Backup Issues deleting Other Files iPhone 4S

I recently replaced my iphone screen and afterwards I discovered that my camera roll had crashed. with it, I lost all of my pictures and videos. Luckily, I recovered them from a program that I had downloaded. However, the storage that used to take up my photos and videos on my phone had transfered to the "other" section on itunes. Is the only way to remove/decrease the storage of the "other" file by restoring your iphone? I don't want to restore my iphone because I am also having issues with backing up my phone. Whenever I try to back it up on itunes, it says "the backup was corrupt or not compatable with the iphone". My phone has never been backed up because of this issue, so if I were to restore my phone then all off my files would be deleted. I have tried reseting my phone, but the "other" section is unchanged. Is there anyway I can delete the corrupt files on my phone? I have tried removing all pictures, videos, apps, and music in an attempt to discover the source of the corrupt files but I haven't found them. Also, if I was to "restore backup" with my iphone from my ipad, would that mean losing my messages?

Okay so first my iPhone 4s had a storage problem. So I bought an iPhone 5 and restored my old settings to the iPhone 5. Sadly that carried over the storage bug to my new phone. I went and reset all of the factory settings and started from scratch. I have now fixed my storage problem, but I made this a new iPhone, and did not restore from a back up this time. I set it up with the same phone number of course, expecting it to take in my contacts from my cell phone number. I sync everything, and my contacts are there. But they aren't MY contacts....they're my mom's.... So how can I get rid of her contacts and import mine. I tried turning off iCloud contacts and deleting them, and turning it back on. But its the same. Help!?

I have been getting this error message for a while... it seems to be the only thing that helps is deleting all my photos and all my music and the bigger space sucking apps.... however what good is the phone if i have to delete everything i use in order to download something new.... What am i doing wrong? I dont want to keep deleteing all my music or pics just so i can buy one or two songs from itunes...

Problems deleting Voice Memo s iPhone 3G

Hello!Im new to the forum but after looking through the forums relating to this issue and trying everything suggested i still have a problem with deleteing voice memo's! The problem:My iphone has no music songs, videos etc on at all only apps and photos. I recently restored from back up but chose to add my songs manually but before i even got that far the voice memo's playlist was already on my iphone and 123 voice memo's are on the phone and are also in the "music" section of the iphone, these voice notes are from last year! I have deleted all voice memos from the app itself and also deleted all voice memos from itunes itself and then sync'd but these voice memos remain! Itunes wont let me delete the voice notes from the iPhone through itunes whether that be though the playlist or through the music tab and as they dont show up anywhere on the phone im out of ideas!  Has any one got a solution? its driving me insane and its over 2GB of voice notes and i think its contributing to my 3.5GB of "other"! Any help would be greatly appreciated and apologies if this has been covered before! Thanks RinaRoo

My iPhone 5 won t let me download certain apps. They show up on itunes but not on my phone if I download app from my computer it loads on my phone then immediately disappears. FREE button white in app store for certain apps. PLEASE HELP

I'm so frustrated and in desperate need of help, I don't know what else to do! Certain apps such as Tumblr (I've previously had the Tumblr app on my phone) and Vine will NOT dowload on my phone. I've tried deleting all apps from both my iPhone and iTunes, I've tried restoring my phone then backing it up, I've tried downloading the app from iTunes while my phone is plugged into my computer, etc. When I search the apps in the app store they show up but the 'FREE' button is white and unclickable, it's very frustrating. When I download it from iTunes while my phone is plugged in I can watch it download, but when it's done it immediately dissapears from the screen and from my phone. When I plug my phone into iTunes it say I have the Tumblr and Vine apps, but I assure you, I do not. I have deleted and tried to add them so many times but it never works. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

iPhone 5 eBay and certain websites won't work unless on WiFi.

As the subject says, my iPhone 5 software 6.1.3 has been acting weird, beyond a constant battery drain, recently I have noticed that my eBay app will not work/connect unless I am on WiFi.  It's also the same for some websites on Safari, one being www.tfw2005.com (a transformers fan site I always go to).  I just noticed this the other day.  I've tried resetting my networking settings, hard-reset, deleting the app and reinstalling and nothing.  I'm not sure why it would single out that one website either.  I get the N1 error can't connect after trying to use the eBay app and TFW site.  Any suggestions?

I did an iphone 4 software update. It then asked me to do a "restore" in order for me to be able to use the latest iTunes. I did a "restore" to "factory settings" (this was the only option listed) thinking I'd be able to sync later and get everything back and ended up losing all my purchased apps and iTunes. When I open iTunes, "Welcome to your new iphone" and it says I can re-do the "restore" and choose my lastest update. I assume this will give me back my apps and iTunes. When i choose to do this, it says there isn't enough space on the iPhone. How do I know how much space needs to be freed up? I purchased a new samsung laptop with windows 8.  I have an iphone 5 and Im trying to sync the two.  I deleted itunes from my old computer b/c my assistant was taking it over.  When I check anything in itunes it give me a message that itunes will over ride my iphone with what is on the computer, which is nothing.  I cannot figure out how to do this without deleting everything.  Please  help.  Thanks.

Problem with corrupted iPhone photo albums

I have a problem with my iPhone "Photos" app. When I open it is see hundreds of "ghost" albums in the Albums tab. I have tried to turn off syncing photos in iTunes and then turn it back on again, and so deleting all albums and photos and then re-applying- but no luck.  I also tried to sync with an empty folder on my Mac instead of the iPhoto library, but this still does not delete the albums. Anyone know how to nuke the photos on an iPhone and start from scratch WITHOUT having to restore the iPhone to its factory state?

Here's the story. I dropped my phone in a swimming pool. It did not start at first. I layed the phone in a bag of uncooked rice and after 5 days it seemed like it was going to startup again. However something was wrong with teh battery so we ordered a new battery. The phone started up with the new battery but it wanted to go into that recovery mode. I did go through the backup procedure in iTunes and then recovery. The phone is now starting up fine but it is blank from apps and photos like a new phone. I did not have any photos backed up over iCloud before this happened. However shouldn't the photos still be on teh memory card of the phone? I thought the recovery process just resets the phone to factory standard, not deleting my photos. How can I get my old photos out of the phone? They are not in the DCIM when I log on through Windows explorer as well.

iPhone 4 randomly losing contacts

Hey everyone, I have an iphone 4 and over the past few weeks it has just randomly been losing my contacts.  I have them all backed up in my computer, but it is still annoying and worrisome.  I don't have iCloud syncing turned on, nor does it happen after I have synced or anything.  It will just happen in the middle of the day while it is sitting on my desk.  I'll look over to answer a text or something and notice all my contacts gone and my texts and phone calls are just listed by numbers.  It has only been happening recently.  I have 1.6 GB of space left (of a 16 GB iphone 4) so I don't think it is a space issue, but what do I know?  Could it be deleting my contacts because its out of room?  I'm totally at a loss.  Geez.  Any help?

iPhone Mail Application Help

When I was searching through my iPhone today, I noticed that a lot of my old emails from my various accounts appeared. I tried deleting my email accounts and putting them back on to see if the old emails would disappear for good. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Is there a software glitch in the mail application? Will Apple fix this problem in another software update? Do I need to change some settings in my email accounts? This is driving me mad and it is so annoying to see old emails just lingering around.

I have a 64gb iPhone 5.  After updating to iOS 6.1.3, I can no longer receive email to my exchange account.  I keep getting an "unable to verify" message.  This happened immediately after I updated the phone.  I tried turning the phone off and on after the update, and I then tried deleting the account and reentering the information.  I did not have any luck.  Has anyone had a similar problem?

how can I keep old appointments from deleting in my iphone calendar

It seems iphone's calendar automatically deletes past appointments.  It won't even let me make an appointment for something that happened in the past.  I need to reference old appointments though so is there some way to make the iphone save old appointments or at least ask me?  It has nothing to do with syncing to my computer as I rarely do that.  This is really annoying.  My old Palm would save everything and it was great since I could go back and see the last time I went to the dentist, etc.  Is there a fix to this?

Iphone 4s deleted notes calendar items

Why does Iphone delete notes or calender items?  More importantly, how would I accidently delete them and is there a way to restore them? This happened with my calander items a month ago.  All of a sudden my appointments for the future and past were gone.  I got them back by restoring it (I THINK.)  After the fact I realized icloud was free and now use that as a back up for my phone. Then again today I was going to delete an item on my note and ALL my notes were gone.  I don't understand how it could of been my fault though.  When you open the Note app I had 9 different 'threads' I will call them.  Within each thread I had more 'notes'.  I was deleting one note from a thread and all of a sudden all my threads were missing by two. I am not sure how I accomlished this, but Notes was not set up in my iClould and I don't know how to get it back.  My issue I know, but any help would be appreciated.   Thanks!

I recently updated my iPhone4 (GSM) Verizon to iOS 6.1.2.  Since the update none of my 3rd party apps will open.  I have tried suggestions such as downloading, installing and running a free app which has not worked.  I tried a hard reset no dice.  I tried deleting the apps and then reinstalling them through iTunes.  I tried restoring which did not work.  Any ideas?

HELP Iphone 5 STUCK IN RECOVERY SCREEN

last night my iphone 5 (6.1.2) randomly froze, it then wouldnt get past the apple logo, so i connected it to my laptop to Restore it (Which Failed) "Unknown Error (-1)" now my iphone is stuck on the recovery logo and doesnt move. Mail only working over Cellular no WiFi Networks. iPhone 3G

A couple of days ago my Mail service at home stopped working. I only can receive Emails when I switch off WiFi and use my AT&T 4G. At home I am using a whole Apple enviorment and all my devices (iPad mini (6.1.1), iPhone 4S (6.1.2), iPad (5.1.1), MacBook Pro (10.8.2)) can not receive Emails. When I am going to iCloud.com I can send and receive mails on my Mac, but over the OS X Mail.app and iOS Mail.app nor receiving nor sending works. I am using several Accounts on all deveices (iCloud, Yahoo!, Google and AOL) most of them are not working, only AOL received one mail yesterday. My first thought was of course the WiFi network which might have problems with the Apple Mail program, but I already tried another network with my iPhone. In this other network I am getting an error on my iPhone which tells me "Cannot get Mail. Connection to server failed." On my Mac at home mail.app tells me that my account are offline and that there might be a problem with iCloud, for more information visit iCloud support etc. Yes I did restart my deveices, yes I tried deleting and adding the mail account, yes I tried restarting the WiFi and yes I did that with iOS and OS X.

Low memory space but wrong iPhone 4S

On my iphone 4s the phone shows photos and camera usage at 9 GB when hooked to itunes shows 10 GB in "other" and small amount in photos and camera?  I have like 40 pictures on the camera after deleting almost everything.  Any ideas what could be causing this?  I looked and couldn't find anyone having a similar issue.. Please help with Game Center error iPhone 3G

I have recently encountered a new Game Center error. The game I am playing is Five-O. My problem is that I can't play any moves. I get an error message. It says, "Game Center Error" "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again". I can create a new game just fine, but I only get the error message when I try and play a move.  I tried it on both 3G and Wifi on my iPhone 4S. My friend tried playing Five-O online on his phone and he had no problem. I have tried deleting and re-downloading the app. I tried deleting the app and then transferring it back to my phone via iTunes. I have signed out of Game Center and rebooted my phone, soft and hard.  I contacted the developer to ask if there were any issues with the game and he said there weren't any issues and that it might be a Game Center issue. He suggested I try another game, so I downloaded Letterbox. with Letterbox, I got pretty much the same error message, except this message said "Uh oh! There was an error submitting your turn. Please try again. If that doesn't work, try closing the app and relaunching (Error #3)". Is my Game Center account screwed? Is there any way to save my account? It's the same e-mail I use for my Apple ID, so I would really like to avoid having to juggle two different accounts on my phone, just for gaming purposes... If anyone can please help me out, I would greatly appreciate it!  Thank you so much!

I may have messed up my wife's iPhone. I connected it to my computer and it synched on my iTunes, adding a number of apps from my iPhone to hers. Now her Facebook app won't launch. You touch it, and the phone thinks for a second, then just returns to the home screen. Is there a way to deal with this other than deleting the app and reinstalling it?

HomeLock button stopped working iPhone 4S

My Iphone 4s said I was running low on storage, so.. I went to settings>general>usage and began to delete the apps that took up unnecesssary space.. Then I tried to return to my home screen, but my physical and assistive touch home buttons and my lock button did absolutely nothing. I know that it is not a hardware malfuction as when I double click my home button I get zoom/assistive touch options.Im worried that this is a consequence of deleting something I shouldnt have. I am now stuck on my settings page and although I can maneuver around it perfectly fine.. Please help!!

I had forgotten my passcode long back and I did fresh refresh to enable my iPhone. Now I can see "profile setting" between Accessibility & Reset Optings in "Settings>General" and Profile name given is "informate". Its showing it "Verified" and received on 30-Jun-2012 and expires on 26-Jun-2013. What does it mean? Does this profile drain battery. Cause after that my battery drainange is fast. Does removing that profile cause any damage? Please do reply if anyone have any idea/knowledge about it.Now-a-days i m facing battery drainage problem, phone gets too hot and also in stand-by 2% batterly power loss in first hours, then it increases. My 4s (Non Jailbroken) is having the following issues:1) unable to access email.       Tried going into settings and deleting email accounts, I am unable to access the mail setting just kept bouncing me out2) Unable to access photos3) Unable to access iCloud.     Tried changing the settings and bounces me out.4) Power cycles every several minutes. This week I updated some of the aps on my phone and that is when it all started.   I was on the phone with tech support (Verizon) they determined that it was the battery and sent a new phone out.  Restored the new phone and have the same problem. Is there a work around to fix these problems?

The URL is very long but it mentions the following words in the URL: applewebdata, Mozilla;Netscape;5.0, iPhone like Mac OS AppleWebkit like Gecko Mobile undefined, iPhone undefined,  Mozilla/5.0 iPhone CPU, iPhone OS like Mac OX AppleWebkit HTML like Gecko Mobile. There's some HTML encoding - en-us;ISO-8859And near the end of the url, it mentions a Quicktime Plugin and links to the Apple Quicktime page. It's extremely annoying and I have no idea how to get rid of it. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but it's still happening. I don't even know if it pertains to just this app, but so far it's the only one that does it. Does anyone know how to fix it?

On my iphone I installed Clash of Clans. On its first launch I got the push notifications popup:  "Clash of Clans"Would Like to Send You Push NotificationsNotifications may include alerts, sounds and icon badges. These can be configured in SettingsDon't Allow / OK At first I didn't want them so I chose Don't Allow. Later I wanted them back anyway so I went to Settings > Notifications to turn the notification center settings back on, but they already were. I didn't get any push notifications though while the game was playing/running. Could that have anything to do that I denied them on the app's first launch? If so, how do I reset that? I tried using 'clear all settings' in the iphone settings, but that didn't help. Also tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but that didn't work either. Instead of starting over, the game continued from the last settings. Including levels, game setup, buildings, etc.  When you accidentaly choose Don't Allow on such first push notification popups, how can you reset that. Or change it back to allow push notification permissions should you change your mind afterwards?
