So, I was in my bathroom just about to get in the shower while listening to music, being the clumsy person I am, I ended up dropping my iPhone in the toilet. I quickly gathered the iPhone, and placed it in rice. I waited 3 days, and if I plug it into my laptop, it turns on for about 10 seconds (only logo appears) then it shuts off. I was wondering if I visited the Apple Store, would they replace this? I have an iPhone 4.  Btw, I don't have a warranty.

My battery drains VERY quickly I'm having to plug in twice day iPhone 5

Hi Its becoming incresingly annoying that I'm having to charge my iPhone twice a day. Its always 100% at the start of the day and come around tea time its down to around 30%. I do use it for whatsapp but thats about it during the day and after having an iPhone 3 & 4 I've never experienced such issues. I was told the battery life was improved with the iPhone 5?  My main point is that its not always been like this and with having over a year left on my contract I need to nip this in the bud before it gets any worse. Things I have tried so far (To no avail) Closing all apps that are open.Lowered my screen brightness (I can only just see it)  Any suggestions as neither of the above two have worked. Cheers Gareth

I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem.  I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph.  Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service.  I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them.  As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers.  I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? Thank you in advance.

SOUND BAR SUDDENLY DISSAPEAR iPhone 4

It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iPhone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named:  com.apple.iapd.plist  is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.

My iPhone5 was working perfectly fine one day. Then I try to reboot my phone, and for some reason it couldn't get past the apple logo. If it did get past the apple logo, one of four things would happen. A.) The apple logo will fade to blue, and reboot over and over again. B.) My fourteen year old brother keeps figuring out the wifi password in our home. He is not allowed to have it AT ALL, and this infuriates me because now that he has figuered it out YET AGAIN my father might take away wifi all together and tie everyone down to wires..... so... is it possible to block one iphone from using the internet at all hours of the day... like even if he figures out what the password is again can the wifi not accept his iphone as a suitable device? Now before you go on about saying that he shouldnt have an iphone if we dont want him to have internet, we've got it all figured out. He doenst have internet on his iphone, we turned that off and we only allow him to use the phone for games, music, texting, and calling, and so that we can use the tracking device on it to keep him safe, the one problem is that he keeps figureing out the password to our wifi and thus gives himself internet access that he is not allowed to have at all.  SO after you have read my little tale please help me answer this one question: Is it possible, whether through an app or through our wifi, to block him from using wifi PERMANANTLY. Thanks

Im wondering if anyone can help me, My phone got stolen on sunday evening at around 12ish, after looking for it all night i resorted into comming home and searching for it via i cloud and find my iphone app, i entered my apple ID and my password but it only told me that my iphone is 'offline'. When i suggested this to my network provider when i called them to block my sim card so the phone wasnt being used, he told me this was because they must of took the sim card out?  I was more upset about all of my pictures and videos being deleted because there was lots of my family and my life on my iphone, so i tried to retreive it by setting up my icloud account to see if i could get my pictures back. To my surprise, it said i had a photo stream on my iphone, however when i clicked on my photo stream it had said 'files empty'. I then went back onto my icloud account and clicked 'Manage Storage' all it came up with was a 'Back up' tab and when i clicked on the tab it said "laurens iphone 31/3/2013 3:38AM - 4,GB" That is all my iphone told me, it didnt tell me anything else. Weirdly, it didnt show me any of my pictures but the date its telling me is the date i lost my iphone and 3.38am indicates to me that the person whoever has it must of went home and tried to do something with my phone at 3:38am? Im not sure.. but i want to know if there is any way i can get my photos back or retreive my iphone. I also have my serial number if  this helps? Help would be very appreciated right now.Thanks

Hello Folks, Created this thread so that people know that not every iPhone 5 has a bad battery issue. I got the iPhone 5 32 GB Unlocked version last week and i was going through all the forums checking the battery issues people had since updating their iOS version. I saw that a lot of people have issues with their battery which put me on backfoot for upgrading the OS. Then too i took the leap of faith with the thought that it is "Apple!!" a premium brand.. And i am glad i did. Now i know a lot of people had issues with the ios 6.1.3 Upgrade. But for me it was smooth. When i got the phone i was by default on 6.0.2 and battery life was ok. It was les than ATT Galaxy S3 i had before as in they battery used to die in 14-16 hours which was not bad i would say.  Since i upgraded, it was on 100% in the night at 12:30 AM. I woke up, and it was still 100%. So stand by battery is super awesome after the upgrade. As for the usage now, it is 4:30 PM here in NY and the battery is about 55%. The stats that i see is 17 hours stand by time and 6 hours usage. So i beleive my battery life is improved. Also my LTE is off as we dont have it in Long Island. In the night I was on Wifi, I am in office now and wifi is disabled, listened to an hour of music on spotify, notifications are off for all the useless apps, mail frequency is 1 hour, use whatsapp a lot. Thats it. So atleast for me, the upgrade was a beneifit. And the battery life has difinitely improved.  PS: I have not created the thread to poke people with battery issues, just an FYI to people that not everyone is having battery issues. Peace....

Hello, My son had borrowed my iphone4 to play a game. As he had my cell he tried sync'ing it to his itunes account. His ipod touch 5th gen is jailbroken and he syn'd his of course to his itunes account all the time. After him trying to sync my iphone and me getting it back. Now it will charge on the wall charge block slowly but the sound when plugged in does not sound and the battery symbol on the display will not show or lightning bolt it's like it is not plugged in but still charges. Then when you plug it into the usb on any computer it will not sound or show it's connected and can not be found on the hard drive or itunes it will not sync, be noticed, like it's not plugged in at all. If I turn the iphone4 off at night and plug into the computer or wall charger it will charge 100% but even though the computer charges the cell it still can not be found by me in the hard drive or itunes...PLEASE HELP I have cleaned the connections, restarted, deleted and re-installed itunes & email acct's, complete delete of all and started from freash, Lots more I have done anything you can do without being able to connect it to a computer.  I would not mind the slow battery re-charge I really just want to be able to connect to a computer again PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am trying to use a safe web browser on my iPhone without having access to unsafe browsers.I have disarmed safari and installed mcgruff (safe browser). The problem I am having is with blocking other apps from being downloaded. I understand the option exists to limit app access to an age level i.e. 4yrs. 7 yrs. 12 yrs. 17 yrs., however, no matter which way i set this I can always install the 'google' app? I would have thought browsers like google would fall into a category of apps people are trying to restrict. Why bother offering the function in the first place??I also realise there is the option to block all apps, however this leaves you with no browser at all... This will be the last resort I guess?

Hello everyone.. I'm very confused here; I own an iPhone 5 which I have on O2. I bought it outright from the Apple Store in Belfast and just transferred my Business Sim to a Nano Sim and use that in the phone. I am going to the USA soon (Miami) to be a leader at a Summer Camp for 9 weeks and need to use my iPhone while I'm over there. I have been researching AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verzion all for prices, but I'm still very confused.. I want to call back to the UK for a low price, as well as use the web for whatsapp and FB messenger etc. Will not be texting back to the UK. I need to know the answer to these questions: 1. When I put my O2 sim into my iPhone (which was bought sim free) does it lock to O2?2. What carriers will support the UK iPhone 5 for LTE? Would like to try this feature out as Northern Ireland hasn't been hit with this yet (probaby never will until 2040 ffs) I understand Verzion will not work as it is CDMA.3. What carrier would be most suited for using in Miami? 4. iphone 4s keeps losing contacts and needing to redownload from icloud

Dear all, Ever since I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS6 (which apparently in many aspects is a bad decision), I discover my contacts are emptied from time to time. It is apparent in occasions when there are apps needing to access the contact list (with instant messenging apps like whatsapp, Line etc, or even the Contacts App itself), and once the disappearing happens, I need to wait the contact list updates (downloads) itself with the entries from iCloud. I also believe the same happened in the background when I do not notice it, because I usually set different ringtones for certain people in my contact list, when the list goes empty and is filled again back from icloud, I will lose all ringtone settings. So I believe this irritating bug must be happening few times everyday sometimes without me noticing. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, and would like to see if Apple would be able to do something about it. This is annoying because if I input a new contact on my phone through the contact app, when this bug happens, I will definitely lose the newly added entries. So to be safe, now when I need to add a new contact, I have to do it on a computer, accessing icloud.com and add directly to the icloud records. It's the first problem I experienced with my iphone for the years I have used the iphone products, but is also a critically fatal one...

Notificationsalert work only over 3G and not over Wifi iOS 6 on 4S--HELP iPhone 3G

Ok Guys .. Something wierd happened today to my 4S. All my notifications/alert are coming ONLY through 3G and NOT over wifi. To name few apps (iMessage, Twitter, ESPN ScoreCenter, whatsapp, etc) Up until yesterday I was able to get notifications over wifi just fine.  But starting today no more notificaitons over wifi.  When I turn on my 3G and all of a sudden I get alert on my phone about iMessages, tweets, scores, etc. To rule few things out: 1) I tried resetting my router and did forget the network thing on my phone but still having the same issue.2) I'm able to surf on safari just fine.3) DND is off! Never turned it on!4) This is not due to phone losing wifi connection when locked, because I tested it.  I waited after unlocked the phone and surfed on safari for few mins to see if i get any type of notification, but nothing until I go and turn on my 3G.5) Tried the phone on different wifi network without any luck.  Anyone else having this issue?  or got fix? Thanks!
