Water Damage iPhone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iPhone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iPhone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iPhone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN ERROR 2001 and UNKNOWN ERROR 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iPhone 4S when the next generation iPhone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

iPhone 5 seizing randomly-unable to be used

I am not the most technically inclined, so please bear with me.  About two months ago, lines began showing up in Safari every now and again. They would go away, so I didn't think too much of it. Then one night, while in a game app, the screen began "flashing" like a strobelight. It couldn't exit the app fully, was blinking half the screen in the app, part of the home screen, etc. You cannot see throught the commotion to use the phone, if the programs can even open. This happened all evening, through the night, and the entire following day. Then it stopped.  It was fine when I took it to the AT&T store (the closest Apple store is 45 minutes away, so I wanted to be sure AT&T couldn't do anything for me) but by opening and closing programs and apps, I was able to force it to act up. Of course when I left the store, it worked fine again.  It was fine for a few days, acting up only a time or two, but I drove 45 minutes to the Apple store. My Genius Bar member told me it was software based and that I should restore the phone, download the software again, and manually add my media back on. After the four+ hours of downloading and 2+ hours of adding media, it was fine again. That was about two weeks ago. Now it's back.  I looked into the diagnostics (what I can see through the noise on the screen) and I have many different errors going on. Googling these errors codes is not providing much information, and again, I am not the best with this stuff.  SO:-Is a latestcrash.plist or mediaserverd.plist the same as a panic.plist code? In turn, if they are, will Apple replace the phone as they supposedly do in the case of panic.plist crashes? -I've noticed a bunch of the issues seem related to audio and video functions on the phone. I have AudioToolbox, CoreFoundation, and CoreQuartz codes, for example. Are these things that would justify a replacement? I am sitting through another 4 hour software download right now in order to restore the phone again, but am afraid to lose that diagnostics info, but also cannot see the screen to send any diagnostics info to Apple. Is this something that is software based? Does that mean I am going to be doing this every few weeks? The phone is only 6 months old, but I don't want to let it go and loet the one year manufacturer's warranty.  I apologize for being so verbose but I really cannot find anything online that sounds similar to what my phone is doing. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

phone in recovery mode but cannot restore with error code 21 26 iPhone 4S

After my latest update on my iPhone 4 my phone started just shutting down and restarting by itself. I have tried to restore the phone with the latest version of iTunes but now get the error message that iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode. Well that's fine, I selected recovery and when it appears that the recovery mode is going to go through the recovery mode returns an error code. The first code I received is the error 1656, then a 26, then the final attempt I got an error code 21. This phone has never been dropped, mishandled, or taken any physical damage. It was working great before I attempted to update. Please if anyone else has experienced this let me know how you resolved these errors. I have attempted every trouble-shooting step indicated on the Apple support site. HELP!

airplay Mirroring and HBO Go Audio Problems iPhone 3G

Hi folks,  Great news a month ago about HBO Go's support of airplay in-app. However, whenever I try to stream content to my Apple TV, I only receive video. I'm using the latest Apple TV firmware (5.2.1) and an iPhone 4s with 6.1.3. Oddly enough the HBO "Intro" video standard on this application will stream with audio, but main features never have audio. Likewise, Other applications supporting airplay (Youtube, etc.) will successfully stream both video and audio to the Apple TV. Any idea what's going on? Thanks so much!

I have had my Apple Tv since August of last year. My family and I have been able to connect our iPhones, iPads, etc. to the Apple Tv using "airplay" (Mirroring). As of recently, it will not connect anymore. The airplay icon in the most recents bar has dissappeared. I have updated my Apple Tv and still no luck. I have rebooted my router/ modem and still no luck. We use our Apple Tv for movies and shared games, kids are disappointed that it no longer works. Can someone please help me fix it. Thanks.

Iphone 4 wont install apps and games from App Store

I have an iphone 4 running ios 6.1.2. Just starting yesterday, i was unable to download and install my games and apps. I know its not a problem with my internet because the App Store dosn't show any errors!! Idk what to do. I tryed everything so yeah

iphone 5 bluetooth doesn't work

I have a macbook pro running Lion. When I try to pair it with my iphone 5 I sometimes get a successfull pairing then errors. Other times I get"The device does not have the necessary services" on my mac. What an I missing?

My iPhone 5 will not start up all way.

My iPhone5 was working perfectly fine one day. Then I try to reboot my phone, and for some reason it couldn't get past the apple logo. If it did get past the apple logo, one of four things would happen. A.) The apple logo will fade to blue, and reboot over and over again. B.) The apple logo will disappear and the entire screen will turn completely red. C.) The apple logo will just appear and reappear over and over again.D.) The apple logo will dim and the following text will pop up at the top of the screen      [NAND] _FindFlashMediaAndKeepout:600 Physical nand block offset 1     [NAND] Start:335 this 0x938e2c0 Provider=0x938efc00     [NAND] WMR_Start:149 Apple PPN NAND Driver, Read/Write     [NAND] WMR_Start:174 FIL_Init[OK]  (I'm not sure if all the spacing is precise, but it was all that mumbo-jumbo) As much as I didn't want to, I restored my phone. I didn't have a lot of my things backed up, so I lost a lot of things I had on there. My phone seemed to be perfectly fine, no errors. It ran smoothly for about 12 hours. Then the same thing happened again. I don't understand why this happened again. I mean I restored my phone completely and all. It just makes no logical sense to me. I just wanted to know what I could do about this. I have Applecare, but I would still have to spend 200 dollars if I need to get a new phone. I don't feel that is right if the phone has factory errors or something. If I could get a clear response on what this is, why it's happening, and how it could be fixed, I will be a very happy young lady. Thank you!

Hi guys!, first of all, sry for my english.I bought one month ago an iphone 5 in UK, and when i come back to Argentina (I'm from Buenos Aires) my iphone starts rebooting all time. When i check the Diagnostic in the iphone, i saw the panic.list error.I found on internet that this error only can be solved going to an Apple Store and changing it for a new one.The problem is that we don't have oficial support here, and Apple Care don't work on iphones.Now i have to connect the iphone to itunes because i can't turn it on, and the itunes give me a lot of errors... have pass 2 days and i cannot put it on. Can someone help me? I can't go to UK again. Thx so much!

how to get photos from iphone 5 with unresponsive screen

My iphone was dropped a few days ago and the screen became unresponsive. All the buttons work fine, but I can't swipe to turn it on or enter my passcode. I took the phone to an Apple store and was told by a not-nice guy that there was nothing they could do and that I could not get any of my photos off of the phone because I had the phone passcode protected. I thought Apple wanted everyone to passcode their phones! I wish I had known that this would prevent me from accessing my photos if anything happened to my phone. I have sadly come to accept that my phone cannot be fixed and that I will need to shell out big bucks for a replacement. However, I cannot accept that there is no way to retrieve the material on my phone. When I plug the phone into the computer, it is recognized fine and stuff will download to the phone. However, iTunes tells me that it cannot synch FROM the phone until I enter the passcode on the phone, which of course, I cannot do .   I am really hoping that someone will know some trick to getting stuff off of a phone with an unresponsive screen. Please, please help this very sad iphone user.  The photos are all the photos I have of my young daughter. I know, I should have learned to to back my phone up, but when I tried a few months ago, I couldn't figure it out, so I have no backup. I even tried to set up iCloud, but I couldn't figure that out either. I suppose I deserve to lose all the photos from my daughter's babyhood . Thanks for helping if you can! (please!!)

bluetooth fix coming soon after 6.1.3 Apple are problems with latest upgrades causing bluetooth issues iPhone 4S

Since iOS 6.1.2 my bluetooth in my 2012 Toyota Tacoma will not connect to the phone side of my iphone 4s. It worked fine before the 6.1.2 upgrade and 6.1.3 did not fix the problem. I've tried all the so-called fixes that you have seen floating around the forums to no avail. Restore, Rinse, Repeat....It does streaming music just fine and any app ie. direction giving GPS comes over loud and clear. NO PHONE THOUGH. When the phone is connected to a call in my truck, I do not have an airplay option symbol available on the Phone Screen. I know there are others that have this issue. I see them all over the net and forums. Apple Please fix this issue. I'm not ready to chunk out $600 for a premature upgrade because you might think it's a hardware failure.

iPhone Will not restore. Flashing Apple Logo

My iPhone 4 Will not restore with iTunes, It also will no boot up correctly. It goes straight to the apple logo and just goes on and off apple logo, when i get it to the plug and itunes screen i try and restore it and it just gives me errors every time and will not restore.   The phone is factory unlocked.

Hello,My query pertains to compliance with a company policy that confidential data shouldn't be stored on company laptops.  It can only be stored on encrypted memory sticks.My (not company) iphone 5 is being used to receive, read and respond to emails, but whereas using the laptop I need to login to the Intranet, within which emails are accessed, there is no such login screen, because I'm using iPhone Mail.The argument being posed is that by using my iphone to receive, read, respond to company emails, there are no safe guards concerning data protection, unlike accessing through a laptop.Has anyone experienced a similar issue, and is there any way that I can set up my iphone Mail to prevent this being a concern?Please advise, if possible.Kind regards,Richard

iphone 4s keeps losing contacts and needing to redownload from icloud

Dear all, Ever since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS6 (which apparently in many aspects is a bad decision), I discover my contacts are emptied from time to time. It is apparent in occasions when there are apps needing to access the contact list (with instant messenging apps like Whatsapp, Line etc, or even the Contacts App itself), and once the disappearing happens, I need to wait the contact list updates (downloads) itself with the entries from iCloud. I also believe the same happened in the background when I do not notice it, because I usually set different ringtones for certain people in my contact list, when the list goes empty and is filled again back from icloud, I will lose all ringtone settings. So I believe this irritating bug must be happening few times everyday sometimes without me noticing. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, and would like to see if Apple would be able to do something about it. This is annoying because if I input a new contact on my phone through the contact app, when this bug happens, I will definitely lose the newly added entries. So to be safe, now when I need to add a new contact, I have to do it on a computer, accessing icloud.com and add directly to the icloud records. It's the first problem I experienced with my iphone for the years I have used the iphone products, but is also a critically fatal one...

Problem with IPhone 4S-loaner phone after updated through Itunes has same problem. Whats up.

After updating my phone (or backing up through Icloud) it doesn't function properly very difficult to use, scroll doesnt work, there is a voice over for every function that I try, double click is necessary for accessing anything.....  Got a loaner phone while my new phone was on order- update loaner phone through Itunes and backed up through ICloud and now the same problem is back after restoring the phone from my old one.  It seems like a setting change or software problem, I'm not certain if the problem started when I downloaded the new version of IOS6.  I was seeing a few problems before this I believe, phone wasn't always ringing and I was missing calls when I had service and the phone was with me.  Any ideas of what I can do to prevent this problem form happening next time I connect my phone and retore.  New phone is in my possession, I'm going to wait untill get some feedback before I try and restore the phone..Any advice would be appreciated

iPhone 4S bricked after 6.1 update-iTunes errors 211611

Yesterday my iPhone 4S asked me to install the iOS 6.1 update (via the Settings.app) "over the air". After downloading and preparing the update, the iPhone rebooted itself to start the update process.Unfortunately, this is where it all went wrong. It seems like the iPhone update failed somewhere along this process. It is now stuck in "Recovery Mode", with the picture showing me to connect the phone to iTunes. I have tried countless times restoring the phone via iTunes, on 4 different computers, and on Windows 7 and OS X.Nothing works. The restore process fails during the "Preparing iPhone" phase. Here's what happens every time:I can see the phone being restarted.The Apple logo shows up, and a little wheel in the bottom of the screen starts spinningAs soon as (usually even before) the progress bar shows up on the phone, the device suddenly shuts downThe iPhone reboots right back into recovery mode, asking me to connect to iTunes I'm quite desperate at this point. I have followed all steps imaginable (including turning off Windows firewall and antivirus software), but even then the restore still won't complete. iTunes always gives me the same error: 1611.When putting the phone into DFU manually, it gives me another error: 21.Both seem to point to third-party security software interfering with the restore process.However, having tried this on 4 different computers, I am 99% sure that this is not the issue. So far I've tried:HP Laptop - Windows 7Asus Desktop - Windows 72010 Macbook Pro 15" - OS X Mountain Lion + Windows 8 (Bootcamp)2010 Macbook Pro 13" - OS X Mountain Lion Also, I should mention that in Belgium there aren't any official Apple Stores where I can book an appointment at a Genius Bar. Outlook mail issue iPhone 5

After I add my outlook email (example@roadrunner.com) to my iphone5, I can no longer receive email sent to that address.I receive it on the phone quickly.  However, I get this message in outlook: Task"mail.roadrunner.com - Receiving" reported error (0x8004210E): 'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mailmessage is being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it.  The server responded: -ERR [IN USE] account is lockedby another session or for maintenance, try again.' Any help is appreciated, Steve

Hi, whilst accessing an email account on my iPhone 5 - I received a spam email (which I didn't open) that I just deleted. However, off of the same account now - I cannot send emails and when I do - I get a bounceback from "Mobility Administrator: Failed to Add the following item because: Cannot parse search filter." How do I get rid of it and how do I ensure it's gone? CheersS

Iphone 5 update failed via iTunes. Needs to restore but keeps getting errors.

Hi, Just tried to update my iphone 5 to iOS 6.1 through iTunes in WIndows 7. First time actually, usually I have been updating directly in the phone without any problems. When iTunes tried to update my phone it got an error, seems it didn't even got to begin updating it. Now iTunes keeps telling me I need to do a restore of the phone to be able to use it. Got the iTunes logo and a USB cabel on the screen.  Anyhow, it seems to work untill it are ready to implement the restore on my phone. The apple logo and the progress bar appears but nothing happens, it just won't move. After a couple of minutes iTunes drops the connection to the phone and gives me an error code of 1611 and my phone goes back to the restore/recovery screen.  Seems there is a problem with the USB transfer? The weird thing is that I've been synchronizing without any problems earlier. Though when iTunes was about to begin update it installed the Apple Mobile USB drivers again, perhaps that might be the problem? I have also followed steps in the support area with disabling security programs, reinstalling iTunes etc without any luck.

I do understand that there's no way for me to get it back but my worry are the personal details stored as well as the Itunes account, I'm having 2 iphone for 1 single Itunes account. Woke up to find out my iphone had sent out about 30 emails to contacts (not my full contact list - guessing maybe the last 30 contacts that have been either received/sent via email).  The web site isn't one I ever remember accessing (which in iteself is weird).  http://dcrconsultores.com.br/pbolqlx.pho This is a fairly new phone acquired from my provider TELUS sent directly from TELUS during the inital shipment of iphone 5's last year. I am on the latest IOS 6.0.2....model MD295C....... Any suggestions on how to fix the problem Yes I have a window's PC.....but it was powered off last night when the emails went out from my iphone....also when I checked this morning there were no outgoing emails in Outllook....... 

Why my imessage and FaceTime activation always say my user name or password incorrect when its not iPhone 3G

iOS 6.0.2 Wi-Fi iPhone 5

Hey yall, So I've been having the WPA2/NES connection problems (iPhone coonnects for like a minute then loses all wifi connection) with my iphone 5 since iOS 6. When i upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 the problems were fixed for a week or two but the same connection errors occured again. Yesteray I updated to iOS 6.0.2 hoping it would fix the issue, but the problem still persists. Any tips on how tofix this orwill I have to wait for Apple to clean this up?

I am finding it all a little confusing.  I like the functionality of the airport express but wonder if the apple tv device allows the same with music and also adds the option to display on the tv? I currently use an ethernet connection to link my SONY internet tv to my broadband.  I watch iplayer and lovefilm on the TV.  I want to be able to use airplay to link my itunes via my iphone/ipod or ipad to the AV system.  I have phone connections and optical connections on my AV system but not ethernet or airplay. Can I use the apple TV to act as both the video display, keep my options to watch internet TV but also added options around the Apple TV AND with the same device connect the optical link to my AV system and enjoy itunes music? Thanks

how long it take apple to correct map errors iPhone 3G

I have reported several mapping errors on the new apple maps included with ios 6 in an effort to help apple improve the quality of their new mapping software. It's been weeks and none of these corrections are showing up yet in the maps apps, though. How long is this process supposed to take? I would love to have reliable maps and navigation provided through apple's maps but until corrections are made I will be forced to use other mapping and navigation solutions.

iPhone 4S Phone Constantly Freezing After Upgrade

Ever since I have upgraded my iPhone 4S I have had NOTHING but problem after problem after problem.  - My phone turns on and off by itself- The backlight dims and brightens when it feels- My messages say (1) at least 4 seconds before any name ever shows up- The maps barely work (although I know this is a problem Apple has addressed already) The biggest issue I'm having is my phone freezing AT LEAST half the time, if not more, that I try to use the phone. Either the whole entire screen freezes and I can't touch anything, lock or unlock the phone, so basically I just have to sit there and wait for it to fix itself because I cannot even get the phone to power down. If it isn't the whole entire phone freezing it's the keyboard. The left and right side will just randomly stop working mid text and the other thing I can use are keys in the middle and the space bar if I'm lucky - at which point I have to lock and unlock the phone to regain use of the keyboard (that is IF the phone doesn't freeze during that part leaving me unable to lock and unlock the phone). I also have one of those $50 cases that are "indestructible" so I know it's not a user issue with me dropping it etc.  Is anyone else having these problems? I'm VERY disappointed in this new IOS 6 software, I'd love to uninstall it but from reading past questions I don't believe that is an option with Apple products.  I just want to see if there's any way to fix these errors before taking the time to completely erase and reset my iPhone (especially if I do all that and I still have the same problems) THANK YOU for any help

I purchased my first iPhone when the 5 came out and for the first month, everything was great.  About a week after I upgraded to IOS 6.01 (don't think this was the problem though), I noticed the phone was warm when I unplugged it from the charger and every hour it consumes 20% of the battery.  Battery is totally dead in less than 5 hours even if I don't use the phone at all.   When I look at usage the standby and usage are almost almost the same despite the fact the phone is not being used during this period.   I tried a total reset but when I restore the phone, the problem returns.  If I don't restore the phone, the problem is gone.  I have a number of apps, some of which I have paid for and if I don't restore them, do I have to pay for them again if I download them again?  Can I drag them into the device from iTunes if I don't do a restore?  One thing I was quite disappointed in is there appears to be no way to do a partial restore either from iTunes or iCloud.  It appears to be an all or nothing situation.  I would love just to bring back my settings and put the rest back on manually.  My best guess is that I have managed to contract a virus which is constantly accessing the internet (I suspect these do actually exist though there is little publicity about iOS viruses), or one of my apps is misbehaving (I have about 20 loaded), but have no idea which one.  I had not installed a new app before this happened though I did update quite a few.  New apps are Apple tested, but not updates! Is there way of measuring how much data usage a specific app is using?  I see under usage that I can tell how much space it is using but that is not my problem.  If I have a renegade application it will take a huge amount of time to figure out which one is misbehaving if I have to reload them one at a time until the problem starts again.  There has to be a way to see which apps are consuming the device's bandwidth.  Suggestions? Very frustrated... almost enough to go back to my old Droid...

Iphone 4S and Network errors

I am having problems - I keep getting a Network error.  It's on Facebook, and I have connection issue's with my wifi (anywhere), Email, and Safari.  Any idea's?  I've reset the phone itself, along with resetting the network, but no luck.  Thanks so much, in advance!!

Better to send in or take directly to store iPhone 4

I have an iphone 4 that is not responding on the bottom of the screen. it's mostly functional, but the space bar on texts and accessing the dialer/music/bottom row is impossible. With that said, it's out of warranty and I don't know if it would be better to take it to an apple store (which, living in Oregon where there are only three and they're all in one town, is a problem) or to just send it in and get her fixed that way.  I'm mostly curious if there's a chance that the apple store could fix the phone for much cheaper than just the out of warranty cost. It's not damaged much... Just not very responsive in certain areas. Any input is appreciated!

I saw a lot of people through the forum that experienced the exact issue I have and I spent 4 hours trying to resolve it myself with frantic research. What helped me get my iPhone back: This morning I received the message to upgrade my iphone 4 to the ios6 upgrade through my home internet. I accepted. After the download went through my phone directed me to connect to itunes. I complied.After connecting to itunes it informed me that my phone was in recovery mode and that I must restore my iphone. Yet again, I complied. After hitting restore and it going through the restore process, it instructed me of an error and could not complete restore. My computer refused to recognise my phone at all and said that I needed to enter my passcode. My phone then continued to tell me to connect to itunes before it then went a step further and began restarting and just had the apple logo and/or loading circle for about 4 hours. No matter how long I held the home and power button on it just kept doing the same thing and to be honest, I was about to throw my phone out the window.  I researched different tips on here and other forums for hours and pressing all the reset buttons. Once again, I repeated the procedure until recovery mode was deteced and restored my iphone again. This time it proceded a little further than before and successfully restored completely to factory settings and my phone finally switched on like it was a brand new phone. I then set up my phone and connected it to my laptop and backed it up from there.  It was A LOT of fiddling around and just luck of repeating the same process over and over but this is what solved the issue that seems to be very common at the moment.  Any questions you're welcome to ask. I reassure you, I tried EVERY hold down button reset procedure and every time it failed and my computer absolutely was not registering my phone.  Hope this helps anyone.

How can I simultaneously play music through Bluetooth and airplay to my Bluetooth speaker and Apple TV iPhone 3G

Hello, I have recently purchased a new Bluetooth speaker and I would like to use it with my already working home audio system which I control with the airplay feature on my Apple TV. I tried to use the airplay function on my iPhone 4S and connect the 2 at the same time but It would only let me connect one. If there is an app that will allow me to connect the Bluetooth speaker and the Apple TV simultaneously thought my iPhone 4S or any other solution please feel free to let me know. Thanks...

I have an App called "Calendars" by Readdle. I wish to be able to access this App (and any others if need be) whilst on a phone call without hanging up on the caller. I wish to be able to have the caller on speaker whilst accessing my calendar. Is it possible to navigate and access apps whilst and not terminate a call?

My iPhone 4s 16gig Verizon  and I just recived an new update alert tonight Sunday November 4th 2012 ... I started the scheduled update... But, now won't finish the latest update? I shows on the iPhone screen...( the iTunes button and a USB Plug...)   The iPhone is plugged into the USB connector on my Macbook Pro 2.5 ghz Core i7  Software version 10.7.5.I have tried re-plugging and a different USB port and a different cable... but still, the same error condition exists ...   It instructed me to  restore my iPhone ~ I execute Restore....  it tries to restore but also errors out on that ~ stating it can't be restored... [error code 3014]   I can't use my phone ~ that is the only phone that I have.

iPhone 5 with iOS 6 not working with Xfinity Combo Gateway

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6 and it connects to a Xfinity Arris TG862G/CT Combo Gateway.  I can connect to the network fine and even get internet connectivity, with Safari for example.  However, some of my apps do not function properly.  For example, my phone will not back up to iCloud, and my mobile banking app will not connect to my account.  If I switch to a different router, they work fine.  I have looked at the settings on my router and nothing stands out to me, I have also tried resetting the router several ways, by accessing it through Safari and sending it a command to reset to factory defaults, by pressing the reset button on the back, and by removing the battery and unplugging it from the wall.  Still the same issue, I have also completely disabled the firewall in hopes that was the issue, still same issue.  Does anyone have any other ideas?

My iphone 5 wireless performance isnt great with my new router

Ive had zero problems before with my old one, but it was giving me NAT problems with my xbox. So I decided to switch my router and I got the new one. The cisco EA3500. It works great with my Xbox and PlayStation but it doesn't work so great with my iPhone5. Ive noticed that my videos often stop or give me errors on youtube when they didnt before or when i turn off my wireless. It doesn't matter whether I'm close or far from the router it is the same bad performance. Are there any settings I can play with??
