Package and product number differ iPhone 5
I bought the iPhone 5 from Star One mobile in Sim Lim Square Singpore recently. After reaching my place , just found that the serial number and IMEI number in my iPhone 5 product and the packaging box are different. When I check on the website the packaging number shows the product is replaced but the number in product shows valid. Can some one explain the difference?I did not anticipate an Apple product having a difference in serial and IMEI number from the packaging --- probable that the Star one mobile could have changed the package?

I have Iphone 5 here in Oman. But there is no any option of Enable LTE in cellular settings. Why is it so? mobile Operators have LTE services and my SIM is also privisioned with LTE. i have just had my iphone 4s lcd repaired and black spots are on screeen
i recently dropped my iphone4s,screen didnt smash or marked but wouldn't light up,made all the right sounds.took it to be repaired at local mobile shop and they sent it away to have new lcd and digitizer replaced. I got it marked and noticed home button had dropped then 5/6 days later 3 black marks/spots appeared on the bottom right hand side of screen??? returned to shop and engineer is refusing to repair as saying i damaged phone......I havent done anything apart from use it as it should be.can anyone shed some light as to why this is happening? many thanks

4S got run over by a car. I changed the broken display, functionality (sound, vibration, cameras, wireless, mobile data, emails and other notifications come in, I can here SIRI, etc.) is working (tested via cylay). Battery always low and phone turns off pretty fast after unplugging from the charger. Plugged in it turns off itself after about five minutes and restarts immediately again + display doesn't work (sometimes gets bright but there appears no clear picture only some grey tones). It worked about three times though that the display was clear and I could use the phone for about five minutes before it lost its picture again. What could be broken?

Hi all, yesterday I had two requirements from my iPhone 4 and none of them was fulfilled, so I decided that this is my last Apple device. If any of you can change my mind, go ahead a try. 1st, I wanted to copy a file (pdf) from my local drive at home and then open it in ezPDF Reader. So I used NetPortalLite to access my drive and downloaded the file inside the NetPortalLite. But when I wanted to move the file to ezPDF app it didn't let. Why it is so complicated to move files between apps? I have tried to copy in NetPortalLite, then paste in ezPDF Reader... it didn't work! 2nd, I wanted to access my local drive at home to run a video file. This function is available only in paid apps, although other mobile OS have this ability. Why it is not possible to browse local drives directly from the iOS or Safari? Is it so hard to implement this function to the iOS and make it available by SMB://IP_ADDRESS or \IP_ADDRESS? Thanks

I have tried resetting and erased all data but still no luck detecting network. 3G is found briefly when powering back up. I have tried two different sims from two different providers 3 an Vodafone but whilst carrier is found neither connect. Wifi if working fine as are all other phone functions. Any ideas?

There was a wrong buy , an app called mobile selling platform. For travel agents to do their flight booking thro ipad . . This happened by mistake , as normally when u download any app it would ask for the password , but some how this time it did not and the down loaded happened . I tried stopping the down load by putting off the power button , but still did not work . Hence this situation. I tried reporting a problem thro the link in the invoice , but to no success .error is reported . I need a refund and reversal . As I have of no use of the apps . I am no travel agent and tried calling the India office but was told that they had closed for the day . So then I posted this query on the communities to seek help in sorting this issue .....need help .

iPhone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls
Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iPhone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!! ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

I have noticed for the past few weeks that whenever I bump my iPhone 4S or put it down on a countertop / desk / bed or really any surface with less than the most possible care, it will vibrate and show the bell with a diagonal line through it. It isn't due to a notification. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It seems to have been a recent onset. I run an unlocked iPhone 4S on T-mobile in an Otterbox defender case. This seems to be since the t-mobile update.

hi.. im newb.. my missus & me just got 2 iphone 5 64gb, all up to date with ios and we both get the same problem. hopefully i can explain it properly. after u hit the button on the top when ur not using the phone and then come back later to use it, you press round button, sometimes nothing happens sometimes and it takes anywhere from 30 secs to a few minutes before it shows the slide to unlock screen. it doesnt happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. ive restarted a few times and this doesnt seem to have any effect. now my messages are doing the same thing - it hangs on a blank blue screen. my partner suggested it could be because its 64gb? either way, my phone is empty, like 50gb free. Any help would be appreciated. I use my phone for work & its annoying when u need to show someone a photo or something and right just then ur phone decides to go on vacation.....

Light leakeage from sides of my white iphone 4 iPhone 5
I've had my iphone 4 for 2 years and it didn't have this problem before,altough it was black then(but more on that later).A week ago i dropped it and the front screen shattered (just the glass) and so i went to a mobile phone repair centre where i ordered new pieces,only i ordered them in white and changed the entire exterior of the phone(i mean the front and back screens+home button).The day i fixed my iphone i noticed that the back camera is too bright and takes pretty ****** pictures..later,while using my iphone in the dark i noticed that there was ligt coming out of both sides od the phone.Is that normal?..also now that i've looked at it better i realise that the new pieces might not have been put well and so they are loose(could that be a reason for the ligh leakage,shitiness of the camera and the weir aspect of the flash-which you can also see through the glass and which seems kinda far from the glass,but that might be just my imagination.Why is this happenign to me and what should i do?Should i tell those people from the centre to put the pieces on again?

Hello, I have completed my 2-year contract agreement with AT&T and received the instructions for unlocking my iPhone 4. My question: My iPhone is synced. Now I should do a full backup and restore of the iPhone via iTunes, but will this (1) keep all my current apps and (2) affect my current settings, specifically will I need to re-adjust all my individual notifications (alert style, badge app icon, sounds, view in lock screen)? This would be a tremendous chore for me as I currently have 176 applications on my mobile. I appreciate your help with the answer to this. Thank you Regards, Chuck
I can't receive MMS messages can't access APN settings iPhone 4
Hi there, I'm from the UK and have an iPhone 4, 6.1.3, on T-mobile, and I can't seem to receive MMS messages. I've looked online for a solution and people have mentioned the need to change APN settings, which I understand you access through the 'cellular data network' tab in the settings menu, but this tab is not showing up on my iPhone. With this being the case, how can I go about enabling MMS on my iPhone? This is driving me nuts at the moment, any help at all would be extremely appreciated. Thanks, Joe
7 different faults-it hardware failure iPhone 4S
I've had my 4S since January 2012. All was well for about a year, and then the fun began.1) When the weather got colder (Less than five or six degrees), the phone would suddenly claim to have a flat battery, and turned itself off. Plugging in an external battery pack brought it back to life. Taking it back inside a warm building would bring it back to life again. 2) About twice a month, it crashes, and wipes all my contacts/calendar data. I started backing up to iCloud, so then it would restore from there, but muddle my contacts' photos up.3) It refuses to sync with iTunes. It says there's not enough memory. Sometimes on the phone, sometimes on my PC.4) At least once a day, it loses the ability to join any mobile network. Turning it off and on again usually allows it to rejoin my network (T mobile).5) Instead of T mobile, it randomly likes to show my operator name as 000-0000.6) It helpfully closes all my Safari tabs if I minimise Safari and use another app.7) The GPS is failing, which is a real nuisance because I use Nike+ for my daily jog. T mobile's tech help were not very much help as soon as they realised I'd had the phone for over a year, and was therefore no longer covered by their warranty. They reckoned it was a hardware failure. I've purchased Apple Care today, and booked a Genius Bar appointment for Friday. Does anyone have experience of any of these problems?

I downloaded facebook to my iphone and lost all my data. It then slowly came back except I lost all my phone/contacts. Then my phone got disconnected. My provider Optus re-connected my phone and don't know who or why it was disconnected. I still have lost my contacts. Now when I use another phone I get the msg that there are 3 on the conversation and also with my mobile number not displayed I get the number showing "Wombat Service" what does this mean? Is my phone being used by another person? and have they taken my contacts? Not sure what is happening but my phone is playing tricks on me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not send or receive msgs? Could you please explain. Thank you. Annie

Hello! I watched a video and so I did not recognise the iPhone switched off WiFi on its own somehow! I received an e-Mail that 90% of my 2 GB are used, it must have taked 500 MB or more! Is there an app, gadget or a system function to get a warning, when I'm at home but in 3G instead of WiFi? It happens often to me that 3G is used at home. And when I forget to switch of mobile datas I have to buy an upgrade or the Internet is get awfully slowly!
How to get iPhone 5 2013 GSM model
So I had AT&T and bought the iPhone 5 from them, on contract, back on December 15 2012. I wanted to save money and have Unlimited Data so I paid an Early Termination Fee to cancel my contract, got my unlock from them, and moved to T-mobile prepaid $60 plan/mo. So I get Edge coverage, or 3G wherever their reframed 1900 network is. BUT now T-mobile has their own iPhone that is LTE-enabled, and has the 1700/2100 AWS bands, for 4G/LTE in most places! Can I get my model replaced with this model?? If so, how? It has the same model number as mine but people are referring to it as the "GSM 2013 model".

I know the straight talk iphone 5 is using Verizon's tower which is CDMA, but I also heard it can but use for any GSM sim card such as T-mobile and ATT. I just went to walmart and brought an straight talk iphone 5, but i have not open yet. On the back of the box it says the phone is model A1429, so I am really wondering if the straight talk iphone is GSM A1429 or CDMA A1429. I have an iphone 4 GSM unlocked using straight talk sim card. It works just fine, but is a bit slower compare to straight talk CDMA. I know the straight talk does not support LET, but if the straight talk iphone is GSM A1429 using CDMA 3G netwrok, I can switch to Tmobile LET 4G network when I move. Does anybody know?
Factory unlocked a1428 T-mobile firmware iPhone 5
I purchased a factory unlocked 64gb a1428 iphone 5 last November for use on T-mobile's network. It is my understanding that there were no hardware changes between the at&t a1428 and the upcoming T-mobile a1428, as the Qualcomm radio is firmware upgradeable. I understand that there will not be a user friendly flash upgrade (I wouldn't trust an enduser to administer a firmware update that can permanately brick their phones), So I was wondering if those of us with factory unlocked phones would be able to have the upgrade done at an apple support center?

I've downloaded snapchat, and I want to start using it. It needs to verify my number first. When i try, a new message appears, and I press "send", and then a window pops up: "Succes! if T-mobile version of iPhone 5 will be sold in apple stores
I don't mean the factory unlocked a1428 version that'll be sold by apple at retail price. I mean the t-mobile version that'll be locked to t-mobile only as an you'll put down the $99 and pay the $20 EIP. Will apple sell the tmo iPhone 5 just like they do for Verizon AT&T and Sprint? The reason I ask is because it would be much more convenient for me to pick it up from Apple than to sign up with t-mobile and wait for it to arrive in the mail for god knows how long.
