Can you sync an unlocked verizon iphone and keep unlock iphone 4S

hi guyz i just brought an unlocked verizon iphone 4s and i wanna know is it safe to sync iphone to my pcwithout losing my unlock? idk kno if itz factory or not but i dont have cydia.one thing that scares me tho is that, i know when i sync I'll lose all apps, and it came with an app called APN (unlockit.co.nz)which states when i open it:                      iphone APN changer   this website will set mobile carrier info for dat access when you cannot editor do not kno settings. it dose not jailbreak or carrier unlock iphones click on the icon below to choose what you wish to do. i dont really know if i need this or not but itz another reason i been hesitantto sync my iphone. sorry for sounding like such a noob but i could use somehelp. Thanks

Ok I first noticed this last night when I left my apartments Wi-Fi area, my phone was jailbroken on 6.1 so I thought it might have been a recent update in cydia that caused it, but to make sure, I first tried rebooting my phone, nothing, reset the network settings, nada, then I pulled the sim card and reinstalled it, still nothing, even restoring as a new phone, but still not data or 4G/LTE icon, anyone else have this issue?

i recently broke my iphone´s screen, i could`t use it, because every time i used it i cut myself on the shattered glass so i went to ebay and found one of the cheapest replacement screen i could find ( because i couldn´t afford having someone fixing it, or bying something of better quality). I replaced the screen, everything seemed to be going well, until i found out that the proximity sensor wasn´t working. It is really annoying when i am calling someone or answering a call, because i keep putting them on hold, deactivating the microphone or hanging up accidently. Audiobook strangeness with iTunes iphone 4S on Mac

I recently made my first audiobook purchase from iTunes on my iphone 4s, using the phone. It downloaded directly to the phone as two 7-hour parts. I synced my phone to my computer, and I was then able to listen to most of the first part on my daily 110 mile commute. I have a kenwood receiver in my car that connects directly to the iphone via USB, and I can choose albums, artists,  podcasts, audiobooks, etc.  After my second sync since buying the audiobook, I could no longer play the audiobook either using the Music app on the iphone, or by connecting the iphone to my car's receiver. I tried playing the audiobook tracks directly in iTunes on my computer, and it plays fine. I did some online research, found someone with a similar problem that had been solved by removing the audiobook from their iphone and then adding it back again. I tried to do this, but it just made things worse.  Now, the audiobook is no longer in the Books area of my iphone, either in iTunes under DEVICES, or on the phone itself. The files show up in the playlist that I sync to my iphone, but they do not show up in the Music app on the iphone anywhere. The audiobook is not in Playlists, Artists, Songs, or Albums, and when I go to "More" on the iphone, the Audiobooks area is empty. When I connect my iphone to my car receiver, the Audiobooks folder is gone completely. The audiobook does not show up in "Books" on my iphone under DEVICES either. I tried adding the files directly to Books, but this was unsuccessful. The audiobook does show up in Books under LIBRARY in iTunes. This is really confusing. How can I get audiobooks working again on my iphone?

Extremely annoying Bluetooth A2DP drop-outs iphone 4

Hi I have a kenwood DDX-8024BT headunit in my car  My iphone 4 is running iOS 4.3.5, and is not jailbroken. It's also out of warranty.  The headunit and phone have paired OK, and I can make and recieve phone calls via the headunit. The issue is when I try and stream audio from the phone to the headunit via A2DP. Everything starts fine, but then after a random length of time (it varies - some time it's seconds or so, others minutes), there is a momentary loss of audio. Then it comes back, and is ok again for another random period of time. This continues for as long I'm streaming audio. I sometimes get several dropouts in rapid succsession, othertimes it's ok for several songs. It's very annoying!  The iphone streams music fine to my bluetooth bike intercom. No drop outs whatsoever. I've tried the following: Updating the BT software on the headunit (It did exactly the same on the old version as it now does on the new)Updating iOS as soon as there's a new version, in the hope that it might have some effect.Deleting the BT profiles on both the phone and the headunit, and repairing them after the S/W updateKilling all other background apps on the iphone that maybe still running in the background Reseting the network settings on the phoneTurned off 'Ask to join networks' Rebooting both devices (many times!)Sending the Headunit back to kenwood for repair (replacement Bluetooth module) None of them have had any effect - I don't believe it's ever worked properly, on any combination of headunit firmware / iOS  So - is there anything else I can try? Replacing the headunit isn't really an option... And I have exhausted the different settings on the headunit. Anything I can do in the settings on the iphone?  Cheers Jason.

I have an iphone 4s and a kenwood dvd deck not very old.  I connect the usb cord through the stereo and the song comes up shows it is playing but no audio... I can plug my htc in via usb and it will bring the songs up and play them just fine. I'm wondering if its the software or if there are settings for this to work properly or something... Hi guys, this is my first time posting and I am in desperate need of help!I have a jailbroken iphone 4 running 4.0.1 with baseband 1.59.00. It was all good until I had to reboot my iphone, which was where the trouble started. It wont reboot normally and is stuck on the apple logoo and will constantly loop.I tried restoring it through iTunes with the stock ipsw 4.0.1 firmware from apple but it wont work since apple doesnt sign the firmwre anymore. I havent had the chance to back up my shsh and I have just tried putting it in DFU/restore mode but Tinyumbrella wont recognize my iphone. I was wondering is there someway that I can back up my shsh onto my harddrive instead of cydia server and then do a restore in itunes? Is that method possible? This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iphone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple.##############################################################################I just dont get it , i didnt try to downgrade my phone or Jailbreak either. Just want to restore my phone with original firmware which is 4.2.1 .Tryed several times, I downloaded 3.1 from internet and restore my iphone with that old firmware.ITunes said same thing ( 1015 ) but when i used Recovery kicker , it escaped and switched on ! . So as a first time user, i took it to a mobile service center who said hell cut the card. Mine was an old Airtel sim. he cut it and tried to open the phone. But got the message as No sim. Hi,I need to boost the volume of my key click sounds (Im using an iphone 4 as part of a psychological experiment involving acoustic feedback).Its been no problem to replace the default key click sound (Tock.caf) with my own sounds (e.g. by using cydia and Winterboard in order to quickly load customized sound themes). However, the max volume for key clicks has been quite low since iOS 3.1: As soon as my sound is played back as a key click sound, it gets attenuated. If I play the same sound file over the built-in iPod, its much louder. Amplifying the volume of the sound file before uploading the file to the iphone does not seem to change anything.Does anybody know where in the iphone file structure the attenuation takes place? Aux Input on Car Stereo-iphone 4

I have a kenwood DPX302 cd player with an AUX input on the faceplate that looks like you plug in a standard headphone jack into it. I bought a cable with the male end on both ends from Radio Shack (told the person there what I needed it for) but when I plug it into my iphone 4 and the cd player, I get nothing. I press the source button like the manual says but the AUX option never appears. Any advice on what Im doing wrong? iphone 4 iOS 4 Got Beer?

Help Boot Logo Loop Cant Turn Off iphone 3G

Hi everyone,Ive got a huge problem with my iphone 3G Im hoping someone here can help me with. I wouldnt say Im technically minded but Ill do my best to explain the problem.All it does is constantly show the apple boot logo, it never actually boots to the springboard. It isnt being recognized by iTunes or the computer. It wont go into DFU or recovery mode, it wont even restart using the power and home key. The only way to get rid of the boot logo is to let it run out of power. I cant SSH into it either, the iphone doesnt respond to the SSH client.Everything seemed to be working fine. It was running jailbroken 3.1.2, I then upgraded to jailbroken 4.0 which seemed to work okay. I unlocked it successfully and restarted it and all still seemed okay. The problem I think was with an app called APT Backup, because I used it to make a backup list of my cydia apps in 3.1.2 then tried to restore them on firmware 4.0. They appeared to restore okay but after it asked me to restart, thats when the problem started happening.Ive spent hours searching the google for different solutions but Im getting nowhere. I have never used bluetooth and recently got an aftermarket radio that has bluetooth to comply with the stupid DE law starting in Jan. Anyway, I think I connected just fine but the symbol next to Devices in the setting area just keeps going around and around in a circle. I've been trying to change the color of the keyboard on my iphone, however, when I install settings that are specifically designed for that the change never happens. Im using cydia and the changes dont take effect in the select themes tab in winterboard. I'm not using a specific theme, so it should be working. Please help.

Cant sync phone book to car stereos on 3G iphone

iphone 3G problem.Bought a new kenwood deck with Bluetooth and built in phone and it wont download my address book. Went to the store and tried four or five different decks from different companies with the same results. Some decks wouldnt even Pair with me. Others paired but wouldnt download the addresses. One said I had to send the address book Manually which cant be done that I know of.Anyone had this problem? Is this typical of the 3G or should I complain to Apple? Jailbroken 3GS running 3.1.2 freezes with "too much" tethering iphone

A couple of months ago, I jailbroke my AT&T iphone running 3.1.2 and activated tethering. Seemed to work great. But after maybe 10 hours of tethered usage, the phone OS locked up and rebooting it left me at a permanent Apple logo. By the time this happened, Apple had released 3.1.3. But I had let cydia store my hash codes, so with considerable effort, I was able to download and restore to 3.1.2, rejailbreak using blackra1n, and restore tethering from that peacefulinsanity site. Twice since then, the same lock up then freeze at the Apple logo has occurred. When I've gone a couple of months without needing to tether, it never fails, but it now "feels like" that after a few hours of tethered use (somewhere between 5-20), it's pretty much guaranteed to lock up and require a full restore (I haven't tried one of the auto-boot recovery fixes yet, but I'm sure that I will get that chance sometime soon if I continue tethering.) Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, do you know what's causing it and how to avoid it? Thanks.

How to control what music my iphone automatically starts playing 3G

Hello. Im not sure whether this question belongs here in the iphone forum or the iTunes forum, but here it goes. I have a car stereo with USB port that I plug my iphone into to play my music when Im in the car. When I plug it in, it automatically starts playing music. I believe it starts playing all the songs in alphabetical order by name which means Im automatically stopping it and choosing the music I want. Is there a way to change this option to have better control over what music it starts up with? Or none at all? It just goes right into playing the As and right on down the line.
