WiFi iPhone 4

Ok so here's the deal.  At work I barely get one bar on our wireless network, but at home I of course have full signal.  At work I turn off the wifi because at that weak of a signal, it takes forever to send email or a picture on my phone. So I switch to the cellular network, and bam it goes fast.   But then when I get home I want it on the WiFi and keep forgetting to turn it on.  So my question is (without Jailbreaking) hasn't someone come up with an app that will set timers for wifi to turn on and off?  That seems like one that should have been out in the first year of Apps? 

What can I with my broken Iphone mic

I purchased my Iphone 4 while living in Hong Kong. I am now back in the UK and the phone has deveoped a problem where the mic cuts out during calls and the person I'm on the phone to can't hear me. I took the phone to the apple shop here and the girl told me that she would have given me a replacement but she can't because the phone is slightly different than the UK (european) model of the Iphone 4. She then told me to call apple care and explain to them over the phone.  I called apple care and an american woman said she can't give me support unless I pay £25 but will email me instructions on reseting the phone, I told her reseting won't make a difference as the mic problem is a common one with Iphone 4's and I've read it's a hardware problem. So anyways I reset my phone and nothing changed. I'm stuck in limbo right now and dunno what to do, does anyone have any suggestions? I think I'll get a galaxy when my contract is up this year.

iphone 5 suddenly no sound

I recently had a software update (6.1.4) on my Iphone 5.  I ran the update last week and everything seemed fine.  However, as of yesterday my phone no longer made sound, it just stopped making sounds to everything.  It makes no sound when it rings, when I receive a text/email or when I try to listen to music.  The sound is completely dead.  The little switch on the left of the phone is turned on for volume.  I did a reset and nothing seems to help.  Has anyone encountered this problem?  Does anyone have a solution?

To Change Apple ID on iPhone 3S

Using iPhone 3GS to change Apple ID:  go to SETTINGS; then to  Itunes & App Stores, tap your old Apple ID and sign out.  When you sign out it will let you enter a new email, (Apple ID) and (I hand already changed my ID on the Apple Store but not my password) .  So I was able to use the same password.  It already had my credit card info but made me verify the security code.  Easy, just needed to know WHERE to go.

iPhone 4s Mail App using Gmail-Username or password for account incorrect

I recently changed my Gmail password for my Gmail account while on my desktop pc. Then on my iPhone 4s, I configured the Google app (for the first time) for my Gmail account. This worked fine. I went back to the default iPhone Mail app (in Settings) which was already configured with my Gmail account (and was previously working). I figured I would be prompted to change my password - which I was. But it wouldn't accept the change. So I then deleted the account and tried to set it up again. It still won't work. It continues to say the username or password for the account is incorrect.  Can you not have the same Gmail account configured in both places - the Mail app and the Google app? Thoughts?Thanks!Lori

i have been using the same back up file for my phone's for the past four years and my iphone 5 started was all glitchy and i had over 10gb of other used up on phone so i restored it. before i restored it though i saved all of my pictures to a folder on my mac using image capture. now im wonder how to import the photos back into my camera roll, not another folder on my phone. so far i have tried using ieplorer and a couple of other programs like that but no luck. i have about 1,500 photos so i cant email all of them to myself and then save them all. all i want is all my photos back into my camera roll :/

iPhone 4S-Serial Number of replaced product

Hello everyone! I've got a problem with my iPhone 4S and I hope someone here can give me a hint on how to fix this... Last year in March I was on vacation in Las Vegas (I live in Austria/Europe) and bought a new unlocked iPhone 4S GSM in the Apple Store in the Forum Shops in Las Vegas including AppleCare+ (I just learned that iPhones can only be serviced in the Country where they are bought - my bad). Lately I was browsing through my Apple support profile and noticed that my iPhone was not registered there. So I tried to enter the serial number of the device and got this message:We're sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and re-enter your serial number. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us. I knew this could not be true so I called Apple Care here in Austria and first I was told that - according to its serial number - my iPhone has been replaced, and that it never should have been sold. I also was told that I have no chance of getting any service for this device despite the Care Protection Plan because the device is invalid due to its status as "replaced". And last but not least I was told that I could never receive any service for this device because American devices cannot be repaired in Europe (I was not aware of this fact and would have expected the salesperson in the Apple Store to tell me because I definitely told him that I am from Austria). Meanwhile I wrote an email to the store where I bought the iPhone from but it's two days now and I have not received an answer (or any indication that my email was received) yet. Is there anything I can do? Yours,Michael

Weather app showing wrong day and temperature iPhone 3G

When I check the weather in the notification tray and in the built-in weather app it says it's Sunday and the temperature is 45 degrees where I am.  That's incorrect.  It's Thursday and 67 degrees.   I also tried weather for major cities and it's showing the wrong day and temperature for them as well.  I checked Yahoo Weather and that data is correct.  I restarted my phone and at some point it showed the wrong data for my town in the local weather page, but the correct weather when I manually added my town, but when refreshing it's wrong for both. There's a number of complaints on Twitter about this.   What's going on?  How can Yahoo's weather be correct, but the iPhone's wrong since the iPhone weather app uses data from Yahoo?

Help With Mail iPhone 3G

Bought Mail+ from the store. It won't connect even though I have given it correct the Comcast email adddress, password and incoming domain at least 6 times. It tries to connect for 4-5 minutes and then times out and makes me reenter everything. Two requests for help from their customer service have not been answered in last 48 hours and I'm about to dump the app and move on but I paid for it so hate to give up. Any suggestions?

How I get my outgoing server to work on my Iphone 5

I bought my Iphone 5 from Apple when it was first available. I have had an ATT acount for many years along with an MSN email account. I have had issues with sending email from my IPhone 5 since I have recieved this phone. I have deleted and readded the email application numberous times(sometimes 10 times a day), I have reset my phone a number of times, I have also changed my email password a number of times and readded to both my incoming server and outgoing server passwords. I have spoken to ATT tech support, Apple Tech support and Msn tech support multiple times, they have not been able to help me. I sometimes have  gotten it to work for a few minutes to a couple of hours but as soon as I try to send an email from my phone again it will no longer send an email from my phone. I use my phone for work and this is very annoying as I have to use my email for work.I need help!  I have had Iphones since the first Iphone and Mac computers for over 10 years but I am now over it, at this point I would not recommend Iphones. I am now at the point of buying a phone that I can use and it will not be an Apple Iphone.

Iphone google redirect virus iPhone 4S

I have iPhone 4S and using chrome app. Google recently give me a lot of problem, it redirect to me to some website I never heard before such as http://corp.kaltura.com/. It was different website couple days ago. I tried on Safari, both app will have problem at the same time. If I can use google, Safari and chrome will both work, if google has problem, both will have problem (google only). I tried on search box or type google.com, clear all the histories and cookies. Could not solve problem.  Sometimes turn off the iphone then turn it back on will temperately solve the problem, but it come back again. Yahoo search engine has no problem at all. Anyone know how to fix that PS: sometimes I get google authentication requirement, but this redirect issue is not link to that. They are happen at two different times

So my friend sent me 3 images they had taken on their phone, 2 came as jpgs but one came as a .png image.  I was skeptical as they were different formats. Is this even possible and if not how could an image be a .png ?   read somewhere this could be a screenshot/grab but when i tried that myself to emailed to self through gmail app it still appreared as a jpg the email also came from someone using gmail  Thanks in advance

I had never faced any need for warranty repairs or any such thing previously.  My luck with the Iphone 5 was not the same. I was told by them that Apple has refused to take Any Iphone exibiting Scuffing or Scratches as this renders the iphone out of warranty. It just Dosnt make any Sense when Senior Apple SVP for Marketting Phill Schiller Him self on 25 Septeber 2012 in an email to an apple user have acknowledged that this kind of scuffing is natural to any aluminium product. I would like some one from Apple to Respond to this issue of mine and give me a solution. The worst part is there no authorised service in the country. Hi guys, I've used apple for 5 years now. Started with an Iphone 3GS and since then I could not use any other brand as a Cel Phone, and I tried, believe me I tried. I used an Iphone 4 for 3 years without having any problem, without having to even call Apple. Then, by the end of the last year I went to London for a trip. I bought an Iphone 5 and came back to my home country, that is Brazil...Used it for 4 months or so and it started having problems with the wake and sleep button, then I thought, "ok, apple is a worldwide company, they are reliable, that's the main reason for me to have bought it for so long and the phone still in warranty, they will trade it for me" so I called apple...For the first time in 5 years...And I did not get answered properly. Apple states that since I bought the Iphone in london, they warranty can only be used for trading the phone in london...I have no intentions of going to london this year, what meand I will lose my warranty and the money I spent with my Iphone.  To clarify, I did go to Washington for a better support, but they stated the same...I called apple and they stated that the Iphone is broken and needs to be traded but it can only be done in london. An analyst called James Downs told me to call apple regent street that's the one where I bought the Iphone and when I called there for getting my money back because they are not providing the proper support for my iphone they state that I need to take the Iphone to the store... End of the story, I have a broken Iphone, I am frustrated with apple, because they are acting as they do not care for the costumer at all. In my point of view, they should escalate the problem, call the brazilian store and trade my phone or ship me a brand new one. I took the iphone to different stores in different countries that I have access and so far nothing. Apple does not care, my iphone is 4 months old and is already broken...If nothing is done I'll be very frustrated, I'll be at least ****** because it seems I'll not have my money back because the store states they will not do that even though an apple consultant says it and I have no way of taking the phone to the store. Please, can anybody from apple help me with that? I really want my phone or my money...If you can just ship me a new one I'll be ok with that..But you should do something, you are apple, not some other ****** company around the world, will you not honor your brand?

I use it with more than 900+ contacts, 5 email accounts from different providers actively, many apps, and with all a real life companion sure however, I need a second to use with a different telephone operator. I would like to have all my apps, contacts, emails, and everything there, too, like a mirrored one. One is in my left pocket one is in my right pocket.. Is that possible? to cut a long story short. I was interested in an i-phone... got the details..checked them all.. on the phone and with the provider, VODAPHONE... told unlocked, not stolen etc etc. proceeded to buy the phone...new sim topped up £10 only to find it wouldn't work...  Went into vodaphone store..been running around following thier advice..(they said I need a friend who is a customer on vodaphone to get passed the unlocking with a vodaphone code.. and they would do it for free given the circumstances...so i run errands go back and forth doing as they asked...got nowhere) SO IT IS NOW A MONTH LATER..and after complaining and complaining to thier email site and repeatedly asking for help in store..I am stumped as what to do and just have a glorified ipod. I WILL NOT BE FORCED TO REMAIN ON THE VODAPHONE NETWORK given the situation they have put me in and thier unwillingness to help so i refuse to use the phone with vodaphone... BUT WHAT can i do PLEASEEEEEEE? all they keep on suggesting is that I get the original owners details but he is not answering anything...and the phone is not registered as stolen etc so what is the problem!? As you can imagine I am really peeved by the whole thing as I actually carried out all the necessary checks, and whilst the phone was not bought directly from vodaphone, I went to them as the provider, to find otu about unlocking etc as it is always advised to do so..and it was them that gave me the wrong information but they still will not resolve the issue. I have even sent them phone records to confirm when I rung and the name of the invalid who told me the phone was unlocked in the first place. I really would much appreciate any help as they are ignoring  my emails now.

Hello Apple Community : ) Unfortunately my old faithful 3GS recently gave up the ghost so I purchased an iphone 4S via e-bay but from an individual seller opposed to a company. (1st mistake....) Phone's a 32GB in white and to be fair works fine in every way except the camera?? I've attached a couple of photos I've just taken with my phone and another iphone 4 and I'm sure you can see the difference!! All pictures are coming out majorly cloudy/soft?? Basically sh*t! I just activated an iphone 4 with straight talk aboout a week or two ago and my internet is not working I have called them many times and they finaly told me to contact apple because all the setting information the phone needs is updated and they think it might be just a setting or something that is not right so the internet access can conect.So I'm wondering if you can help me find ot what that setting is or exactly what is going on with the phone that is not letting me get the internet access. It is working on wifi but not coming up with any internet access from the company.

If you got the confirmation message from the carrier that the unlock has been completed, follow the instructions in that email and restore the device.There is nothing to wait on Apple for. Let me be blunt, the carriers are full of manure and will use any excuse to blame others and try to avoid unlocking  your device. If you have not received confirmation from the carrier that the device has been unlocked, call them and find out what their timeframe is one completing the process.

Why Notes disappear from my phone iPhone 3G

Recently notes in the iPhone Notes app disappear. I still have 63 notes in the list, but when I edit one, it will disappear after awhile.  I can find these notes, with the editing, in my email app in the Notes folder.   Why do they disappear from my phone?
