I bought an iPhone 4 locked to Orange UK why can't it be unlocked
I contacted Orange UK and they said that this iPhone4 is ready to be unlocked, but they can't unlock the phone because I am not the original contract owner. Why can't Apple unlock this phone, because the original owner doesn't care and has sold it? As far as I understand, I am one of at least 3 owners for this phone. I guess there could be more. I just wanted to have a normal iPhone, why can't Apple help on this issue? I have previously had many apple products, this is the first one I bought used adn just wanted to restore it to normal. Another thing is that 3rd party services can unlock it for 200$. What is that they do to unlock it? Why can't apple make a small comission for unlcoking iPhones instead. People find ways to cheat and ripoff people who doesn't deserve to pay extra for the phone they bought. Package and product number differ iPhone 5
I bought the iPhone 5 from Star One Mobile in Sim Lim Square Singpore recently. After reaching my place , just found that the serial number and imei number in my iPhone 5 product and the packaging box are different. When I check on the website the packaging number shows the product is replaced but the number in product shows valid. Can some one explain the difference?I did not anticipate an Apple product having a difference in serial and imei number from the packaging --- probable that the Star one mobile could have changed the package?

hey! i upgraded to an iphone 5 in october 2012. ive always had the iphones and never had a problem with them before. however, this phone has decided it no longer wants to charge, at first i thought it was the usb so i brought a new one for it. but it didnt charge it either. i have tried using different sockets ive even used my dockinstation but nothing works. the phone is all up to date and shows a message stating 'this accessory is not meant for charging' , anyone else having the same problem?

Folks, I am getting confusing information from various sources.According to the service I am using for factory unlocking my Iphone 5, as soon as I unlock my phone I will be able to use it on all GSM networks, except the original ATT. This is contrary to all the previous unlocks I have ever done on any phone. What is the reason why my phone will no longer work on ATT, if true? Following the most recent ios version update, my iPhone 5 completely crapped out and had that little usb symbol on the screen. I called Apple...they walked me through transferring all my almost 3000 photos/videos to my computer (obviously not able to do through iTunes/iCloud when my phone wasn't functioning). I asked if everything else (about 250 apps...no music) would be in the most recent cloud backup which was only a couple hours before the phone crapped out. They said yes. I did the restore and only about 30 of my 250ish apps restored! I never saw all my apps in my iTunes for some reason and all the apps that I can see in my iTunes have been restored. I wasn't at capacity for iCloud storage either because it happened a couple months ago and I bought more storage space. I've only been an iPhone user since Dec 2012 so PLEASE HELP if you can and let me know if there is anymore inof you need from me to help me troubleshoot. PS=I use a good 30-40 of those apps while I'm running experiential marketing campaigns in the field...one of which is a HUGE campaign I'm managing starting tomorrow. Hello, I've had my iPhone 4S since July 2012 and am currently on a 2 year contract with EE in the UK. I've been having a problem for about a week now that came to my attention about last Friday. Basically whenever I dial a number and someone picks up the phone and I begin talking, nobody can hear me? They won't hear me say anything and will simply hang up, I've recalled this happening to several people but I wasn't sure if there was a genuine fix or whether it merited getting a new handset? I've considered taking to direct to EE because the nearest Apple Store is in Manchester, and I only want to travel there if I have good reason to. Is there any known fix for this? i have tried resetting my phone by holding both buttons but have yet to do a full restore (Last resort) Just wondering if anyone knows? -Matt

Hi All, So I have disbled my iPhone 4s by forgetting my passcode (like it seems many other people do!). Also as the phone went dead as I was away for the weekend the SIM is also locked. I have often backed it up to iCloud but I never had the camera roll back up option ticked as I cannot see it when I sign into iCloud. I dont have iTunes on my laptop or access to the original iTunes where it was synced a year and a half ago. My question is can I get the phone unlocked by Apple? ( I have the imei number and proof of purchase) Is there any way of keeping or getting my photos/videos and messages? When I had my phone plugged into the laptop and was clicking backup through wifi will this have also backed up my photos? Thanks!

iPhone won't sync with iTunes iPhone 5
Hi my iPhone won't sync with iTunes over wifi. When I plug if in with the USB cable it shows up then disappears in iTunes. It also sometimes won't charge. I have to keep plugging it and unplugging it until it charges. I thought it was the cable but that doesn't explain not syncing over wifi. But the Horror was when i reached the Zain Telecom store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I was told by them that Apple has refused to take Any Iphone exibiting Scuffing or Scratches as this renders the iphone out of warranty. It just Dosnt make any Sense when Senior Apple SVP for Marketting Phill Schiller Him self on 25 Septeber 2012 in an email to an apple user have acknowledged that this kind of scuffing is natural to any aluminium product. I would like some one from Apple to Respond to this issue of mine and give me a solution. The worst part is there no authorised service in the country. Replacement of iPhone 4
I purchased an I Phone 4 in Dec 2012. Since then the phone has been replaced 3 times due to variuos issues like screen flickering, applications crashing etc. However, the issue still remains. The said issue has been escalated by the concerned person at the Authorised Service Station of Apple to higher authorities. In a situation like this where an issue is not resolved even after replacing the device 3 times, whether Apple will refund the purchase price of the phone or will upgrade me to the latest technology available in the Market ie an I Phone 5?

7 different faults-it hardware failure iPhone 4S
I've had my 4S since January 2012. All was well for about a year, and then the fun began.1) When the weather got colder (Less than five or six degrees), the phone would suddenly claim to have a flat battery, and turned itself off. Plugging in an external battery pack brought it back to life. Taking it back inside a warm building would bring it back to life again. 2) About twice a month, it crashes, and wipes all my contacts/calendar data. I started backing up to iCloud, so then it would restore from there, but muddle my contacts' photos up.3) It refuses to sync with iTunes. It says there's not enough memory. Sometimes on the phone, sometimes on my PC.4) At least once a day, it loses the ability to join any mobile network. Turning it off and on again usually allows it to rejoin my network (T Mobile).5) Instead of T Mobile, it randomly likes to show my operator name as 000-0000.6) It helpfully closes all my Safari tabs if I minimise Safari and use another app.7) The GPS is failing, which is a real nuisance because I use Nike+ for my daily jog. T Mobile's tech help were not very much help as soon as they realised I'd had the phone for over a year, and was therefore no longer covered by their warranty. They reckoned it was a hardware failure. I've purchased Apple Care today, and booked a Genius Bar appointment for Friday. Does anyone have experience of any of these problems?
Ridiculous store iPhone 4S
I got my very first iPhone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iPhone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! This is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a Samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(

I have a new I phone 5 running latest version of OS6. Since I purchased the phone. I have not been able to recieve calls through my bluetooth on my Handsfree link in my 2012 Acura TSX. I was having intermittent problems with the Iphone 4. I can link the phone ok, but when I get a call, I can hear the caller fine, but apparently all they hear is noise like a vacuum cleaner. I thought it was my system, but Acura says it is the Phone and that Apple is aware of the problem. Does anyone know if Apple is going to fix this? Basically you can't use the phone in the car!

So I had AT&T and bought the iPhone 5 from them, on contract, back on December 15 2012. I wanted to save money and have Unlimited Data so I paid an Early Termination Fee to cancel my contract, got my unlock from them, and moved to T-Mobile prepaid $60 plan/mo. So I get Edge coverage, or 3G wherever their reframed 1900 network is. BUT now T-Mobile has their own iPhone that is LTE-enabled, and has the 1700/2100 AWS bands, for 4G/LTE in most places! Can I get my model replaced with this model?? If so, how? It has the same model number as mine but people are referring to it as the "GSM 2013 model".

Hi All, My brother had gifted me an iphone 6 months back. He had bought this phone from Dubai. It was unlock phone when he bought it from shop.Recently there was some problem so i have asked my brother to show this phone in apple service center.
