International texting charges iPhone
My friend is on a class trip to Germany. He has been texting me on his ipod, through wifi, with a texting app called text free. I have an iPhone with unlimited texting. We have not been texting through iMessage, just SMS, but he is sending them from his ipod. Will I be charged gobs of money for "international texting" or is it part of my data plan since he is using wifi? HELP!
My sister and myself are getting each others text messages. Help Hard Question iPhone
This whole problem started when I first got my Iphone 5 around christmas time of last year. And i did the normal activation of my new Iphone and syncing my old iphone 4 with this new phone. I synced everything and it was all good, but i started to get these random text from people in my message log. I soon found out that i was recieving every text that was sent to my sister. And if i replied to someone who was texting my sister it would show up like she texted them, not me on a seperate number. Also when i text my sister she would get the text but immidiatly after i sent her it, i would also get a text from myself saying what i sent her. I will literally get a text message from my own number to myself, (Weird ****). So its like my sisters text messaging is fused with mine. Its only messages though, no images or anything else. In the beginging i didnt care about this becasue she wasnt recieving my text i was only getting hers. But now just today she tells me she is getting my text too. And thats a problem! This problem lasted all the way up to about 2 months ago and then i stopped getting her messages. But i gave one of my friends my old iphone 4 and once they activated it for there own use it started to happen again. They use a seperate plan then i do and there number on the phone is different. Before i gave them the phone i wiped everything off of it. i took off the contacts, messages, everything. They use a different apple account and icloud account now on the phone. So idk why it started up again i need help. Here is some background. My whole family shares the same apple account with everything. We have seperate phones, numbers and data for the most part. But with dealing with Icloud and itunes anything like that, we use the same account. My sister uses a Iphone 4s btw. With my old Iphone 4 i had no probelms with this, everything was normal. But once i switched to the new iphone 5 this problem has occured. Idk what this is about, i havent heard anyone else with this problem, but i need help! btw my other family members on their phones do not have this problem. So i think it has to do something with the icloud but im not sure! This is a serious problem and i need help! Goodluck!

I have a friend who switched from an iPhone to a GalaxyS4, so they don't get my iMessages anymore, and it won’t convert them to text message. We have delete the contact and added him as it was new and still it wants to set messages as an iMessage. We have even put the number in as mobile and not iPhone. Can anyone help, this is for my job and I need to be able to communicate with him.
I want to start over iPhone
So I got my iPhone 5 around Christmas time, and I feel as though I need to start fresh. I want everything to be as good as new. I am absolutely getting frusturated with iCloud right about now. I already put all my pictures on my computer (not connected to iCloud), and my contacts are in a vCard folder on my desktop. I don't have music on my iPhone, and my apps I'd like to keep. How do I back up my iPhone to ONLY my computer... When I tried deleting my iCloud account, it deleted everything (including the contacts that I backed up to ONLY my computer). Long story short... I hate iCloudI want my phone good as newI want my appsI want my contactsI want my text messages if possible.I don't mind resigning into all my email accounts and app accounts. When I do have my iPhone good as new as when I got it, then I will later on ask a question on how iCloud specifically works... with such a tight schedule like mine, it is hard to go to the genius bar and ask all of these questions... My girlfriend recently broke her iPhone 4 and had to get a new phone -- ever since she got a new phone, my iPhone 4S is missing hundreds of texts from her. The last text my phone shows from her is from over two months ago. At first I thought that only the iMessages were missing, but we have exchanged hundreds of SMS and iMessages in the last few months and they are all missing. After she broke her phone there were a few days she texted me via iMessages on her iMac -- and those texts are all missing too, iMessages on her computer is also totally messed up. I can understand why she would be missing a few messages on her new phone since she hasn't backed her phone up in a few weeks, and using iMessages between multiple devices is still glitchty -- but why did my girlfriend getting a new phone cause hundreds of texts to be deleted off of my phone? Currently running iOS 4.1.2 on iPhone 4S

Character count not work for all contacts anymore. iPhone
I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1.3 with character count enabled and on the Sprint network. Recently character count stopped working when texting at least one of my contacts that i know for sure. I haven't gone through to see how many other contacts have the same issue, but i know it still works for some other contacts. Why would character count show for some of my contacts but not others? And what would cause it to stop working when it showed the number of characters before?I have found the problem exists regardless of if it's an SMS text or iMessage. And there is only one contact at a time that is the recipient; it is not an MMS. Is it possible that there actually is more than one recipient that i'm not aware of or is there another reason why character count would stop working only for certain contacts all of a sudden?

Hopefully someone here can help me... My iCloud always shows my backup as being 4.8GB, even with EVERYTHING turned off. After downloading iOS 7 I figured out the problem: I have 4.8 GB of "Messages (Saved)". This is even after deleting ALL my messages. I'm not sure what this could be. I tried PhoneCleaner, i FunBox, and everything else I can find, but I can't find a way to access or view these messages to delete them. Could someone help me? I can't back anything up to iCloud with it like this.Note: this was happening even before i upgraded to iOS 7.
I am planning on buying an unlocked iPhone 5 with T-Mobile Nano S . I have few questions.
I was planning on buying a 32GB unlocked iPhone 5 with the T-Mobile Nano Sim. I was going to activate the Sim with T-Mobile's prepaid $30 unltd text/data with 100 minutes plan. I've read some stories online where people were only able to use the Sim with T-Mobile's post-paid plans. Will the Sim that comes included work with prepaid and post-paid plans? Also, assuming that it does work with prepaid, what steps would I need to go through to activate the iPhone? Assuming that it doesn't, would cutting down a prepaid Micro Sim from T-Mobile to Nano Sim size work normally? Thank you in advance!
iphone 4s internet not working
iphone 4s internet not working. my phone have singnal while using. on the left top corner have the display of "4G" and i can text or phone to someone. but i can't use my internet. it is all fine since this morning. when i tried a web page, it goes slower than before. after 1 hour, the internet totaly can't be used.my wifi part couldn't be used either. but it began at december 2012. and i don't usually use the wifi. so i didn't pay attention to it. wifi part is sometime good sometime bad. mostly after i restar it, the wifi can be used for 1 or 2 muniutes. i was not sure whether or not is the problem of att. but other members of my family plan are all fine at internet.which part of phone would be the problem? especially for the hard ware parts. i think there would be some problems in hardware. i always drop my phone unintentionally.

vodafone issues iPhone 4S
Hi all, i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" : it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media" --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "Sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. What can I iPhone 4
I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iPhone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results. it possible to transfer text threads from my 4G to my Iphone 5
I got an Iphone 5 and would like to transfer my text threads to the new phone before deleting everything on the old one. Is this possible. All other data, pictures, etc have been saved and transferred but I haven't found how to transfer text message threads. Thanks!
My notification center won t show anything iPhone
My Notification Center isn't showing anything. When my phone is locked, it doesn't show when I get a text. Only when I open my phone do I see that I have multiple texts, but it never vibrated for them. I went to my settings, and went under Notification Center, and it just shows the little "loading" symbol, but it won't open up the settings. When I swipe down my Notification Center, it only says "No New Notifications". I can't figure out why it's doing this. Could it be because I don't have good signal or something? I can't turn my phone off and back on because for some reason my button won't work. Someone please help!

Hey, there: I have my phone set to back-up to icloud. I assume when it says "screen locked," that means the little toggle on the upper left. In any case, when I am in iTunes, I find my "libraries" file or whatever has all my voice messages. But where are the text messages? I want to both back them up and make hard copies, as I use them for things that need a record. I am of course being clueless. Thanks. Kenneth
iphone 5 doesnt accept ID password facetime and imessage not working
Im not sure if its to do with the new update 6.1.4 but my imessage suddenly stopped working. I checked my settings and saw that my email addresses associated with it were deleted. I would do hard resets but it wouldnt solve the problem. Then imessage was only partially working, sending imessages to certain individuals and text messages to the others. When i would try to add my email it would say that my password or ID is incorrect. I was thinking, no this could not be. I signed in and out of Itunes with no problem. I even signed on appleid.com and it worked. I tried it on my ipad which worked. I was scratching my brains. so I had an idea, I proceeded to reset network settings......BIG MISTAKE!!! Now, along with my imessage and facetime problems, I cannot connect to my wifi at home. when I enter the password it says it is incorrect. I have also tried entering the wifi manually but to no avail. I connected my iphone to itunes but it wont back up my data saying an error occured but it doesnt specify the error. Iv also noticed that if i press and hold an app, and it starts shaking, the crosses next to the apps that I hav purchased whether it is free or not does not show the 'x' next to them so I cant manually delete an app. What is going on? Is so frustrating because now I have to rely on my data and its depleting fast. Iv booked an appointment with the Genius bar for next week but I am hoping I can sort this out before hand. My first iphone and I was enjoying it up to now, not happy at all!

iPhone 5 Screen won't turn on
A couple days ago, I dropped my iPhone 5 in water. I put the phone in rice to dry out. After letting it sit in the rice for a couple days, I took it out. The phone works completely fine, I'm recieving calls and text messages, and I plugged the phone into the computer and it's at 60% battery. However, I can't access my phone. When I try turning it on, the screen is black, and it remains black. I've tried holding down the power button and the home button, but the Apple logo doesn't show up. How can I get the screen to start working again? I got my phone from Sprint, would I be able to take it into Apple and get help or would I have to go to Sprint?
Home button lagging up to hours iPhone 5
Last night my Home button just stopped working. So i started using the AssistiveTouch, then when i was sending a text, then my phone started to use the home button by itself. Like all my clicks had been queued up. I'm talking hours afterwards. Then for a bit, the button worked like it should. But after i put it to sleepmode, the same thing happened.And just now, i playing Candy crush(lol!) it just started again. I couldn't play because it kept going using the home button by itself. Starting voice control etc etc.. I have tried resetting rebooting the phone, I have tried to reset the phone and I have tried to recalibrate the home button. I mean, I could live with a few seconds delays, but 10 hours? Nope Any advice is appreciated, otherwise i'll guess I have to go to the closest store.
Verizon iPhone 4 not sendingreceiving non-iMessages
I just got my iPhone 3 months ago, brand new. First, it gave me problems because the lock button stopped working, (an issue I was told by a genius that I would have to pay for because I couldn't drive an hour a way at 16 years old to get to the closest Apple Store), and now it isn't sending text messages to anyone that doesn't have an iDevice. I am so done with this iPhone, it's only been three months and I'm DYING to get a droid. Please, help me figure out how to receive & send regular text messages at least until I can save enough to buy a phone that works.

Hi All - I sent an sms using my iphone 5 - It is PAYG and had no money in it. (stupidly) It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money) Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS. Any ideas? Many Thanks!

When I receive a text on my iphone, it will show that one message an not the rest of the conversation and freeze where I cannot send any messages. I also says I haven't opened the message. I've tried deleting the conversation and it just reappears. I can eventually get it to start working, but it just happens again and is getting more frequent. Any help?
Why will my iPhone not stay on longer 30seconds iPhone 5
My iPhone 5 has 9%battery life left and keeps turning itself off. If in leave it 5 mins it turns back on fine. 4 seconds after putting in my pin it turns off again.It's been turning off at 9% for a few months but not to this extent.It also has tendencies to go from 14% straight down to 1% just from sending a text message. But after turning it back on it shows as having 9%. Does anyone have any suggestions other than getting it checked at apply which I intend to or throwing it against a wall?

I am pretty frustrated i bought a Iphone 4 from a friend for $50.00 USD. iPhone 5 won't turn on at all
my iphone 5 recently had its battery replaced coz it had died.and after a week, it overheated when i was watching utube vids. The battery was at 50%,i let it cool and fell asleep. nxt morning it wouldnt turn on and i have tried the sleep?wake button and home button , but that was not good. ive also tried dfu mode, no luck. i also charged it for around 2 hours and still no luck. but surely the battery shouldnt be the problem when the baterry was replaced excatly a week ago.

Hello! So i have recently disconnected my att phone service and for a few weeks i have still been able to text and communicate using wifi which allowed me to use my old number. Today i was told about a phone service by the name of h2o which is ran through att but i was unsatisfied with not being able to use normal iphone functions so i replaced the new h2o sim card with my previous one. Upon doing so i was directed that iMessage was "waiting for activation" and no longer gave me the option to use my previous number like i had been doing before. All i want is to be able to communicate with people using my number like i was before, and i would like to know if there was a connection problem when i switched services or is this just no longer avaliable to me! iPhone 5 stuck on Searching and will not make or receive calls
As I have stated, iphone will not pick up any network and just stays on searching. Also, when "call" button is "pressed" the buttons does the graphic of being pressed, but doesn't make the call. Also des bnot receive calls or text messages. Have tried turning on and off/rebooting, turning airplane mode on and off, checked to make sure cellular data is on, resetting network settings. No changes. Anyone?
