrega-lo o botão volta a funcionar porém não encontra redes sem fio. O Bluetooth não funciona também, ele não acha dispositivos para emparelhamento.Ja levei na assistencia técnica, e eles também não conseguiram resolver meu problema. A solução "brilhante" encontrada pela autorizada Apple era em trocar meu aparelho por um valor aproximado de R$600,00. o que ficará totalmente inviável levando em consideração que o aparelho não possui 3 meses de uso. OBS. O problema começou a aparecer cerca de 2 semanas após a troca do aparelho na garantia. Seria a solução do PROCON?

What s wrong with my iphone
Ok so, since yesterday afternoon, while i was on my facebook, it suddenly popped out that there's a problem with the connection blah blah blah, but it was still connected to the wifi, so I just ignored it for a while, until i want to use it but i can't, coz every app that needs wifi was just loading & loading and it took forever but i wasn't updating to the latest post like that.. I opened my tumblr, twitter, instagram, imessage and facebook, but it's stuck on the same last post from yesterday. It really bothers me, I reset the network setting for a couple of times, and nothing happens. If you're gonna ask what carrier i have, It's MTS but i don't have a sim. Yet i can still use it like an ipod. the push notfication shows on my iphone, like when it's locked and someone message me on fb or retweet something on twitter. Then when i do open that notification, and the app will load then it'll stop. I also updated it to the latest iOS (6.1.3) a month ago. What do i need to do??? Need Help.
iPhone 5 has wrong apple ID email address it my phone but has son s email address-now I cannot update anything
The apple ID associated with my iphone is showing up as my son's ID for his ipod Touch 5th gen. When I look into the settings everything is set to my email address, but when I attempt to update it shows his email address and says I have the wrong password. I did not have this issue until I updated the iOS system. Can anyone help?

hi all...yesterday i tried to update my Iphone 4S using itunes to version 6.3.1 and my phone was on 5.1 firmware initially..everything run well but when the software was installing on the phone it gave error (unknown error -1) and now is stuck in DFU and recovery mode..i am unable to recover my phone back to normal..tried each and every way available on the internet.. i manually donwloaded 6.1.3 and put in the software update folder in itunes folder in C: clicked restore..itune validated the software through apple.com, restoration on the phone started but then again the same error -1...plz plz plz help me am really screwed and tense...thnxx....
Facebook Home on iPhone and iPad
How can I get it across to Apple that the moment they let Facebook Home take over the home page on my iPhone or iPad I am gone forever and will never EVER buy an iPhone or ipod ever again? Facebook want to know far too much detail about my life as it is. Why would I want them to be able to track my every movement and know who I am calling on my iPhone. This is an infingement on my/your privacy. If news paper journalists can get done for hacking into yours or my phone, what will Facebook get? And what will Apple get if they are found to be helping Facebook gather this information without the iPhone users consent??????
I bought Bluetooth speaker for my ipod. My ipod and iPhone s 2 and iPad not find speaker to pair. When I tried my friend's Samsung phone it worked. Already checked for OS updates settings for Bluetooth turned off and on. No benefit. iPhone 5

hi i just reset my setting in genral on my iphone 4 and it turned on as new device and said connect to itunes and now restoring it but it stops at restoring iphone firmware its taken about half an hour just to but its not loading please help

I purchased a factory unlocked 64gb a1428 iphone 5 last November for use on T-Mobile's network. It is my understanding that there were no hardware changes between the at&t a1428 and the upcoming T-Mobile a1428, as the Qualcomm radio is firmware upgradeable. I understand that there will not be a user friendly flash upgrade (I wouldn't trust an enduser to administer a firmware update that can permanately brick their phones), So I was wondering if those of us with factory unlocked phones would be able to have the upgrade done at an apple support center?

iPhone apps keep moving when new ones added
My sons ipod touch is on my account. When he adds an app it used to go on the last page of my iPhone but now they end up installing on the second page and then move other apps around. Is there a setting to keep them only adding on my last page. Thanks so much, Phil

Hello, some of my iPhone applications will not finish updating nor install. What's happening is applications from an ipod touch is syncing with my iPhone and they are not installing. How can I fix this without having to hold down an app and to uninstall all of them and to start from scratch. Thank you.
