I bought iphone4 on December 2012. It just switched off and while switching it on it went to recovery mode. So I took the iphone to apple authorised service provider (Ample Technologies,Chennai), they done software update and tried but it was still in recover mode. Finally they said that, they will provide replacement since my phone is under warranty. But after examining they said that its physically damaged and they will not provide any service and also asking me to get iphone back. I tried contacting the customer care India No and I talked to the Technical Manager but he simply said "UNFORTUNATELY WE DONT HAVE ANY OPTION TO PROVIDE YOU MAM, SO PLEASE COLLECT YOUR IPHONE FROM THE SERVICE CENTER". But the saddest part is eventhough I've my phone under warraanty I'm not given any service, they are just asking to throw it in the dustbin and wailk away. I just asked them provide hardware service. Now what shall I do????

Wireless Emergency Alerts and Silent mode iPhone

Does anyone know if the Wireless Emergency Alerts/Government Alerts will sound while your phone is in silent mode? Seems as though this feature (WEA) is now available on AT&T iPhones, and I normally keep my phone on silent at night. I'm OK with the alert sounding while in silent mode if it's a true emergency (presidential alert or emergency situation) but I'd rather not get Amber alerts unless it's during daytime hours.  I know I can completely opt-out of the Amber Alerts and Emergency Alerts, but I'm curious if the phone will alert regardless of silent mode settings. I'd rather not opt-out of Amber alerts, but if that's the only way to keep from being woken by them, then I'll probably pass on those. Thanks!

Hey,I tried updating my 4s today and my phone got stuck in recovery mode. I have nothing backed up and over a years worth of data on my aps aswell as very important baby photos that I was hoping I wouldnt lose. I have tried holding lock/home a few times and does not work, also I have tried RecBoot with the same outcome. I am getting very worried and cant access my phone. Is there any ways I can either cancel the update or exit recovery without restoring the phone ? Thanks in advance !!!

4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iPhone 4

Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all.  So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?

B-Mobile Network Issue iPhone 5

Hello I have done a little research and this appears to be a network wide issue with Data sims on the B-Mobile network. The iPhone does not correctly calculate the strength of the network and thinks it has no signal (even if you really have full signal)  and powers the radios up to max impacting the battery life of the iPhone greatly. I believe this to be because the SIM cannot work as a phone at all the iPhone does not realise this even though the data connection is perfect. A major issue with my Iphone 4. So basicly Itunes won't recgonize the Iphone, I basicly tried everything. I also think the DFU mode doesn't work for me. There isn't any problem with the computer or the usb cable beacuse Itunes recognizes my bro's Iphone.I really don't know what else can I try.Tried updating to 6.1.3 using the iphone without the itunes but it comes out with an error.

I am a developer, and have an iPhone 5 that I am trying to install the ios7 beta to. Being my first time doing this, I wasnt aware you would need the phone's UDID # before doing this.  My iPhone is in recovery mode, but it asking me to register the iPhone on my developer account. However, to do this, I need the phone's UDID #... iTunes has it in recovery mode and won't show me it, I don't have the box, and the phone itself is in set up mode so it won't show me either! Am I stuck? PLEASE HELP! As of now, I have no idea of how to find it, I have googled a million times, and am exhausted and need to get my phone working. Iphone 4 in recovery mode after failed attempt to restore

I decided to do a system restore on my Iphone 4 GSM yesterday. Now it keeps getting stuck at around 10% when 'Restoring Iphone Software'.The IOS was up to date, so is the Itunes version. It's in recovery mode, and I can't turn it back on, install the IOS again or anything of the sort. I tried restoring it from DFU also, it still won't work. Tried reinstalling Itunes, to no avail. I don't believe it's bricked, is it? Since it is being recognised when connected to Itunes.Any chance it gets stuck like that just because it takes a long time to restore it? (I had a lot of stuff on it, and it's the first proper restore attempted on this device) Any idea of how I might fix this?  Thanks in advance.

my iphone 5 recently had its battery replaced coz it had died.and after a week, it overheated when i was watching utube vids. The battery was at 50%,i let it cool and fell asleep. nxt morning it wouldnt turn on and i have tried the sleep?wake button and home button , but that was not good. ive also tried dfu mode, no luck. i also charged it for around 2 hours and still no luck. but surely the battery shouldnt be the problem when the baterry was replaced excatly a week ago.

IMEI shows unit as replaced iPhone 4S

I received an unlocked iPhone 4s as a christmas gift from the US. (I live in the Philippines.) When I got it it was still in its original plastic and sealed. I have recently had trouble with it  (Updated ios, got the battery glitch, did the forum repairs, got the recovery mode errors, did the Apple Support KB tips, got error 40 and 1601, now just want to wipe the phone completely.) and am trying to see if a repair is possible. 1) Philippine service centers won't touch it, because it is not an "in-country" purchased phone, and is out of warranty. That's fine, I get that.2) When going to the self-help site, there is an "IMEI checker" when trying to submit a ticket. I punched in the IMEI found on the outside of the box, and it shows that the phone has been replaced.3) It's never been replaced. Ever. I had never even brought it in for repair in any store, in any country, until yesterday, to an accredited shop. My questions are:1) Is it possible that this is an error?2) What possible recourses are there for me for repair? I'd like to avoid sending the brick back to the States and then pay a kidney for a repair/replace. (Might as well get another phone!)

iPhone 5 stuck on Searching and will not make or receive calls

As I have stated, iphone will not pick up any network and just stays on searching. Also, when "call" button is "pressed" the buttons does the graphic of being pressed, but doesn't make the call. Also des bnot receive calls or text messages.  Have tried turning on and off/rebooting, turning airplane mode on and off, checked to make sure cellular data is on, resetting network settings. No changes. I wanted to download pictures from phone to laptop and connected the devices together and it said i needed to upgrade to latest software... now its in recovery mode... would the back up happen without me knowing ? i dont want to loose 750 precious photos ..... anyone know any info ?

iPhone 5 won t turn on

So i dropped my phone.. oops. I connected it to the charger because it said it was dead, when i connected it to the charger, the apple logo screen came on.So I had to put my phone in restore mode because I couldn't get past that screen.It finally connected to iTunes but right when it the bar fills for 'Preparing for restore.." my phone unconnects from the computer and dies again. It says (error 23) which is a security error supposedley, but it still doesnt work after turning security off. Its still stuck on that stupid screen and I feel so horrible without my phone. please help.

To begin with my phone was underwater about 65'. Miraculously from what I can tell the only thing broken is the screen, which is entirely black, and the phone seems to be in recovery mode. I've tried every program I can find online to bypass recovery mode for both windows and Mac but no luck. I don't care about the phone I just want my honeymoon pictures off of it. My iPhone 4 will not restore and update on iTunes. Error 26. I have tried everything. Removing battery. Removing motherboard. DFU/Recovery mode. No luck. Could it be hardware issue?

So I dropped my iphone in water.

I let it sit in rice/grits for a very long time. After leaving it in the rice overnight it worked fine for a few hours than it just shut off that day. I tried turning it on but nothing so I plugged it in and it turned on but then it glitched and kept just turning it off. So I plugged it in the computer and and did the recovery mode for it because it wouldn't turn on at all anymore even with the charger. But now after I did the recovery mode it'll only turn on a little bit, like it will only show the white apple for a slight bit then shut off, then it will just constantly repeat. I took it off the charger thinking that it might be bad for the battery and put it in rice again but still the same results. Any suggestions on what else to do or what could be wrong with it? Do you think I just have a bad battery and need to replace that? I'm trying to avoid spending any money or better yet having someone else look at it.

LTE problems iPhone 5

Okay so I am using the iPhone five on AT&T, When I am in a LTE area, sometimes it will drop the LTE and default to 4G, Meanwhile my second phone I carry which is an android phone that is LTE will not drop the signal ever. To get the iPhone to switch back to LTE I have to toggle airplane mode on and off then it will work fine. If I do nothing and leave the particular area to go to a much stronger LTE signal area It can take quite a while before it will switch to LTE in the strong signal area. I've done several restores, installed minimal apps, so I don't know if it's a software issue or not. My android phone has no issues with switching from LTE to 4G, it's flawless, so the iPhone has me concerned, should I exchange it for a new one or is this normal for the iPhone, I really hate to give up my iPhone for a refurbished one at the Apple Store.

Hello, I was updating my iPhone 5 and iOS, when my iphone took off and went into "recovery mode" ... I've tried turning it off and put it on, but it is still in the state. Now it seems to be that I need to reset the mobile phone, which means that all of my pictures and videos and messages disappear? Which I absolutely do not want to be the hit ... how should I do? I purchased my iPhone 5 in January 2013, In the past week, (5-25-13) my iPhone spearkers will randomly start to continuosly click. I have tried to put the phone in airplane mode, shut down all apps, and tried a software restore and I still occasionally get the random continuous clicking through my speakers and headphones. Does anyone know what this is? Is the phone defective? Any advice you have would be great.

It has come to my attention the there is more space that is being taken up on my phone by "other" than the amount of space that I'm actually using. It is taking 6.01 GB of my space and I'm getting sick and tired of having my phone tell me I don't have enough space when I try to take a picture or video. I have tried to restore my phone quite a few times and iTunes will not let me restore. Everything on my computer is up to date, it won't restore when I put it in recovery mode and it just won't let me restore. I have backed up my phone and when I finish, I click restore and every single time I get an error. There is no number that comes with the error.
