I dont know what happened. I havent changed any settings on my pc. I updated my phone software to 4.0.2 last week with no apparent problems. I think Ive charged on my pc since but cant remember for sure. Now when I hook to usb, it goes on and off. Like not the power, but it (the iphone) will connect and show charging and I get the windows message that the apple camera is connected and what do i want to do. then it blinks off, like shows my welcome screen, not charging. then a few seconds later it shows up again and shows to be charging. it goes through this over and over. And iTunes does not recognize the iphone, says an error occurred.Any thoughts or suggestions? Dell XPS 410 Windows XP

I have noticed that after upgraded to 4.02, I now receive an error on the screen that reports that this accessory is not supported by Iphone, prior to the 4.02 update. Both my belkin and scosche power adapters worked fine. Did Apple re-enable (if not Apple cable or power adapter), display the error ? Iphone 4 iOS 4

Hi,I need major help. I just recorded a ton of videos of our family trip to Disneyland on the iPhone 4 but it wont let me download it onto my Macbook. I used the almost DLSR app and neither iPhoto or Preview will allow me to download any of the video footages. I guess almost DSLR creates a different file that cant be recognized. It looks like its still a .mov file but the file must be in some other unrecognizable format. Preview gave me this error message:The operation couldnt be completed (com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -9912)All of my iPhone 4 and iTunes is up to date. Is there anyway of just extracting the video footage via Finder? Thanks. MacBook Mac OS X (10.5.6)
Seems simple - to sync your phone, but I have had issues since purchase. After 3 hrs tech time and then time face to face in store, they gave me a new phone. It syncd right away, everything fine. Now having problem with the second phone.I did not sync the phone for a couple weeks, and went to sync it because my apps were not working (push the app on phone and nothing happens). When I tried to sync, I get errors again, some of which include:Internal device errorTiming outUnknown errorI have attempted to restore from back-up, and it errors out and wont let me do this. I have done the complete restore as well. Then when I attempt to sync, the errors are gone, but the sync does not occur. Itunes states it is syncing, and phone shows nothing. It never syncs. Also, anytime I connect the phone to computer itunes pops up with the set up your iphone page, which tells me it is never really recognizing the phone. Also note: I was told to take the time management off the USB hubs, as this might be creating a problem. This has not solved the problem.I am going back to the store today, but figured I would see what advice I could find here. HP dv6t 64 bit

All entries in the address book have phones with the area code prepended. Just the area code, not including the 0 before the area code to identify it.When the iPhone dials a number this way, ZXNXXXXXXX (asterisk format), the carrier replies an error message informing the number is wrong. Both TIM and Claro do that. If an 0 is dialed before the Z, then the call goes through. Adding the 0 to the number is not an option, for it will mess when roaming abroad. The Motorola, K1, V3 and DEXT (Android - Cliq in the USA), knows how to dial calls without the preceding 0.Is there a fix to this problem? Thanks iPhone 3Gs iOS 4 IOS 4.0.1 MacBook Pro OS 10.5.8
I purchased a new iPhone 4 on Aug 24 from an AT&T store and that evening downloaded the app to order my free case. I got an error that said my phone isnt eligible. According to the Terms and Conditions my phone IS eligible!!! Well, after being on the phone with tech support for 2 hours (talked to 3 different people during that time), I was told that Id receive a call on the evening of the 25th with info on when the case would be shipped. I didnt get a phone call so I called back on the 26th. Ive been on the phone with Apple for an hour now (have talked to 4 people) and still dont have this resolved!!! What is going on here? Something seems fishy in Appleland. Also, the app program give a phone number to call if there are questions. Ive been told by 4 people at Apple that the number is wrong! I was trying to update my cousins iPod Touch, so I clicked restore since I was on a different computer. First, for a while, it just said Preparing iPod for restore..., and then it said that there was an error. Now my cousins iPod only shows the connect to iTunes screen. If I plug it in again, it says that I have to restore it. If I do, it will only do the same thing. I think the problem was that I was updating to iOS 4 from os 2. So, what can I do? I cant put into words how frustrated I am with this. Ive been working on this for a few weeks now. I have gone through the painful process of performing a clean reinstall of iTunes on a cleanly reinstalled OS (Windows7).Everything appeared to have gone well until the time came to sync my apps/music/movies. At 99% of the entire sync progress, I get a message Attempting to copy to the disk xxxs iPhone failed. An internal device error has occurred. This is my second iPhone that Ive had to exchange. Ive set this phone up as a new device, never restoring from a backup so as to eliminate the possibility of bringing in some previous problem.Any help would be greatly appreciated. PC Windows 7 64-bit
I have tried on more than 7 or more occasions, losing loads of money at the same time on my broadband connection (Kenyan) and in more than one location - to download the latest update for my iphone 3G. The download is 305mb. In itunes it downloads the whole update and then gives an error message.....3549 or something like that and tells me server connection failed. At first I believed this. Now I do not as in another location my broadband was faster and also I have downloaded an up-date for an old ipod on a same day that I tried my iphone update. Hey, So I attended the iPhone 4 hands-on workshop yesterday and the specialist quickly mentioned that his calendar was colour coded so that he could identify what events were work what were social and so on. The problem is that there wasnt enough time for him to explain how he done this. I usually work by trial and error but I give up nothing seems to be working, my calendar is remaining exactly the same as it was before the session. Can anyone help me sort this out please? My wifes 2 year old iPhone 3Gs microphone suddenly stopped working. This means, that callers cant hear her speak at all, using the internal microphone. The microphone on her headset works fine, the internal however doesnt. It works from time to time using the speaker setting during a call, though only in a few seconds at a time.Since the phone is out of varanty now, we tried to replace the microphone with a brand new original apple spare part microphone. The result is the same though, callers cant hear her at all. Weird thing is, it came like out of the blue.Could this be a software error, because coming to think of it, it started around the time when iOS4 was loaded on her phone. On a sidenote, I also tried to clean the phones jack-connector, but nothing helps. iPhone 4 iOS 4

I bought an iphone 4 and when I connect to i-tunes I get an error 9807 and and can t activate my phone. Does anybody know the answer how to activate my i-phone? iphone 4
Plugged my phone in to update to 4.0.2 and iTunes downloads the update. It attempts to install it, errors out, and then when I do it again, it says the iphone has to be restored. What the heck? Also, prior to this update, whenever I have connected the phone to my computer, it syncs properly, but gives me an error message despite that. I usually just click through it and ignore it, has been working fine.Should I get my device swapped out for a new piece? (Also the home button sticks sometimes) dell xps m1530 Windows 7
Does anybody know what this is, and how to fix it? It is interrupting my syncs, and not putting the tracks that I am asking for on the phone. The exact text for this error code is: itunes could not back up the iphone Tims iphone because an unknown error occurred (-20) Please help me if possible! Thanks iPhone OS 3.0.1
I made the mistake of taking my iPhone 3G fly fishing and it died after getting splashed. It was running 4.0.2. I followed the usual recommendations including opening the phone and gently warming it with a air gun on low. There was no apparent moisture inside the phone. While it was open I decided to replace the battery for good measure. Now it is stuck in the Apple logo even after what appeared to be a successful restore with iTunes on a Mac. Got same result after attempting restore on a PC. There were no error messages during the process - just the progress bar across the iPhone and a reboot wherein it remains in the logo loop. I assume something died as a result from the dunking but its strange that it will connect to iTunes and go through the restore cycle. I toyed around with trying to downgrade to 3.1.1 but not sure that will yield any better results. Any suggestions on other things to try or is it toast? Thanks MacBook Air Mac OS X (10.6.3)

I have seen this error posted on a number of forums with no ascertainable answer or resolution to the problem. I have a 3G with 4.0 and iTunes 9.1.2.5. I am running XP and my USB is a direct connection to the computer. My phone connected perfectly until yesterday - then I got and OxE000001 message. One thing I read said to turn off iTunes help, which I did and now I get the above error and no connection. Other than the help thing I have changed nothing on either my computer or phone. It appears that many people are having the same problem for various reasons, but no solution has surfaced. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks 3G Windows XP
Well i have an iPhone 3G. I connected it to my PC and I tried to make update to iOS 4. The result? I had an error during the installation and my iPhone stucked. Im trying to open it, but shows only the Apple, and after that shows on the screen that it is connected to iTunes for about 3 seconds and then it closes again. My PC does not recognise it anymore and i dont know what to do. Please help! P.S. : WARRANTY EXPIRED iPhone 3G iPhone OS 3.0
I have updated my iPhone 4 to 4.0.2 with no problems. I then tried to do the same with my wifes iPhone 4 and thats when I hit snags! After performing part of the update there was a message stating that there was a problem and that I needed to Restore the iPhone. I hit Restore but when it got to installing the firmware up popped a message stating: The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).I have re-started my iMac twice but it hasnt helped.Any ideas? My wife now has an empty iPhone 4!(I connected my wifes iPhone 4 to my iMac using the same dock and USB port that I used for the successful update of my iPhone but, obviously, I used her partition on the computer). Intel 24" iMac: 2.33GHhz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, 500GB hard drive + iMac G3. Mac OS X (10.6) 32GB iPhone 4, LaCie d2 disc burner, WD 1TB external hard drive.
I have a strange thing going on. When I connect my 3G iPhone to itunes, I have an app that shows up on itunes but it is not visible on my phone. When I try to remove it, it states an unknown error has occurred and cant remove the app. I have deleted the app from my library, re-downloaded it and tried to install it again. But still the same, it shows it on the screen on itunes, but not on my phone. Any suggestions???? I want to use the app but i cant.... Thanks... 3G Windows Vista
Trying to update to 4.0.2 but I got an error and now my iPhone crashed. All I see is the usb cord pointing to the iTunes logo. Restarting the phone didnt work. Looks like my only option is to restore, which will delete all my stuff. Im surprised Im forced to restore because the update failed. Cmon Apple, its 2010. Any help is appreciated.
