Half of my iphone 5 broken.

I dropped my iphone 5 and the left hand of the screen isn't responding to touch and its dark, the glass is cracked but I was wondering what exactly is wrong with it like what parts may be messed up.

Apple recently replaced my broken iphone 4s with a new one. Everything was great, the backup on my computer worked and I had all mystuff from the day before it was replaced. However, when i plugged it in to add a few new songs, they didn't sync. In fact, my itunes never finshes a sync anymore, it just stops here for no reason. Any suggestions?

I reset my iphone on reset all settings and media and it just goes to the apple logo and then the buffering circle. Is there any other way than holding the home button and power button since my power buttons broken? Please and thanks.

Why no international warranty option for iphone 5

Why is there not an option available to extend the iphone warranty to an international warranty? Especially with a phone that you tend to take with you whenever you travel having to go to the country you bought it originally is a pain and sometimes not feasible. In my case : when I travelled from Hong Kong to a business trip in the Netherlands and then on to the US my iphone 5 got stolen at the airport in Hong Kong. luckily I only had a prepaid SIM for Hong Kong in the iphone so I went online and ordered a new simlock free  iphone 5 at the Dutch online Apple store to be delivered in Amsterdam a few days later. So far, so good. I am currently in China and my iphone 5 sleep button broke down. As I had to be in Hong Kong last week I thought I would stop by the Causeway Bay Apple Store after making a genius bar appointment. They checked the iphone 5 and confirmed the sleep button was broken and it would be swapped for a new one. However on checking my serial number they told me I had to go back to The Netherlands to get it fixed.... So here is a problem, I am not planning on being there any time soon. Why is it not possible in the global economy we live in to get an international warranty?  I called Apple Care and they suggested I could try in an Apple store in North Carolina where I am due in a few weeks, but they could not guarantee they would swap the phone. Now the end of July  I am due in the UK and from what I read now an iphone bought in any EU country could be swapped in another EU country. so that would mean I could swap it in London?  Very odd.  Always travel with my MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and these do have international warranty.

right my iphone 5 is fully functional nothing wong with the lcd part of the screen its just the outer glass has shattered. how much would apple charge me to fix this as for some reason my network providor did not sign me up for insurance when i got the phone bloody idiots! needless to say that really irritated me finding that out!!!

why isn't my iphone 5 charging

My iphone 5 doesnt want to charge. I plug it into the outlet or on my laptop but still doesnt charge. It shows the screen that it is charging but it stays like that for hours but still doesnt work. I have dropped it a couple of times when i first got it but it has been about three weeks since i have last dropped it. i sort of figured if it was because i dropped it, it would have stopped working that same week or so.

ok so if you have any iphone and your power is or isnt working and youve tried plugging it in and tried to use diffrent chargercables and tried anything thing else. then this is your last resortokay.i had a problem with mine and it just randomly shut off so i wasited the whole day to wait for the battery to diebut seemed like there was no prosses so i figured out this crazy idea.if you putyour phone in the freezer for about 10 min and then take it out then put it on the charger it should work.what putting your phone in the freezer does is drains the battery super fast so all you have to do when its over is charger it

iphone 4S Wifi slider not working

Hello everyone, I've recently got my WIFI slider greyed out. I was on a lower version than 6.1.3 before I got this issue, now after trying several resets and network resets and other stuff such as using the hair-dryer trick and freezer trick it didn't work. Now as I've seen in a tutorial on Apple it says you must go to Settings --> About --> Resets and then reset the network settings, but after doing that my Wifi-Adress stays with some numbers instead of N/A which other people gets, I still have a WIFI-Adress in it no matter if I reset my whole iphone or not. Airpot has always been off, when I'm in the menu of setting iphone up, it most likely skips the Find wifi part where you connects to your WIFI. The iphone it self has not even a scratch, I've not really dropped it before or anything, I've had it for some time now but not really got it damaged. So people, any ideas? It's running on IOS 6 6.1.3 now.

iphone 4 can't connect to carrier

I have an Iphone4 that was dropped in the water.  I took it apart and cleaned it with alcohol and everything is working..... except it will not connect to a carrier.  I can use the wifi but not it wont connect to any carrier.  Please help!!!  Is there a part I need to replace?  Thanks for any help you can give.

4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iphone 4

Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iphone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all.  So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iphone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? broken flex cable?

My iphone 5 been having trouble connecting to a cellular network.  The tech I spoke to said that my problem was covered under warranty, and I made arrangments to mail it off.  Of course I would drop it and the back glass around the camera cracked.  Does this void any type of repair that I was going to recieve? 

iphone 4 vibration wifi and calling will not function correctly

I have had my iphone 4 for 6 months now, and I have dropped it a couple of times, but a few days after I dropped it nothing happened. My first problem started in May when I noticed that my phone could not reach the wifi at home or other places quickly as it normally could and when I would go into other rooms I would lose the connection quickly.This made me have to use my 3g more often and I only have a limit of 300MB, I normally do not use it, because of the wifi i have around,but it is getting harder. 2-3 days ago I called the DATA (*3282#) in my phone and got 64.89 out of 300MB. I later used my 3G for awhile, so a day later i called DATA and the same number (64.89 out of 300MB) comes on again. I knew this was a mistake so I called it again and the same number shows up. I KNOW FOR SURE I USED MY 3G, so I dont know why this keeps popping up. Everything else channged (texting and calling) On top of that my vibration started to not work in early June and it's difficult for me to know when someone has texted or called. I have tried going into settings and choosing a different type of vibration, but it does not vibrate overall and yes it is turned on. My version right now is 6.1. Will upgrading help? Everything else works fine, but is there a way I can fix this or do I have to go the Apple Store? I'm also in AT&T.

What can I iphone 4

I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iphone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results. screen wont work on my iphone dropped phone and cracked and i can't sinc to itunes because i can't enter password iphone 5

I dropped my iphone, screen is cracked and wont display anything.  I want to back up phone before I take in and buy new one.  I can't sinc to itunes because it is stating that I need to unlock phone.  I obviously I can't.  Is there a way around this?

Brand New iphone 5 screen pressure sensitive

Hi Everyone!     I have a brand new iphone 5 (white if it matters) It has never been dropped, exposed to water or anything. Like I said it is brand new. I have probably only had it for a week or two now. When i lightly press the screen it is like the LED's behind the screen are being squished. (Same situation as listed below [link] except my screen is brand new and has NEVER been replaced.)  Should I take it to Apple or can I fix it at home. iphone 5 Screen won't turn on

A couple days ago, I dropped my iphone 5 in water. I put the phone in rice to dry out. After letting it sit in the rice for a couple days, I took it out. The phone works completely fine, I'm recieving calls and text messages, and I plugged the phone into the computer and it's at 60% battery. However, I can't access my phone. When I try turning it on, the screen is black, and it remains black. I've tried holding down the power button and the home button, but the Apple logo doesn't show up. How can I get the screen to start working again? I got my phone from Sprint, would I be able to take it into Apple and get help or would I have to go to Sprint?

I was just listening to music when I dropped my iphone 4s on to my floor. (It has an otterbox on it). After I picked it up, nothing would play through the headphones. I tried rebooting it, cleaning the headphone jack and I'm going to try to restore it. If this doesnt work any suggestions?

Battery losing it's mind iphone 4S

Hello, my wife's iphone 4S seems to be losing its mind.  It will show 60% battery then less than an hour later its down to 1%.  Now, ordinarily I would say this is just a battery incapable of holding a charge, but it seems like this might be something else.  When we plug the phone in, it almost instantly will jump to 20-30% charged.   We've tried doing a full wipe/restore through iTunes, but that resulted in no changes. I'd take it to the Apple Store and ask for a battery repair (really, just a swap for a different refurb I assume) and pay the $80.  However, looking online it sounds like Apple wont do this for any phones showing signs of damage.  This makes sense, since they dont want people just swapping out busted phones for pristine refurbs.  Well, the wife's phone has a single hairline crack in the front glass. It happened shortly after purchase and has never impacted performance.  We didnt have the foresight to purchase accidental damage protection coverage...   Its a small crack and my wife didnt want to hassle with trying to send it in for repair.  Sure wish we had now... Not sure what to do at this point.  Suggestions? Thanks Eric

My friend's dad got a new iphone and gave her his old one. She had it for awhile and then one day it turned off and wouldn't turn back on. She gave it to me because she decided it wasn't worth her time and now I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. I did some research and tried a couple different things and so far none of them have worked. I tried holding the home and lock buttons, plugging it in, and many others. I would take it to the apple store but I'm worried the issue will cost money to fix. Any suggestions before I take it in? (It has not suffered from any water damage or been dropped, that I know of)

Okay, so today I leant over to pick up my ruler which I'd dropped and my iphone slipped out of my pocket. Ironically, I'd put it in the inside pocket so it wouldn't slip out, and I've had it for 6 months and have been very careful with it until today. Needless to say I am absolutely gutted about this, and am hoping to replace the back of it. Looking online, some people claim that if I took it to an Apple store, they would either replace it for free or I would have to pay £29, however I'm not sure whether Apple have changed their policy about free first time repairs since the release of the iphone 5/4S. I'm willing to pay because it was my own fault, but I wanted to know how much it would be before waltzing into an Apple store.  One other thing, would I have to tell my Mum? Because she recently told off my younger sister for smashing the screen of her iPod and used me as an example of being careful, and I know she'd be devastated by this too. (Not to mention how much she'd freak out about it!)  I don't want to replace the back myself with cheaper parts from eBay because I know it'll damage my warranty if I do (I'm not sure whether smashing the screen comes under the warranty, I don't think it will.).

I recently bought a new iphone 4s from Virgin mobile, and have cracked the back glass. I purchased the warranty that covers broken glass and cracked screens and whatnot, but my boyfirend knows how to change the glass professionally, and it would be less of a hassle for him to do it then for apple to send me a whole new phone. But, if he does change the back glass out, will this void the warranty I paid for?  Also, if I do get a new phone from apple, lets say that one breaks too, would they replace it again if it was within the year? Thanks!

Freezing iphone 5

I have had my iphone for three months now and dropped it twice minorly cracking the screen but it still worked perfectly well. In the past week however it has been freezing completely anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute. Not even the home button will work nor the screen or power button. But after the allotted time has passed all the actions would happen at once. What can I do to fix this?

My lock button broken. iphone 4

My iphone 4 lock/sleep button has been fine for the past year and was working fine earlier this morning but this afternoon I was having trouble pressing it. The lock button is very hard to press on if I want to lock or turn my phone off now. I have no idea how this happened to my phone or if it can be fixed at an Apple store because I don't think that I have a warranty on my phone. At the moment I am using assistive touch to lock the phone but it is extremely unconvienent for me since I am constantly texting and on social networking sites which result in me constantly locking my phone.

broken battery iphone 4S

I just replaced a new battery to my iphone 4s. The reason that I replaced battery was because it had an huge battery drain every minute.After replacing the new battery, the phone randomly shuts off without me using it at all. Tons of problems with iphone 5

Just bought a brand new iphone 5 from Rogers (Canada) in December. For the month that I've had it I've had MAJOR problems with this device. I've had no major problems with my iphone 3G and iphone 4S, by the way.- Incoming calls get randomly dropped. No "busy signal", the line simply drops dead for whoever tries to call me. It doesn't even alert me that someone tried to call me. I'll only find out later if that person attempts to call again. But what if it's an important call and the person doesn't try calling again? Then I'm screwed. I've tested this by calling my iphone 5 from another cellphone by holding each phone in one hand. Out of 20 calls, at least 4-5 calls are dropped- Touch screen irresponsive- Very weak signal (on my 3G and 4S the signal bar is usually completely full or one bar from full, on my iphone 5 it's almost always only half full or less), the signal drops randomly outside (especially when I'm driving, the signal will just poof)I've already exchanged the phone TWICE. First time they exchanged it without question. Second time they told me it could be a carrier issue then told me to reset, restore, etc etc, then gave me a new one again. I'm on my third one, none of these problems are fixed.What are the chances I got 3 defective phones in a row? Seriously what is going on here? I've installed pretty much nothing on this phone except Facebook, Twitter, and Skype. Yes I've resetted and restore like N times, and I'm on latest firmware. What should I do? I don't even know if it's a Rogers problem or I've just had the worst luck in the world with 3 defective phones in a row, because none of the customer service people are able to tell me exactly what in the world is going on.

Re-Activation Temporarily Unavailable iphone 4
