Apple not want to cover guarantee on audio module failure I-Phone 4S

I subscribed to the AT&T phone service and got the I-phone 4S still under guarantee until May 10, 2013.The problem started around December 09th, 2012 with:- the ringer started to generate a loud popping sound at every ring when there are incoming calls, - Later I discovered that the audio did not work for you-tube clips and Quicktime videoclips - The screen blacked out during phone conversations (it did not happen before) so I cannot type a note or check email during the calls.- During the phone conversation I cannot change the screen applications; as it is locked and blacked out.I then brought the I-phone to the AT&T, who explained to me that the I-Phone technical problems must be handled by Apple, so I went to the Apple store in the South Center mall in Washington the same day, December 28th, 2012. The technician there told me to make an appointment.On December 30th I went to the Apple store in Bellevue Square Washington, the first technician there told me that my I-Phone got “water damage”.  The second technician told me that it was not caused by water damage but there are too many issues going on at the same time, and possibly by resetting the I-Phone everything should be in order; to that all pictures and some of my data was lost during the reset process; but the problems remain and worsen:  My I-Phone intermittently shut itself down.today Wednesday January 23, 2013 I return to the Apple store in Bellevue Square and meet with the technician Ian Cochran-Keith who diagnoses the issues; he mentions that my I-Phone connectors got “corroded” due to “water damage” and proposes to me two solutions:- The audio module needs repair and the cost is 59$ but the issue could come back or- Pay 199$ and get a new I-Phone.(See attached note #3 from the technician) I would like to present my formal request to Apple to honor the quarantee on my I-Phone and fix the issue of missing audio on videoclips also the screen black-out during phone conversation, beyond that the phone is working ok, I can still receive calls, make calls and other applications with Safari internet surfing . I never have a problem with my I-Phone regarding any “water damage”. What “Water Damage” the technician is reffering to?  Falling in water? Rain? Static heard through headphones iPhone 5

On the iPhone 5, with headphones, you can hear a slight static click just before a sound it initiated-keyboard opens, music starts playing, etc. If you are on contacts and click the keypad tab(switch between keypad and contact tabs is very evident) it also happens. You can also hear it quite well from the going from the home screen to spotlight search and back-of course mute has to be off and keyboard clicks have to be enabled.    Tried 3 different iPhone 5s, all there. 6 different headphones, all there.  4S has it but much less pronounced. Seems to be the audio amplifier turning on/off. I would have thought they could have eliminated the static popping noise a bit better.

Let's Get Started screen appears every time I sync-How to stop it iPhone 4

The "Welcom to your new iPhone - let's get started" screen appears every time I connect via usb cable. If I click on continue it just takes me to the normal summary screen for the phone. Not that performance is hindered at all, I just didn't have this happening with my 3G. Anyone know how to prevent the screen from popping up every time? Thanks.

Stuck in guided access screen with no lockpower button 4s

Help!  I looked online for a way to lock my iphone 4s without having to use the lock/power button (as mine has recently stopped working) and found where some one said to turn on the guided access to enable a lock with pushing the home button three times.  I have enabled it, but now am stuck in the menu.  keeps popping up to to push home button three times to exit, but when I do, nothing happens.  I've read on here to do a manual restart, but I can't do that with a broken lock.  Anything else I can do?? My phone is out of warranty.  Thanks!

I have an original (not jailbroken) IPhone 4 with IOs 4.3.5.I'm happy with the config on the phone.  I have a couple of apps that are in the app store that keep popping up for updates.If I update them, I won't be able to use them as they are updates for IOs 5 above. Is there a way to stop these from asking for updates?  I have gone into the settings and turned one of the items off, but it still shows. Is there an app for this to hide updates that I want to stop?

I don't know what's wrong with my iPhone 4S. The home button doesn't work, like I can press it but it won't do anything. Not to mention that Siri keeps randomly popping up. And to add to that, whenever I turn the phone off it turns itself back on. How do I fix this?

About a month ago I noticed an almost inaudible, inconsistent "pop" when I touched or dragged a finger across the left-center portion of my iPhone 5's screen. Its getting gradually worse to where it is now detectable almost every time I tap anywhere in the left side of the screen. It's almost as if the screen itself is somehow coming loose (if I hold the phone tightly on either side, the popping is significantly diminished, which makes me think... increased friction prevents slippage of the screen, which means no popping sound). Anybody else have this problem? I just scheduled a genius bar appointment to hopefully bring the issue to their attention. That, and to chat with them about my abysmal battery life.

Headaches and Dizziness with iPhone 5

After upgrading from the iPhone 4S to the iPhone 5 I noticed dizziness and headaches after using my phone.  As I tried to pinpoint the issue I noticed my ears popping when talking on the phone. After feeling like a lunitic for the first week, I think I have finally found the cause of the issue - the new iPhone 5 has Active Noise Cancelling, which causes those exact symptoms in a small number of people. Is there anyway to turn off the Noise Cancelling?  I'm generally in a loud area and the pressure felt on my ear caused by the noise cancelling is unpleasent - enough to the point where I'd rather go back to my iPhone 4S or stop talking on the phone all together. If software won't do it, is there hardware I can rip out or disable that will stop the noise cancelling?

I used Viber for 3 months. Since yesterday I deactivated it to stop my friend from calling me. Then I try to download another one from AppStore after delete the old one. I seemed working really well, but not. After I received the access code, I type it in, it's right. But then instead of take me to my viber like usual, it popped me out to Home (Menu) screen, then I tried to start viber again, but it appeared the sign like processing, then POPPED out again and again.  I did delete it one more time, download another one, type the same access code but it didn't work at all. I took the other one, and the same story happened!!! After that I cannot take anymore access code from viber (the issue is you cannot take more than 2 access codes in 24 hours), so I wait for 12 hours, did the same process, repeat the same thing. 3 days, I keep doing, keeping falling, keep stop using viber and my friends seem out of reach to me!!!!!!!! What can I do next???????????? Viber is helpful, but then without it, it annoyed me more than!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please help me out!!! Thanks a lot!!!

Can't charge my iphone in my car ARGH iPhone 4S

I have bought two USB-car chargers so far to charge my iphone in my car but none of them works!!!First one was looks like this,I bought a belkin iphone accessory pack, and it came with it.When I use this charger, my iphone would say it's charging- battery icon popping up. But then about 30seconds later it would turn on the light on by itself indicating that it has been disconnected. 30 seconds later, it's charging.. repeat..The accessory pack was really cheap and I thought I have received a faulty one..So I bought this last night!I plugged my iPhone cable to the USB slot and nothing happens...Nothing at all. No response from the iphone.When I inserted my old charger to one of the three slots, it had the same result as just plugging it in to the ciggarate slot directly.. So maybe the USB slot is just faulty??I can't believe I have to buy a third charger to plug it into the second charger I bought..WHAT is this!?! am I doing something wrong?   can you not charge an iphone 4S with 5v 500ma ??

Volume indicator buttons problem on iPhone 4

I am experiencing a weird problem ever since I got my iPhone 4. The problem is that the Ringer Volume Indicator keeps popping up on the screen without touching any buttons. Why My Iphone Keep popping Up Other Itunes Account Users

I have restored my iphone and backed it up from Icloud and now randomly my phone will pop up 4 itunes accounts stating to put their password ( like if you were going to download an app when it asks you to verify your password. Can any beta-testers out there tell me if this unification is optional?  My whole family shares a single apple ID, so it will become very awkward if iMessages or Facetime calls start popping up globally on my iPhone 4, my wife's iPhone 4, my son's iPhone 3GS, and our various touches. I'm guessing the phones won't be affected since they each obviously have a unique phone number, but how about the touches?

Touchstart event not fired in IOS 4.3 iPhone 4

I used document.addEventListener('touchstart', eventHandler); Evrything works fine in IOS 5, but when it comes to IOS 4.3, touchstart is fired on the entire document except on the input fields.Is there any workaround to make this work on input fields on 4.3 too. I use touchstart because, if i use preventdefault on touchstart handler, it would stop device keypad from popping up (and it does in IOS 5.0) , which isn't happening in 4.3 Obviously. Thanks,Wax

I have a iPhone 3Gs, iOS 5.1 I recently downloaded an app called Small Street and was checking out what they had for in-app purchases.  I had to press buttons to check for a price on their items and now, a confirmation popup keeps popping up for me to "confirm my purchase".  Unfortunately, it doesn't stay on the screen long enough for me to cancel it.  It pops up for about half a second and disappears.  It does this almost every five minutes when I play the game and I can't cancel it because it only stays up for less than a second before it's gone again.  I'd like to know how do I stop this confirmation popup.  I even tried to switch the settings to disallow in-app purchases but since it was already active, that didn't work. How do I stop this popup?  It is very annoying.

Can t delete old apple ID at all iPhone 3G

I can not delete my old apple ID from my iphone when I want to update my apps.  I have changed my ID and password on itunes and even on my iphone.  However everything i hit update the old ID/email pops up.  I would like to asked someone how to do this. I just changed my ID on the iphone and it seem to do that same change on itunes.  I am so confused now I don't know what to do.  I even reset the entire iphone a few weeks back to start over and that old ID keeps popping up.  My next step is to delete all my download apps and start over.

restore failing after iphone 4 disabled

I forgot the password for my Iphone 4 and have managed to disable the phone. I now have a screen which tells me to connect to itunes. When I connect to itunes it tells me I need to restore the phone, during restore it gets to 99% then starts again. this happened twice and basically goes back to the start, gets to 99% then starts again. I have no idea what to do now, I have tried a phone repair shop and when he connected my phone to itunes he got 2 or 3 error messages popping up and wouldn't let him do anything. I am able to answer calls, but can't get into the phone to do anything. When i receive a call or a text it comes up on the home screen with the contact name. This leads me to believe that the restore has completely failed as I would have lost my contacts, is this right?  I would really appreciate any help, I have a 6 year old daughter and have thousands of photos and videos of her, even if I lose everything with restore I am hoping at least to be able to most of them back as I synched about 3 or 4 months ago. At the very least I want these even if the phone is broke. Thank you in advance.

iPhone 4s-Apps Won t Update

Disclaimer: I have searched for answers to my particular problem, but either a) the problems aren't the same or b) there's still no answer to problems that are even remotely similar. I have an iPhone 4s that I sync via iCloud and/or with my MacBook Air, and all devices have the latest software updates. Here's the problem: just yesterday, my iPhone lost the ability to update apps. I'll go to the App Store on my device to check for updates and see one or two or however many...I'll hit the update button, enter my password, and then the app icons turn grey like normal, with the empty progress bar underneath. The problem, however, is that nothing happens past that. The icons remain greyed out, with an empty progress bar underneath and the apps never update. I've tried updating over different WiFi networks as well as over 3G, yet nothing works. I can update the apps on my MacBook Air, but it doesn't even work when I plug my device directly into the Air. The same apps still need updating on my iPhone. I've tried resetting my iPhone via the normal two methods, and the problem still persists. And additionally, my iPhone keeps randomly popping up the iTunes password box on my screen. This usually happens at some point after I've attempted to update an app, gotten frustrated because it won't update, and then reset my phone. Any help would be much appreciated.

iPhone 4s call end hang not detecting carrier

So this problem has become progressively worse to the point where my iPhone is not working in its main purpose: AS A PHONE I had a problem a month back where my phone which was working fine 10minutes beforehand stated that the sim failed. After a restart, sim fail again, same after a reset.  I took this to the provider that sold me my sim and to my surprise they removed the sim rubbed it with an eraser and then it worked again??? I dont know if this is related to the current problem.  The main issue is that I cannot make or receive calls.  Hitting dial works but then there is no sound, the people i call dont receive anything other than a missed call and when i try to hang up, the end screen hangs after the red button goes grey.  If you hit the home button or the power button to lock at this point you can get back to the home screen no problem.  Hitting the phone again brings up the same call with the end button now back to red.  Hitting again causes this to hang again.  The only way avoid this is to hit home, then double tap home and kill the phone app. I am in an area where reception is a little sketchy.  Prior to this issue occuring, there would be 2/3 bars of reception and when signal dropped out hitting airplane mode  on and off lead to the phone searching again for the signal, this took time but it would come back up at one or two.  Currently, the phone will show reception of 2/3 bars constantly.  This is unusual, as there was always times when the signal dropped out.  When hitting airplane mode on and off to check this the signal immediately comes back to 2/3 bars and does not search at all.  I believe the carrier signal indicator is hanging and this may be related. Another issue i have noted is when starting to make the call, i put the phone to my ear to see if its ringing and siri pops up?  Siri should most definitely come up at this point as it is not set to voice commands (and i havent spoken anyway) and i do not touch the home button.  Siri only comes on when the phone touches my ear.  So far i have tried: 5.01 update - same issuesToggling airplane mode on and off to get it to search for the carrier again - this occasionally worked until 2 days agoTurning the phone off and on - this occasionally worked until yesterdayResetting the phone (home and off button) - this occasionally worked until 1hr agoDeleting all apps - this did nothingTurning off wifi - also nothingTurning of location services - nothingTurning off siri- nothing (although it stops popping up when touching to ear)Removing the sim - this worked last week, today no luck (i even tried the eraser trick)Turning off siri I have read a much as I can on this issue (and it seems to be everywhere) and havent seen a peep from Apple regarding a fix (yes, i will restore tonight to confirm but nobody said this worked either).  If this is such a widespread issue why doesnt Apple have a better troubleshoot than what i did above (yes, i know i need to try the restore, but again every question i read said this didnt work). My problem compounds, I am working in Singapore and my phone was purchased in Australia (unlocked from Apple).  Getting to an Aussie retailer is not as easy as going down to the shops for me.  My question is this, is this a hardware issue?  I need a phone for work and decided to upgrade from my 3G (yes dinosaur) as soon as the 4S came out.  I must have this sorted by tonight and am very worried that my expensive new phone is junked (ok yes my sudoku app would still work if i didnt delete it) I tried to do this through the express lane but the only options are via a phone call.  I cannot receive calls, I cannot make calls, apple how can you make these the only options when this was the topic i selected. I just want my phone to work.  Can anyone help please? Kind regards, Exasperated long time apple user and supporter (since mac SE)

I am on my second iphone 4S, the first was replaced for the same problem and I wanted to see if anyone has this going on too. If I am typing/holding the phone with my fingertips on the back, when I release pressure, the back "clicks" like it is sticking to the internals and then popping back out. It happens where the battery sits on the right side of the back (opposite of the camera) and is louder towards the middle than top/bottom.  If I hold the phone on the metal side, and lightly tap the back I can get the same response. It seems to happen louder and more easily when the phone is warm than if it is below room temp.  The back is visually flexing when I do this, if you watcj a reflection you can see the reflection bending with the glass.  Although it is pretty annoying to hear, my main concern is that there is glue that isn't properly adhered inside the glass and it's going end up with the panel falling off and breaking, then it's my fault.
