Please Help-How I Permanently Save iPhone Messages to Mac

Hello,      I currently have an iPhone 4s 16 GB and am quickly running out of storage space.  I only have about 700 MB of space remaining and my "Other" category is taking up 6.27 GB of space!  I believe that most of this is because of my text messages; I have never deleted any of them and I'm in a group message that easily accumulates over 150 texts per day, so I need space, and fast!!!  I have read about several programs and am definitely willing to buy one, but I would like first-hand information about these programs.  I'm looking for a program that will save my SMS, MMS, and iMessage text messages to my MackBook so that I can delete them from my iPhone.  I would need a program that will save the messages permanently.  I want to be able to save the messages to the program, delete them from my phone, connect my phone to the program at later dates and save additional messages, and not lose any messages at all.  I don't want an app that I can only save messages to once because if I try to save more, it gets rid of the old ones and only saves the new ones.  I'm not sure how any of the programs work as far as that goes, so if anyone could reccommend a program to me that would do what I'm looking for, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thank you in advance for the help!!!

hey i bought this second hand phone from a friend and this phone is locked by a korean carrier KT free tel, its currently running on IOS 4.1.so now i am thinking to use this phone on this IOS 4.1. but when i am downloading the apps from Itunes. it says a higher version of IOS is reqiuerd.so is it that applications for IOS 4.1 is no longer available on Itunes?????

How to use iMessage for specific contacts iPhone 5

I'm thinking this is impossible, but I thought I'd post and see if I could get an answer. I am running short on data and have unlimited texts and therefore I turned iMessage off because I don't have access to WiFi anywhere. But I found out that it's the only way that I can contact some friends that are out of the country. Is there a way that I can enable iMessage only for those people and leave it disabled for everyone else? I've looked through the forums and searched for the answer, but I can't even find someone who has the same problem as me. Any help would be appreciated.

My iphone stops syncing at steps 3 of 6

Apple recently replaced my broken iPhone 4s with a new one. Everything was great, the backup on my computer worked and I had all mystuff from the day before it was replaced. However, when i plugged it in to add a few new songs, they didn't sync. In fact, my itunes never finshes a sync anymore, it just stops here for no reason. Any suggestions?

Whenever I try to sync my iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of this iPhone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iPhone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled iTunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? My girlfriend recently broke her iPhone 4 and had to get a new phone -- ever since she got a new phone, my iPhone 4S is missing hundreds of texts from her.  The last text my phone shows from her is from over two months ago.  At first I thought that only the iMessages were missing, but we have exchanged hundreds of SMS and iMessages in the last few months and they are all missing.  After she broke her phone there were a few days she texted me via iMessages on her iMac -- and those texts are all missing too, iMessages on her computer is also totally messed up.  I can understand why she would be missing a few messages on her new phone since she hasn't backed her phone up in a few weeks, and using iMessages between multiple devices is still glitchty -- but why did my girlfriend getting a new phone cause hundreds of texts to be deleted off of my phone? Currently running iOS 4.1.2 on iPhone 4S

iTunes 11 deleted recent contacts and photos iPhone 5

I recently got an iPhone 5. Downloaded iTunes 11 and tried to sync my new phone. Once done I looked at my phone to find that all new contacts since October 2012 had been deleted along with any texts I had received and all the photos I had taken on my new phone. Instead I now have all my old photos and apps from my old phone. But nothing newer than October 2012. How can I get the new stuff back on my phone?

I bought a Belkin Charge + sync Dock for my iPhone 5 (the one that includes the cable) in February. It was a flimsy, crappy device from the start, but I figured I might as well use it.Four months have passed and now the lightning port on my iPhone 5 has started to deteriorate very quickly and noticibly. I would only charge my phone with the dock and I wouldn't use the lightning cable that came with my phone or any other cord for that matter. I went on a trip so I took my lightning cable with me and it would only charge at an odd angle. I also noticed the plug was very loose inside the port. This became true with the dock as well. The dock was flimsy and wobbly at the start and now would only charge at a very odd angle too. Any cord I use barely works, and my phone does not charge at night anymore. I know it is not a problem with my cords, because I tried my friend's cords and they also did not work. I know the dock ruined my port because that was the only thing I charged with for four months.Who should I go to for help? Should I call Belkin and ask for a return? Would my Apple 1-year limited warranty (I do not have AppleCare) cover a new phone?

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iPhone

I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

I have noticed that my phone has started to become slow and lagging. I make sure i kill all apps that are running when i am not using them. Connected to Wifi when i can and everything else that i can tell is normal. Just need more advice on what to do. I do not want to hard reset the phone. already had problems with Itunes before and don't want to try to figure everything out again. Thanks

Iphone 4S Wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my WIFI slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my Wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a WIFI-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole Iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting Iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your WIFI. The Iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.

vodafone issues iPhone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Hi everyone, I have an interesting situation going on here.  Today, I had my iPhone replaced due to an issue at the Apple store in Las Vegas. I have an iPad in addition to my iPhone. Prior to the replacement, my iPad and iPhone were fully synced in iMessage. Now, however, after setting this up again, I have lost all of my messages on my iPhone. They are still, however, in my iPad. How can I get them to sync back with my iPhone? I also had my iPhone replaced once before, and I believe it synced right back and I didn't have this problem then (although I didn't have the iPad with me at the time, so that is weird); I don't remember how I did it though.  Hoping to get some help with this, thanks in advance!

(specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" :  it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media"  --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set sync ON under the iphone  "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big sync button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. I have been having trouble with my iPhone - sudden decrease in battery life, apps not working, Wifi not working, iCloud not working (don't ask me why, but when I go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and back up, the toggle is off and greyed out, giving me no option to turn it on). I was advised to back the iPhone up on my mac, reset the iPhone to factory settings and then restore it from the Mac.  So, all my apps have come over, but none of my contacts, SMS's, nothing. I can probably live without the SMS's but it will take me a long time to re-enter all my contacts.  However, they are all still in the Mac.  But I can't work out how to get the Mac to send the addresses back to the iPhone.   As previously stated, the iCloud doesn't work, so I can't use that.  I looked through previous entries and the advice was: Open iTunes. Connect the iPhone. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Info tab in the main window. Check the Contacts box then sync. However, when I do this it say in contacts "your contacts are being synched with your iPhone over the air, over-the-air sync settings can be changed on the iPhone" But I don't want them synched over the air, because over the air (I assume this is iCloud) isn't working.  How do I set it (either iTunes or the iPhone) so that it synches, via USB cable, with the contacts on my Mac? I am totally, utterly confused and a bit cross as I am now worse off then before I reset the phone and was told that it would just back up from the computer.  And even more annoyed when I know the data I want is all still there (on the Mac in address book), I just can't drag it across.

Using OSX 10.8.4 on a Mac mini late 2012 model, trying to sync Calender on mac to calender on my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4 No matter how many youtube videos I watch or how many threads I read, my iphone calender will not sync with the calender on my mac. Any ideas?I have both my mac and iphone setup in icloud settings just as described in every video. The iPhone 4 may not have a fast enough processor for your game, or may have too many apps running.  Try double clicking hte home button, touch and hold an app along the bottom edge until they all start to shake and a red circle with a minus sign appers on the corner of each.  Touch each red circle to dismiss all of those apps.  Then do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts.  Ignore the red slider if that appears. Now try starting your game again and see if it works better.

At home I have two Macs, one for work and another which acts as a sort of entertainment hub storing all my music, podcasts and videos as well as being for the family to use. Is it possible to sync my one iPhone to both Macs, with the work one just syncing things like my contacts, emails, calendars and apps while the other Mac would sync just the podcasts and music to the iPhone.Would this cause any problems and what is the correct way to go about this? Thanks for any help, tips and advice.

If all issues remains then you should try a back up to icloud. iPhone turning off rebooting while charging iPhone 4S

Hi everyone. I actually have a few issues with my iPhone and I have tried various things to fix these problems. Yes, I have connected to iTunes through my computer and have download and restored it twice in as many days. Ok, the first one is the touch screen is unresponsive and/or behaves erratically, like it has to think about what it has to do. Secondly, when it is connected to my computer or either one of my chargers, the phone keeps shutting down and rebooting about 15 or so minutes, and the battery percentage level meter doesn't change either. All this started happening at the same time. I was running a battery boost type app which I have since deleted but still no luck, so am I guessing right if its all battery related? Any help, thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated as like many others here, our phones are our life.

I have a new MacBook Air and am trying to add songs from it (iTunes 11.0.1) to iPhone4S. However, drag & drop does nothing, which is what I had done on my PC to add songs previously.     Note: I specifically don't want to sync my songs/libraries.  I just want to add the new stuff I uploaed to MacBook Air iTunes to my iPhone4S. Any thoughts/help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Help need to something iPhone 4S

After synching 4S with iTunes by plugging into PC has been nothing but problems.  Phone charge drops quick, like something is running.  I can not find anything.  No time registers on standby and usage. just lines there.Deleted entire email and reinstalled.  Siri off, notifications off, privacy & locations off.Some strange stuff comes up under diagnostics...not sure if suppose to have all those? Should this diagnostics be reported or off? Can not power phone off, it automatically kicks itself back on, so can not do hard start.  Did a complete restore/recovery on it.  Nothing seems to be helping.I will take any suggestions!  No Apple stores near us, so need to try to resolve over this!

iPhone 5 won't sync music from computer or from purchased on iTunes store on phone. But shows grayed songs when clicked on summary.

I bought a iPhone 5 a week ago, I first was able to put my purchased items from the iTunes store directly to my phone. I tried to sync my phone to my computer and it put stuff from my old iPhone to the new one. So i restore it and get it back to the factory settings that it was on, but when I tried to put music on it after I restored it back to the way it was, it won't let me put music on it. I later on clicked on my iPhone and on the "on this iPhone" tab, it says that I have the songs that I have been trying to put on it, on it. But the songs are grayed out..  SO WHAT DO I DO?

iPhone 4s will not connect to charger

My iPhone 4s will not connect to any charger I've tried in the last two days EXCEPT my Sony dock at home, but then only after 3 or 4 tries to get it to connect. I have multiple iPhone charging cables, and I've tried them all.  I've tried them plugged into the wall and my MacBook. I can't get any of them to connect. At this point I can't even sync or backup to iTunes because the device is not recognized. Any suggestions? 

Will Apple warranty become void for battery issues if physical damage to phone iPhone 5

Hi, I purchased my iphone 5 in April 2013. I have dropped it down twice since and each time there have been slight damages to the phone. There is a visible dent at bottom right corner (happened 1.5 months ago) and the display is slightly chipped on the top left near the volume control buttons (happened 15 days ago).  Im now having issues with my battery and need to take it to an apple store. If incase there is a major problem and there needs to be a repalcement would Apple refuse to do the same because of the physical damages to my phone? My battery was excellent until now. I usually can manage for 24 hrs without recharge under normal usage (wi-fi on. whatsapp frequently. a couple of hrs over the phone). I havent had any major issues with my battery until a couple days ago. When i leave my phone at !00% charge without any apps running in the background, through the night (8 hrs) the battery drops down to 56%. Normally i wake up to a 95% - 92% battery.  As far as i can remember this has been my recent activity.  * I updated my software (6.1.4) a week ago without any issues with the battery. * I downloaded facebook Messenger and updated Genius Scan. Both have been deleted now, since i doubted these to be the possible culprits.* I have even deleted Facebook.* I have tried Force shut down. Switched off my my phone multiple times. have kept it off for about 15 minutes after power off. * Location services have been disabled for all apps except Google maps.* Notifications mostly banners and sounds diabled for almost all functions. I cannot seem to figure out why my phone is suddenly acting funny! My iphone 5 is losing connection with bluetooth in 2013 ford f-150 sync system.  It is then necessary to reset the truck radio and add phone again before bluetooth works.  It usually will work for a couple days before losing connectivity.  Ford dealership says it it is a bug in the phone ??

Facebook Contact sync Problem iPhone 3G

Hi, I never had the problem of syncing my Facebook contacts with my iPhone 5 and iPad 2 but recently I turned off my Facebook contact sync on my iphone 5 at Settings>Facebook>Contacts and turned it on later, and immediately I noticed only 41 out of 817 Facebook contacts were synced with my iPhone and I lost all the merge with my existing phone contacts. I tried this on my brother's iPhone 5 and hitted the same problem, he has 747 Facebook contacts synced to his device prior to turning off the sync, and after turning off the sync and turning it on later, only 75 out of 747 contacts were synced to his iPhone 5. I did not dare to further try this on my iPad 2 as I scare it will screw up the contacts I linked on my iPad.  Looks like there is a problem with Facebook contact sync on iOS. Has anyone encountered this problem?

I cant sync already HELP iPhone 3G

Recently this week, i cant sync anything from my itunes 11 to my iphone 4:( I dont know why..Even my music, the apps, i cant find them in my iphone even though itunes told me it was done syncing..PLS HELP </3

iPhone 4S dock port corrosion for second time in one year.

Despite never coming into contact with water (I use an otterbox with the silicone flap to protect the docking port), my iPhone has been rendered unusable once and is currently stuck thinking it's docked.  Apple refused to help me the first time, due to their policy about water damaged hardware, so I went to a licensed repair center to have it replaced (could have done it myself, but they wouldn't just sell me the part). To be clear, my iPhone never (I repeat NEVER) enters the bathroom while the shower is running and not until the moisture has disipated, and I never charge it near an open window.  I do, however, live only a few hundred yards from the ocean.  For obvious reasons, you can see what my suspicion is. This is less of a support issue, and more of a plead for help from anyone that knows who at Apple I can talk to about this, and more importantly that they are made aware of the fact that their docking hardware is clearly sub-par (as no other device I have EVER had while living here has suffered from this issue).

unknown error 0xE000004 iPhone 3G

I recently purchased and downloaded Yesterday as well as Injustice and have not been able to install either app due to an "unknown error occurred (0xE000004)". I've downloaded both apps, and they're in my library, however, when I try to sinc my ipad 4, running IOS 6.1.3, I get an error message advising "The app was not installed on the ipad because an unknown error occurred (0xE000004).I have since downloaded Topia World Builder and it synced/installed fine. I have trid reseting my ipad, tried to unistall and reinstall the app, have updated to the latest itunes 11.0.3.02, have tried restoring my PC to a month or so ago when I didn't have these issues, but I keep getting this error message? Anyone know how to fix this? I've never had any issues like this before and I've had iphones, ipods and ipads for years?

iphone locked becuase of wrong passcode ideas to restore it iPhone 5

hi folks! i need help. badly.. i've bought my iphone5 a couple of days ago and now i cannot unlock it because of the passcode. i havent done the icloud backup and itunes sync either. i'm trying to restore the device but it doesnt work. I'm turning it off and then connecting to itunes, it says connect to itunes but at the end does not do the restoration. any advice please??? thanks!

Problem with app store iPhone 3G

I have an iphone 5 and i've been having problems with the app store.When i click to buy or download something the square appears in green but nothing happens... I alredy turn off mi phone and it's still the same!And even when i try to update old apps and i press the square, it doesn't work or respond or anythingI also tried in the computer but when i try to sync it, everything goes right except for the apps Please help me!!
