When my wifi is off, everything works fine. My internet, all my apps, everything will load. When I turn on my wifi, that all goes downhill. my internet wont load, none of my apps that require internet are playable, nothing works. I have tried resetting my phone and restoring it, My boyfriends phone, which is exactly like mine, uses my wifi just fine without a problem. What should I do to fix this? I cant go to an Apple Store, I would have to take a 5 hour plane ride to get to the nearest one.

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 4, I recently went on vacation overseas and was using a gsm sim from that country, naturally the iMessage and all werent working but I figured it was because I was out of the US. Since I've gotten back, and started using my old sim, my iMessage, iCloud, Facetime, and MMS messaging aren't working. It wont even allow me to activate, the buttons are gray, it's locked or something. And its not a network problem because my sim is working fine, internet, apps everything. Except for iMessage, iCloud..etc. Can anyone help?

Hey all,I receive code 43 on my pc upon connecting iphone 4s. I have tried all the 'simple' fixes the internet has to offer: -restarting, -completely powering off and 0removing the battery, -different USB port, - troubleshooting and auto repairing the drivers, -checking my firewall and possible relaxing it (although odd, it was actually suggested to me). Whenever I try to sync my iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of this iPhone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iPhone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading. I've removed and reinstalled iTunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work. I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work. Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all. I have the same internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it. Can anyone figure out what I should do? Thanks

Screen display problems LCD iPhone 5
I bought an iPhone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iPhone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . When I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iPhone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!

iphone 4s internet not working. my phone have singnal while using. on the left top corner have the display of "4G" and i can text or phone to someone. but i can't use my internet. it is all fine since this morning. when i tried a web page, it goes slower than before. after 1 hour, the internet totaly can't be used.my wifi part couldn't be used either. but it began at december 2012. and i don't usually use the wifi. so i didn't pay attention to it. wifi part is sometime good sometime bad. mostly after i restar it, the wifi can be used for 1 or 2 muniutes. i was not sure whether or not is the problem of att. but other members of my family plan are all fine at internet.which part of phone would be the problem? especially for the hard ware parts. i think there would be some problems in hardware. i always drop my phone unintentionally.
YouTube videos load slower on WiFi than LTE iPhone 3G
I have noticed that YouTube videos (using the Google app) have difficulty loading on my iPhone 5 when connected to WiFi. They will load, but every 10-15 seconds it will stop and try to buffer more video, making the viewing experience entirely undesirable. I've tried switching WiFi off and the videos load without issue. I understand that having a WiFi connection enabled makes the video stream at a higher quality vs. LTE which may explain the difference in speed. My question is - does this happen for everyone or just me? I've run a few speed tests on my WiFi and I am getting the speeds I would expect given the internet plan I have. Web pages load fine, apps download quickly, etc. The only issue is with YouTube. Is this a limitation of YouTube bandwidth or an issue with the app or an issue with the phone? I heard today that around 1.3 million YouTube videos are played every minute... so if it is just a limitation of YouTube then I guess there is nothing I can do about it... Hi all, i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Hi all.Had my iPhone 4s for about a year. For the last few days I've had to turn it off and turn back on in order to make or receive phone calls (Call Failed message). It then works fine for a while. Receive texts (telling me I've missed a call), send texts, connect to internet etc no problem.Any ideas?

I have a few iPhones that I am working on. I upgraded them to the lates IOS but then when they try to activate they say that the activation server is busy or not able to be reached. I am in Costa Rica, I have tried it on three different internet connections with iphones that are unlocked and iphones that are locked with att. I have att sim cards as well. I try over wifi and I try with iTunes, I still get the server is busy, this has been going on for weeks. Can someone please provide a work around for this?

Okkay so ever since a few weeks ago my iPhone 5 stopped connecting to new WIFI networks... I didn't really see it as a big deal until my friends were all connected to the same wifi and my iPhone couldn't (Correct password and EVERYTHING).. and right now i'm at my dad's house and his iphone 5 is connected to the WIFI but mine isn't.. idk *** is going on but i'm starting to become ****** with apple.. I've seen hundreds of post on the internet about this and it seems like nothing is being done about it..?! DATA ISN'T UNLIMMITTED UNDER MY PLAN!!!!! I should NOT be responsible for this bill when I could be fine connected to wifi networks........ And now it's to the points where my device is having me relog into any social netowrks that i try logging into (Twitter.. Vine.. etc.).. WHY?!!? AND NOW I can't even connect to blue tooth devices that all my friends on iPhone 4's are connected too... *** IS THE PROBLE AND WHY IS THERE NO ANSWER TO THIS?!?!?! VNC from iphone to mac without wifi
Hello everyone, I'd like to know if it is possible to VNC from my iphone/ipad to my macbook without wifi? I use real VNC viewer to access my Macbook (which has Real VNC Enterprise Server installed) using my iphone/ipad and it works well when I have internet. However, I'd also like to be able to control my mac from my iphone in the same fashion when I do not have access to WIFI or wired internet. I have scoured the net for answers and while there are plenty of links for controlling your iDevice from your Mac, there is seemingly nothing out there that shows you how to do the reverse in the absence of Wifi. I have read about SSH tunneling via a tethered USB connection but have not found any comprehensive instructions as to whether such a method would work to control my Macbook with my iPhone/iPad. I was hoping there would be devices such as receivers plugged into the USB port that would allow this sort of interaction when no internet is available but haven't come across any. Does anyone know if this can be done? Thanks.

El iphone en cuanto sale de una señal wifi no se conecta a 3 g . Me sale completa la señal de servicio de celular y tengo que estar poniéndole en modo avión varias veces. Since I updated my iPhone 5 to the latest iOS version 6.1.4 (10B350), I have experienced several ongoing issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. Is anyone else experiencing issues? For example, I can no longer get a stable wireless connection from my bedroom or bathroom in my flat, whereas I previously had full strength and access to the internet. I have checked with my ISP and there are no issues with broadband in my (small!) flat and my wireless router is working perfectly. The wireless connection drops occasionally, both in my flat when I am connected and also when I am out and about. This change immediately happened once I updated my iOS to the new version 6.1.4 (10B350). Any thoughts?

My iPhone will not send messages to my boyfriend and him only although i can receive his texts messages, i am on an irish network called 3 but he is on one called vodafone ( also irish) it is only his phone who cant receive my texts and i have tried everything that i have looked up on the internet icluding putting a number @ the end of his to get his orignal num and send to that i have trie turning my phone on and off i have tried group messages but none of this is working, as you can guess this is extremely frustrating and espicially so seen as i paid alot of money for this phone and expect it to actually work!!!!! im looking for good clear advice that someone who doesnt know all the technical bits of the phone to can understand and implement this to make my phone work please!!

My iPhone keeps dropping its cellular connenction for the internet. I have to switch the phone off and back on or mobile data on or off or a combination of both to make it work again. On a possibly related but maybe unrelated note it also switches off while it still has battery (sometimes with as much as 30% left), then it won't start until it is plugged in again and then it starts up showing plenty of battery.

What can I if I microwave my iPhone
I made the idiotic decision of microwaving my iPhone 5 - only for four seconds, but nonetheless it has caused my phone to lose its wifi and phone service... it only shows "No Service" in the top left corner and I don't know what to do. Hello, I had this greyed out wifi problem for over 2 weeks and applied every solution I saw in internet (Reset, Recover, format and etc.), but it didn't work, so I contacted Apple Support, and they said it is hardware problem. My question is will Apple give me a new phone or refurbished one or fix it? Note that I bought my phone in December 2012, so it is about 5-6 months old.

iPhone 5 2.4ghz weak wifi connectivity issues
Hello. So when I got my iPhone 5 I had a 2.4ghz linksys router and I thought the router was messing up dropping the connection a few times a day so I bought a Netgear dual band which in return worked pretty well. Now for some circumstances I had to move for a while to an apartment and the router there is a netgear 2.4ghz and it worked fine since I was very close to the router but then I moved rooms and I would get 2 bars BUT the conection would be super slow, it barely loaded web pages. So I didn't notice this but whenever something heavy was to be loaded, it dropped the wifi connection and used the LTE data. Before you know it, after a day of watching netflix, I had used about 2gb of data. what the frick??? So I decided to test out my iPhone 5 vs my iPad 3 and the results were: iPhone 5 and iPad 3 did well in 5ghz band, near and far, but iPhone 5 was significantly slower iPhone 5 did well in 2.4ghz band, near, but still significantly slower than the iPad 3 near the router.iPhone 5 was slow in 2 bars and dropped connection to LTE in 2.4ghz band, far from the router. so my conclusion was that maybe my wifi chip is faulty which is why i'm getting very poor signal and connection. the worst part is it drops my wifi connection and connects to LTE and eats up my data. Turning off cellular data seems to get rid of that issue, but nothing fixes the slow internet while having 2 bars on 2.4ghz. will they replace my iPhone if I take it to an Apple Store?would it help that the screen seems to be ungluing from the bottom? i press on it and it makes a clicking sound when before it didn't use to.

Iphone 4S keeps disconnecting WIFI frequently when in use
My iphone suddenly began disconnecting frequently from my Access point like every 4 seconds, maybe every minute. it just disconnects randamly,i have had this issue for two days now . I restored my iphone to IOS 6.1.3 and yet the issue is still preserved , so i reset my router and my access point to their default setting and still the WIFI keeps on disconnecting. I even tested my IPhone to connect to my Uncle's wifi access point and still it disconnects from it frequently.My Iphone has never suffered any damage. it has never fallen on the ground and not even scratched.The disconnection here is not that the iphone disconnects from the wifi when i lock the phone but it's worse it disconnects when the phone is in use even if I am downloading something from the app store or streaming a video on youtube and then it will automatically reconnect again which is pretty annoying especially if i am using a VOIP service .i tried everything now and seems nothing helps. Is this a Hardware or a software problem ?, i would be glad to hear from other users that i am not the only one affected by it. I live in Egypt, is there Apple Support in here ?, Any suggestions will Greatly help me .

After several attempts, I got in touch with the Apple of my country (Brazil), and to my surprise, the search for the serial device, they reported that the device is locked by Sprint and manufactures do not accept support or exchange (The unit has 1 month bought with full price in amazon), telling me to settle with Amazon. I insisted informing them that the unit was purchased unlocked and they also reported that this device is aimed at the European market, it works with CDMA and GSM and Apple Brazil suporPelas just the research I have done and talking to some people, I passed the information that Sprint can easily inform this code (or Imei) not sure which unlocks the device again, but have no information on how to get or do that. I contacted Amazon stating what happened and I'm waiting for a position within it, is to send the code or return the handset. My model is the A1429. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help? Mainly my problem is that most of the time now i have to switch toEDGE and then back to 4G to get faster internet. I have an iphone 4S Unlocked, I am using t-mobile and i have made sure that it is not the service nor the SIM.Ive reset the setting, ive had a restore again to a new iphone, and ive tried to downgrade my carrier version back to carrier 14.0 from t-mobile 14.1.It worked before i restored to IOS 6.1.3 because of memory issuess. I have made my way arround how IOS works and most of the technical stuff to do with it. Overall, How can i fix this or what can i do essentaily to bring back my faster and more reliable internet? p.s DIdnt know where this would go so i posted it here. p.s+ Yes i was jailbroken before i restored. At that time i had good cellular internet

i have an iphone 4s and it just turned off and wouldnt turn back on until i got home and plugged it in to the mains. however it wont connect to my carrier and wont let me turn wifi on or use the internet. all my data is still in place. however when i disconnect from the charger it switches straight off immediately. it also just flashes up the apple icon (on 10 seconds, off 10 seconds.......) when i connect to either car charger or computer. it also resets itself every single time i turn it back on using the mains charger. please help me understand what is happening to my phone is there anything apple could do if i took it to one of their main shops??? My iPhone 5 operates at about the speed of dial-up internet. Every time I try to do something I have to wait. My harddrive is not even close to being full and I always close out of my programs so I am confused. It is mainly a problem with contacts (adding, editing, viewing, anything). I also occasionally hardware reset (power and home button same time) to try and help but to no avail. Is this an Apple issue that a trip to the Apple Store will take care of? I am just sick and tired of having upgraded to an iphone 5 only to step backwards in speed and performance, plus switching over deleted over half of my contacts even though I had icloud set up on my 4 and also on my 5 so it should have been seamless. Is my phone a lemon?
iPhone 4s stuck in recovery mode. Error code-1 .
I recently bought my iPhone 4s from a guy (who bought it from someone else). He sold it to me pretty cheap because when he bought it, one of his friends tried to restore it for him and it got stuck in recovery mode. I have no idea if the phone has ever been "tampered with" or not. He didn't seem to know much about it (said it was his first smartphone) and I thought I might have a chance of fixing it. I'm starting to lose faith in that...I've tried almost everything I can find. I know there are tricks for this all over the internet and I've tried almost all of them. TinyUmbrella does nothing, Redsn0w won't even install on my computer (frustrating!). Trying to restore from iTunes is useless. It gets to about 90% then comes up with error code (-1) and gives up. I've tried that route probably 20 times with no change. I know I could take it into Apple and they could look at it, but I have no information on the phone itself. I cannot get the serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'll try anything that doesn't require me taking it to Apple and getting charged more than I paid for the phone to fix it....I run Windows 7. Thanks so much!

Hello! i have iphone-4. I was using a prepaid connection in which 3G internet was working properly. Now i switched to postpaid connection but now 3G internet is not working even it has been activated from the provider. It is showing a message 'Could not activate cellular data, PDP authentication failure'.

My iphone 4s no longer allows me to connect to any wifi connections. The option is greyed out and wont let me do anything to it. I have tried restarting and resetting the network connections and all settings but this has not worked. The wifi came back briefly randomly at one or two points but could not find any wifi networks. I have read on the internet it is probably a hardware problem so I will be taking it back to apple next week. Just wondered if anyone had any further ideas about the problems?
