hey,I am trying to connect to my iTunes account on my iPhone 3G S but it keeps giving me an error message Your iTunes password is incorrect. Please try again. iPhone device unable to start code 10 Windows XP

I just reformatted my hard drive and installed a clean copy of the most recent iTunes. I also updated XP through Windows update and have my USB 2.0 drivers installed. Everything else is running fine, including my other USB devices. My phone is recognized without issue on another computer too, so its not the phone hardware.Ive disabled the windows firewall and apple services are started and running. I have not yet installed virus protection. USBAAPL.SYS is installed and being used as the phone driver, but there is still an exclamation point when it appears in device manager as an apple device, under USB. It makes three beeps, shows the exclamation point, and disappears within a minute or so.I uninstalled the device using device manager and reinstalled it and it didnt help. I also reinstalled the driver using the windows driver utility, and chose the imaging device instead of the phone. It was able to view and copy images from the phone but the phone still did not appear in iTunes. Im using iPhone software version 2.2.1, and the phone does not charge when connected although its connected to a 2.0 USB port.Any help would be appreciated, and I have already tried all of the basic troubleshooting recognition steps as listed in the iPhone windows recognition article, here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1495Its using the proper driver and recognized by the computer, but it gives me an error when I plug it in and under the driver details in device manager, it says unable to start device, error code 10. Im also using the cord that came with the phone and there is no damage to it. It charges without issue from a wall outlet. AMD Athlon 64 Windows XP

Music Wont SyncFiles Start Disappearing iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 3G 16GB with 3.0 and a new iMac with Leopard 10.5.7. Lately I have been having issues, when I sync my iPhone with iTunes it gives me an error saying iPhone not authorized. Then when I go to play a song in iTunes, they all say Locate. When I go to my External Hard Drive where they are stored, the files are all missing. My hard drive still shows the same amount of space free but the files/folders are missing. If I unplug my iPhone and restart my iMac the files are there again and I can play my iTunes music but if I plug the iPhone back in, the issues presents itself again....How can I fix this? I restored my iPhone but it still does it. 20" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo Mac OS X (10.5.7)

I just tried to upgrade my software and half way through my PC crashed. It said a blue screen error had occurred. Itunes now shows that my phone needs to be restored, but everytime I try to do my PC crashes again. This has now happened three times in 1 hour. I have a BIG problem with restoring my iphone 3g. The problem was when i tried to upgrade my phone from OS 2.2.1 to 3.0. Now whenever i try to restore the phone all i get is a black screen with white text in it giving possible location of the error. I am quite sure that it is kernel panic. I just bought a brand new iPhone 3G, and when i got home, i tried to update it, but when iTunes started to Prepare it, it said that the setup could not continue because of an unknown error. Now i cant use my iPhone because it is stuck in recovery mode, and i tried to restore it, but it keeps doing the same thing. iPhone 3G SMS Issues Post-3.0OS Upgrade

**Please note: I am trying to send just regular text messages, not picture text messages.**After updating my iPhone 3G to the 3.0OS, I noticed that my text messages started to get really flaky (i.e. could not send messages, only receive). I thought that Rogers (Canada) was having difficulties due to the iPhone 3.0OS and iPhone 3GS releases, so I waited patiently and thought this issue would resolve itself.I have spent over an hour and half on the phone with Rogers (Canada) representatives and the only thing they have done is told me to “Reset Network Settings.” Finally, after a lot of troubleshooting I have figured out what my problem is. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the situation.1) In order to send a text message to someone outside my area code, I MUST have no prior conversation with them stored on my iPhone. I can send unlimited SMSs to them, but as soon as they respond back, I cannot simply touch reply and respond to them. I have go into Messages, touch EDIT, then delete the entire conversation. This means I have to do this every time someone from outside my area code SMSs me. This is not only annoying, but defeats the whole purpose of the “conversation/chat” style of the iPhone.2) If I am outside my local area, then I must perform the above steps in order to send a message. I MUST have no prior conversations stored in my iPhone.3) Everything is fine and dandy for calls within my local calling area. No error messages.I am wondering if anyone has these problems as well. I did not experience any of these problems prior to upgrading to the 3.0OS. Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.***P.S. I have also tried manually typing in the phone number, by using both 10 digits and the “+1”-then area code. iPhone Wont Turn On 3G

Hi, Im having a rather severe issue with my iPhone. I woke up this morning and it was off. I had left it off the charger and assumed the battery was just dead. When I plugged it in, the Apple logo popped up then disappeared after a while. I wasnt really paying attention to it, so I didnt notice that it hadnt finished turning on.Now that Ive begun trying to use it, it wont go past the Apple logo, at all. Ive trying doing everything. I held down the power button an the home button at the same time to try to do a restore, and that didnt work. It keeps saying iPhone iPhone could not be restored. Iphone sync error 13001 URGENT 3G

So I updated my iphone from 2.2 to 3.0 yesterday and then restored all my contacts + other stuff all was good.Then i tried to resync my music...It started as normal showing ex: 15 of 167 songs or whatever but at the end it said XXXX Iphone could not be synced error (13001) (something similar). When i went to check my ipod on the iphone it said No Content but when i checked the music section under iphone in itunes it showed the music there.I restored the iphone again and it still didnt work.Please advise on how to solve. Unable To Sync iPhone-Could Not Be Read From Or Written To 3G

Can anybody help me please? We upgraded one of our iPhones to OS3 today on a relatives computer because of a network connection problem on ours, but just when we thought everything was fine we have an error message when we try to sync music to the phone (back on our own computer) - the sync completes and then we get the error that the phone couldnt be read from or written to.All Im trying to sync is music - generally we have a playlist for each phone, but to try and narrow this down Im synching a number of smaller playlists (50 files in each) to see if that helps. I am able to get a few files onto the phone without the error, but if I keep selecting more playlists and synching again it fails. Using different combinations of playlists Ive managed to get 850 music files on with a capacity of 2.33GB without an error, but adding another 50 song playlist (trying different lists) creates an error. If I unplug, replug and remove the last 50 track playlist it syncs OK again. There are also 23.3MB photos, 217.1MB apps and 299.3MB other on there, but these are not changing with the syncs. Its a 16GB phone leaving 11.89GB free.It isnt stopping the sync on any particular file - it gets to the end (progress bar at top of itunes window) and after the last file has copied changes back to the sync in progress bar then gives the error message. Ive tried it with the last file being different (in case it was a bad file) but still get the error.Once it has errored I have to disconnect the phone and replug it to try and sync again. When I do that the ipod section on the phone itself says updating library then no content, yet in itunes the capacity indicator at the bottom shows the space allocated to audio. Ive tried different USB cables and different USB ports (always on the machine not a hub) but it doesnt change anything. Our other phone was upgraded to OS3 last week at the Apple store and seems to sync OK so far.I suppose it suggests that the phone will accept a certain capacity of files but then no more - does this sound feasible? If you live in England and look in iTunes on iPhone more audiobooks the last tab has featured categories instead of just categories this only appears in England as far as i know, USA and Ireland is ok,as you will see the writing doesnt fit into the tab and looks messed up,it is an error with the server in England rather than the iphone firmware,i have contacted Apple tech and made them aware of the problem... i know im being anal about it but it really bugs me.. has anyone else noticed this ? Cannot log into iTunes on iPhone

After upgrading to 3.0, I havent been able to log into iTunes to download application updates or applications through the iPhone. It keeps giving me the error that the password I entered was incorrect. When trying to use iforgot to reset it, it tells me my ID doesnt exist. I can log into iTunes fine on my mac. The funny thing is that when I plug my iPhone into my mac and log into iTunes on my iPhone when it is plugged in, it will work! But upon unplugging it, it goes back to not working on the iPhone. On a second note, I use my aol account for iTunes. I can log into iTunes on my iPhone fine with my apple ID, but that account is not used for purchasing things on iTunes.Any ideas? I need to speak to somebody iPhone 3G

Ive tried four different USB cables, in various PCs, my MacBook, and a power outlet. My iPhone is refusing to charge, before the iPhone stopped charging I had intermittent issues with the iPhone, regularly I would get an error message A USB Device is currently drawing too much power. The hub has been disconnected I had to place the connector inside the iPhone at a certain angle to get it to charge. Now it wont charge at all. This isnt an issue with the cables or the power outlet or my MacBook or the three PCs ive tried to charge my iPhone from, there is DEFINITELY an issue with the iPhone. As ive not got the 90 day complimentary phone support I cant phone Apple and ask for them to pick my iPhone up- id appreciate it if you replied to this e-mail telling me what your doing about it before you send me a random part for my iPhone which you did before. My iPhone needs replacing. Im not impressed with the way support is offered to those who are no longer within the 90 day grace period.Who can I call? There is no shops nearby that I can take it into. 3.0 wifi issues iPhone

Ok this is very frustating. Ever since I installed the 3.0 software on my phone I have been having issues catching my emails, etc. Before my emails would appear as soon as i received them now i have to go in my email and like 10 emails load at once. Also, my WIFI doesnt work it connects perfectly fine but when i try to use (safari,youtube, maps, email, the app store) it just keeps loading until i get a error message. Whenever Im on Edge it works perfect.Anybody have suggestions in how to resolve this Windows XP

Iphone issues with wifi connection 3G

while connected to my home network internet connection does not work properly. Most of the time safari will work fine, although sometimes it can say cant connect... but the most annoying of all is that itunes almost ALWAYS gets the cannot connect to itunes store error. it will often work ok when i first load it, and then if i click say the updates or seach buttons it will try to load and then fail, or if i try to install an app it keeps saying cant connect with the option to retry.. if i retry 10-15 times eventually it might work..my home network is fine. i have a few laptops that connect to it, and other iphones that connect to my network experience the same problems.my router is a billion 7500G iPhone OS 3.0

Flash iPhone

Im curious how anyone else feels about the subject of Flash on the iPhone. I could care less. I dont even have updated Flash on my Macs. I have yet to see a site I visit regularly that requires it and most of the error message boxes prompting me to update are found on sites of less than important content. Did that come out PC enough? upgraded to 3.0, and now on my primary email account, i cant access my account. But I do get incoming mail. I just cant search my folders without getting a Cannot get mail error. I had to install iTunes before getting the 3.0 update for my iPhone. At some stage in the proceedings (I left the room to do other things) I got the error message (something like) iTunes cannot restart your phone due to unknown error 0xE8000013. Ive only got the error number, since I searched the Apple website for a solution and it told me to just dismiss the error message and everything should work fine. Well. Nothing is working fine. My phone will only allow emergency calls and still comes up as connected to iTunes, but iTunes doesnt recognise it.Please help! iPhone OS 3.0

Cannot Send Text Messages Unless Text Thread Empty iPhone 3G

Hey Everyone,I recently updated to 3.0 on my iPhone 3G and tried texting some of my contacts, only to find that I could only text some of them.I found the post here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2045721&tstart=120and my problem is similar. Im able to send messages to certain contacts, but some will constantly give me an error sending message. For instance, Im in Canada, and a friend of mine is on Fido, and I cant seem to be able to text her anymore. She can still receive messages from other people, including my brother, who is shared on the same plan, but has not taken the 3.0 upgrade yet. I recently updated my iPhone to the 3.0 software and under my ROGERS iPhone value pack it tells me i get unlimited MMS messages but right now I am unable to send MMS messages. My phone tells me that it has sent them but 3 of my friends who all have iPhones with the 3.0 software are not recieving them, and they are getting error messages when they try to send them.Help please? iPhone OS 3.0

Hi there - has anyone else been plagued with this? I tried to sync my iPhone 3G (less than a year old) and it wouldnt sync. I tried to restore it and it went partially through the process and bailed returning an error. I went to the discussion boards who recommended (not necessarily in this order) rebooting, using a different USB cable, a different computer, reinstalling iTunes, turning off Little Snitch, turning off Firewall, using an on-board USB port. Absolutely NOTHING worked and my phone is bricked. Now, despite everything all I get is iPhone could not be restored An unknown error occured (2006). Can anyone help? Cant update iPhone 3G

Have tried 7 times to update to this 3.0 thing.Every single time i have plugged in my phone, clicked all the yes and agree buttons - download starts i wait 80mins for it to get to 230mb of 230.1mb and then it stops at 2 seconds to go and an error thing comes up saying there are netwrok problems and it was a failure. Big Problems upgrading to 3.0 iPhone

Here is what is happening to me:I connect my iPhone to my system directly (not through a hub), iTunes recognized the phone and synced. Then iTunes says there is an update (3.0) to which I responded yes.3.0 downloads and extracts the software. Then the prepareing the iPhone for restore messae comes up. After a bit, the screen on the iPhone blanks and after a bit more, I get a message a restore error 1604 and itunes no longer sees the phone.I followed the instructions exactly as the help page apple has for restore errors and got no results. I called 611 from my wifes phone and the apple tech walks me throuh deleting the restore files and tells me the reason is corrupted downloaded 3.0 software. The delete is supposed to allow itunes to download a fresh copy of 3.0.I have now done this 5 times and still my phone is unusable.Arg! I am at my wits end! Help! Dell mini 9

Iphone stuck in recovery mode will not restore after halfway thru 3.0 downl 3G

I had attempted to update my Iphone software from 2.2.1 to 3.0 yesterday morninggot half way through update on Iphone and came up with error msg and would not allow to go through update. Now iphone when connected to itunes indicates in recovery mode and needs to be restored, go through restore process and gets half way (progress bar on Iphone under apple logo) and stops and comes up with msg: The iphone could not be restored and unknown error occured (2).Does any one know what (2) means? or had this issue? had tryed on another computer and with new cable etc, still same msg.Help please..... iPhone 3G update to 3.0 with repeated 1013 errors-now bricked iPhone-

Attempting to update an iPhone 3G to 3.0 from 2.2.1 and its now a brick.Note that Ive tried this now from THREE different computers, two macs and one windows box with identical results. Ive uninstalled iTunes on the windows box before doing the update attempt. The error message is 1013 which also takes you to this highly uninformative page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275. Ok, the USB cables and ports on three computers see the same problem error. So its either the iPhone itself or iTunes 8.2 (23) or both. Digging a bit deeper I found that there is a log file kept on the mac. Change to this directory from your home directory ~/Library/Logs/iPhone Updater Logs/ where youll find one iPhoneUpdater N.log file for each attempt to update that youve done.When the error occurs Apple asks if I want to send the info to them! YES!!! Make sure you do so that they can sort this out.Ok, looking in this log file (I wont dump it all here) you can see a number of errors. error on update from 2.2.1 to 3.0 iPhone 3G

Hi,today morning I would like to install the update 3.0. After downloading the file, and updateing my iPhone I get the following error message.... unknown error (13)Do anyone know about this?Now the iPhone doesnt boot. v3.0 upgrade bombs out halfway now PC wont recognize phone as usb device iPhone

I was able to download v3.0 but halfway through the installation it bombed out with a generic could not complete error and now my PC wont even recognize my iphone as a usb device anymore. Itunes obviously cant find it since my PC cant but even multiple reboots of the pc and phone will not fix this. Anyone else running into this issue? Also the phone constantly shows a static image of a usb cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes logo. help please 8gb 3g iphone, itunes 8.2, pc running win xp pro Windows XP Pro

Iphone sync error 13019

Ever since I upgraded to iTunes 8.2 Ive been having issues synching. It will copy photos, ringtones, etc, but at some point says that iTunes could not sync error 13019.Searching resulted in nothing.Now my playlists on the phone are wiped out, oddly enough the music is there, but it doesnt show up on the phone. If I connect it to iTunes, it shows the music and the playlists as being there.I did a reinstall of iTunes and chose a restore from back up, neither has worked.Anyone else run into this? Dual Core G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5)

iPhone activation server unavailable 3G

After downloading 3.0 through iTunes and extracting I get the following error:The iPhone cannot be updated because the iPhone activation server is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.How about adding some more bandwidth Apple? This is similar to the initial launches of both the 2G and 3G models as well as the 2.0 software. Where are the lessons learned? Update 3.0 Download Problem iPhone 3G

I am trying to download the new update (like everyone else) but in iTunes when I watch the status as it downloads it only makes it to about 130mb of the 229.3mb then stops. It pops up a window saying an unknown error has occured, check your connection settings or try again later. I check my connections and can connect to the internet just fine. I have tried the download multiple times and each time it stops and gives me the same error message. Any ideas why this is happening? Could it just be overload from everyone trying to update at once. I was one of the ones whose status page said it would ship on the 19th for delivery on the 24th, and who then got the email from Apple saying that was an error and it would arrive on the 19th. My order status never updated to reflect the correction, though. I phone-downloading songs from I tunes-create ringtones iPhone

I have an I phone and have downloaded songs from I store - I want to make them into ringtones (option available when you right mouse click= create ringtone) but it comes up with error 11556 - I tunes could not connect to the I store - can anyone explain what is happening and can I fix this ? I live in Australia. Thanks heaps
