Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iPhone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to iTunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iPhone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. A couple of days ago I found what seems to be water damage under my iPhone 5 screen although to my knowledge it has not been near water. The phone is fully working and the water damage indicator is still white. If I send this off to Apple and they deem it to be water damage and say they're charging me, is it worth appealing?

Screen display problems LCD iPhone 5
I bought an iPhone 5 six months ago from Roger's Wireless and I also paid for the application of a screen protector, for a long time both of these worked very well and I had no problems. The other day I put my iPhone into my locker at work and came back a few hours later to find that two spots had appeared on the display. One was near the top of the screen and it looked like a dis-colored splotch while the other one, that was near the bottom of the screen, looked like someone tried to scratch the screen with a dull object . When I turn off the display and examined the outside of the phone there is no scratches or any other physical damage to the phone, I think it may have something to do with the LCD screen. Also, my locker was locked so I know no one was fooling around with it although humidity or something could have played a factor but I'm not entirely sure. The spots are relatively small but pretty annoying, before this my iPhone was in perfect shape . I'm not sure if I am covered by the one year warranty because my phone may have water damage (although I am not sure). I remember a few months back dropping it into a deep pile of snow and when I took it out it was pretty wet, but still continuted to work perfectly find. Regardless, I'm pretty sure thats accident caused the water damage indicators in my phone to be set off . I looked all over the internet and there is different ways of taking off the actual LCD screen and replacing it yourself but I think I would much rather get this done by a professional. I have also heard that the spots may go away eventually. I am not sure if I am going to send my phone in right away but any help at all would be awesome. Thanks!

I have an iPhone 4S and my voulme just randomly stopped working. I checked my settings again and it only makes sounds when someone calls my cell. When I try to see what level the ringer is on it shows no bars or anything. Any ideas, I tried restarting it. Nothing works just happened randomly today. Any advise?

Hello, and thank you for reading. I have an iPhone 4s, and my primary email account is Gmail. I can receive emails, but I can't send them. When I try to click on the little pen icon to write an email, the app crashes/quits and I'm sent back to the homescreen. I saw that most people who can't send email receive an error message, but I've never received an error message, the app just stops. I checked in the Settings, and every thing seems to be in order (I'm not extremely tech savvy, so I could be wrong). I started to experience this problem maybe a week ago. Also, my Messages app can be a little sketchy sometimes too. When I'm connected to Wifi and trying to send an iMessage, the message won't send and there will be a little red exclamation point next to the message. My Messages app works sometimes, but do you all think that the problems are linked somehow? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I'm out of the office a lot, and it's an inconvinecne that I can't send emails while I'm on the road. I mean, that's why we buy an iPhone, right? I'm wondering if there's any way I can check what the capacity of my iPhone 5's battery is compared to its original capacity. I know Apple will replace the battery for free if it is under 50% of the original capacity since it's still covered under the one-year warranty but I'd rather know that's the case before I send it in and go without a phone for a week.

Hello, this is my first time on a forum like this so I don't really know what to expect but basically the reason why I am here today is because of the fact that my iPhone's battery is excuse my french, dog s***. I'm 16 years old almost 17 and I haven't had any problems with my other iPhone's before (iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S) I charge it at 100% in the morning, so I leave it all night from 1% the previous night and then I get up and without even using it, it's at 95% already. Now the thing you're going to say is have you tried: Turning off 3G/LTE - YESTurning off Wi-Fi - YESBluetooth - YESLocation Service's - YESPush Email - YESMessing with the brightness - YESRe-setting the phone several times (LOL) - YES I honestly don't see why it is draining this much, I have like 10 apps and all of them are ones that don't send much data, nor recieve much. iPhone 5 Audio Port Issue
When I'm in my car listening to music from my phone with an audio jack it sounds great. But when I plug it in to charge at the same time you get a loud static noise. Does anyone have anything that might fix this? Also I think it's probably from the audio jack and the charging port being so close together.

vodafone issues iPhone 4S
Hi all, i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

How to create custom Ringtones m4r files from Songs in iTunes iPhone
Jakarta, 14 June 2013On Mac OS : 10.7.5 (Lion)On iTunes : 11.0.4Difficulty : intermediate - hard Assuming you know basic Ctrl+Click and Option+Drag... Full correct steps should be like this : 1) Select a favourite song in iTunes program to be made into Ringtone...-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------2) "Get Info" on that song name and make any 0:30 seconds portion of that song.... (specify "Start" & "Stop" time - under "Options" – to any 30-seconds duration and click OK)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------3) Right-click or Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Create AAC Version" to create an .m4a file...(when done iTunes will create a Chime)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------4) to locate the created .m4a file easily, Ctrl-Click again on same song name and select "Show in Finder" from the pop-up list...(iTunes will automatically point the folder location of the original .mp3 & the newly created .m4a files... keep this window open for later...)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------5) change the .m4a file to .m4r as suggested... (rename to whatever you like but you must change the extension to .m4r)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------6) At this point, the m4r(original) file isn't a "Ringtone" file yet... which we'll need to change now...) (check under "Get Info" > "Kind" : it's still "Apple MPEG-4 Audio")...1st by dragging that newly changed .m4r(ori) file to somewhere out of that same default folder it was created by iTunes... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------{ this is where most confusions occur, take note here, it gets rather complicated }-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------7) Once it's outside of that folder, Double Click the m4r(ori) file and iTunes will play...(u can stop it immediately...) this is just to let iTunes automatically convert that m4r(ori) file into a new duplicate & places it inside the initial default folder where the original .mp3 file is kept... we kept the window open previously, remember? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------8) Locate that duplicate .m4r(new & true) file, in that same .mp3 folder and now DUPLICATE-Drag (press Option while dragging to get the "+" sign) it to the "TONES" folder in your default apple folder structure. (check under "Get Info", this .m4r(new) File's "Kind" should be "Ringtone")//to get to that "TONES" Folder : First Locate your iTunes default Music Folder in your Mac --> usually it's in your Default "MUSIC" folder --> Navigate to "iTunes Media" --> Navigate to "Tones". !! Keep this window open to make the transfer manually !!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------9) Once your duplicate is placed inside the "Tones" folder, double-click on that duplicate .m4r(true) file and let iTunes play, it should automatically place that ringtone file into the "Ringtone" sidebar List in the iTunes program... (check program to see) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------Somehow u needed both duplicates : 1 – inside the default initial .mp3 folder & 1 – inside the Tones Folder which we Duplicate+Drag into... and both must be "Ringtone" – Kind... for this to work.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------10) There you go. Now you can Sync / Delete / Add the whole Ringtone contents to your iPhone as you wish. //Don't forget to set SYNC ON under the iphone "Tones" tab in your iTunes - iPhone screen... and click big SYNC button at the bottom of iTunes program & wait for the magic.( Finally you can check inside your iPhone "sounds" settings and hopefully if all steps done correctly, the bloodycomplicatedringtone selection will be there. I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iPhone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results. I have problem with my iphone4, the speaker volume of my iphone is decreased dnt know how but when i play songs and also ringtones to output audio sounds very low. Although the speaker volume is set to maximum but still the output is not accordingly. Speaker volume is to small. Please help me.

Hi all.Had my iPhone 4s for about a year. For the last few days I've had to turn it off and turn back on in order to make or receive phone calls (Call Failed message). It then works fine for a while. Receive texts (telling me I've missed a call), send texts, connect to internet etc no problem.Any ideas?

I have been having trouble with my iPhone - sudden decrease in battery life, apps not working, Wifi not working, iCloud not working (don't ask me why, but when I go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and back up, the toggle is off and greyed out, giving me no option to turn it on). I was advised to back the iPhone up on my mac, reset the iPhone to factory settings and then restore it from the Mac. So, all my apps have come over, but none of my contacts, SMS's, nothing. I can probably live without the SMS's but it will take me a long time to re-enter all my contacts. However, they are all still in the Mac. But I can't work out how to get the Mac to send the addresses back to the iPhone. As previously stated, the iCloud doesn't work, so I can't use that. I looked through previous entries and the advice was: Open iTunes. Connect the iPhone. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Info tab in the main window. Check the Contacts box then sync. However, when I do this it say in contacts "your contacts are being synched with your iPhone over the air, over-the-air sync settings can be changed on the iPhone" But I don't want them synched over the air, because over the air (I assume this is iCloud) isn't working. How do I set it (either iTunes or the iPhone) so that it synches, via USB cable, with the contacts on my Mac? I am totally, utterly confused and a bit cross as I am now worse off then before I reset the phone and was told that it would just back up from the computer. And even more annoyed when I know the data I want is all still there (on the Mac in address book), I just can't drag it across.

I recently got the iPhone 5 from Tmobile. It's my first iPhone and I've been enjoying the features very much. The only problem I've noticed, and it's rather annoying, is a 4-5 second speech delay. I called Tmobile and had them send me a new one, hoping this was simply a defect of the particular phone. But I've just set up my new iPhone and it has the same problem. I've spoken to numerous people on Verizon, Tmobile, Sprint, AT&T, and landlines and have experienced this problem with each conversation. I have done this is different areas of my home as well as different areas around town with the same results.I've had many of them repeat words or phrases after I've finished speaking and the delay is always 4 or 5 seconds. Because of this, conversation is difficult. There is a lot of speaking at the same time due to this delay and I find it very frustrating. Before I call Tmobile about this phone, I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this issue. Is it a tmobile problem or an iPhone problem.

I just got my iPhone 3 months ago, brand new. First, it gave me problems because the lock button stopped working, (an issue I was told by a genius that I would have to pay for because I couldn't drive an hour a way at 16 years old to get to the closest Apple Store), and now it isn't sending text messages to anyone that doesn't have an iDevice. I am so done with this iPhone, it's only been three months and I'm DYING to get a droid. Please, help me figure out how to receive & send regular text messages at least until I can save enough to buy a phone that works.
Battery losing it's mind iPhone 4S
Hello, my wife's iPhone 4S seems to be losing its mind. It will show 60% battery then less than an hour later its down to 1%. Now, ordinarily I would say this is just a battery incapable of holding a charge, but it seems like this might be something else. When we plug the phone in, it almost instantly will jump to 20-30% charged. We've tried doing a full wipe/restore through iTunes, but that resulted in no changes. I'd take it to the Apple Store and ask for a battery repair (really, just a swap for a different refurb I assume) and pay the $80. However, looking online it sounds like Apple wont do this for any phones showing signs of damage. This makes sense, since they dont want people just swapping out busted phones for pristine refurbs. Well, the wife's phone has a single hairline crack in the front glass. It happened shortly after purchase and has never impacted performance. We didnt have the foresight to purchase accidental damage protection coverage... Its a small crack and my wife didnt want to hassle with trying to send it in for repair. Sure wish we had now... Not sure what to do at this point. Suggestions? Thanks Eric

(stupidly) It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money) Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Need to change back glass iPhone 4S
I recently bought a new iPhone 4s from Virgin mobile, and have cracked the back glass. I purchased the warranty that covers broken glass and cracked screens and whatnot, but my boyfirend knows how to change the glass professionally, and it would be less of a hassle for him to do it then for apple to send me a whole new phone. But, if he does change the back glass out, will this void the warranty I paid for? Also, if I do get a new phone from apple, lets say that one breaks too, would they replace it again if it was within the year? Thanks!
Can't get phone to turn back on iPhone 4S
I was trying to download music on ITunes and my phone was plugged into the computer, then something popped up asking if I wanted to download a new software and I did. It downloaded and then my phone turned off. It won't turn back on but the screen has a picture of an auxiliary chord and an arrow pointing towards the ITunes icon. So I plugged it back into ITunes and it still won't turn on and that picture won't go away either. I have tried holding down the lock button & home button at the same time for 10 seconds but that didnt do anything either. I have no idea how to get it back on. PLEASE HELP

Messaging problems iPhone
When I receive a text on my iphone, it will show that one message an not the rest of the conversation and freeze where I cannot send any messages. I also says I haven't opened the message. I've tried deleting the conversation and it just reappears. I can eventually get it to start working, but it just happens again and is getting more frequent. Any help?
