Touch Screen Insensitivity iphone 5

Is anyone having issues with a lack of sensitivity  of iphone 5 screen. I am having to touch items several times to select or scroll the screen, when it does scroll it "jumps" to catch up making it hard to operate smoothly. I Also notice that the screen appears to have shifted up slightly cutting off top of wi-fi and battery symbols. These symptoms don't always happen and I cant be sure I can show them to a Genius. This my 4th iphone, so my expectations are only what I have experienced with the others.

My iphone 4 has locked after an attempt to update. The phone screen is now displaying the i tunes and usb cable symbols.

My iphone was working perfectly at 17:00  but by 18:00 the left side of my screen wasnt working,I done a reset and updated to 6.0.1, and now part of it has come back but i now cannot open the first or third application on the left and i now have to hold down my symbols key until i type the first symbol. Any suggestions, it isn't covered by apple warrenty but I can pay to get it fixed if need be, but would like to avoid that, nearest apple store is about 25 miles away

Several weird quirks all at same time. iphone

My iphone 4s just started doing several really weird things all at the same time. 1. I cannot open my email. I have tried turning off/on my phone several times to no avail. reinput all my info into the mail setup. nothing.2. My text messages come through, but my phone does not alert me. I suddenly see that I have a text, but not alert, no vibrate, no banner. then, several hours after I read my message, an alert may, or may not come through for that message.3. My phone is set to go into sleep mode after 1 minute, but it will not go into sleep mode unless I hit the sleep button on top. 4. My keyboard is not working properly, the letter pops up when I touch it, but doesn't actually input into my text unless I press it again several times. this does not happen with every letter everytime, but it does happen with all the letters/numbers/symbols some of the time. especially the space.5. The phone gets incredibly hot when in use for more than a few minutes, and while charging.  any ideas?????

my phone now only displays symbols to connect to itunes but now not recognised in itunes iphone 4

Does anyone know how to reset the phone if itunes does not recognise it? I tried updating to ios6 and it encountered an error and now my phone just shows the display to connect the phone to itunes, but itunes does not recognise it in the left hand display.

How I extend length of time my iphone rings before voicemail cuts in If I need to use password how I access on my iphone I m new user.

I've been trying to find how to do that but despite searching all over the place I still can't anything that lets me say this was helpful or correct. All I have is the Legend that shows  the symbols but doesn't let me click onto them. I'll keep looking.

Built-in iphone stocks widget not remember added stock symbols

I add a few (3-4) stock symbols to the built-in iOS stock widget.  It shows the info, includes them in the Notification ticker tape, etc.  But after a day or less, it resets back to showing AAPL only.  Consistent, repeatable problem.  Any ideas how to fix this?  I know I can always "get another app" but I was hoping somebody knows how to fix this one.Thank you

Factory unlocked iphone 4S on Tmobile cant receive emoji from ATT

My factory unlocked iphone 4S on T-Mobile cant receive Emoji icons from an ATT iphone. Instead I see a bunch of weird symbols, but the ATT iphone can receive emoji's from my phone. Also some of my friends have a verizon iphone and I can receive their Emoji icons, and they can receive mine. At one point I was able to receive emoji icons from ATT iPhones. Is this a problem on ATT's network or T-Mobile's ? any help would be greatly appreciated !

Lots of problems with iphone 4S

Guys having the following problems with my 2nd iphone 4S just wondering if anyone has the same kind of problems, have restored twice  one as a new phone and as a back up of original iphone. Phone sent back to Apple for examanation. Phone will charge to 98% intermittently a few times a weekPhone will discharge fully in approx. 15-16 hours most days even though it could be powered off for 2-3 hours during this time and has very light usage.Phone has problems sending text msgs and mms msgs. Frequently comes up msg send failure! Even though full 3G reception.Phone can take up to 2 -3 mins at times to locate a full 5 bar 3G signal when powered on even though I work within the vicinity of a 3G mast,  My Ipad gets instant 3G connection.Also switching bands a lot going from 3G to O a lot and sometimes comes up with the following symbols  -----  on screen  even though I  live and work in an area with 5 bar 3G coverage.Call failure will happen quite frequently too.This was a replacement handset I was issued with in December 2011 by Apple

No volume control or sound from speaker ringer works ok iphone 4

When playing music, video, games etc I haveno sound from the speakerno volume control (from the slider or the hard keys)ringer still worksmute button is off (symbols shows it goes off and on)can hear everything fine if I plug the headphones in iphone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) Can anyone help?

Hello, Recently, some of my girlfriends text messages that i recieve are weird symbols, has anyone had this problem before? I've tried turning the phone off and on but some texts randomly show up as symobs- not all the time but some of the time. Any help out there? Thank you

iphone 4 will not charge but shows plug to power source symbol help

I purchased my new iphone 4 (32GB) about a month ago just before Christmas (2010). About a night ago I was speaking on my iphone when the battery died and the iphone shut itself off. Now I have run down the battery before and understand the phone requires a good 10-15 minutes plugged in before it will switch back on.Upon plugging iphone in and leaving for quite some time all I was shown initially was the large battery symbol in the middle of the screen the lightening bolt symbol underneath. After a few seconds the lower lightening bolt symbol flashes between the bolt and a plug symbol pointing via an arrow to another lightening bolt symbol.The battery refuses to take charge and so will not switch back on. And this symbol on appears when I plug the phone in. The charger is fine as the phone recognises it has been plugged in. I even tried my friends identical iphone charger and the same symbols appeared. This also occurred upon plugging the phone into my MacBook Pro. iTunes even did not recognise the phone was plugged in.I have not had any progress from these symbols since this happened two nights ago and would be very grateful for any advice anybody might have please. Unfortunately I live in Leeds, UK and my nearest Apple retailer is very far in Sheffield, and without a phone I cannot call Apple Technical Support.Much appreciated,Andy F. iphone 4 32GB iOS 4

Strange message I cant decipher-Help iphone

I wasnt any where near my phone when this message popped up, but it rang as if getting text message. I picked it up and pushed the home key. The Lock Screen didnt appear as normal. Instead there was this load of jumbled text and symbols that have no meaning to me at all, with a button at the bottom saying Dismiss. Missing numeric keypad on iphone 3G

Just noticed a difference on 2G and 3G, both running 3.1.3.In Messages app, if you go to enter a new message....The keypad comes up and the cursor is in the To field. But, if you press 123 on the keypad on the 2G, a handy numeric keypad appears which is great, as you only really press the letters if you know the contact name to search for. Punching in a new number on the fly is much easier on this large keypad.But on the 3G, the button is _123 and you then get symbols and small numerals along the top row - much tricker to enter a new contact number.Why? How to re-load OS 3.0 without iTunes My iphone has NON-Apple alien OS. 3G

My iphone has a NON-Apple alien Chinese OS running. This OS caused iTunes to NOT see the phone on USB when I connect the phone to the computer. I want to re-load the non-Apple OS to Apple version 3.0 but I cannot because iTunes does not see the phone. I know the os is Chinese and alien because none of the icons are correct, example I see no ipod, its labeled audioplayer. I see no Safari, its labeled services and so on. I also can NOT see the about, its not found. I have a video recorder it works, I thought iphone 3G can not run videos. I have lots of Chinese games and symbols. I do have the at&t SIM, it works OK, and I just want to load the phone with the latest Apple 3G version 3.0 OS and have iTunes see the phone like every other American iphone but I can not figure out how to do that without iTunes seeing the iphone. iphone 3G Other OS 3G OS is Chinese

Newly purchased mp3 downloads wont sync but all other music does iphone

Hi there,Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Yesterday I purchased 2 programs from a company on the internet. They have 5 tracks each. When I downloaded them, they went straight to iTunes and played just fine. They won't however sync to my iphone, even though the playlists are still checked under the music tab when I go to sync my phone. I did notice that there are little internet/airport symbols next to the title of each track. I've never seen this before and am thinking that, somehow, this is connected to the problem. When i click on the tracks and go to Get Info, under the where section, there is the company's website with the option to edit URL. Perhaps there is something I can change that will take away the interent symbols and get them onto my iphone.Please, please, please help...I really need these tracks to be portable.Thank you so much....Peace and prosperity...Becky

Bezel and screen coming off at top right corner of iphone 3G

Hello, recently my iphone has been falling apart! There are about 30-50 dust pieces underneath my iphone screen. Not only that but I am more worried that the bezel and and screen are starting to some off the iphone itself! Eventually a crack from the dock port up to the symbols and logos appeared cracking the plastic without any accidental damage, just appeared one day. So far it has been just been 9 months since Ive gotten it. Is it possible for me to go to an Apple Retail Store and ask for a swap? When I first bought the device Wireless Wave told me if any damage or defect came up theyd replace it with a 3G S from an apple retailer store. Erase All Settings Phone Now CrashedBricked iphone 3G

attempted to erase all settings. phone is basically unresponsive now. looked at phone about 1 hour into process. all that was on the screen was the apple symbol and an icon that indicates the phone is trying to do something but the icon wasnt spinning or anything. ive tried a hard reset (hold power button and menu button for 10 seconds) but that isnt doing anything but displaying the same symbols as before.whats my next move here. is the phone somehow bricked up? 3g iphone OS 3.0.1

I have tried playing audio/video from numerous sites (for instance a podcast on EPSN mobile) and my iphone keeps loading a webpage with numerous symbols instead of the player. These always played without issue in the past. Any ideas as to why this is occurring? iphone OS 3.0.1

SMS contains symbols instead of message iphone

At random times when I send text messages, the recipient receives a message with either @ or upside down @ symbols instead of the intended message. This happened the first time (to my knowledge) on June 28, 2009, and at that time I had the iphone 3G. I now have the 3GS, and it has been happening again. AT&T has no idea why it is happening or what to do (apparently). The representative re-registered my phone after having me send a text message to some sort of test number that in turn sends a reply which indicates that text messaging is working on my iphone. I have checked with all of my friends who also have an iphone, and none of them indicate having any problems. I plan to contact Apple tomorrow morning, but I am just curious if this is happening or has happened to anyone else, and how they resolved the issue. iphone 3GS iphone OS 3.0.1

3.0.1 stuck my iphone 3G in recovery mode

So, I wanted to sync a couple newly purchased albums to my iphone today, and when I went to sync iTunes made me aware of a new update (3.0.1). Thinking why not I chose the Download & Install option.It downloaded, but couldnt complete the install as halfway through it gave me an error stating that it couldnt update my iphone.I then realized my phone was now giving me the icon that says to connect to iTunes (icon with the iTunes and USB symbols). However, even though it WAS connected to iTunes nothing was coming up on iTunes about any kind of restore.I tried hard resetting my iphone to no avail as when I turn it back on it just keeps on coming back.I have no option to do any type of restore, my iTunes isnt reading my phone (I know the computer is reading it, because I can hear the default USB connection sound when I plug my phone in) and I dont know what to do!All help is appreciated as soon as possible.All other details will be given if necessary.Message was edited by: Inf4mou5 Gateway Windows XP

Outgoing texts being received with errors iphone

Sinc ei upgraded to 3.0, people who have been receiving text messages from me have been telling me that my texts are being received with a random assortment of symbols and letters thrown around. For example, a text sent from me with the message Hey whats up? will appear to the receiver as $$H$e$y$ %#∟wµòhaÆts& *u*p*?, or something along those lines. This is happening with about 50% of my texts, and hasnt seemed to follow any pattern, i.e. not specific to receiver or receivers carrier (though i have not heard complaints from other iphone users i know). Unreadable and Blank text messages iphone

I have two friends I have sent regular texts to that are receiving blank texts from me or texts with each letter with @ symbols between each character, l@i@k@e t@h@i@s.It seems the blank messages occur when I have pasted something into a text. How send SMS to email address-cant fnd iphone

On my other phones I have had I can specify an email address as the recipient of an SMS message. I cant figure out how to do that on the iphone if the recipients email address is not already saved as my contacts, mainly because I cannot find the symbols like @ and . that are needed for an email address. I have troubling with my iphone recently especially when sending text messages/emails and arranging icons.1. Keyboardsomehow the letters e,s are not working properly ,even the numbers/symbols ,(designated to the letters e,s) no matter how many times I press them.2. Arranging the app iconsMoving the icons from different page is a messed.. Whenever I hold the app icon on my finger tip and move it along the left side of the screen, the problem is that it just sits right next to the far left icon and the far left icon is picked up instead. I cant even change the positions of the first column of icons with the second column.I resetted my iphone but the problem still persists.
