Hello! i have iphone-4. I was using a prepaid connection in which 3G internet was working properly. Now i switched to postpaid connection but now 3G internet is not working even it has been activated from the provider. It is showing a message 'Could not activate cellular data, PDP authentication failure'.
I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked
I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue? I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iPhones instead. People find ways to cheat and ripoff people who doesn't deserve to pay extra for the phone they bought. else having trouble charging their iphone 5
hey! i upgraded to an iphone 5 in october 2012. ive always had the iphones and never had a problem with them before. however, this phone has decided it no longer wants to charge, at first i thought it was the usb so i brought a new one for it. but it didnt charge it either. i have tried using different sockets ive even used my dockinstation but nothing works. the phone is all up to date and shows a message stating 'this accessory is not meant for charging' , anyone else having the same problem?

I have Iphone 5 here in Oman. But there is no any option of Enable LTE in cellular settings. Why is it so? Mobile Operators have LTE services and my SIM is also privisioned with LTE. iPhone 5 not ringing or alerting of texts calls going to voice mail
My iPhone 5 recently started having problems with the ringer. The ringer will be turned all the way up, the mute button is NOT being used and the phone will not ring for calls or alert for texts. It is not always happening, but more so than not. I have tried rebooting the phone, the OIS is up to date and I do not have the "Do Not Disturb" set. I can be in the same spot with LTE and full signal have a call/text that is missed then receive a call/text and it rings. Does not seem to matter if the call is coming from a land line, same Verizon carrier cell or different carrier cell there is no noticable reason. Any ideas???
iPhone 5-rattling phone second replacement coming
hi guys. i can see this is a common issue. i have heard a few different reasons about why this is happening. either it's the autofocus mechanism or the vibrate motor.whatever the reason, this should not be happening on a £600 piece of hardware. the quality control at apple is not what it used to be and when they are rushing to manufacture millions of devices to tight deadlines in china then this is a problem that was going to happen sooner or later.i am of the opinion that this is a fault with possibly more than 50% of all iphones manufactured to date and apple needs to do a product recall. it seems that they have told staff to not admit this as a fault to try and avoid just that.i got a replacement and it arrived, the rattle was slightly less noticable but definitely still there. i just ordered another replacement and will continue to keep doing so until i get a device that doesn't rattle.before anyone says that this is normal and it is SUPPOSED to rattle, that is BS. i have been to the apple store in brighton and tried the display models and even tried a few they had in the back after speaking with a staff member. out of the 12 phones i went through, 2 didnt rattle AT ALL. Now you tell me if that is normal and people should just put up with the substandard product that apple has churned out this time. I say NO, and the more people that actually make a stand, the quicker apple will be forced to spend some of their $600B on fixing this issue.
Trouble Restoring iPhone iPhone 4S
I am having trouble restoring my iPhone. When I try to restore it, it says I need to update my iPhone first but I have already done so and my iPhone says it is currently up to date. I also just try and dowload the update again to just try it and it comes up with an error and won't finish everytime. I have been trying to update my iPhone's software for the past few weeks due to my current provider not being found. (A bar that says "Searching" is always at the top where my 3G should be.) Yet whenever I try directly from my iPhone, it always end with an error message. So, yesterday I tried updating directly from itunes and I let it download the new update and all that. However, after it finished trying to update my iPhone, it put my iPhone in a recovery mode and I've been trying to fix it eversince. I can not access my iPhone, all it has is an icon saying to connect to itunes. I've tried troubleshooting, checking my software, updating my computer etc. yet it still leaves me with this message: "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1)." I've looked on the apple site and I've made sure my security is up to date, my computer is up to date, my itunes is up to date and that I have restarted my computer. I am very irritated and I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do because my warranty is over with apple and I still have a few years on my contract. I recently purchased an iPhone 5 (Monday, May 6th) and am convinced that the battery is defective. I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. Why Apple store keeps replacing my iPhone 5 with faulty ones
This is a true story.Since 5 months ago I have received 3 faulty iPhone 5s from Apple store, everytime for a different defect. Here are the details: 1)I got my new iPhone5 in January. the home button got broken in just a week. So I went to apple store and they replaced it with a new one. 2)In April, the new phone's sleep button stopped functioning properly. Again I reserved an appointment and got a new one from Apple store.3) the day after I got the new phone I noticed that the phone's mic doesnt work while on speakerphone(my iOS is up-to-date) All I can say is that I am very disappointed. I am very relied on my phone because of the nature of my work and the iPhone has so far let me down many times. I had iPhone 4 before for almost two years and it functioned well until it had an unfortunate accident. I am pretty sure that this is not just being out of luck. This has something to do with the quality or design of the iPhone 5. How can I trust this phone until the end of my contract with my current provider while I wont have a warranty for the last two years?

iPhone 5 on Verizon upgraded to 6.1.4 (over the air, not via iTunes) has resulted in the phone giving priority to 3G in areas where LTE is available. I am able to get LTE when I disable and enable the radoio (Airplane Mode). Unless I force this, my phone is either on WiFi or 3G. LTE is enabled (Settings -> General -> cellular -> Enable LTE: On). Is anyone else experiencing this?
Viber Editing text hard to impossible-cursor jumps always to end iPhone 3G
Hi all, everytime I want to edit text I'm entering into the message box, I'm not able to do it, since the cursor always jumps to the end of the text.This makes it impossible to mark & copy some or all text, as well as rephrasing or correcting typos. The only 'workaround' I found is to keep the finger on the target position (and having the looking glass active) and then type one character (or delete on). I'm a little bit curious since my friend and me are experiencing that issue for a long time now though I found no reference on the net for it yet (except one to a wordpress app). It happens on a 3GS as well as on a 4, at least all 6.* versions of iOS, with the previous (2.3.1) as well as with the current Viber version (3.0.0).Also experienced on iPad (3rd gen, cellular edition) with 6.1.3 / 3.0.0 Any hints or tipps are very welcome! iphone 5 camera not working
So i have my brand new iphone 5, since out of the box (2 days ago) the camera is not working, the camera app launches when i hit the camera icon but the shutter wont open, now if hit home button and then open camera again the shutter opens but the screen is black and i can't use any button on the camera app (auto flash, switch to front camera, etc.). Last night i read somewhere in this forums to turn off "cellular Data" on the facetime setting, and it started working, until today when i got the same problem. i already restored it as new and it did nothing. Turn off everything except GPS iPhone 5
I have a CDMA iPhone (Verizon), and I frequently hike using an app that tracks my route with GPS. However, the battery drains completely in 3-4 hours partly because the phone is looking for a cellular network. I tried turning on Airplane Mode, but that also disables the GPS. Of course, I have turned off cellular data and bluetooth, but the phone keeps looking for a cellular (voice) network. I have checked forums and people with GSM phones simply remove the SIM card, but I can't do that since I have a Verizon phone. Is there any way to turn off the battery-draining search for a cellular network when I am in remote areas?

Distortion when playing back audio left and right channels. iPhone 4S
Recently, my iPhone 4s has been producing distortion in the right channel when playing back music and/or making VOIP calls. It is now starting on the left channel as well. Making cellular calls is fine (no distortion). Playing music through the doc connector is fine. Playing music through bluetooth is fine. Have I fried my onboard DSP for the onboard audio output devices? When I record video, audio is unbearably distorted.
logging into iTunes iPhone 4
I was logged into iTunes on my iPhone 4, I logged out, attempted to login under my other Apple ID, and it gave me an error message: "Cannot log into iTunes, an unknown error occured." Does anyone know if this is a common problem, and whether or not it is on my end (communication to apple) or on their end (communication from apple)? Since then it will not allow me to login under either Apple ID. I have tried, while connected to a reliable wi-fi source, and while connected through cellular service. Still no luck. On to restart I guess.

Hi Guys, I have an Iphone 4s and a yellow mark appears on my screen whereas my warrantly is expire since February. I go to a Genius Bar and the refuse to take care of my problem. As I saw on Internet it's a latent defect (glue problem) but Apple refuse to recognize it. I live in France and the European Union rules said that warrantly should be ended 2 years after the purchase date for latent defect. It instructed me to do it as a new phone and then do a buckup. So I set it up as a new phone.3) Updated firmware on 4s4) Restored phone to my iPhone 5 backup. Now everything went well except Im missing some apps. So I have 2 questions: Q1) What apps come with the Iphone 4s, what I cant get out of the app store? Q2) How do I get them back? iPhone 5 not holding proper LTE signal Sprint
So I've been reading a little bit about some issues with people's iPhone 5's not properly connecting to LTE on Verizon, but I was wondering if the same issues were with Sprint users as well. I called Sprint the other day (local store and Sprint National Hotline (*2)). Both of these sources said that they hadn't shown any problems with the LTE on any of the towers in my area, and this is in a very strong LTE coverage area. Is it hardware within the phone or an issue with the network? I've tried the cellular network update multiple times.... Thanks!

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find the complete description of all the individual data presented in Field Test Mode on an iPhone (via dialing *3001#12345#*)? Yup, I know what the basic decible strength means, but looking to interpret all of the other details. My goal is to find the ideal configuration for a cellular frequency booster/repeater directional antenna and am getting some odd readings so far. The fact that I am in a mountain rural area and have scarce access to two competing cellular towers miles away complicates the task. Major iPhone 5 issues Help
I've had my iPhone since release date. Everything has been working great up until about a week ago. The phone has an amazing battery life, I guess an update fixed that for me. But now my iPhone will reset itself out of no where 3-4 times a day at random times. The keyboard will get stuck on the screen after entering something and clicking done. Also the iPhone will freeze (I've tried leaving it for as long as a half an hour) and be totally unresponsive. I usually have to use the sleep/wake button in combination with the home button just to reset the phone so it works. It also randomly drops and won't connect to my home wifi at all, I also have a iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S and all of these work flawless with zero problems on my wifi network. My warranty is out in September, but I'm worried about going to an apple genius and having them ask me to re create the problem. What if it doesn't happen at that time? What can I do?
Install backup won't work because operating system isn't up to date iPhone 4
I have two iPhones, one for myself and one for my wife. My wife's phone was having problems so Apple kindly provided me with a new phone. When I got it home and tried to install the backup, iTunes wouldn't let me. It said the operating system wasn't up to date and I would have to set it up as a new phone. I did this and now my wife's new phone seems to think it is my phone and I don't see any way of installing the backup of her previous phone. Any ideas?

Pls have this to pay attention for. If this is a hardware problem, what must be done to repair it? If that's a bug, when shall A.guys have a fix for that.BTW, may that be a problem actually linked to Bluetooth connectivity in the first turn? Bluetooth connectivity option is constantly "trying to determine it's state" (BT option setting shows "busy" running circle instead of on/off state), and after it finally gets to off state there appears to happen some change to wifi option behavior. Once it had even started back for an hour, but fell back to disabled soon afterwards.At least both these problems appeared together at the same time.All possible resets, firmware restores and 6.0.1 did not fix that. Shall I need to jailbreak the OS to fix it? And btw, the whole situation already ran a lot of people into high spendings for their 2g/3G overwhelming cellular data traffic. Apple to apologize for that at least? Or shall there be iPhone 6 and the problem would remain unfixed and unnoticed?

I'm new to the iphone; I switched from android. I'm trying to find a data app similar to what I used on my old phone. It would show me the data amount, allow me to put in the data limit and start date. It would also show me the apps that were using the data. The app was Onavo count I think. I tried the iphone version and its not the same. It wants me to set up a VPN?-is that safe? I just want a good data app that is accurate and allows me put in my data limit and start date -bill cycle date. Is there an app free or paid; free hopefully that will do that? Can I replace everything on my Iphone 4 with things from my stolen Iphone 5
My Iphone 5 was stolen, but I have an old Iphone 4, which I've reactivated. I write music, and I use my Notes app to store my lyrics in, and I really need access to the Notes on the Iphone 5 that were stolen because I'm not done with few things. In other words, I want to erase everything from my Iphone 4, and replace it with stuff from my Iphone 5. I've backed up the Iphone 5 recently before it was stolen, so if everything were to be on the old one, it would be up to date.
iphone 5 64gb delay before unlock screen appears
hi.. im newb.. my missus & me just got 2 iphone 5 64gb, all up to date with ios and we both get the same problem. hopefully i can explain it properly. after u hit the button on the top when ur not using the phone and then come back later to use it, you press round button, sometimes nothing happens sometimes and it takes anywhere from 30 secs to a few minutes before it shows the slide to unlock screen. it doesnt happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. ive restarted a few times and this doesnt seem to have any effect. now my messages are doing the same thing - it hangs on a blank blue screen. my partner suggested it could be because its 64gb? either way, my phone is empty, like 50gb free. Any help would be appreciated. I use my phone for work & its annoying when u need to show someone a photo or something and right just then ur phone decides to go on vacation.....

cellular problems iPhone 5
Im using LTE and the speed 2mb/s that slow but when i go to places that not support LTE it appear 3g and the speed 10-16 mb/s im confused some says LTE is the best and better then 3g but when i do test that what happen it appear 3g better LTE or my LTE is not working well ? Hi there! I have apps installed on my iPhone that say they're passbook enabled, however, if I launch passbook the only pass there is my Starbucks card. I have the Discover Card app, the Apple Store app and Fandango and all are up to date. How do I add these Passbook enabled apps to Passbook? Thanks!
I can't receive MMS messages can't access APN settings iPhone 4
Hi there, I'm from the UK and have an iPhone 4, 6.1.3, on T-mobile, and I can't seem to receive MMS messages. I've looked online for a solution and people have mentioned the need to change APN settings, which I understand you access through the 'cellular data network' tab in the settings menu, but this tab is not showing up on my iPhone. With this being the case, how can I go about enabling MMS on my iPhone? This is driving me nuts at the moment, any help at all would be extremely appreciated. Thanks, Joe

iPhone 4S won't charge in wall charger will charge from PC USB
Suddenly, about a week ago, shortly after I upgraded to iOS 6.1.3 my iPhone 4S will no longer charge from any AC chargers, but still charges from the USB port in my laptops and work desktop. I have 5 or 6 wall chargers both Apple and other brands it won’t charge from any of them. They work fine charging my wife’s iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 and iPad 4. I have seen others post about this problem but there are no fixes posted to date.

Huge data usage on iOS 6.1.2 with carrier COSMOTE in Greece on iPhone 5
I recently purchased a new iPhone 5 and it seems that I have managed to chew up 6,5 GB of cellular Data in 7 days of owning it, while spending 80% of my time in WiFi locations (at home or in my office). I usually use around 500MB - 750 MB per month so I am extremely concerned. I contacted my carrier but they said that as I have only recently been added to my price plan they cannot see how much data I have really used until my first bill is printed...In addition their 80% usage warning when you have consumed more than 80% of your data plan doesnt work either because as they stated the system gets confused?!?!. They also told me to switch off cellular Data as the iPhone 5 will use it when on Wifi...Whats the story on iPhone 5 using cellular data even when on Wifi????? Considering I am about to incur a 450 euro bill for the extra data usage, I would like to know if this a software fault (i.e. iCloud synching being stupid and using cellular data instead of wifi), a carrier settings fault, or simply a cellular Data counter fault. For other users of the iPhone 5 phone on COSMOTE in Greece using LTE BEWARE! As they have no idea what is going on with this.
