URGENT HELP iPhone 4S

Last night i went on my phone to make a phone call but all my contacts were somehow deleted i tried turning off my iphone and then turning it on but still had the same problem. I dont know what to do i had icloud but never used the backup for it infact i had not signed in to it till the next day. I somehow managed to get a few of my contacts back through my messages. There were many important numbers in there. To top it off the most important thing to me was all my information on my calender list like my appointments, and many other important events. I do not know hot to retreive it if anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

Sms new compose sms already have text in it iPhone 5

Iphone 5 / factory unlocked / USA purchase..  Whenever i compose a new message (SMS), i already have a text (one of the previous sms that i hv sent to someone) there in the message box. I have tried resending the same to myself and other numbers and it gets delivered aswell. But what is annoying is everytime i have to compose a new message and click on icon on top right corner in message app to create a new sms// i have the text alrdy in my typing box and have to select all and delete it.  And when i click on any previous conversations with my contacts and reply them this problem does not exist. This is only when i click new message compose icon or have to start a new conversation with someone. To me it seems as if some kinda signature is added in SMS but i couldnt find any option for the same. Please advice !!

HELP PLEASE! A purchased a iphone 4 GSM model. I have been trying to restore it (being the screen said to connect to itunes) but when I went through the restore process, itunes recongnized it, it went through what appeared as all but the last second of restoring when I got a " The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (-1)". I have a copy of the Updater log if there is something particular I need to look for, please throw me some bones. lol. Ever since I updated my iphone 4 (GSM) to ios 6.1.3 i have been unable to 'text' people in my contact list. - I can only text new numbers that aren't in my contact list? (Even if i try and type my friends number, instead of selecting their name, i am still unable to text them - it comes up with ERROR) I can only send imessages, successfully, to people in my contacts list. Please HELP!  Thanks in advance.

iphone 4S wifi button grayed out

Hi, I have an iPhone 4S with wifi button grayed out similar to the case here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559andhttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/4638071?start=0&tstart=0 I already performed a network reset, reset to factory setting and updated eveything via itunes. I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

I was at an electronics store yesterday enquiring about the problem I have viewing a golf coaching app I downloaded to my iPhone 4 which I can't see when I connect the phone to our smart tv by HDMI cable and the sales bloke recommended a box that you plug in between the phone and the tv and it converts what you want to play into a compatible format so it can be played. Because the price was $99, I didn't pay full attention to what it was called, but I subsequently realised I might be able to get one cheap on the net. Does anyone know what these boxes are called?

iPhone 4s Software Update fail from 5.1.1 to 6.1.3

Hey everyone I have been holding back from updating my iOS on my iphone 4s (I know - not a smart move) I am currently still on 5.1.1 and trying to update to 6.1.3 (finally) from the phone itself (not via iTunes) I am trying to downlaod and install the update using Wi-Fi connectivity, but it just wouldn't let me? Kept saying An Error occured while downloading... It didn't give me any error code or any other explanation. It just simply won't update  I know it was silly of me to begin with for not updating for so long, but I don't understand why my phone is rejecting the update? If this is even what is happening..  Also I sent my iMac for repair recently, came back with a Lion (which was what I had on there previously anyway) but it wasn't updated? So I couldn't just open iTunes and restore all my contacts..  AND I am still currently in the process of downloading the updates - but something always happens as well, an error occured that I have to re-download the update, internet drops on and off, etc.  -- The reason I wanted to update was (this is a whole separate problem) my 4s kept crashing the apps, not doing anything out of ordinary - it just crashes everytime i start or a open an app. So I would hard reset my phone (turning it off and on again) and then I would find all my contacts gone. No other entries are gone, just my contact names! All messages and calendar entries are all still there - just no contact names in my address book. ***? After sleuthing here and there, and found no real solution to this problem. I decided to update my iOS because one of the discussion thread I found told me to try that. Heck, why not.  SO I tried uploading and this is where I end up..    Does ANYONE have any idea what the **** is going on? Does anyone else out tehre have the same problem? Surely this is not just me!!

Update All Apps magically tapped itself-No way to cancel iPhone 3G

iOS 6.1.3 - iPhone5 - I was scrolling through the list of updates in my App Store - there were about 60 app updates listed to be exact - somehow the phone thinks I clicked "Update All" - when in fact I don't think my finger went anywhere near that button. This has happened to me twice! And there is no way to abort it!  Now I am forced to update all 60 apps, even though I swear I never even went near the button. There needs to be some kind of confirmation dialog box before the phone starts doing the Update All process - I don't want my phone to be downloading 60 app updates when it wasn't requested in the first place!

i lost my iphone , but i'm keeping track of it on find my iphone.lately i purchesed a new device and connected it to the same Apple ID i was using on my lost phone.i don't want the theif to access my account nor be able to purchase or update through it. yet i need to keep it on find my iphone list. PS: i changed the password of the my apple ID today. my question:is it possible to remove the phone fromthe association list but keep it on find my ipohne list in the same time? Thanks guys

iphone plugged in to ac adapter and still no life in iPhone . iPhone 5

I went to bed with iphone charge at 40%. I woke up during night to see what time it was and picked iphone up and it was dead.No life...dead as dead is going to get.  I plugged it in with charger still not responding..Tried another cable and charger module....Still dead after being plugged in for 15 minutes. This phone is only 2 months old. I am an IT manager and i have deployed these to fellow workers and my entire family.This is my 3rd iphone 5.. All of mine were returned because of defects and failures., Others in my family and workforce have had problems also.I have had every iphone model ever issued and never with any of them had problems.Iphone 5 is just not good. I always drain it to below 15-20% and let charge to 100%.  This time could it be a defective battery?

Shoutcast Music App iPhone 3G

Hello, I have previously used Shoutcast radio player on Android and I liked the fact that it showed the name of the song playing.  I downloaded Shoutcast for my Iphone and that feature has been removed it seems.  So my question is this:  Is there a preferabley free music app that will allow me to search for my genre of music and play that station and list names of songs? My generes of music are Metallica Stations and Soundtrack Stations.  That's what I like to listen to mostly. So is there any app out there or am I stuck with Shoutcast until they update the app?   Thank you for your assistance

quick scroll function iPhone 3G

I'm trying to get to the bottom of a playlist, is there a quick scroll function or a way to quickly get to the bottom or top of a list?  This would also be helpful outside of "Music".  I downloaded the "End of Page" App, but my understanding is that this can only be used within Safari... is this correct?

other over load capacity iPhone 3G

I saw the "other" on my phone creeping up and taking up 75% of the space on my phone. I did a factory restore thinking that would help but then when it restored it said it was over capacity and that was prior to it having any photos, apps, music--anything... the entire summary bar is "other" with no capacity. I am assuming the os6 update took the entire space of my phone Please help, this can't be true... is there anyway to get rid of the os update so I can have my smart phone back? as is all i have is a phone that can't do anything because there is no capacity.  I have been apple since my first computer 19 years ago but the last year or so have tested my patience.... please tell me what I can do to get rid of the new os 6 update so I can have my phone back... extremely frustrated...cj

Reminders app no longer works. iPhone 3G

I am new to iPhone but have used this built-in app before with no problems. Now the + button has disappeared from top RH corner and I therefore cannot create any reminders. Can choose any day from the 7 day calendar showing at bottom of screen but still cannot enter any text on any day.  Can select list view but cannot do anything there either (only 'Done' to return to main screen).  I know that I cannot delete this built-in app but how do I 'refresh'  it so that it can be used?  Must I reset apps to their original locations?  Thanks.

How to get similar application to Sync.me iPhone 3G

Hello guys, I am a user of Iphone 4s. I have had a problem with the application called 'Sync.me' for some time. The application is not working. It keeps saying the problem would be solved soon, however nothing has improved so far. I can't sync the people in my list with their pictures and other detailed info. of them. Do you have any suggestion? thanx

Facebook app disappeared and cannot retrieve iPhone 3G

I have an iPhone 4S, about a year now.  Yesterday I downloaded a Facebook update and went to sleep.  Wake up in morning and Facebook app is missing from phone.  It was on my front page, next to a blank spot, and now there are two blank spots in the bottom right of my front page.  Here is what I have tried: -Resetting phone (home+on/off button).  Reset 3-4 times, nothing.-Reinstalling app.  Looked up Facebook app in app store, and shows as being installed.  So there is an "Open" button where there would be an "Install" button if I did not yet have the app.  I click the "Open" button and it does nothing, like it's a dead button.-Searching for Facebook.  On the iOs "Search iPhone" bubble (swipe right on home screen) I search for Facebook.  Nothing shows up but contacts.-Synching on iTunes.  App doesn't show up on list, tried a synch, reset phone, nothing worked. I have 111 apps installed across 7 pages (with a few blank spots scattered across).  I do not and never had "Restrictions" enabled.  I have not changed any other settings anytime recently.  I have 4 gigs of free space on my phone. Any guidance here would be appreciated...thanks!

Recently notes in the iPhone Notes app disappear. I still have 63 notes in the list, but when I edit one, it will disappear after awhile.  I can find these notes, with the editing, in my email app in the Notes folder.   Why do they disappear from my phone?

When i deleted my friends old number, i deleted her contact all together and created a new contact with her new number. Now when i go to create a text when i type in her name it brings up both numbers and i cant seem to permanently delete the old number from that list. But when i check contacts there is only one number there which is her new one i saved.

Hardware problem on iphone 4s

I have brought Iphone 4s at California before 6 months ... I am facing power key is not functioning from last week and I am in Nepal right now. What shall I do?? I have handeled my iphone carefully and I haven't dropped it yet still facing problem means is there any question on durability of it? I dought and I am sure I should have gone for similar range smart phone I wouldn't have faced problem yet. Hi guys!, first of all, sry for my english.I bought one month ago an iphone 5 in UK, and when i come back to Argentina (I'm from Buenos Aires) my iphone starts rebooting all time. When i check the Diagnostic in the iphone, i saw the panic.list error.I found on internet that this error only can be solved going to an Apple Store and changing it for a new one.The problem is that we don't have oficial support here, and Apple Care don't work on iphones.Now i have to connect the iphone to itunes because i can't turn it on, and the itunes give me a lot of errors... have pass 2 days and i cannot put it on. Can someone help me? Having troubles with the iPhone 4 and (re)pairing a Motorola H3 bluetooth headset. These two worked beautifully just last week in 2010.Bluetooth on phone working fine with another headset, so next step:1. Select Motorola H3 in Bluetooth menu2. Forget this DeviceThen, power-down the Motorola H3, and turn on while holding the phone button down until the led is continuously lit (pairing mode)The Motorola H3 appears in the Bluetooth Devices list with the status "Not Paired" and when selecting - produces the error:Connection UnsuccessfulMake sure "Motorola H3" is turned on and in rangeWhat's missing is the pairing passcode entry - weird! Thought it may be related to leftover data, so reset the iPhone (home button and power button) to clear the memory and remove any residue.Did not solve.

iTunes Movie Trailers App won t show Arclight Cinemas iPhone 3G

Hey, For some reason when I opened my iTunes Movie Trailers App today, none of the Arclight Cinemas in LA are listed (they used to be).  They're not on the theatre map and none of the showtimes appear.  Did something happen?  Is this just a short term glitch (i.e. they forgot to report their showtimes)?  did Arclight purposely request to be removed from the app?  Or is the app just being stupid? Is anyone else noticing this issue?   I also checked the website, http://trailers.apple.com, and they aren't listed on there either, so I'm wondering if it's a company policy thing...   P.S. I wanted to list this under a "iTunes Movie Trailers App" location but couldn't find any such thing in the support communities.  Did I miss it?

Iphone 4s not working after ios update 6.1.3

I have an iphone 4s boxed, brandnew and unopened for a year not until March 2013, for a couple of days i have used it, worked excellent but after i have unlocked it through at&amp;t and updated it to IOS 6.1.3 it went to re-activation mode again. Tried several times to activate it but no succeess. I went to an apple store to discuss the problem of the update and consequently the result it brought to my iphone4s but denied a replacement because it was passed the warranty period. I was offered a replacement (for a fee) of $200 but i refused since i believe i havent enjoyed the iphone for years, has not even dropped, water-damaged nor scratched. The manager on duty (Mary, Fairview Mall, Ontario) insisted that my iphone 4s has a growing software problem already and i just dont know of... I reiterated to her that the unit was working as brandnew just like many of my apple products i have.  I havent called the apple support telephone support though. What should i do now? Please help guys. I cannot take it paying another $200 for an iphone that was practically brandnew and went useless after the update. I have a record of the at&amp;t authorized unlocking request.  Should i escalate the appeal to where? Please help.. Thanks a lot guys.

Whenever I received SMS or What's app with a new contact number, I do a save on it to the contact list. However it does not appear in the contact list. I have to type the new contact info manually then it appear in the contact list. Anybody face this problem & any idea how to solve it. Thanks you.

My iphone wont connect to itunes and my computer isnt recognising it.it comes up with an error msg saying.... Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52) what can i do to fix this?

I have an iPhone 5 notes bug. When I click on notes I can write a note okay but when I click note (top left) after I've finished writing it, it just reverts back to my home screen and I can't see my list of previously saved notes :( please help. I just downloaded the new soft and he didn't fix it.

Description:Some of my friends, that are already in mine contact list, in FB have different names.So after synchronization of contacts with FB I got two contact entries for one person. Ok. I linked them together to get one united contact.And then choose to use for this united contact name from contact which was in my contact list before sync.And that's all ok until next synchronization of contacts with FB, wich forces contact list to use name of "FB part" of united contact,instead of choosen by me name of "phone contact list part". So we see, that synchronization with FB dosn't looks at user setting which name to use.Any suggestions?p.s. ok, I understand, that I can turn off the sync, but it seems to me, that correcting of the error would be better....

Suddenly can't sync songs from iTunes to iPhone other help topics suggestions not helping me

Everytime I try to sync any of my songs onto my iPhone 4, I get an error message that says: "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "(song name)", were not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because they could not be found." and then it stops syncing. It says there are 13 problems. Then when you expand to see the files, each one says: "(song name)"" was not copied to the iPhone "iPhone Name" because it could not be found." It can be any song, an old song from 7 years ago that I got off Limewire, or a song from a CD, or it can be a song I paid for from the iTunes store. Doesn't matter. Couple weeks ago, I had no problems. Purchased new songs and had them in playlists on my phone. Then a couple days ago, I plugged my iPhone into the computer (to charge it), and suddenly my songs were removed off the iPhone. So I tried to put them back on, kept getting this error. So I googled it. I have spent the past 4 days TRYING to get things to work. I have looked through all the other similar questions, and tried suggestions on there. Nothing is working. - There is no exclamation point beside any of my music.- I have not changed the hard drives (I don't use my computer daily, probably once a week), (Windows is up to date also).- I have tried re-adding the songs to the library.- Everything still plays in iTunes.- If I click on the file in its location, it will open it and play it in iTunes. - I tried deauthorizing my account then reauthorizing it, didnt work.- I have even removed all my music off my phone to see if that works, now I have 15 songs on it. I did find it odd that when I looked in my purchased playlist, they were not there, but they are on the computer and on the purchased list (under the iTunes store on the side menu). At least I can use my iPod for when I'm in the car, but now I have to carry that around too, I'm getting quite frustrated. Normally I'm quite computer savvy, but I'm totally stuck on this one. And like most people, I rely on my iPhone WAY to much and let the little things affect my daily life. I hope SOMEONE can please help me?!? (I don't know if it may even have to do with the fact that yesterday I finally got my iPhone updated to the latest IOS, (cuz I was finally able to download the update from iTunes... Unless that was a separate update) the one where it's like "do you want to cancel, download only, download and install").

My iPhone 5 won't restore from backup

I just got the 5 today, and now I'm trying to restore from backup of my 4S. When it first popped up I clicked restore from back up of my previous iPhone, but it told me that the other phone (4S) software or firmware was too old for a backup and set up as a new iPhone and restore, but I had just updated about two weeks ago. That is the first problem. The second problem is when I went into the restore backup all it pulled up on the list was my iPod. I am confused. Can anyone help me? Additional info: I am as of right now updating the 5 to see if that was the problem, but I will comment back if this was the problem or not.

Is it just me, or has iTunes become just completely unusable on all platforms over the last year or so? I have a CS degree, work in Silicon Valley, and am nearing the end of my second-generation as an all-Apple household. If it takes me over half an hour to figure out how to download (and list) podcasts onto my iPhone, there's a major usability problem beyond my lack of savvy. In exchange for paying 2x for all my products ... I expect them to work! If we want sh*tty and unusable, we all know where to find that option. (And as I write this, iTunes, idle in the background, suddenly shoots up to eat 100% of both CPU cores.)
