Please help- its my understanding that iphone stores where you have been (location history). When I was searching the Internet to see if I could access this info, I found Pete wardens iphone tracker download (I think it came out in April 2011), but then I read that apple fixed this problem of storing this info on your computer too, by releasing a software update shortly after. Is that correct? If I backup my iphone to computer will it have a file on there that stores the history of where I and my iphone have been? Or is this no longer the case? I desperately need a log with time stamps, I need to prove where I have been in the last week (marriage problems). Two reasons why I would not by an iPhone again

Hi all, yesterday I had two requirements from my iPhone 4 and none of them was fulfilled, so I decided that this is my last Apple device. If any of you can change my mind, go ahead a try. 1st, I wanted to copy a file (pdf) from my local drive at home and then open it in ezPDF Reader. So I used NetPortalLite to access my drive and downloaded the file inside the NetPortalLite. But when I wanted to move the file to ezPDF app it didn't let. Why it is so complicated to move files between apps? I have tried to copy in NetPortalLite, then paste in ezPDF Reader... it didn't work! 2nd, I wanted to access my local drive at home to run a video file. this function is available only in paid apps, although other mobile OS have this ability. Why it is not possible to browse local drives directly from the iOS or Safari? Is it so hard to implement this function to the iOS and make it available by SMB://IP_ADDRESS or \IP_ADDRESS? Thanks

I have been trying to update my iPhone's software for the past few weeks due to my current provider not being found. (A bar that says "Searching" is always at the top where my 3G should be.) Yet whenever I try directly from my iPhone, it always end with an error message. So, yesterday I tried updating directly from itunes and I let it download the new update and all that. However, after it finished trying to update my iPhone, it put my iPhone in a recovery mode and I've been trying to fix it eversince. I can not access my iPhone, all it has is an icon saying to connect to itunes. I've tried troubleshooting, checking my software, updating my computer etc. yet it still leaves me with this message: "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)." I've looked on the apple site and I've made sure my security is up to date, my computer is up to date, my itunes is up to date and that I have restarted my computer. I am very irritated and I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do because my warranty is over with apple and I still have a few years on my contract. this problem has become relatively frequent with the replacement I've received from apple.  Please post all suggestions or ideas to help with my problem, Thank you for your time. -Applefanatic23

Okay heres the deal,       I got a new iPhone two days ago and yesterday it was causing problems so when I called to get it fixed they made me back it up to my iCloud but they made me set it up as a new phone. Now I am wondering if I can somehow access that information and restore my phone without having to reset it again.

So here goes... I have broken the screen on my iphone 5, it is completly shot but  i can plug it in to itunes. Twice frontal glass broken on Iphone 5

Hello, I'm an "old" user of Iphone ... 3S, 4, 5 .... on this last one for two times I've broken the frontal glass... never happened with older models Honestly in the first time I have nothing to say because unfortunately my phone fell down bumping the frontal glass on a small stone (from an height of about 1 meter from my pants pocket) and the glass has broken  .... but in the second case it fallen down on the back face on a plate surface always from an height of 1 meter and in this second situation my phone was also protected a little bit in a gum cover  I choose again APPLE product and especially this model without considering equivalent models of other competitors also for roughness (saw a lot of demo video on the web) but I'm very disappointed from the reality .... I payed twice (220 Euro each time) the replacement with 2 new phone becuse glass broken ae not under guarantee but for this second situation I don't agree with the policy of APPLE and I espect from them at least a commercial action to me because this second payed replacement is absolutely unaccetable .... Roberto (Italy)

How I restore my Outlook calendar after it got deleted when I synchronized it with my iphone

I synchronized my iPhone with iTunes and my Outlook calendar.  By doing so, I deleted all of my Outlook calendar events in Outlook and on my iPhone.  How do I reverse that action?  I tried restoring my iPhone with the backup.  When I do this, my calendar events come back on my iPhone but as soon as I plug it into my computer, it syncs with iTunes and deletes everything all over again.  I have tried changing the sync settings to not sync the calendar but it still synchronizes and deletes everything.  PLEASE HELP!

Hi All, So I have disbled my iPhone 4s by forgetting my passcode (like it seems many other people do!). Also as the phone went dead as I was away for the weekend the SIM is also locked. I have often backed it up to iCloud but I never had the camera roll back up option ticked as I cannot see it when I sign into iCloud. I dont have iTunes on my laptop or access to the original iTunes where it was synced a year and a half ago. My question is can I get the phone unlocked by Apple? ( I have the IMEI number and proof of purchase) Is there any way of keeping or getting my photos/videos and messages? When I had my phone plugged into the laptop and was clicking backup through wifi will this have also backed up my photos? Thanks!

Issues after 6.1.4 update iPhone 5

IS anyone else having issues after the 6.1.4 update? Here is what I have experienced in the last two days.  1- Unable to access a locked or secure network.  It asks for password initially.  When entered, it is unable to connect.  I restart and then go to Settings, find the network and click.  I never get a prompt for the password, just "Unable to Connect" 2-Bluetooth.    I can after a few attempts to connect my Bluetooth headphones, only after I get a "Failed attempt" a few times.  Then only music works, unable to make phone calls.  this happens with two different products.  A SENA SMH 10R and LG HBS 700.   3- Music play - I found this issue out when trying to figure out problem with Bluetooth.  I can start to play a song fine, but if I click on the ">>" or "<< "  it freaks the player out and then skips multiple songs or stops play and goes back to the playlist.  At first it was doing this with the Bluetooth headphones when using it to make selections.  So I deleted the devices and the iPhone continued to do it when selecting functions on the screen.  Some playlists did it and some don't.  Creating a new playlist did not help.  Additional Info.Apple Store replaced my iphone on Saturday 5.4.13 because if antina issues.  The issues above came after I restored from backup and updated the OS.  I have erased the phone 2 times since getting the new phone and restored from back up and rebuilt from Itunes and neither way makes a difference above. What is going ON?   Message was edited by: Karl Kroeker  Corrected Version update

Hi guys, I've used apple for 5 years now. Started with an Iphone 3GS and since then I could not use any other brand as a Cel Phone, and I tried, believe me I tried. I used an Iphone 4 for 3 years without having any problem, without having to even call Apple. Then, by the end of the last year I went to London for a trip. I bought an Iphone 5 and came back to my home country, that is Brazil...Used it for 4 months or so and it started having problems with the wake and sleep button, then I thought, "ok, apple is a worldwide company, they are reliable, that's the main reason for me to have bought it for so long and the phone still in warranty, they will trade it for me" so I called apple...For the first time in 5 years...And I did not get answered properly. Apple states that since I bought the Iphone in london, they warranty can only be used for trading the phone in london...I have no intentions of going to london this year, what meand I will lose my warranty and the money I spent with my Iphone.  To clarify, I did go to Washington for a better support, but they stated the same...I called apple and they stated that the Iphone is broken and needs to be traded but it can only be done in london. An analyst called James Downs told me to call apple regent street that's the one where I bought the Iphone and when I called there for getting my money back because they are not providing the proper support for my iphone they state that I need to take the Iphone to the store... End of the story, I have a broken Iphone, I am frustrated with apple, because they are acting as they do not care for the costumer at all. In my point of view, they should escalate the problem, call the brazilian store and trade my phone or ship me a brand new one. I took the iphone to different stores in different countries that I have access and so far nothing. Apple does not care, my iphone is 4 months old and is already broken...If nothing is done I'll be very frustrated, I'll be at least ****** because it seems I'll not have my money back because the store states they will not do that even though an apple consultant says it and I have no way of taking the phone to the store. Please, can anybody from apple help me with that? I really want my phone or my money...If you can just ship me a new one I'll be ok with that..But you should do something, you are apple, not some other ****** company around the world, will you not honor your brand?

Yup, I know what the basic decible strength means, but looking to interpret all of the other details.   My goal is to find the ideal configuration for a cellular frequency booster/repeater directional antenna and am getting some odd readings so far. The fact that I am in a mountain rural area and have scarce access to two competing cellular towers miles away complicates the task. My WI-FI is not working for 15 days, since I upgraded the software to 6.1.3. The buttom is grayed out.There was a huge forum over more than 210 pages about the subject but seems like Apple prefer to erase the forum because I can not access it anymore. I tried everything.1. Recover data from water damaged phone-Its in DFU mode iPhone 5

I got my phone wet but more importantly i need the data from it (mainly the videos i took). Iv recovered files from a Itunes Data Back Up but i need to access the files that are on my phone that werent saved or synced to my PC. Wonder if anyone can help? Today my IPhone 4S was working normal and then my phone came up as not having a signal by saying "No Service". i turned it off and back on again then i had a signal "Vodafone 3G". i started to send txt messages and IMessages but these never sent and now all my messages are failing and its not letting me use the internet like facebook and that. Figuring out restriction passcode iPhone 4S

My phone says that my restriction settings are on, which I am assuming is why none of my aps can be granted access to my photo stream, and I have never set up a restriction passcode. I have tried the last 4 digits of my phone number, 0000, and one I thought I might have set up, but none of them work. Does anyone know what is going on? What a general restriction passcode is? Iphone 4 IOS 6.1.3 multiple problems. need help

Dear Friends, I hope apple is looking into the posts by customers. I was browsing through the forum and found single threads of issues. I think I am facing all in one and look forward for people who are facing similar issues. I have a iphone 4 on AT&T. everything was working great till 6.0 & problems since I upgraded to 6.1. Since then it has been quite unstable. below are some of the issues I am facing... 1. Phone sometimes goes unresponsive or very slow response for some apps [ action took..cleared all apps restarted/rebooted..no use]2. The signal strength has considerably dropped from before and sometimes says no service. Before I had atleast some good signal strength near my home.3. The battery drain issue..sometimes I feel the battery on usage makes the phone go hot. 4. As soon I unplug from the power, the phone drops couple of %'s over 10 min even without usage or very slight usage.5. The worst of all..sometimes the phone access 3g even when there is WIFI..it takes sometime to realize there is wifi..but all the time I think is using 3G to start off or completely on 3g all the times. I restarted the phone couple of times but no luck. I never had this problem before 6.1.  If any one have solutions or geniuses on solving at the least the priority one's let me know. Good morning, I have an Iphone5, 2 weeks approx, worked perfectly till yesterday morning. Problem: Turned on yesterday and 3G was there, then I turn on WIFI all morning worked from home as usual. Turned of WIFI went to the garage (no more signal as is underground) out of the garage no more 3G, EDGE etc, only for brief moment (seconds) I did the following operations: Reset network 3 times, 3G back for couple of hourse as I loose signal the phone doesn't go back any more to 3G no GPRS etc Changed SIM 3G as above. Reset the phone as above. Now with 3G of from setting I only use 2G and this is working well, still 3G is missing in action, other people around me same carrier SFR don't have the same problem, any ideas?

Can I block one iphone from my wifi iPhone 4S

My fourteen year old brother keeps figuring out the wifi password in our home. He is not allowed to have it AT ALL, and this infuriates me because now that he has figuered it out YET AGAIN my father might take away wifi all together and tie everyone down to wires..... so... is it possible to block one iphone from using the internet at all hours of the day... like even if he figures out what the password is again can the wifi not accept his iphone as a suitable device? Now before you go on about saying that he shouldnt have an iphone if we dont want him to have internet, we've got it all figured out. He doenst have internet on his iphone, we turned that off and we only allow him to use the phone for games, music, texting, and calling, and so that we can use the tracking device on it to keep him safe, the one problem is that he keeps figureing out the password to our wifi and thus gives himself internet access that he is not allowed to have at all.  SO after you have read my little tale please help me answer this one question: Is it possible, whether through an app or through our wifi, to block him from using wifi PERMANANTLY. Thanks

Cannot Restore Corrupt Backup after upgrading to 6.1.3 iPhone 4S

My wife needed to make space on her Iphone because of the many videos she had on it. When she plugged the phone into our iMac, running 10.8.3, and connected to iPhoto to transfer the videos over the upload started as it normally does. However, during the middle of the transfer iTunes interupted and INFORMED my wife that the phone was now upgrading to the newest software version (6.1.3)being as we usually keep our phones up to date with upgrades anyways we didnt think much of it. Unfortunately during this process the software update failed and the phone crashed. We were left with two options "restore from backup" or "restore iPhone." We tried several times to restore from the backup and we received the same error message every time "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or incompatable with the Iphone that is being restored." I went into my library and checked out my backups folder and I saw that there were two new backups there for my Wife's phone. One time stamped at the exact time the phone crashed and one from the last time I tried to restore(after the phone crashed). We finally decided that there must have been a glich with the softwarre download, since it didn't complete, so we decided to "Restore Iphone" hoping that a corrected software would then allow us to restore from the backup properly. So the phone was wiped and reset with the new software, and we still cannot access the backup that we need. Though it is extremely frustrating that the videos of our toddler are gone, it is very important that we somehow find a way to access the information in the non corrupt backup files, her address and phone books as well as past text messages and calendars. I went to a site called iphonerecoveryonline and followed their protocol and I was able to see that all of the aboved mentioned information is still in those backups, but I have no way, with out paying these people $20 per file, to return that info to her phone. I would rather not have to pay to recover this info, but I guess that may be my only option? Any advice, experience or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot contact activation server iPhone 5

I brought an iphone5 on contract today, charged it and cannot complete the activation because it cannot connect to the activation server. I have restarted the phone and nothng changed. I don't have access to a computer to connect to iTunes so now what do I do?  I have this phone on contract and I can't use it!
