How i confirm my iphone has been unlocked

I'm trying to unlock and sell an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 4.  I went through AT&T and submitted unlock requests for both, and received emails saying that they'd been unlocked.  I then erased all content and settings from the phones.  When I turn them on, they both start up as if they are new--going through language set up and all that.  These all seem like signs that the phones are ready to be sold as "unlocked".  But I would love to know if there's another way to confirm this.  I'd hate to sell either of these phones to someone and then discover that I've made an error.  Does anyone have a tip for me?  Should I bring the phones into the Apple store and have them confirm this for me?

I want to delete other off my phone iPhone 4S

It has come to my attention the there is more space that is being taken up on my phone by "other" than the amount of space that I'm actually using. It is taking 6.01 GB of my space and I'm getting sick and tired of having my phone tell me I don't have enough space when I try to take a picture or video. I have tried to restore my phone quite a few times and iTunes will not let me restore. Everything on my computer is up to date, it won't restore when I put it in recovery mode and it just won't let me restore. I have backed up my phone and when I finish, I click restore and every single time I get an error. There is no number that comes with the error. I am starting to get ****** of because the "other" is taking up almost half of my space on my phone. Thank you for any help that you provide.

iphone 5 and backing up corrupt

I'm trying to back up my iPhone to my computer, and I'm getting the message"iTunes could not back up the iPhone [my_name] because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone"  I sorta know how it happened.  I lost a hard disk, but kept a current backup of my entire iTunes library on another drive (because I've lost drives before) and when I replaced it, itunes worked again, except for this...  Anyhow, I've googled this problem, and found a solution; in Device Preferences > Devices, delete any backups that appear, and then try again.  But... The box is empty.  There are no backups listed.  I used to have one, I know I did.When I try to back up again, thinking it would create a Device Backup, I get the error. I'm not interested in recovering anything from the backup, as I have original on the phone, as well as the current library. I just need to delete something in the iTunes folder in order to clear this problem, but I don't know what.  (I'm an advanced user, I can handle it.)  Help! thanks

My iPhone won t let me play my games

I have no problem at all with my iPhone and I can play my games finely, until unexpectedly I tried to play a game but It doesn't start. The iPhone turn black in half second (temporary thing before the game loads), and it turn to the main screen. I thought it was just one of my games, but it also does the same thing in another games, whole of it. Not just the games, but also other downloaded applications (yes, all of it). I try to reset, but it still doesn't work. What such an error does my iPhone cause?btw i use iPhone 4

Audio IssueFeature in Video Playback iPhone 5

I have just picked up on a 'thing' with the video playback on the iPhone 5. It seems that dynamic range compression and/or EQ is applied to the soundtrack of videos. I first noticed it when I was trying to watch a few concert films and noticed that not only was the sound horrendous but during the high volume scenes, it was distorting. I have tested the same movies on an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad which don't seem to have this problem/feature. Has anyone else noticed it? And even better yet, figured out a way to get rid of it?   Additional thoughts: I have also noticed that when you play music through the loudspeaker, some form of dynamic range compression is also applied to the sound. Personally I think it sounds terrible but I can understand why Apple would have done this. However, it doesn't affect the headphone output signal, thank goodness, SO, I speculate that it could be a bug that when a video is played, the OS isn't recognising that the headphones are no longer a loudspeaker and not bypassing the audio signal, therefore applying the compression to the sound.  Playing the video audio through Bluetooth headphones removes the compression and distortion of the sound track in videos, and that would have been the solution, but now videos no longer play in sync with audio through Bluetooth on the iPhone 5. (Grr.) Last thing, the new EQ 'Late Night' that adds compression and EQs the sound in the Music app and sounds possibly like the effect that is being applied to video audio output.

iPhone 4S continuously shows low load balance notification

It all started when I took some pictures today, then after couple of photos, the Camera app crashes. Tried to open up the camera app again and attempted to take some photos but it crashes immediately again. Couple of seconds later I get this notification. Lots of it. Next thing I did is to hard restart my iPhone but although the notification appears again even though I don't take pictures now. It seems for me that this issue isn't influenced by the camera at all but more on iOS issue. From then on I keep getting this notification to the point whenever I wake my iPhone, I keep pressing the DISMISS button. This is really annoying and frustrating as it attempts to consume my load. For additional info:iPhone 4S 32GBiOS 6.1.3Not jailbrokeniPhone is not set for any 3G/data subscription, whatsoever. Mainly my problem is that most of the time now i have to switch toEDGE and then back to 4G to get faster internet. Hi everyone! I have an Iphone 5 that was newly "remodeled" for tmobile. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my battery after a recent decline in performance. I am updated to the latest iOS and I recently restored all of my settings on my phone in an attempt to increase battery performance, leaving only wifi on location for weather. With my current usage and standby, do I have something to be concerned about? I know some individuals that have my usage and will have a standby time of over a day. #I just received my BRAND NEW, SEALED, iPhone4 32 GB FACTORY UNLOCKED which I bought from Ebay. After unboxing, I switched on the phone to find that it was already activated, and did NOT show the "Connect to iTunes" screen, which gave me doubts whether this phone is actually brand new, the phone does have that protective film on the front and back which normally comes with brand new iPhones, anyhow I went online and did some intense research and found interesting facts about the serial number, and from my understanding the phones with serial numbers starting with 5K could be a refurbished phone, and indeed my supposedly BRAND NEW iPhone which came in a sealed retail box with all accessories does have a 5K serial number, so I did some more googling and came across a web site which gives details about an iPhone with its serial number and it shows this phone is a refurbished one. I checked on Apple website for warranty and it says "We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contactus."  #Now all you good knowledgeable people out there, please please shed some light on this matter.Is this really a genuine brand new phone? When I contacted the seller regarding     the phone being already activated, he said it is normal with phones     which are factory unlocked. But I believe it is actually supposed to     show  - “Connect to iTunes” screen. That was how it was with my     iPhone 3G. At least right out of a brand new box. Am I correct? How can a refurbished iPhone come in a     sealed retail box? Even if that was the case, would it cost the same     as a normal brand new FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone because I paid US $     904.00 for this. Does Apple sell refurbished iPhones as     new? What confuse me is that the box have all the labels intact as     it was a sealed box, and the serial number and IMEI number match     with the actual phone. Should I consider this a genuine     product that Apple meant to sell as it is or better I go for a claim     and either get a refund or replacement from the seller on Ebay?.   Thank you very much in advance for all your kind help and insights. When I sync my iphone 4s or my ipad in itunes with the lates upgrade in itunes I don't see how I can organize my apps, to move them from one screen to the other.  I've looked all over itunes as the device is syncing and I see nothing, use to be on the right side and you could drag from one area to the other.  Anyone know?

Today I completed a software update for my iPhone 5 without backing it up because I did not receive a warning that all my data would be erased and so, did not realize it would be an issue. Upon completing the update, I realized my mistake but figured it was too late to revert the damage and continued with the restoration of my phone to its factory settings. After completing the update, I realized just how much data was lost (including important notes with financial information and images and videos of recent trips around Europe). Now I am desperate to try to recover the data deleted in the update. Is there any chance at all that I can recover something? The notes and videos are most important to me. I am also missing many Messages but that is less important to me. Can anyone please help? Any response is greatly appreciated!

Water Damage iPhone 4S

On May 18, 2013: Yesterday my cousin and I tipped our canoe while on a river. We had our electronics in a ziploc bag which included my iPhone 4S. We managed to save almost everything including the ziploc bag. We were stuck floating down the fast moving rapids for atleast 30 minutes keeping firm grip on everything. Once our fellow canoe group caught up with us we put everything in their canoe and made a pit stop. There we put the electronics out to dry (only a little bit of water got it). I managed to send one quick text out and tried hard to shut off the phone but it kept rebooting. When we got back to my grandma's house I investigated the iPhone. It was on and working BUT the flash was stuck on and the power button didn't always work, water behind the lower part of the screen  I tried hard to turn it off but it just kept rebooting. With no rice I just layed it out in the sun for an hour.  About 2 hours later we rushed to the mall and went to the Apple Store. They checked the status of the warranty and it just expired 5 days ago. Ugh.. So they just told us there was little they can do and they will replace it for $200.00. At this point I didn't want to give up. At the Apple Store the iPhone was having such a melt down. The Apple employee struggled to keep it on as it kept turning itself off (power button issue). Everything else was functional besides the back camera full of water vapour and LED light. About 3 hours after that I got home I put the phone in rice. I noticed the phone some how got into recovery mode.  Over night and about 24 hours later I took the phone out of the rice plugged into iTunes on my iMac. It was just on recovery mode asking me to recover it on iTunes. It wouldn't work because it kept going into UNKNOWN error 2001 and UNKNOWN error 2006. I read somewhere a fix can be putting it from recovery mode into DFU mode. But remember the power button isn't still working so it is impossible to go into that mode. I think I got it once but still had the same errors. I am not ready to give up. I know there is no such thing as minor water damage but it really does seem minor because everything was functional just the phone put itself into recovery mode with a messed up power button.  I'm asking what I should do now. I really don't want to spend $200 for another iPhone 4S when the next generation iPhone will come at what ever time. It seems pointless getting an old phone than a new one. I just want to be able to use this one until then. Thanks for reading my rants. Brady

Iphone 4s turning off every minute

My Iphone is turning itself off every minute.  I've tried a reset while hooked to a computer and it doesnt even give it enough time to complete the reset before it shuts down again.  Keep getting error messages or looses the connection. Hard reboot doesnt work either.  Please help

Should I get iphone 5 containing 16gb or 32gb Or should I wait for newer version of iphone to come out

I'm planning on buying the iphone 5 because I have an upgrade available. I have never owned an iphone before, but I do have an 2gn ipod which has 8 gbs and has 2 apps and have used 5.5 of my 6.84 gbs available with songs(1175 songs). I have also have 30 photos, and have 1.5 gbs left to fill. If I do get the iphone 5 I will not put music on it, because I have my ipod. I would like to have a lot of apps though, because I like to test them out, and give reviews on them. I have a fair amount of photos in my current phone(around 400), but the camera quality is not that good, and I think because the iphone 5 have a lot more gbs than my current one that I will want to take more than I usually do(although I would probably upload them onto my computer and delete the originals off my phone). I don't have that many contacts and I have a tablet where I play my games and movies on, so that is not an issue. I know this is a bit long but I really want to make the right choice because I plan on having this phone until my next upgrade which is in 2 years. I want to know if 16gbs should be enough or if should I go with the 32gbs? OR if I should just wait for the newer version to come out, and if this is worth to buy. I would also would like to know what the perks and downsides are too. Thank you for your patience and time.

Canadian iPhone 5 in UK

Hello, I bought an iPhone 5 from the Canadian Apple store a few months back. I have just got back to the UK and inserted my UK sim card. I'm on Giff Gaff (O2) I can still make and recieve calls and texts. But most of my apps aren't working. Nor are any of my browsers. iMessage still works over 3G so i dont understand why my apps and safari arent sending or redceiveing data. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance, Tom

iPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode. error code-1 .

I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!

iPhone 5 Display Problem

Hello,Starting from a few weeks ago, my iPhone 5 has been functioning on its own accord. While swiping around the home screen or typing some things on the keyboard, the keys would magically press on its own. I had thought this was due to some hacking and turned off all forms of data, but the problem still persists. Is this a display issue?

iPhone 4S bluetooth issue

The thing is that i've been trying to use my iPhone 4S as master transmiter of GPS signals and accelerometer data for my ipad mini to use an app called air navigation pro, the deal is that when i try to pair my devices vía bluetooth they just seem not to recognize each other, the only way i can get them to work is by using personal hotspot or share internet option vía bluetooth, but thats the only way.I've heard theres a bug related to that, that our friends in cupertino just ignored when they updated IOS, Anyone can help me?, does Anyone has Any info about this, or maybe a solution.By the way since this may be due to my IOS instaled in my iPhone my devices are:-Ipad mini wifi only IOS 6.1.3-iPhone 4s IOS 6.1.3Thanks in advance for Any info proportioned
