Having issues with iOS 6.1.4 heating up (in standby) and high battery consumption in standby. It's not consistant but I will, sporatically, notice my phone warming up, in my pocket, to pull it out, turn the screen on and then off again and it'll cool down.Battery consumption is also very high (worse than iOS 6.1 update issue) and is drained quickly. I've closed all active applications (but mail and calendar as I need for work) and still will occur.
Problem started about 3-4 months ago. Screen will be dim at first, but pressing the power button to turn off the screen and then pressing the power button again will restore the screen to full brightness. Brightness is set to max and Auto-Brightness is off. Phone is not overheating and has never been wet.
Went to apple store last week with a cracked screen on my 4S. It was out-of-warranty so they provided me with a refurb unit. Did a restore on the refurbed unit from icloud (running ios 6.1.3) and ever since then I've been having problems. The phone feels like it is overheating, the 3G only works intermittently, apps keep crashing and freezing, and the phone turns itself off at random intervals. I read online about the potential issues with exchange calendars, so I've turned off any calendars on my phone. Other than that, does anyone know how I can fix this issue? Is it hardware related, or is there something else I can do to improve performance? Thanks in advanceDan
Is anyone having a problem with battery drain and overheatingon your iPhone 5?
I fell asleep on my iphone 5 about 2 weeks ago and caused it to overheat. Since then the battery is draining really quickly- have I ruined the battery forever or is there something I can do to rectify this? Thanks in advance.
Hey guys, This is my third iPhone 5 since late September when I got it on release day., My first one was overheatingMy second was a faulty lock button And now my third, it will not charge and sometimes will not turn on.. Like technically it would still be 'on' but when I press the lock or home button it will stay black.. Even when I flick the cribbage switch it will not do anything.. So I wait 2/3 minuets and it pops back to life.. The charging thing is a recent one.. It just sits on the percent that it was on and then slowly decreases. To 0%. I am seriously doubting iphone 5.. I'd honestly just go back to my old 4 if there is going to be that many problems with these ones.. Quite upset that my phone won't charge.. I run everything off it.. Please help!!
Since I upgraded my 4S to iOS 6, I have experienced significantly shorted battery life and elevated device temperature. Apple has replaced the phone but the problem continues. Seems like software - - Any ideas what is causing the problem? I continue to keep programs closed after using them.
After downloading the new update 6.1.2 ive noticed my 4s overheating when its on the charger, even sometimes if im using it it will get really hot. When its on the charger it will get so hot that it could be dangerous. Any idea whats up with that?
So how do I fix the problem ?
What next?
OK; purchased an iPhone 5 64GB at end of October and battery was fine. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 a week later and battery life is now terrible, lasting barely half a day with minimal usage. Know all about switching items off, apps, etc. Upgraded to IOS 6.0.1 on my iPad 2 at the same time, and exactly same issue on overheating and poor battery life has occurred. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what the cause is.What is Apple doing about it?If IOS 6.1 does not fix it then the only thing I can do is change to Samsung tablet and phone - a silent protest but will hurt Apple financially.I can't believe they're not monitoring these discussions and working in a solution. I have 10 people who have all purchased Samsung phones on the basis of my feedback on the IPhone 5 problem.Come on Apple - you're annoying long-time customers!
At first I thought it was this new phone cover that I got because it had never done that before. This particular case was one the wrapped all the way around the iPhone, instead of the more common ones which have cut outs at the top, the bottom and the side where the volume and vibrate buttons are located. I thought the phone cover was somehow "overheating" my phone and causing it not to turn on properly when I would press the centre button. HOWEVER, now that I've bought a new phone cover, with the cut outs, it has started doing it again. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
I've had my iPhone for approx 2-3 days now and whe I got it, I installed iOS 6.0.1. immediately, everything was fine, my battery life is quite good when not using 3G but WiFi instead. However, after a day of having the iPhone 4S, in the evening I went onto my camera and took a picture, my screen went black and RGB lines went through it and flickered back onto normal screen again. I've noticed it's becoming increasingly hot when I'm only running 2 apps (cos i force shut down apps by double clicking home) last night it actually burnt my hand, like a scold. i couldn't touch it because it just overheated so much it was too hot to touch. I don't know whether to go back to TMobile where I got the phone from or go into an Apple shop. My mother even says that I need to send it off. But I've been reading forum topics about it and apparently it's been happening to alot of people with 4/4S on iOS 6.
iPhone 4 is overheating to the point where it is too hot to even hold also the battery is draining quicker than normal
I recently upgraded my 1 year old iPhone 4s for an iPhone 5. Using it in exactly the same way as the iPhone 4s, it ran out of battery considerably faster and it got really really hot whilst I was using it. This has never happened with my iPhone 4s, and the fact that a brand new iPhone's battery is worse than a 1 year old phone isn't very good. Also the heating up is a bit concerning. Moreover, when I shake the iPhone, I can hear a screw or something else rattling on the inside of my phone.Has anyone else had these problems & if I brought it to apple would I be able to get them to do anything about it?
Hi all, My Iphone does not have any sound coming out of it at all (music/apps/ringtones alert tones/keyboard clicks/calls) through the internal speaker/s or even by headphones and it seems my mic is also dead as people on the other line that call me cannot hear me too. I can hear music from my iphone through my laptops speakers when connectd to itunes via the dock. It also does not vibrate at all. Other than that I can play games, receive and send txt messages and do all the other things but very silently. It all started when I accidentally dropped my Iphone a few weeks back and my lcd screen cracked. It still had full sounds coild play music receive calls hear app sounds click etc and vibrate even though the screen was cracked. I had the lcd screen replaced the day after and everything was ok with it. It had normal sounds and vibration functions until two days later when it just stopped making any sounds at all and stopped vibrating. I plugged in headphines but still could not hear anything. I plugged the phone thru itunes on my laptop and was suprised to hear sounds coming from my laptops speakers. So obviously th dock connector works. I took it back to the technician who replaced my screen and he changed the internal speaker and mic but still no sound and I could not record on mic so its not those parts. One thing that makes me believe its a board or ic problm is that before i lost the sound and vibration on my Iphone it became very hot after a person called me 4 times until the phone rang out 2 days after I got the screen replaced. It eventually shut down 2-3 times due to overheating. The next morning the sound and vibration were gone. I've tried the dock and headphone and cleaning trick. Hard restart, reset, and all the suggestions I could find on the internet but to no avail. Has anyone come across this problems and been able to fix their Iphone/s. Thanks heaps in advance,Reg
HEY!i just figured it out 5 hours later! Try this, go to settings, restrictions, turn restrictions on, block the camera, save it. the app will disapear from ur home screen. go back to settings, restrictions, unblock camera and then turn the phone off ! once it is turned back on it worked FINALLY goodluck! I'm still going to my applecare appointment tomorrow, will post if they say anything else! UPDATE:it stopped working again hahaha false hope
I think there is something about IOS 6 that is eating the battery way more than 5.1.1 and earlier releases. Even my iPhone 5 has poor battery life compared to my iphone 4 running 5.1.1.
Hey, I purchased an iPhone 4S approximately 10-12 Months ago and recently I've encountered some overheating issues. Usually when the iPhone would get too hot to hold or I could feel it being an issue I would turn off the iPhone and let it cool for a while, however just yesterday my iPhone during a 30-60 Minute phone call got so hot it actually burnt my hand. Now for Healthy/Safety Risks/Issue I've stopped using the phone however it is the only phone I have currently and need to get this issue fixed. So here I am asking you guys what I should do, I don't have the option to go to a Apple Store. From my memory I don't have the receipt but I still have the Box. Cheers
I have an IPhone 4S which gets extreamly burning hot when charging and quite burning hot under normal use it gets hot on the stainless steal bands and the battery and even the screen!Battery drains in 1 hour. Whats going on?Will i have to have a replacement?
I am on my 3rd 4s Iphone in less than a year. overheating and data connection issues. I have heard that CDMA iPhones with carriers like Sprint and Verizon are problematic when moving from one cell tower to another. I will lose data connection constantly and also access to Voicemail. It is never on regular intervals and can happen when I am driving distances or just sitting in one location. I am curious to see if anyone is experiencing this, if anyone is aware of Carrier network issues in Ohio/PA, if there is an inheritant connection issue with CDMA iPhones.
I got an iPhone 4S two weeks ago. Tonight it turned itself off and after a few minutes it started overheating. It was too hot to hold. I can't turn it back on. If i could, will it be safe to use?
My iPhone 4 is over heating on the right hand side of the devise (looking at the back of the phone) below the camera when it is charging and in use. It even happens when only one app is open such as the messages. Has anybody had a similar problem and are there any solutions?
My iphone is constantly freezing and overheating. The screen will freeze and then the back will over heat. I demand a new phone.
My iPhone 4S unexpectedly crashed today while listening to music. Since the warranty is going to run out in a few months, I'm a little worried. It was within standard operating conditions (room temperature, phone was not hot, etc.) so overheating could not be the culprit. My question is, should I just treat this as a one off incident or could there be a hardware problem underlying the crash? I contacted technical support and they suggested it might be a software problem. However, usermode applications cannot trigger a kernel crash unless there is a bug in the kernel. Therefore, either there is a bug in Darwin (unlikely?) or there is a hardware problem. Below is the log of the kernel panic. If anyone recognizes this particular error, please let me know if there is something I can do to prevent this in the future Hardware Model: iPhone4,1Date/Time: 2012-05-22 17:07:47.250 -0400OS Version: iPhone OS 5.1.1 (9B206)panic(cpu 0 caller 0x80895af1): "CDMA: client driver(s) left channel(s) 0x 8000 active when sleeping"@/SourceCache/AppleS5L8920X/AppleS5L8920X-300.8/AppleCDMA/AppleCDMA.cpp:357Debugger message: panicOS version: 9B206Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 11.0.0: Sun Apr 8 21:51:47 PDT 2012; root:xnu-1878.11.10~1/RELEASE_ARM_S5L8940XiBoot version: iBoot-1219.62.15secure boot?: YESPaniclog version: 1Epoch Time: sec usec Boot : 0x4fba53c6 0x00000000 Sleep : 0x4fbbffb3 0x0009a609 Wake : 0x00000000 0x00000000 Calendar: 0x4fbbffb3 0x0009beb2Task 0xc0860d20: 13255 pages, 113 threads: pid 0: kernel_task thread 0xc08718c0 kernel continuation: 0x800228d5Task 0xc0860ac0: 214 pages, 3 threads: pid 1: launchdTask 0xc0860600: 673 pages, 8 threads: pid 12: UserEventAgentTask 0xc0860140: 247 pages, 4 threads: pid 13: notifydTask 0xc08603a0: 649 pages, 9 threads: pid 14: configdTask 0xc085fee0: 12377 pages, 21 threads: pid 15: SpringBoardTask 0xc085fc80: 166 pages, 4 threads: pid 16: syslogdTask 0xc085fa20: 2177 pages, 14 threads: pid 17: CommCenterTask 0xc085ee40: 286 pages, 2 threads: pid 22: powerdTask 0xc085ebe0: 610 pages, 2 threads: pid 23: lockdowndTask 0xc085e000: 1978 pages, 13 threads: pid 28: locationdTask 0xc0f3ed20: 618 pages, 4 threads: pid 29: wifidTask 0xc0f3c980: 6394 pages, 24 threads: pid 44: mediaserverdTask 0xc0f3c720: 476 pages, 3 threads: pid 45: mediaremotedTask 0xc0f3c4c0: 393 pages, 3 threads: pid 46: mDNSResponderTask 0xc0f3c000: 631 pages, 7 threads: pid 48: imagentTask 0xc0f98d20: 719 pages, 5 threads: pid 49: iapdTask 0xc0f98860: 434 pages, 4 threads: pid 51: fseventsdTask 0xc0f98600: 907 pages, 1 threads: pid 52: fairplayd.N94Task 0xc0f983a0: 1594 pages, 8 threads: pid 53: dataaccessdTask 0xc0f97300: 474 pages, 4 threads: pid 60: apsdTask 0xc0f970a0: 526 pages, 2 threads: pid 61: aggregatedTask 0xc0f96260: 825 pages, 7 threads: pid 67: BTServerTask 0xc0f96000: 924 pages, 5 threads: pid 68: aosnotifydTask 0xc0f3e3a0: 272 pages, 3 threads: pid 75: networkdTask 0xc0f3d0a0: 6344 pages, 12 threads: pid 81: MobileMailTask 0xc0f3d7c0: 1577 pages, 4 threads: pid 330: MobilePhoneTask 0xc085e720: 328 pages, 1 threads: pid 456: absinthed.N94Task 0xc0f3d300: 4881 pages, 6 threads: pid 986: Music~iphoneTask 0xc085f560: 4895 pages, 11 threads: pid 1042: Maps~iphoneTask 0xc0f96be0: 536 pages, 5 threads: pid 1043: geodTask 0xc0f3dc80: 448 pages, 3 threads: pid 1062: syncdefaultsd
A week ago I realised that my phone was heating up rapidly and my battery was being drained alarmingly fast before days end. I used to go a whole day and would only hit 50% battery use. After some research, reading and testing of my own, I can say with some certainty that after turning off the push notification and location services on my phone battery life has dramatically improved returning to pre update performance and the overheating has ceased. This is by no means a fix, as I believe the problem is far from resolved but rather a temporary solution until apple can identify and resolve the problem. I that this would help whomever is out there experiencing the same problem. Apple we need a fix for this problem asap as we should not have to limit the functionality of our phone due to some buggy code.
I noticed others having the same issue of the Iphone 4 locking up on them. I wanted to add the additional remark that I had noticed in the week or so previous that Apps were constantly acting tempermental and kicking me off repeatedly. This was true even of System App. I would need to click back on ten times or so just to accomplish the task at hand. I had attempted resets, updates and even tried hardwiring back to itunes. I thought it was an overheating issue and would just leave it alone for a while and come back to it and it was then fine. When it then locked up in the OFF position I panicked thinking it was dead and I was not a happy camper. I then had the idea to perform a hard reset while the phone was on the charger and this worked. The phone continues to work a bit slower then before, in that the keys seem to lag. I believe that there is a provessor issue. I am not sure if this is something that Apple has taken into consideration and lead to the switch on the new units. If so, is this something that will be taken into consideration for customers with older units that are now having issues with this freeze? If Apple is not aware of any issue with the processor, is this something that they might be looking into? If the problem resides in a falty processor, then an exchange will not resolve the issue, only prolonge it. This is unless the new units contain a new processor. Either that, or is there a program in place to trade an Iphone 4 for a 4s if such an issue occurs? Assuming the 4s proccesor is free of such issues. Sorry, there are many questions and issues in this...
overheating the unit and short span of battery life? how can i remove the camera icon at the right side of "slide to unlock"? it is an open app?
My iPhone 4s keeps overheating, gets really hot! (hot/warm too from the back and the sim card area ) Should I return it?
Has anyone had this happen? If so please let me know: My iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1) was not quite two weeks old, and had experienced none of the overheating problems that are reported sporadically in various fora. Then, last night, I shot a 21-minute video. By the end the phone was fairly hot, though it did not shut down or display the green-triangle "overheated" image. I stopped the video and noticed that the left-hand quarter of the touchscreen no longer worked: for example, nothing happened when any icons in the left-hand column of any screen were touched. Display was unaffected, but nothing (cooling down, cycling power, resetting the phone, etc) restored the touchscreen function. I took the phone to an Apple store today and they gave me a new one, saying this is a problem that they hadn't seen (which they always say, of course). But I'm still curious because my first stop was the Verizon store across the street, where I bought the phone in the first place. The Verizon folks told me that (1) they would not replace the phone, because (2) it sounded to them that I might have voided my warranty, on account of shooting a continuous 21-minute video, as (3) this overheating during video recording and trashing the screen was a known issue in iPhone 4Ss, which I should have known about, and at any rate (they stated emphatically), iPhones were not designed for long video shoots. Not only had I not heard any of this, I had heard the contrary many times, so I'm still wondering whether they were just trying to BS me or whether there really have been similar reports that just hadn't got publicized yet.
I bought an iPhone last year on the release date (14 October 2011) from an o2 retailer over in the UK. Now I am experiencing overheating problems, even when it is idle... It becomes a lot worse when it is charged, my brother and sister both have the same phone and they are not experiencing these problems. I am worried about what to do next, should I return it to apple or take it back to O2? I have recently been experiencing some Internet problems like my twitter not loading and not recieving iMessages or texts until hours later, and it's really irritating! I have been to O2 and got a new SIM card yet the problem still persists... What should I do now? I have an iPhone 4S 32gb Black P.S - I don't know exactly how long they're supposed to last but I consider my battery life to be pretty poor (100% in the morning 8am and 75% in the afternoon 3pm whilst it is idle) is this bad!?
Hi, My name is Isabel and i´m from Chile. I have an iPhone 4 with Movistar. I bought my iPhone on May/2011 and i started having problems with the home button during february. I took my iPhone to Movistar technical service and the give a new one. Whitin minutes of using my new iPhone 4, i noticed that the gadget was really hot and the battery drained really fast. Also, i could only talk if a put the phone on speaker mode and not in the usual way. On the next hours, the iphone was so hot that it feel like it burn my hand and hurts, no damage, but it was hot enough to hurt. I took it to Movistar first thing in the morning and they noticed the problem right away (it was new), but they don´t want to give me other at the moment, i have to wait 10 days, i already waited 10 days the first time, so they can see and then give me a solution. I think that they never got me a new iPhone the first time, and only replace it with a used one. Movistar Chile is know for they corrupt practicesThere is no Apple oficial representation here, so i don´t know who can i contact, but i trust the quality of Apple products (i have and iMac and an iPod Touch also), so i know that the company don´t hand defective new products like that. Of you can help in any way, i will be really thankfull Isabel Valenzuela
LOSES CHARGE OVERHEATS 32GB ALREADY FULL
Hi all, My iPhone 4S has recently developed a habit of switching itself off and on again. This problem has never cropped up before (i've been using the phone problem-free since November 2011) however in the past week or so it randomly restarts itelf in a similar fashion as if I had held down the home and power button for a hard-reset. I've checked the diagnostics & usage logs and see a load of panic.plist.synced entries (full crash log below). Can anyone help decipher what this crash log means? Is there a solution to this other than bringing it back to the Apple Store for a replacement, as that is what other discussions with similar issues seems to suggest? I'm finding the lack of reliability in my iPhone 4S very annoying... Hello. I have random crashing and a little overheating on my 4S. Apple Fast Lane had me restore on a different user account to eliminate download corruption as a cause, but it hasn't eliminated the fails. I really need to know if this looks like software or hardware as a fault. I had my iphone 4 since August 2011, it came with 4.3.3 ios installed from the box. after 1 month, in the afternoon, the phone overheated suddenly to an extent that it was harmfull to carry with my hands, the battery was draining insanely and after gathering some tips, i decided to perform a clean restore what forced me to update to 4.3.5 ios. and the problem was fixed. in October, ios 5 was released and i updated my device to the new firmware. Yesterday, i was downloading an application from the app store when i noticed that my iphone started to heat rapidly and the battery started draining too. so i decided to repeat the same fix that saved me before and performed a software update what updated my phone the the new ios 5.0.1 firmware but my problem persisted. my iphone now is in a miserable situation. whenever i turn it on, it starts to heat very rapidly reaching almost more than 70 degrees celcius. whenever i plug it into charger it heats, whenever i plug it into my pc it heats, whenever i use it or turn it on, it heats to a harmfull level making it so hard to hold it in your hands. tried 5 times to restore as a new device through itunes, removed all ( apps/music/pics/contacts ) disabled ( location, mail, findmyiphone, notifications, network settings) i tried everything but nothing is working. i have noticed a specific area in the iphone hotter than all the other places, and that located at upper right corner (the camera corner). I dont know what type of hardwar is located in that area, but i doubt its a software issue because my iphone heats if it is turned off and charging. use it. as if there is an electrical closed circuit heating the device whenever electricity runs through it.so advice to solve this problem. i really appreciate any sort of help since i live in lebanon now and there is no apple customer support center in this country. although my device is still on warranty.
We have two new 4s' and both have had invisishield put on them and are also kept in an Otter Box cover. They have both now frozen and also seem to be very hot. I have taken mine out of its case and I am wondering whether this is a software issue or perhaps a problem with keeping them in the Otterbox. Has anyone else had this problem?
Last night I plugged my 16gb black iPhone 4S into the charger and went to sleep. I woke up an hour or two later to my phone vibrating a lot and lighting up, like it was being unplugged and plugged back into the charger multiple times per second. I picked it up and was almost burned by how hot the phone was. As I gained my senses after waking up, I could also smell electrical smoke. I quickly unplugged the charger from the surge protector, and looked at the phone. I turned on the lights and saw that there had been short circuit and almost a fire at the connection point between the charger cable and the phone. Some background about my phone: It is just over two months old (per-ordered and received on Oct 14), it has never been dropped, and it has never been wet.I've heard or batteries overheating and catching on fire, but rarely a connector fire. I took my phone into the Apple Store today, and got it replaced for free in about 10 minutes. The Genius Bar employee who helped me told me that Apple Stores see about one fire replacement per month, I did the math, and with about 358 Apple Stores (as of November, 2011), this means that over 4000 iPhones are catching on fire every year. This seems like a very high number, even with the millions out there. If over 4000 of a certain car model spontaneously erupted in flames every year, there would be massive recalls. Why not with the iPhone? Here are some pictures of my phone and the charger cable.Any thoughts?
Last night i experienced some massive overheating from my phone, not talking about it getting hot while browsing the internet, i mean hot to the point where it felt like it would melt or catch fireWas a bit worrying as i generally sleep with the phone under the pillowAll apps were closed and i have autolock turned on however when i looked at phone it was stuck on unlockBattery went from 87% - 36% in 2 hours and took a good half hour to cool downIf it makes any difference i did have it playing on the dock at work all day so would of been charging tooAny ideas what happened?
I have an iPhone 4 that continues to get hot and battery drains rapidly (every 5 hours). Has anyone encountered this problem or know what causes the phone to do this???
So I've recieved my brand new iphone 4S (white, 32gb) two weeks ago, and I've noticed some problems.One. Extreme over heating. My phone will over heat if browse the internet for more than 20minutes, or when I text/imessage for about half an hour. It gets so hot, even though it does not have a case on. And Its the bottom and the very top part of the iphone that heats up.Two. Random siganl drops. My 3G signal drops randomly about 3 times a day. I didn't have this problem with my old galaxy, also my friends who is with the same provider does not have this problem, so I don't think its the provider. Third. Randomly turning itself off.For the past two weeks, it has randomly restarted 8 times. It gets really annoying. At first I thought it was because of the over heating. But then today, it restarted just randomly. Last. BATTERYI have disabled all the location service, and anything that might drain the battery. I don't play games during the day, but I do text alot. When I come home from school I only have about 60%max, around 40% left, which is shocking. At the moment I only have 27% because I've listened to music and school isnt over yet.So what should I do? I've resetted my iPhone once. Would Apple replace my phone? Thanks
My iPhone 4S is overheating and the battery is draining like crazy (like full to empty in 2 hours). I also have an iPhone 4 I use for testing. I back both up (we'll call them My Data Backup and Old Test Backup). I restore the Old Test Backup to my iPhone 4S and My Data Backup to my iPhone 4. The 4 now has the overheating issue and the 4S is fine. So not a hardware issue. I called up Apple Care support and talked to a senior advisor (Lynn) and she told me that if restoring as a new phone works fine, then it's not their problem and then she hung up on me! Obviously if I restore as a new phone, I will lose all my app data. Is anyone else having this issue or concerned that the "solution" Apple provides includes data loss???
Hardware: iPhone 4s, 16 gig, blackSoftware: iOS 5.0.1 My issue: I go to bed and plug in my iPhone. My alarm goes off at 7:30 am and I realize that the phone is very warm and the battery level is at 90%. I am assuming this is because the phone has overheated and is no longer charging. Is anyone else having a similar problem and is there a way to solve this problem? (Note: I have it in a Casemate Tough case)
My iPhone 4S switched itself off and it keeps heating up. I have put it infront of the fan to cool down but when I put it in my pocket it overheats and it is not turning on.
I recently purchased my iphone 4s at the verizon store a week ago. i've noticed my phone stays hot, no matter what. my brother who bought one the same day does not have this problem. even when the phone is standby it is really warm. sometimes it will cool down but for the majority of the day its warm. is this normal?? also does anyone have any tips for extending my battery? i feel as if the phone is overworking itself causing the overheating issue and drainage of the battery. White iphone 4s 16gbiOs 5.0.1
Can anyone explain to me why my iPhone 4S keeps randomly shutting down during random parts of the day? This is the third time it's happened since the day I got it on its release date. I don't think its overheating because its just in my pocket and its not hot outside. Could I have possibly not closen specific apps correctly and so inturn eventually shuts off to turn the apps off?
My iPhone 4s keeps overheating, gets really hot! Should I return it?
My wifes iphone has been overheating for about a month. OS 4.3.We purchased it at 2nd of Feb.Draining the battery very fast etc, like all the symptoms as discussed here.Ive closed push, pull, gps etc. Ive backup up and restore the phone, restored the applications back. Phones left upper hand corner got very hot to touch and temperature warning came, left it on the stone and got coldish. Battery drained very fast by the way and started to charge. But the phone got hıt again and didnt get charged, didnt open and now dead. What should I do? It doesnt give any response to charging and powr on button. Still at charge but doesnt open... iphone4 iOS 4
I left my iPhone 4 charging for about 3 hours until it was fully charged. I went to take a picture and the camera flash switch had a warning symbol. When I clicked it, it stated that my flash was disabled due to excessive heat. I quit the camera app and reopened it and the flash was working fine afterwards.( note the phone did not feel hot whatsoever.) Should I be worried about this. There was no overheating warning on the lock screen just in the camera app.Thanks. iPhone 4 iOS 4 4.3
Hi everyone,I set my iphone 4 to Airplane Mode before I went to bed last night with the battery being at 97%. At 8am I turned off Airplane mode and set it down on my table while I got up and did my morning routine.1 1/2 hour later, I come back to find my iPhone pretty warm, and the battery at 68%. The overheating warning message did not come up however, and I quickly turned off my phone and let it cool down. My questions are,Does anyone know how/why this happened?Should I be concerned for my battery being damaged in any way?Settings:Wifi/Bluetooth: Off3G: OnLocation Services & Notifications: Off iPhone 4 iOS 4
