Last night the screen of my phone 4 slowly went black. I tried charging it while hard resetting it but that did not help. also tried just resetting it but nothing with that either. I tried to chat with Itunes but couldn't becasue I cannot get the serial number. I do not have an sd tray nor can I use the screen. It is not printed on the back of the device not is it connecting to Itunes so I can get it from there.

My iphone tunred off and it won't turn back on. I have tried charging it, I have tried holding both buttons for 5 minutes at a time. It still does nothing. I've tried going to chat with apple service but i need to turn on the phone to see my serial number to get to that. I'm stuck can anyone help?

Hi there, Im scott, I dont own an iphone so know nothing whatsoever about them. this is our issue pls help : My sister purchased an iphone 4 from a woman at her work. Her husband upgraded to iphone 5 so sold his old one to my sister. My sister currently has a blackberry on contract to virgin media here in England. She took her BB along with her new iphhone to a local phone shop They cut her simcard down to size and put it into the iphone. When we turned it on we got this message 'only compatible sim cards from a support carrier....... ' I called our current contract to exdplain what we were intending to do and swap settings from a blackberry to her new iphone... they said we needed to contact the original service provider... here lies our issue. My sister works as a nurse.. she called her collgue to explain all this and ask what network he was on. She doesnot kno and her husband isnt home for another cpl weeks he is military. My sister doesnt want to wait a few weeks to use her new phone. Is there anyway to unlock and activate this phone giving all the detials of the phone and confirmation from his wife regarding the new user ? Ive read on the internet about jailbraking and all that nonsense.. but i dont want to damage the phone.. It isnt stolen isnt lost sureley i dont have to 'hack' into a perfectly legitimate phone to use do i? iPhone 5 Touchscreen problem occur randomly x every day totally no reaction.
My iPhone5 has touchscreen problem, it's started around 2 weeks ago, tortured me, even I can't use it now. I know that its most likely a hardward issue as stated in the forum. Now here is the problem. I bought the iphone from a local (philippines) online reseller http://lazada.com.ph. Lazada would only give the the apple 1-800-1441-0234 number and will not accept any repairs and service. I would never purchase anything from lazada specially electronics because of how they handled my case. Absolutely no support and repair /service channels for iphones bought from them. As per lazadas advice, I called the 1800 number and was again adviced to call the local carriers. I was adviced by the apple chat support to contact my local carriers. Local carriers like smart and globe would only accept repairs and service for iphones bought from them. I visited several local apple reseller stores and they decline to render service because the unit was not bought from them. I cant seem to get technical support and have the iphone checked by an authorized service center. What and where is the proper channel for me to get support and have the unit repaired or replaced? New Facebook Update Not Working iPhone 4
A few weeks ago I updated to the new fb chat head feature on my iPhone 4 and it worked perfectly. However, the next day I got another update for the sticker feature, but after updating to this addition neither features appeared. The new fb was present, but my chat head feature was no longer there and no stickers either! Facebook chat just appeared like it did before I updated any of it, but the other aspects (e.g. news feed, etc.) are updated. Does anyone know how this happened and what can I do to fix it?

When my dad bought the phone he didn't ask questions he just gave it to me. Being a blackberry user he didn't know that there was a one year warranty and being my first iPhone I didn't know either - and rogers didn't tell us. I found out recently that after getting my phone fixed elsewhere twice due to a broken screen that I actually have the warranty. And the recent screen I got fixed is faulty, will Apple still fix it if I sent it to them even if some else fixed it.

I just started to get a SIM Failure Pop up on my iphone 5on Thursday while traveling and using Maps fornavigation. I cannot seem to remove or repair this error.I have gone to yoru support page and followedinstructions on how to reset network.I first tried to send a text and failure came up. Then resetnetwork and text went through, but pop up still came upwith Sim Failure every time I turn my phone on.I also followed instructions to remove Sim Card whenturned off and Reinserted it and that did not work either.What do I do? Car bluetooth failed after recent OS 6.2 update iPhone 5
My car bluetooth (car is a BMW X5) has suddenly stopped working, immediately after my iPhone 5 updated its OS to 6.1. It all worked perfectly before the OS upgrade. Have re-paired it, re-set everything - no good. Any suggestions? What happens is - the phone pairs with the car stereo, the car stereo answers the phone - but there's no sound. Can't hear anything - on the car stereo, on the phone, nothing. And before anyone asks - yes, I am using it correctly, and the car is selected in the phone settings and when the call comes through. I used it successfully for months - until the latest OS upgrade... And then it stops. 6.0 was fine. Why would 6.1 fail? Why would the 6.1 upgrade cause this to happen? What have Apple changed in their bluetooth functionality for OS 6.1, that would make something that worked perfectly suddenly stop working after the 6.1 upgrade?? Why make these changes suddenly? Anyway, am very very annoyed. I need to answer my phone in the car, for goodness sake! Are you trying to make me get a blackberry or an Android device, Apple?

I have recently purchased a new Lexus GS250 car which requires a phone that will connect to the internet using (DUN) dial up networking.Im lead to beleive that the Iphone has never had this technology as it is quite old. Battery drain iPhone 4S
Bought my 4s this past Sunday. That evening I downloaded 6.1.2 via wifi. Then experienced rapid battery drain (went from 100% to dead in about 5 hours.) Contacted Apple thru chat and was advised to download the update via computer. Did this last night. The battery is better, but today, after no use (no phone calls, no texts, no emails, nothing) it's down to 50%, over about 12 hours. This doesn't seem normal. Any suggestions?

When ever I search for a solution all the results that come up are for blackberry and I'm not sure if it means teh same thing on iOS. The icon looks like an upright battery that has been drained and there is a small red x in the lower left of the icon. I've reset my phone, respringed the springboard, and plugged and unplugged it multiple times. The phone says its charging and nothing seems wrong so far, but the icon wont go away.

About a year ago, before I had an iPhone, my friend abroad got an iPhone and needed an apple ID. Since I already had one from my macbook, I let her use mine. I now have an iphone and use that same apple id. The other day I was chatting from my iMessage on the computer and she got all the messages to her phone. But she only gets the messages when I chat from my macbook, not my iPhone. And she sent me screen shots of her apple store ID and it isnt mine. Its her own! How do we stop this??

Vodafone Italy 4G will work ONLY with iOS 6.1 update iPhone 5
Soooooo, after driving myself crazy with Vodafone italy and their 4G network, i finally have answers that i'd like to share. 1) you must "activate" 4G service, either online (through "190y" on their site) or directly from them (the store, or what i did, they have a live chat feature on their site). 2) you have to wait to receive a text msg saying it has been activated. 3) wait until iOS 6.1 is released (end of the month). I have a factory unlocked iPhone 5 that i bought in italy and have traveled to the states with recently. as soon as i landed i had 4G service, without any modifications or updates or doing anything. i told voda all of this, and after 3 days, i got some answers. after doing some research, basically the new update with allow the 5 to use vodafones frequency. bam. there you have it. no 4G until the update. oh, and you have to pay 10 euro a month extra for it. thanks vodafone :-/
Extremely weak wifi on my iPhone 5
I bought my iphone 5 online through Singapore apple store.As soon as i openned the sealed package, 2 faults were found.1. There is an obvious dent on the right hand top corner of the phone.2. The wifi did not work. I tried to bring my iphone to different places and searched for available wifi and it just could notfind anything, tried to search with my blackberry, ipad and other devices and it was found. I reset the phone to its factory setting through itunes, but did not solve the problem.I updated to ios 6.02 which says will fix the wifi issue, still did not solve the problem. I discovered that if i bring the device very close to its source (a router) it will find a signal butonly receives an extremely low signal & even if it's connected, it will last only about 30 seconds andit died again. Do you think i can replace it with a brand new one? The thing is i live in other countryand the warranty is not international. Thanks

Hi I am in search of a chat app/IM App that would work with iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone 3G. Something like WhatsApp or the various IM apps such as Talk, Nimbuzz, IMO etc. The issue I have is that most of these apps now only work on 4.3 or higher, and the iPhone 3G cannot be updated to 4.3. I have tried using Talk Lite with gtalk but it needs some fiddling with the google account before it works and does not have push notification. Can anyone suggest any good IM app for 4.2.1 that has push notifications, I don't mind what the service is gtalk, windows messenger/live, jabber, whatever Many thanks
iPhone 5 call failed India
Proper Factory unlocked iPhone 5 bought in India from authorised reseller. Used it for a week after cutting a regular sim that was used in blackberry. After a week network lost. Got new sim from airtel, now im receiving calls, seeing 3G signal, using data but can't make calls, ie call failed. Airtel says to change the phone! I thing there is some sort of barring of outgoing calls. Usually all facilities are open, they confirmed that too. Im sending this post from my phone! Any one else facing anything similar? Or any suggestions? I'll anyway have to convince the sellers to replace my phone and get another sim from airtel. But I got to wait till Monday!!!!

Hello:I have received an iPhone 4 for Christmas. However, my blackberry bold is still in contract for another year and a half. To use the sim in the iPhone,I'm aware that I will have to cut the sim to size. ( which is not a problem.)However, from what I have read, it will work but I will have to ring my carriers customer services to tell them I am switching. Will they allow this and if it does work, will I get charged ridiculous amounts for Internet usage?Thanks

4s failed wifi greyed out
Ok, so I just got off the chat session with US support regarding the ios 6.0.2 update that seemingly fixes the wifi issues. But, there is aparently no plan to release the patch on any other device so when my dodgy wifi connectivity on my 4s totally dropped out today and now no longer allows me to enable wifi, It has to go back to the shop. Yeah, replace the hardware for a software problem... No guarentees that the problem won't happen again... maybe it's time to ditch the 4s for a samsung....

iphone 4 burning HOT after battery swap and now draining fast
Hello,I'm a DIY'er and very cheap. This is my first blog post ever. Excuse my unawareness. iphone out of warranty. Problem: My iphone burns hot when charging or when the screen is on.Cause: I was replacing a screen on my SISTERS iphone, used my own personal battery in my iphone to boot her phone to make sure i didnt buy a dud. But keep in mind both were ATT iphone 4 models. Both with the same IOS.I've replaced a screen before no problem. BUT this time the phone wouldnt fire up. So to make sure I didnt buy a dud, i removed the battery from my personal phone, placed it in my SISTERS iphone and bam it worked. Yay! Her iphone is working. So i removed my battery and reassembled her phone with her battery. Still working just fine. Now my phone is in need of repair. This is what i get for trying to help. Again, my iphone burns hot only when charging or when the screen is on. Battery is depleted in 1.5hrs. FAILED Attempts to fix by: Re-seatting the battery 10x plus.Swapped batterries several times again.Tried reconditioning.Blew air on the charging pins.Tried all the disable/delete mail accounts, icloud, restrictions, even airplane mode.Reset Network settings, then tried All settings, then tried erase all and restored with a NEW setup, no backups. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1. Now im just going to completely disassemble/reassemble my phone out of desperation.I think all that may be left is possibly i caused a short. My iphone screen has two hairline cracks, but un-noticable by touch and also touch is working 100%. I think maybe somehow the screen is now causing the iphone to overwork itself. IDK how bcuz i lived with these 2 cracks for abt a year now till the recent battery swap.Im undecided if i should try my sisters screen on my phone, bcuz i dont want anymore problems.I dont want to buy a new phone. Any help would be much appreciated.
else's screen pop when touched iPhone 5
About a month ago I noticed an almost inaudible, inconsistent "pop" when I touched or dragged a finger across the left-center portion of my iPhone 5's screen. Its getting gradually worse to where it is now detectable almost every time I tap anywhere in the left side of the screen. It's almost as if the screen itself is somehow coming loose (if I hold the phone tightly on either side, the popping is significantly diminished, which makes me think... increased friction prevents slippage of the screen, which means no popping sound). Anybody else have this problem? I just scheduled a genius bar appointment to hopefully bring the issue to their attention. That, and to chat with them about my abysmal battery life.

Is there ever going to be an option to block specific callers(including texts) directly from the contacts or an app like on Android phones? iPhone is supposed to be the smartest phone there is. I do love mine but this is a huge frustration. I always had this as an option when I had my Android phones & my blackberry. No, I should not have to call my carrier & YouMail does not TRULY BLOCK anybody.

I finally made the switch from blackberry to iPhone a few weeks ago and I am so disappointed that my speakerphone is broken and that this appears to be fairly widespread with no fix coming from Apple. Does anyone know if help is on the way or should I be considering a return to blackberry?

Just got the i5, had the i4s. My earpiece (bluetooth) can not connect. Does okay with i4s and my blackberry. The iPhone5 sits searching the whole time. I've turned all other devices off and nothing works. Used iOS 6.0 (same as iPhone 4s) and it did not work. I updated to iOS 6.0.1 and Is there an update for the iPhone 5 to fix this? Ironically, it finds my blackberry with no problem but it's not supported. Haha. This is a major issue for me because I talk on the phone all day and many times I'm driving. Facetime Shortcut iPhone 4
Facetime is great. However, it is a bit cumbersome to initiate a Facetime chat. I have come up with only 2 ways of getting one going:Option 1) Go to the Phone app -> Call their iPhone 4 from the speed dial list -> after they answer, then I click on the Facetime icon.Option 2) Go the the Phone app -> go to the contacts list -> search for the persons contact information and select it -> click "Facetime" -> then select their iPhone 4 phone number.What I would like to know, is there a way that a "Facetime" call or chat can be called directly from the speed-dial list, or some other way without all the steps that I just listed?
