How I restore my outlook calendar after it got deleted when I synchronized it with my iphone

I synchronized my iphone with iTunes and my outlook calendar.  By doing so, I deleted all of my outlook calendar events in outlook and on my iphone.  How do I reverse that action?  I tried restoring my iphone with the backup.  When I do this, my calendar events come back on my iphone but as soon as I plug it into my computer, it syncs with iTunes and deletes everything all over again.  I have tried changing the sync settings to not sync the calendar but it still synchronizes and deletes everything.  PLEASE HELP!

I smashed my iphone 5 screen today, I don't know how to go about replacing it. I'm on contract, so does that mean I have to call my provider and replace my phone/screen through them? Or do I contact apple directly? I've seent that people have booked appointments at local Apple shops...

How I sync apps from same iTunes account to an iphone 3G and an iphone 4S and keep correct version for each iOS

I have an old 3G as well as a 4S. Initially I set up a separate iTunes account for the 4S as I was worried I'd lose my old apps for 3G (as older, compatible versions aren't kept in the iTunes store so once they're gone, they're gone...). 3G is set up to sync with iTunes, 4S is inly syncing mail and conatcts through Exchange but hasn't been synced with an iTunes library for the reason above. Is there a way to sync both phones off the same iTunes account, so I can set up each phone with some music, as well as apps, without iOS 5 versions overwriting the exisitng apps for the 3G? To complicate things further, I don't want to sync photos, contacts, messages, etc. I just want to avoid having to duplicate all my music and pay for all the apps all over again. Suggestions? Cheers

Ridiculous store iphone 4S

I got my very first iphone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iphone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! This is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a Samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(

how can I keep old appointments from deleting in my iphone calendar

It seems iphone's calendar automatically deletes past appointments.  It won't even let me make an appointment for something that happened in the past.  I need to reference old appointments though so is there some way to make the iphone save old appointments or at least ask me?  It has nothing to do with syncing to my computer as I rarely do that.  This is really annoying.  My old Palm would save everything and it was great since I could go back and see the last time I went to the dentist, etc.  Is there a fix to this?

iphone 4s deleted notes calendar items

Why does iphone delete notes or calender items?  More importantly, how would I accidently delete them and is there a way to restore them? This happened with my calander items a month ago.  All of a sudden my appointments for the future and past were gone.  I got them back by restoring it (I THINK.)  After the fact I realized icloud was free and now use that as a back up for my phone. Then again today I was going to delete an item on my note and ALL my notes were gone.  I don't understand how it could of been my fault though.  When you open the Note app I had 9 different 'threads' I will call them.  Within each thread I had more 'notes'.  I was deleting one note from a thread and all of a sudden all my threads were missing by two. I am not sure how I accomlished this, but Notes was not set up in my iClould and I don't know how to get it back.  My issue I know, but any help would be appreciated.   Thanks!

Best apps for productivity iphone 3G

I need a calendar app that has a quick add for appointments and events, i need a way to pick a date in calendar  view, then add a event or reminder or todo and even add a note with checkmarks or numbered such as 1,2,3, etc.  And. One with geo location alerts for reminders about stuff as i am near the location of the area where i need to go. i have tried just about every notepad  and reminder app out there some do offer the things I am looking for such as (checkmark ) or some from (Appigo)  but like spring-pad or life topics they have so many options and  really too many choices it takes ten steps to set a reminder on those.  If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please let me know. ICS files will not open on iphone 5

ICS files (sent through email from someone using outlook) will not open on my iphone 5.  Software is all up to date.  I'm almost postive this used to work perfectly.  Is anyone else having this problem or know why this may have stopped working?   Thanks.

fault with Notes App iphone 3G

Very recently, I started to see some of my notes on my Notes App on my iphone 4GS being duplicated, and when I deleted the duplicate, both disappeared, and an odd empty gap was left between the previous and subsequent notes.  The problem then seemed to go away, so I put it down to some glitch that I didn't need to worry about.  However, it has just happened again, and only this time, having closed down and restarted my iphone to see if that might clear the problem, I can't scroll down my Notes atall - I can open and read any of the Notes appearing on the first screen, but if I try and scroll down to subsequent notes the the Notes App just crashes.  What might be happening here, and how can I fix this?

After I add my outlook email (example@roadrunner.com) to my iphone5, I can no longer receive email sent to that address.I receive it on the phone quickly.  However, I get this message in outlook: Task"mail.roadrunner.com - Receiving" reported error (0x8004210E): 'Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another e-mailmessage is being delivered to it or another mail application is accessing it.  The server responded: -ERR [IN USE] account is lockedby another session or for maintenance, try again.' Any help is appreciated, Steve

Accounts messed up my 4S iphone 3G

My gf got a iphone 4S, earlier she had a 3G. Once upone a time, she created a Apple ID in here own name with here own e-mail address. Later, when she got the 4S, she coudln't log in with here old username/password, so she created a new account using my e-mail. Late last year, we updated it to iOS6, and after that, i tried to make here old username/password work, but no luck. The phone claimed it was already taken and could not be used, same with my hotmail address that she used. I tried for several hours, but it got late and she needed the phone, so the quick fix was to create yet another account using one of my outlook addresses. I logged in now, trying to delete this account (as my username suggests, lol), but no luck there. The problem at the moment is as follows: - In settings, she seems to be logged into here account on iCloud and iTunes and App Store.- If she launches the App Store and try to update one of the outdated apps, it prompts a window asking for the password of my outlook address.- That same window pops up when she roboots the phone, with the outlook address already filled in (unchangable). How come? we want to clean up that mess and get her account back as it should be...

iphone 5 push notification for email stuck on 1

My email icon continues to display a 1 badge when there are no emails in either inbox it is connected to. Not even emails i have opened already, literally no emails in the inbox and the ap displays a 1. This is really annoying to me because I actually keep my inbox clean. The account that seems to have the problem is my school account which is an outlook web account. Problem just developed within the last couple days and I have been using the phone with iOS6 for a couple months. Any help appreciated!

No results with Google Maps on iOS6 6.01 iphone 3G

I know this isn't an apple software problem per-se, I will be asking the question over at some Google forums (wherever they are) in due course, but I wanted to know if other iphone 5 users were having the same problem. Basically when using the Google Maps web app, when I click search.. nothing happens. (well, if we pick hairs, something does happen: the keyboard slides down and the little 3G data spinning wheel appears for about half a second, but no results are displayed). I've tried reloading the page and restarting the phone - but I never get any search results (which is still better than the iphone maps, because I almost always get incorrect and misleading search results when using that, which means I end up going to the wrong place and missing appointments... not that I'm bitter.) The same search in Google Maps on a desktop PC will get results (correct ones). I don't know if it is just limited to 6.01 as I've only just started using the Google Maps web app. Can someone help me find my way?

MS does not care! This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iphone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, Samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with outlook and my iTunes library.

iphone 5 battery problem FIX

Hy people  First several days ago i made dicussion about poor iphone5 battery and i was so disappointed and really mad because i gave a lot of money for a phone which battery lasts for a half day... It took me a week to browse all post on this communities and i tried all solutions found here and nothing helped me...2 days ago i decided to return my phone to a local shop i Croatia where i bought it... i told the seller all the problems i was faceing and he told me there is one more thing we could try.First i have to say that i have 3 iphones... i have iphone4, iphone4s, and now iphone5... when i got iphone5 i made a backup form itunes but the backup was from my older iphone4... I bought iPhone4s 15 days ago and i set it as a new phone in i tunes and its battery lasts for a loong time...he told me that could be the issue...Just to say when i was looking in settings/about/diagnose and use there were a lots of log with crashes and everything...NOW THERE IS NONE First we transfered my contacts to outlook...and i transfered my photos and everything what was important to me to the computer... we didint do any backup with itunes or icloud because thats the problem. We did a restore in itunes and set my phone as a new phone without backing it from any backup...Then i transferd my contacts from outlook to my new phone... and download all apps i had on it....The guy at the shop downloaded new iOS6 update so maybe apple also made same changes in iOS6 updates i dont know its that possible My phone works just fine now...I use it often...with everyhing ON...wi/fi ON...3g ON, location services ON, notifications ON,facebook ON,viber ON, whats app ON,mail ON ( chek mail every hour) bluetooth OFF,... I turned iCloud off and i deleted all previous backups from itunes and i cloud...I downloaded app called battery doctor which is very usefull and tells you what apps are draining your phone... i use this app when im charging my phone. My phone is always on a heavy usage...taking calls, browsing web, play youtube videos, always on facebook, playing games andi have to say that my phone now lasts for a whole day... now as i write this a i have more then 2h of heavy usage an 5h and 27min when disonecting from charger and my battery is at 75%...  For me this is good because you cant expect to use all apps and feauters all the time and expect that your battery will last for 2 days... Yesterday my phone lasted for 20h with heavy usage (6-7h) so  i think this is really good.. i have to say that i did many charging circuits from the day i bought it so this also could be helpfull. iphone is a great phone... and when i was dissapointed whit its battery i aked my friends who have s3 how long their battery lasts...and they all said it cant last for a day.... Im only sad because i had to find solutions by myself not getting any help from apple...and dissapointed that they also didnt make any official statement by this battery problems... and solution how to fix it... But i will fast forget all of this because i started to enjoy my phone finally  I hope this would be helpfull for all of you

Shouldn't there be circles, stars, etc IF PWd Saved correctly?Since New Password this a.m. We have twice Deleted iphone Email Acct in Settings and re-Entered AND each time Seen "This Acct may NOT be able to Send-Recv Emails: Edit or Save. iphone Calendar Entries won t importsync onto Macbook iCal

I thought that when I synced my iphone to my iCal on my Macbook that this was a two-way street so that entries I put into my phone would be imported to my computer and entries I put on my computer will be imported to my phone.  I need this to go both ways so I don't miss appointments!    Can anyone help me with how to fix this problem?  I don't want to replace everything on my iphone with what's on my computer either.  I know that's an option, but not what I'm looking to do.  There are  entries I add to my iphone when I'm out and about and it doesn't help me when those don't later import to my computer.  Thanks in advance! P.S. I should add that I do not have iCloud.  I upgraded my older macbook to snow leopard recently, but still no iCloud.  I mention this because the other solutions for this issue I've seen on the forums all mention iCloud and that's not an option for me.

Why note duplicate when its updated with information iphone 3G

I noticed this today and I thought it was a duplicate account issue. When I update a note on my Mac, it creates a duplicate entry on my phone. This issue gets worse if I pause and continue the note. For example, I will upated a note, think about additional information I would like to add, continue typing, by this time I now have 3 duplicate notes. Is there a setting Im missing. I should add that I'm syncing notes using ymail. I could switch to iCloud but would really like to know what is causing this issue. Regards.

Lock Screen not displaying upcoming Calendar Appts or Reminders since iOS 6.0.1 iphone

I have an iphone 5 (White, 64GB) that arrived with iOS 6 installed.  I did not restore from a backup and set it up as a brand new device (so not to carry over anything from a previous version of iOS).  After getting the prompt the other day I upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 and it installed successfully.   Today I noticed that my upcoming appointments and reminders (in the next 24hrs of course) were not appearing on the lock screen.  However, they do show up in Notification Centre.  I made sure that all of my settings are correct in Settings>Notifications>Calendar as well as Settings>Notifications>Reminders... still nothing is showing up on the Lock Screen... they only appear on Notification Centre.   This is not how the lock screen on iOS has ever functioned. I've now tried toggling all of the settings for the lock screen of both apps, soft and hard resets of the phone, toggling iCloud sync, etc.  I have even placed a call to Apple and they're having the engineering dept. look in to it further.   This is also happening on my iPad (3rd gen wifi) running iOS 6.0.1 so it's not just a bug related to my iphone 5. Is anyone else having this problem??  

iphone 5 won t charge

Yesterday I plugged in my iphone 5 32GB to charge and noticed the battery symbol turned to a 'plug' icon as opposed to a 'lightning bolt' icon. The phone was on 18%, so it should have been a lightning bolt. If I'm correct the plug icon should only appear when the phone is fully charged. Anyway, it stayed with the plug icon for a bit, refusing to charge up and after 10-15 minutes and trying a different wall socket the lightning bolt suddenly appeared. Sure enough it charged all the way up to 100%. Today is another story. I've been trying all day to charge and nothing will happen. Phone is now completely dead. When I plug it in the 'dead battery screen' appears (empty battery with a little bit of red in it, lightning bolt underneath) but it never actually charges up and turns on. Its been like that since this morning. Been into my local Vodafone store today, left it with them and tried another charger, no luck. Tried hard resets, no luck. Vodafone are sending me a replacement handset for Tuesday, although Saturday to Tuesday with absolutely no phone is going to cause a fair few problems. Apple can't offer me anything any faster - all London Apple Store Genius bar appointments are fully booked until 19th October(!). I've just managed to get it into recovery mode in iTunes and am trying a factory reset right now, but don't have high hopes. I've searched the web a lot and not found any similar stories to this one. I've more or less accepted that I'm going to have to wait until Tuesday now, but thought I'd post anyway to make sure people are aware of this particular series of events and in case anyone is also searching to answers for a phone with simlar symptoms. Any ideas are of course welcome, although I believe they've all been tried!

duplicate birthday entries iphone 4S

Some context: I have 2 devices here, an iphone 4S with iOS 6 and 3S with iOS 5 on it. I've configured on both devices my google account with email and calendar enabled. On the calendar I see two entries for one birthday. First entry is the one that iOS "sees" from the contacts and it is displayed with a present icon. ("Chris Van Beurden jarig")Next entry is one that iOS gets from gmail ("Verjaardag van Chris...")If I now go to my settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > My gmail account, and there I flip the calendar slider to off, and I confirm to delete the calendar from the iphone. I then slide the calender back to on. The result is that I now have 3 entries in my calendar for the same birthday: 1 entry for marked with the present icon and 2 other entries.   I now have like 10 entries per birthday before I found out where the issue came from (flipping the calendar on/off on the account). The strange thing is that on my iOS 5 device I only have the birthday entry with the present icon, flipping the calendar on/off on that device does not give the same issue.

Birthday calendar bizarre repetitions and other issues iphone 3G

I have the STRANGEST things happening with birthdays on both my iphone (5, 32GB, white, iOS 6) and iPad (32GB, iOS 6, white). I'm posting it here in the iphone forum, assuming more people may be able to help.  First of all, I sync a Google Apps calendar with my iphone and iPad via CalDAV. I also sync my Google Contacts with my address book (including birthdays), which syncs via my MacBook on OS 10.6.8 using the sync icon in the system tray. (I hesitate to call it MobileMe, even though that's what the System Preferences calls it, because it really has nothing to do with MobileMe -- it does not sync via MobileMe [I do not have an account], it just syncs my Address Book with Google with my phone or iPad when hooked up. It is through a WIRED connection that it does the final sync to the device.) So, my birthdays from my address/contact books and my Google contacts DO sync and they DO show up on both my iOS devices in the fancy Birthday calendar with the cute cake symbol, as well as in my Google calendar.  NOW HERE'S THE CRAZY PARTS. Sometime recently, my birthdays were getting repeated. But oddly, enough they are a different amount on the two iOS devices. I have 18 copies of all birthdays (on the same day) in my iphone calendar and 68 (YES, SIXTY-EIGHT COPIES) in my iPad of every birthday.My Google calendar shows NO SUCH ERRONEOUS copies.The crazier thing is that the copies of the birthdays are NOT on the birthday calendar. In fact, IT'S AS IF THEY JUMP AROUND ON DIFFERENT CALENDARS. They show up all one color, but some random color. They will appear or disappear only SOMETIMES if I turn "off" some calendars or others (for example, once they would go away if I hid a "Personal" calendar, another if I hid a calendar I subscribe to via Google but sync via CalDAV from Weather Underground, and another calendar that is a Google calendar but also my "default calendar" in the iOS settings). And this is all within minutes.When I go into an instance of the repeated calendar event, it will actually say it belongs to my default calendar, regardless of what was hiding or showing it before.When I try to "edit" the birthday just to see what happens, it crashes the app.   WHAT. THE. ______???    Here's what already I've tried: Searching the internet for someone with a similar problem. NADA.Turning off the option to sync my Google birthday calendar via the Google sync page (I think it's actually unnecessary anyway, since iOS pulls from the contact book, anyway). That did nothing.Hiding all calendars and then selecting them to show one at a time to figure out which calendar was causing the problem, but as I mentioned above, it is not consistent.Re-syncing my devices with iTunes.Searching for and merging duplicate contacts in Google contacts.Turning off the iOS birthday calendar.Killing and re-starting the calendar app.Re-starting my iOS devices.Re-syncing my contact book with my devices.   Someone. Please. Tell me you're having this problem and that you have the solution? I'm going crazy over here! I can't remember anything that may have triggered this to happen.

Accepting meeting invite from iphone 5 stays in Inbox

When I accept the meeting request from my iphone 5, the meeting request stays in my inbox and the item does not get deleted from the Inbox like the outlook client or OWA.  However, when I accept any meeting request from my outlook client or OWA, the item automatically gets moved to the Deleted Item folder - which is configured in outlook and thats how I want it. Is iphone configure to not delete the item in my Inbox even after I accept the meeting request? Environment:Win7 Pro - fully patchedOutlook 2010 - fully patchedExchange 2010 with the latest SP (I think SP7) on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have a lot of iphone 5 users that are having the same issue. Thanks in advance!

Duplications on Visual Voicemail iphone

Every now and again, my Visual Voicemail will duplicate messages that are showing in the mailbox. I can end up with four idential messages sitting in my voicemail box, which is somewhat annoying.  Does anyone know why this is occuring and how I would fix it?

Auto-brightness turned off but still phone still changes iphone 5

iphone 5 with iOS 6, I have my phones auto-brightess turned off and the brightness level all the way up to the highest setting.  At random times which I cannot duplicate my display goes very dim.  I have to go back into my settings and slide my brightness level down then back up again to get it to return to the highest level.  Sorry apple but this is just one of the many fails you have given us with the new phone and iOS 6.  Also having problems with text and ringer tones being so low that I cannot hear them even though they are turned all the way up.  Also, my wireless reception *****, compared to what it use to be on my old 4.

i share an itunes acc with 3 family members how i manage apps contacts etc iphone 3G

Hi.  Please help.  We have 1 itunes account and 3 iphones and an ipod.  1 iphone is new and I need to transfer all contacts, apps, photos, messages etc to the new phone an restore the old one. I want to ensure that everything I have on my iphone is backed up and transferred to my new one.  I thought simply plugging it in and syncing was enough, but when I look on the apps on iphone it asks if I want to sync to outlook, Google Contacts, Windows Address Book or Yahoo address book.  I don't know which one to choose, I just thought it all backed up to itunes. Obviously I'm not very up on all this so any advice would be great. Also if you have any advice on how to manage multiple devices on 1 itunes acc, ie, keeping apps, contacts etc separate, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks

What s all fuss about iOS6 maps iphone 3G

For starters, I'm not an iFan... My first smartphone was a BB and I used to swear by it. I found (and sometimes still do) that the iphone was more of a toy while the BB was a professional tool. I still prefer the BB Bold's keyboard for typing emails than the iphone's touchscreen keyboard. I ended up buying a 4S earlier this year (March) only because BB had no outlook Exchange license available where I lived (Maldives) and it was either Android or iphone, so the choice was clear there. Since then, I've come to grow quite fond of it and am quite happy with the integrations and functionality of the phone albeit it being slightly more time-consuming to send out emails. The iphone 5 launch event came out and I looked at all the details. Here's my conclusion: an extra row or icons, a slightly faster processor and most of all 4G. Now, I don't really need an extra row of icons... In fact, I sometimes find the 4S a little too long (jeans pockets along with a pack of cigarettes: cigarette pack usually loses and looks like it's been trampled by a herd of elephants...). So, I'm not in for a bigger screen as the current one's just fine. I never found my 4S to lack speed so I don't really care about the faster processor either. 4G? I love it! But I live in China now... It will be a while before it'll come out here, so why bother for the moment? It's complicated enough as it is as China Mobile (biggest network and best coverage, which I am also currently on) doesn't even have 3G for the iphone. Only EDGE, but I make do... China Unicom offer 3G for iPhones but not as good a coverage... So, what to do? So in the end, a 4S with the brand new iOS6 update to me sounds better than going out to buy a new iphone 5. Update has been out for 3 days now. And before I went ahead and updated I checked the reviews, comments and discussions... WOW! It would seem Apple has opened the wraths of **** upon the world and that the Apocalypse is upon us when reading on about all the bugs and issues. And everyone goes on and on about the maps... It's made it onto CNN, BBC and just about anyone with an iota of grey matter and a keyboard. There are even comments mentioning that Asia is practically mapless with the new native app. I froze! No way in **** was I going to update if I was going to lose such functionality. I've just arrived here 2 months ago, don't speak a word of the local language, feel like getting an audience with the Pope is simpler than giving a cab driver directions and the Google Maps app has often been a lifesaver for me here so far... As much as I want to get my hands on the rest of the new functions, it was a risk not worth taking. Today I bump into a colleague of mine at work and he's just updated his iPad (2nd gen) to iOS6. I tell him all I've heard about the maps and he brings it up to the restaurant for lunch. I'm scrolling through the new map app and honestly don't find much of a difference. Now, seeing as everyone is whining about the uselessness of the directions the new app gives, I give it a test. I search for the Park Hyatt in Beijing. The Google Maps app used to give me 3 different results. The new app gives me one result only, it's correct and gives me the right directions to get there... So, what is all the fuss on the new update??? So Apple got rid of Google Maps... Yes, it'll take time to get better but Apple so far have usually managed to do a pretty good job at doing that. At first, everyone was complaining about battery drainage... Nobody mentions it anymore... Strange... Is this intentional Apple bashing?... From what I've seen so far, I still don't get what all the fuss is about. I'm going ahead with the update... Will let you know how it goes!

How I remove 1 from Facebook contacts iphone 3G

With the new iOS 6 Facebook features my contacts now include everything from iCloud and from Facebook. I love it and appreciate that it links duplicate contacts between the two groups. However, the phone numbers do not register as the same. All of the contacts imported from Facebook have a "+1" in front of them, and my contacts from iCloud do not. How can I correct this issue? What is the "+1" even for?

iphone 4s-iTunes download error on pre-purchased songs

Hi, I have annoying bug where I have songs stuck in the downloads section, under more... in the itunes store (iphone app) which still show up in my song lists but don't play. If I open up the itunes store app I have notifications for downloads (which is pre-purchased content under my account which was bought on my macbook). When I try to download them I get an error message "Unable to Download Song,"This song" could not be downloaded at this time, DONE or RETRY. This isn't a massive problem cos I can manually add the LP from my mac, the bug is I have no way of canceling this proceedure on my iphone and the songs are showing up in my songs list on my iphone even though they haven't downloaded. I've cleared all the music off my iphone using my mac and manually re-added the LP now its showing duplicate songs but the songs from the app store on my iphone play blank (obviously cos the download isn't complete)... how the **** do I cancel these downloads and clear the blank song duplicates? any ideas? Also these don't show up anywhere when I connect my iphone to my mac in iTunes. Is this a cloud issue? Any suggestions help would be fantastic. Thanksenrocc

Missing outgoing audio on calls iphone

I hope I'm not posting a duplicate issue, but i haven't seen this problem posted --- My iphone 3G has stopped working for outgoing audio on phone calls or voice recording with the microphone on the headset -- I have the original headset/mic that came with it as well as the 79.00 apple in ear headset -- everything works fine until a call comes in -- I answer - can hear the caller perfectly, but they cannot hear me -- First I thought it was the headset--but it does this with everyone I try and they all work on other iPhones --- the phone is no longer under apple care and the closest apple store is over 100 miles away --- there is a guy in town that replaces broken screens -- he said it's the mother board and can't be repaired -- the phone works fine if I unplug the headset -- my audio gets through --- I haven't tried it with blue tooth -- I am running the latest version of the OS -- and this didn't coincide with an update -- the phone has not been dropped or damaged and has not been exposed to water --- Has anyone seen this before? any Ideas --- Not quite ready to go the the 4 yet -- Thanks

Sync iphone 4s and outlook contacts

i often get new contacts on my phone, and sometimes i get them on my desktop.  I would like to sync the 2 platforms so that new contacts created on my phone will be updated on my desktop and vica-versa? For example, i just created a new contact on my phone, and when i plugged it into my computer and hit the sync button, the new contact that i just created on my phone did not show up in my outlook contacts. what am i missing? thanks, Darren

Multiple iphone s for replacement iphone 4S

I want to take my iphone's into the Apple store to get them replaced. I know it will be $149 each and i'm goingto do this becuase I want to start collecting them. I have the original iphone with a cracked screen and iphone 3G and 3GS with non-cracked screens but they don't light up but do show up in iTunes. I also have my iphone 4S that Apple replaced when I cracked it back in March but the front camera goes out all the time. So I was wondering if Apple might think that i'm doing this and then resell them. Do any of you know if Apple will accept 4 iPhones in a one time visit? Or would I probably have to do 4 diffrent appointments? I'd call them but everytime they would always give me the wrong answer from when i would actually visit the store. Thanks in advanced

Sync contacts with outlook and lost contacts from phone iphone 4S

I backed up my iphone to my pc as always. I tried to sync the contacts with outlook for the first time and lost all of the numbers in my phone. All that was there was the names of my contacts. Fortunately icloud was on but I had not sync'd in 2 months and lost many new contacts. Any ideas?

Deleted reminders list PLEASE HELP iphone 3G

I decided to start using iCloud and outlook instead of Hotmail for my calendar and reminders.  I managed to set everything up using outlook, I copied all the hotmail calendar entries to the iCloud calendar.  The only thing left was my to-do list in the iphone reminders app.  My reminders were apparently being saved to my Hotmail calendar according to the iphone settings. When I used the iCloud control panel to sync calendar and tasks to outlook, I assumed the Reminders on my phone would sync to outlook. All my calendar data was there as I had copied everything over to iCloud's calendar within outlook.  When I deleted my Hotmail calendar, it was deleted from my phone and all the Reminders attached were gone! My calendar entries are all still there, by in the Reminders app all the reminders in the list, including the completed ones, had all disappeared! None of these reminders had alerts on them, it was just a simple to-do list.  Is there any way I can retrieve my reminders??

iPhoneiPadMicrosoft outlook Annoyance

I really hope someone can answer my question. I have an email account with Sky.com Email, which I think is run by Gmail. I receive emails on my iphone and iPad without any issues, but the moment I Send/Receive emails with outlook, all the emails are downloaded onto outlook as you'd expect, but everything in my inbox on my iphone or iPad Mail app is removed!  This is a massive issue for me as I need to access my emails when I am out and about at work when I'm in my van (physically cannot take my laptop with me - too cumbersome, would require Wi-Fi anyway).  Can anyone help me with this issue, is there a way to fix this? Or even anyone who has been in the same situation as myself give me any idea if there is actually a solution? Thanks, Chris.

Reminders duplicate or don t acknowledge edits iphone 3G

I'll add a task to Reminders. When I oepn the app again though, its there twice. If I delete one of the Reminders, both disappear.  Also, sometimes I edit the date and time of a reminder and save it, but when I look at the app again, it's reverted to the original date or time. Any idea what's happening and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Setting up Contacts for international calling iphone

I am a relatively new iphone user. I want to set up my international contacts in Contacts to be able to call them by selecting the contact whether I am in the US or in the local country. Calling the United Kingdom, for example, I would expect to dial the international dialing code (011), then country code (44), then the UK number omitting the leading zero. Calling the number while in the UK I would just call the UK number, but this time included the leading zero.  When I set up the contact in outlook, I enter the country field (United Kingdom), the area code field (0xxxx), and the local number field (xxxxxx). This displays in outlook as follows: +44 (0xxxx) (xxxxxx) When I sync with the iphone the number displays as follows: +44 (0) xxxx xxxxxx which made me very hopeful that the iphone understood the logic and would dial correctly whether I was in the USA or in the UK. However, it does not. It will not dial the UK number from the US. I had lengthy conversations with ATT and Apple, finally reaching a senior adviser. The senior adviser was not familiar with the problem and did not have a solution.  When I edited the contact to take out the 0 in parenthesis, ie changed it to  +44 xxxx xxxxxx it did work when calling from the UK from the US. But when I asked a friend to try that format on his iphone in the UK, it did not dial correctly.  So, right now it seems as if I have to set up 2 contacts, one to dial the contact from a foreign country, and one to dial the contact in the local country. This does not make sense to me, surely Apple have figured this out already. I can't be the only person with this problem or need. Anyone else have any experience on this?
