Hi, I held down the off and home button on my iPhone 4S 64GB and i thought it just turned off but it reset the apps and i still have photos and apps and everything but when i open any social aps it comes up with "connect to iTunes to use push notifications" and also before this event i was using iMessage all the time aswell as texting and now when i use iMessage it doesnt let me send or recieve messages anymore on my iPhone but it does on my iPad and it lets me recieve Texts. Whenever I try to sync my iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3, to my new Asus computer with Windows 8, I get a message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of this iPhone. Go to the Summary tab and restore." So I go to Summary and hit restore, and it doesn't seem do anything, other than want to download new iPhone software, which always takes about 4 hours, and I inevitably end up with some sort of error that prevents it from loading.  I've removed and reinstalled iTunes, and restarted my phone, but it doesn't seem to work.  I would like to be able to sync to my computer, but it doesn't seem to work.  Before I was on an Asus computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine, and now I can't get it to work at all.  I have the same Internet Security provider as before, so I don't think that's it.   Can anyone figure out what I should do? Hi, so last week my phone suddenly turnt off. An hour later I could turn it back on, but then the next day the exact same problem and I couldn't turn it on. About 20 hours later and 5 programs I had fixed it. Then now, its 'died' on me again.  Firstly, I have 100% battery. Connecting to my docking system turns it on but brings up the set up page (connect to iTunes on first use) It isn't recognised when plugged into the wall, I've used threee different wires and different wall adapters. iTunes can't restore it as half way through my phone cuts out and then iTunes can't find it. I don't touch my phone whilst connected so it's an internal issue there.  I have tried other progams and they don't recognise my iPhone either.  Could it be the battery? Should I replace it? Or could it just be loose? It's 2 years old, so yeah I need a new phone. But I currently can't afford to replace it, so I need as much help into getting this one working for now! Ha Ha Also, it's the iPhone 4 and it isn't water damaged.

4S-No sound from speaker no mic no vibration doesn't detect headphones iPhone 4

Hello, I just replaced my 4S's display, and after reassembly the iPhone powered on as normal, but - there is no sound, mic or vibration what so ever. It doesn't detect a headphone jack either. The mute button and volume buttons work just fine, volume control shows up but there is no vibrate or sound at all.  So this basically makes it useless as a phone ... Anyone know what could be causing the issue? I tightened the screws, tried reconnecting the cables and the speakers. Hoping this is not an issue with the audio IC. Definately not software related, tried full DFU restore, tried cleaning the dock connector and jack, the iPhone is NOT stuck in dock connector mode. TL;DR: No sound from any speaker, no vibrate what so ever, no mic, doesn't detect headphone jack. Anyone know what's wrong? Could it be a damaged Audio IC (don't really see how this can happen)? Broken flex cable?

Hi, I recently restored and updated my iphone, as soon as i did this the battery started draining very quickly. I'd charge it up to 100% then in like 1 or 2 hrs it goes back down to 10%. Its still fairly new under the contract, so this shouldn't be happening, is there any way i can fix this?

I tried to update my iPhones IOS and when I did, it said that I needed to restore my iPhone, so I did, or I tried. When I went to restore it, it worked for a little while, then stopped and pulled up a error that says "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone, " iPhone " . An unknown network error occurred (9006). I have searched everywhere for a solution to my problem, to find no solution. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, turning in off firewalls, virus protectors, etc. I am very desperate to fix this problem because my iphone is a paperweight until this problem is resolved, please help me!

vodafone issues iPhone 4S

Hi all,  i will list my problems and see what you all think,,,,, i have a iphone 4s on vodafone running 6.1.3 firmware, for the first 11/12mths i would say this phone was faultless ( taking around 200 calls a day), recently the phone refuses to make calls and send txt messages, it wont even connect to the internet using 3g, it has to have wirelesss connectivity for the browsers to work. i took it to the local vodafone shop and they insisted it was the sim card at fault, even though i did try it in my other phone (nokia E50-2), so i took the replacement sim anyway. checks already done:- i have taken my vodafone contract sim from the iphone and placed it in the nokia, it works fine sending and recieving both calls and txti have taken my vodafone PAYG sim out of the nokia and placed it in the iphone, it refused to work but worked fine in the nokiai have reset the network settings, i have deleted all apps from the iphone and done a full restore, but it still refuses to workit shows full signal strength all the time where i live, as does the nokia, if i try to call it from the nokia it tells me the phone is not available even though they are sat side by side with full signal, if i try to call the nokia it comes back called failed.i have tried to send a txt message to my own phone number only for it to come back failed, yet in the nokia it sends no problem.vodafone refuse to admit it is a problem with there network and it is an iphone issue, the phone is now 13mths old and out of warranty (typical), i requested the iphone be unlocked from vodafone to check other networks, this has now been done so i put a spare O2 sim in the iphone and it sends and recieves both calls and text with no issues, yet vodafone still say it is not a network problem!!!!!!! is anyone else having similar problems to mine??? or is it something wrong with the phone???? i personnaly think when the phone was updated to the 6.1.3 firmware it has a problem with vodafone, plese tell me what you think, i am going crazy with this phone, cant believe its not kissed the wall or other hard surface yet.

Help with my iPhone 5.

So today I want to restore my iPhone 5 to 6.0. I have tried to do so by getting the firmware of the correct form, (my make of my phone, model number, etc) and for some reason it won't restore. I've tried 2 different ones, 6.0 and 6.1 and to no avail. On iTunes it keeps coming up with 'Error 3194' I have researched into this and I have done as instructed on the official Apple error code help page, but still, it doesn't work, can anyone help? I am stuck with a problem. I dropped my iPhone 4 (already had a shattered screen on this moment) accidentaly from 10cm (4 inches) on the rug. To my surprise I suddenly saw vertical lines and on a seperate part a color with a gradient which actually changes all the time, cool enough. My question is if I can do anything hardware or software related with this device to repair it without buying a new screen. I tried to restore, put in DFU this device but without results. I have been having trouble with my iPhone - sudden decrease in battery life, apps not working, Wifi not working, iCloud not working (don't ask me why, but when I go to Settings>iCloud>Storage and back up, the toggle is off and greyed out, giving me no option to turn it on). I was advised to back the iPhone up on my mac, reset the iPhone to factory settings and then restore it from the Mac.  So, all my apps have come over, but none of my contacts, SMS's, nothing. I can probably live without the SMS's but it will take me a long time to re-enter all my contacts.  However, they are all still in the Mac.  But I can't work out how to get the Mac to send the addresses back to the iPhone.   As previously stated, the iCloud doesn't work, so I can't use that.  I looked through previous entries and the advice was: Open iTunes. Connect the iPhone. Select it under the Devices heading in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Info tab in the main window. Check the Contacts box then sync. However, when I do this it say in contacts "your contacts are being synched with your iPhone over the air, over-the-air sync settings can be changed on the iPhone" But I don't want them synched over the air, because over the air (I assume this is iCloud) isn't working.  How do I set it (either iTunes or the iPhone) so that it synches, via USB cable, with the contacts on my Mac? I am totally, utterly confused and a bit cross as I am now worse off then before I reset the phone and was told that it would just back up from the computer.  And even more annoyed when I know the data I want is all still there (on the Mac in address book), I just can't drag it across.

My power button on my phone stopped working so before I went to the apple store today I backed up my phone to the computer (itunes) instead of icloud. Now I have my new phone plugged in and I hit restore from computer. It restored all of my texts, pictures, contacts, voicemails etc. Most of my apps restored except for like 10 recent ones which were all PAID for apps. Then a message popped up saying not enough icloud storage to finish restoring. Iphone 5 ios 6.1.4 password was entered incorrectly too many times. Now the iphone is disabled, state it needs connected to iTunes. Itunes state the iphone password must be entered on the iphone before it can connect to Itues. I can't do a firmware restore since the power button apparently is also disabled on 6.1.4 once the iphone is disabled. Looks like a loop and I can't get into the iphone.

Battery losing it's mind iPhone 4S

Hello, my wife's iPhone 4S seems to be losing its mind.  It will show 60% battery then less than an hour later its down to 1%.  Now, ordinarily I would say this is just a battery incapable of holding a charge, but it seems like this might be something else.  When we plug the phone in, it almost instantly will jump to 20-30% charged.   We've tried doing a full wipe/restore through iTunes, but that resulted in no changes. I'd take it to the Apple Store and ask for a battery repair (really, just a swap for a different refurb I assume) and pay the $80.  However, looking online it sounds like Apple wont do this for any phones showing signs of damage.  This makes sense, since they dont want people just swapping out busted phones for pristine refurbs.  Well, the wife's phone has a single hairline crack in the front glass. It happened shortly after purchase and has never impacted performance.  We didnt have the foresight to purchase accidental damage protection coverage...   Its a small crack and my wife didnt want to hassle with trying to send it in for repair.  Sure wish we had now... Not sure what to do at this point.  Suggestions? Thanks Eric
