Sending the phone via mail costs me around $250 or more both ways. Please help.

iphone 5 connected to USB gives shock when touched to ear to speak

I usually charge my iphone5 with usb connected to laptop. past few days, i got a call while charging the phone with usb. I raised the phone to speak, as soon as it touched left ear, I got a decent electric shock. The shock was pretty powerful. I ignored it first time, but after that, the same happened about 5-6 times. Now I do not speak while connected to usb. But I think this is not a normal behaviour of an iphone since other phones do not shock the user. Can someone help me?

Hi, I am new to this forum so i apologise in advance for not following any rules thats set. I have a iphone 5, 16 GB for 6 months and for the past month or so i've been having issues with the microphone.     1. During a call if i want to use loudspeaker the mic cuts out so the person on the other end can not hear what i am saying, yet while during a call off loudspeaker          they can hear me fine.     2. Siri can not detect anything i say or any noise what so ever when i try to use siri, but can when using a headset.     3. When trying to use voice to text in messages no speech is detected. When using a headset under all three of these, they work fine, calling someone works fine aslong as i don't use loudspeaker.i have tried to restore the phone to see if this corrects the problems but no luck. The firmware version is 6.1.4, on EE 4G. Any help with this is appriciated. Tyler.

URGENT HELP iphone 4S

Last night i went on my phone to make a phone call but all my contacts were somehow deleted i tried turning off my iphone and then turning it on but still had the same problem. I dont know what to do i had icloud but never used the backup for it infact i had not signed in to it till the next day. I somehow managed to get a few of my contacts back through my messages. There were many important numbers in there. To top it off the most important thing to me was all my information on my calender list like my appointments, and many other important events. I do not know hot to retreive it if anyone could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you

I found an app that provides a call confirmation without jailbreaking the phone called "Group Contact." in settings, if you turn 'return to the app after phone call" on, you get the message "you will be alerted before making the call, and the app will be re-opened after the call." Before every call, a call confirmation is delivered, which solves my problem perfectly!

iphone 4 on t-mobile full signal but wont makereceive calls

Please help - My iphone 4 intermittently stops making and receiving calls/texts without warning, the phone will have a full signal and could be anywhere in the country but when you try to make a call it won't do it. If you then ring the phone it is as if it is turned off, if you then turn the phone off then on again it works perfectly well until the next time which might be in days or hours. T -Mobile talked me through a reset but this has not worked and Apple want a fee to help further as the phone is 22 months old, it is however little used and still looks new. Any help appreciated

What can I with my broken iphone mic

I purchased my iphone 4 while living in Hong Kong. I am now back in the UK and the phone has deveoped a problem where the mic cuts out during calls and the person I'm on the phone to can't hear me. I took the phone to the apple shop here and the girl told me that she would have given me a replacement but she can't because the phone is slightly different than the UK (european) model of the iphone 4. She then told me to call apple care and explain to them over the phone.  I called apple care and an american woman said she can't give me support unless I pay £25 but will email me instructions on reseting the phone, I told her reseting won't make a difference as the mic problem is a common one with iphone 4's and I've read it's a hardware problem. So anyways I reset my phone and nothing changed. I'm stuck in limbo right now and dunno what to do, does anyone have any suggestions? I think I'll get a galaxy when my contract is up this year.

Crashing and screen flickering problems. iphone 4

I too have had the "flickering/flashing" screen problem...I received my first iphone 4 on release day (6/24); had no display issues until 3 days later, on 6/27. First occurred while on call in car; phone continued to work but display was black; had to do the two-button "hard restart" method to reboot phone. I was away on vacation for a week (not near an Apple Store), and phone continued to have this issue at least once/day. It could be on any screen or app...had it occur on calendar, a game, the home screen, etc. It would begin flashing ~8 times, then go to a "lit up black" (not off but slightly and evenly lit up black). Sometimes it would be 75% black, w/ a whiter "band" across the top 25% of the display.I discovered that sometimes if I quickly hit the button on top while it was still flashing, I could "save it."I have videoed this (using my 3GS phone...now my wife's) a few times, and it also did it at the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store last Friday (7/9) when I returned it. They saw it in-person, and watched one of my videos, and promptly gave me a replacement phone.However, the NEXT day, 7/10, my replacement iphone 4 has started to do a similar thing...no "flashing/flickering", just goes to the "lighter black" screen. First occurred when trying to open the calendar. I contacted Tech support and spoke to someone at Apple for ~1 hour, who said there have been NO reported display issues from others, and thought it perhaps was due to a corrupt "Restore from backup" file. She suggested that I do a regular restore (not from backup), but I have hesitated to do so yet, instead looking/waiting to see if others have had this issue, as I don't want to lose contact, texting & calendar info.She also said it was not good to perform the "hard restart" (two button) function very much... I eventually have tried the "slide to power off" across the top of the black screen, and phone turned off and could restart with just the single (upper) button. So the phone is ON...just display isn't...I am an AVID iphone user (have had the 2G, 3GS and now 4 model) for 2 1/2 years, and this won't make me "switch"...I just want it FIXED..!

Hi there, I've suffering from a call receving problem which is - Example -  I have a contact saved at my phone "Mr. A" - 01619001234 [country code not present]But when i got call then it comes for - +88 01619001234, so its not showing Mr. A is calling. There are some numbers on my contact which contains country code (+88) and some of them not. Ringer not working iphone 4S

When a call or text is coming throug there is no sound. The settings seem fine. When I switch the side button to red nothing happens. What used to happen would be the bell sign would come up with a line through it indicating the ringer was switched off but now nothing happens whichever way I switch it. Vibrate is switched on in settings but it isn't vibrating either. Interestingly the alarm is working so the sounds are not completely gone.  I have powered it off an back on etc., but it hasn't made any difference. Any advice. Thanks Paula

My iphone 5 recently started having problems with the ringer.  The ringer will be turned all the way up, the mute button is NOT being used and the phone will not ring for calls or alert for texts.  It is not always happening, but more so than not.  I have tried rebooting the phone, the OIS is up to date and I do not have the "Do Not Disturb" set.  I can be in the same spot with LTE and full signal have a call/text that is missed then receive a call/text and it rings.  Does not seem to matter if the call is coming from a land line, same Verizon carrier cell or different carrier cell there is no noticable reason.  Any ideas???

So last night I was talking via speaker phone and suddenly noticed that the sound quality was horrible.  It was extremely grainy and scratchy sounding.  At first I thought it was just something with the call quality so I turned off the speaker and talked on the phone normally.  Later I got an e-mail and noticed that the tone that it made also sounded scratchy.  So I tried playing a song through the iphone speaker and sure enough that was awful too.   I know it's the internal speaker because the music played fine through headphones.  Has anyone experienced this before?  If so, how did you go about fixing it? Thank you!

iphone 5 Frequently Crashes to Apple Logo and Screen Lock

I have an iphone 5 64 GB running iOS 6.1.4 on AT&T. Over the past ~ three days, have noted that the iphone randomly "crashes".  Could be when I am using an app.  Could be when I am making a phone call.  Could be when it is simply connected to the power cord and haven't touched it at all. The cycle is as follows: Screen suddenly goes blankThe white Apple logo (which typicaly appears during boot-up) appears for 3 - 5 secondsI hear the "chirp" that normally sounds at the end of boot-upThe iphone lock lock screen then appears Sometimes, when the phone emerges from lock screen, the brightness is about half of what it was prior. I have not been able to isolate this behavior to a specific set of circumstances.  When it occurs during a phone call, the call is interrupted / other party is silenced, but if I swipe at lock screen, the call resumes (the other party notes that I went silent during duration). I have re-started / re-booted the iphone 15 times.  I have cleared all apps from the cache.  I have disabled all notifications and location services.  I have done a Reset All Settings on iphone and restored from iCloud.  I have done a Restore from iTunes.  The problem continues. I would say that this crash cycle occurs about every 30 - 60 minutes.  As noted, many times when I'm not even touching / using the iphone. Have also noted that when not connected to power supply, the iphone is quite warm, and battery drain is at an accelerated rate of 3x to 4x of "normal", worse than prior iOS 6 related battery issues.  Have also tried all the usual battery saving tricks - wifi is off, GPS is off, EQ is off, etc. Any thoughts before I head to the Genius Bar? Thanks! TCF

MobileVOIP Skype not work after 6.1.4 iphone 5

Hi, I have an iphone 5. Sometimes I use the MobileVOIP app for Voip calls. After the 6.1.4 update the application does not send the audio to the speaker (both call speaker and external speaker). It seems that the application recognize the earphones also without plugging them or it is not able to reach the internal speaker. The application works good with earphones. Also trying with Skype, they don't work. Since the update focused on audio-problems, are there settings to solve this problem? Do any of you have the same problem? Thank You Roberto

I attempted to get the phone replaced by AT&T since it is within their 14-day Return/Exchange policy, but of course they denied me based on it being a "technical" issue and therefore a problem I need to take up with Apple. Google maps App Issue Blue Tooth for GMC Acadia- iphone 5

I'm having an issue with the our blue tooth which is paired with our GMC Acadia.  It's works fine with the exception of each time it gives directions vocally it repeats "call Ended" through the stereo system.....   It does this every single time the App gives vocal instructions. Apple Maps - No problem although I need to be connected via USB which the vehicle has.  Apple Maps is fine so I'm not sure why all the Hype about Google Maps for iOS. I am just courious if anyone has come across this issue with the Google Maps for iOS in a vehicle.

light bleeding iphone 5

Do not buy Apple product in Belgium, there is no support!!! So, here it goes: Three day ago I bought an iphone 5, at a Mobistar shop in Belgium. 700 euros. Unfortunaly, it has a defective screen, light bleeding at the top of the screen. So I went back to the shop, to get an exchange. But no, they refused. They have to send it back to Apple for repair. It will take three weeks. But I can't stay 3 weeks without a phone. And I can't just pop the sim card into an old phone, either: it's a micro-sim, and the iphone is the only one who uses that... Except maybe if I buy another new, top of the line phone... And I don't have the money to do that... So I call Apple, directly: "Did you buy it on our website? Sorry, nothing we can do. You have to go through the operator." So basically, I am screwed. My phone volume is very low only for calls. I use the Voxer walkie talkie app and the ear piece volume is loud, but as soon as I make a call or listen to a voice mail, the volume is near mute as max volume. Any solutions?!

iphone 4s 6.1.3 problems with 3g In and Outgoing Calls

Hi Everybody!I got a factory unlocked (originally was Vodafon locked) iphone 4s with firmware 6.1.3.When I insert my sim (Hungarian Telenor) when only EDGE is on it founds the signal and seems like everything is working.After a few hours or sometimes even a day passes by a phone stays on full signal with Carrier logo and Edge on, but my friends reporting that they cant call me(like im offline) and i cant make calls either.The interresting stuff is that the Edge connection is fully working during that im offline for my friends via Calls and i can send and recieve imessages and viber messages.When i switch 3g on it disconnects from service drops the EDGE and never finds the way back and stays 'searching' or 'no service' at all.. I thought that its my Carrier's fault so i went to spoke with them and tried 5different micro Sims( cause i wrote that 4s-s are sensitive to SIM card types).. this thing not worked either, Then i tried the phone with a T-mobile SIM card.. it does the same..connects to the services,but with 3g switched on not finding service..so totally like with my sim. Here Comes the bumm... i Tried the phone with vodafone sim and everything works.. simple connectivity to 3g with full internet usage,can make and recieve calls...I spoked with all of the Carriers and also Apple and no body can give me nothing..the phone is off varranty so changed to a new one isnt an option..Anybody? Something? im beginning to give up .. please help if you can..Thanks!!   ps.:i restored over 20times,reset network settings,switch off and on automatic setting time.. every little possible things that people wrote on forums before..

I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

Suddenly i realised my external speakers were not working. i havent backed up data for more than 5 weeks so i decided to update my iOS from 6.1.2. I have an iphone 5... I cannot make calls or receive calls. I reset network settings and  I have reset the SIMS card and I am still having the same problem.  My husband is on the same cell service as I am and he is not having any problems.    When I try to make a call - it goes directly to call ended - when people try to call me it goes directly to my voice mail. on the left hand side at the top all it says is seraching - my wifi is connected... i also keep getting NO Service..  Can anyone help? Thanks

Can't hear just one person through my iphone 4

Okay, so lets see if this works. So I've had my iphone 4 for about a year and a half, I've never really had issues beside the normal glitching and having calls drop here and there. Recently I've had an issue with my iphone connecting with just one individual. Yes, I know it sounds weird but keep reading. I have been able to make calls and recieve phone calls fine, however I cannot with just one single individual. They to also only have the same problem with me, however the only difference is they can hear me but I cant hear them or anything. We're able to text and send picture messages without any issues. Now sometimes when I try to call them, itll ring twice and then the line just goes dead, but thats usually them picking it up. I cannnot hear them at all. I've already done the reset on my phone and I've already contacted apple about this issue and their about as lost as I am because it doesnt make sense that this is only happening with one individual. I've also blew out the speakers and such like people have suggested. I use my head phones that came with my speaker, and ive connected and reconnected them incase my iphone thought they were plugged in.  Let me give you a little bit more info. They have an android phone, we have the same carrier which is verizon and they live in another state (not sure if thats helpful). I'm completely lost because this has been going on for about 4 days now and its driving me crazy. This happened a few weeks ago, however it magically fixed its self ( im thinking it was because I had bad service). If anyone has any solutions that might help, please, please let me know.

Has had their phone replaced by apple due to bad charging port connection iphone 5

iphone 5 won't charge correctly. Only charges when I put pressure to one side on the connector. I know you're thinking "It's the cable or the wall adapter. It's not. I have 5 genuine apple lightning cables, happens with all of them whether plugged in to an ac outlet, USB on a pc, or in my car. This is my 3rd iphone 5 since my original purchase in October.  The other 2 phones failed with this exact problem. The last time, I took the non charging phone in to a Verizon store (no apple stores near me) and asked them if they had seen it before, they told me that my phone was the only one they ever seen with that issue. So they offered to call apple and ask if this is a known issue with iphone 5's, they also responded that they haven't seen this issue. Is this true? Am I the only one with this issue, for 3 phones in a row?? Seems unlikely. Anyway, I ask if anyone else has had this happen because if this is in fact something that happens often, I'm going to get a different phone. I love my iphone 5, but not enough to go through this every month or two.

My iphone 5 will not ring, it appears to be set to mute mode but can hear phone call but unable to go hands free, all sounds vibrate only!!!!!

way to bypass Siri when using bluetooth headset iphone 4S

Is there a way to bypass Siri when using a bluetooth headset to make a call? I press the call button on my headset (Plantronics M50), but I still must touch the Siri mike icon on the iphone 4S to verbally make the call.

Wake and sleep button not working iphone 5

Hi guys, I've used apple for 5 years now. Started with an iphone 3GS and since then I could not use any other brand as a Cel Phone, and I tried, believe me I tried. I used an iphone 4 for 3 years without having any problem, without having to even call Apple. Then, by the end of the last year I went to London for a trip. I bought an iphone 5 and came back to my home country, that is Brazil...Used it for 4 months or so and it started having problems with the wake and sleep button, then I thought, "ok, apple is a worldwide company, they are reliable, that's the main reason for me to have bought it for so long and the phone still in warranty, they will trade it for me" so I called apple...For the first time in 5 years...And I did not get answered properly. Apple states that since I bought the iphone in london, they warranty can only be used for trading the phone in london...I have no intentions of going to london this year, what meand I will lose my warranty and the money I spent with my iphone.  To clarify, I did go to Washington for a better support, but they stated the same...I called apple and they stated that the iphone is broken and needs to be traded but it can only be done in london. An analyst called James Downs told me to call apple regent street that's the one where I bought the iphone and when I called there for getting my money back because they are not providing the proper support for my iphone they state that I need to take the iphone to the store... End of the story, I have a broken iphone, I am frustrated with apple, because they are acting as they do not care for the costumer at all. In my point of view, they should escalate the problem, call the brazilian store and trade my phone or ship me a brand new one. I took the iphone to different stores in different countries that I have access and so far nothing. Apple does not care, my iphone is 4 months old and is already broken...If nothing is done I'll be very frustrated, I'll be at least ****** because it seems I'll not have my money back because the store states they will not do that even though an apple consultant says it and I have no way of taking the phone to the store. Please, can anybody from apple help me with that? I really want my phone or my money...If you can just ship me a new one I'll be ok with that..But you should do something, you are apple, not some other ****** company around the world, will you not honor your brand?

iphone 5. Talking into speaker verses normal while talking on phone

iphone 5. whenever I make a call or someone calls me I always need to put it on speaker phone. I cant talk to anyone while talking into the phone in normal mode. My phone is updated to 6.1.3 I need help!!
