About three days ago my iPhone decided to display the incorrect time at first it was an easy fixjust correct it using the clock app-thingy, then it got worse, so I shut it down that worked and hasstayed that way and me and my iPhone became friends again.... UNTILI got home to charge it, I put it on the charger and it didn't take. I hooked it up to my original charger - nothingthe computer - nothinga friends charger - nothingbought a different offical charger - nothingshook it - nothingrestarted it - nothinglet the battery drain til it's dead and restarted it - nothingpunched it in the face - hospital visitbought it flowers and choclates - nothingwhispered sweet nothings into it's earpiece - nothingtook it back to where I bought it - nothing, was told to restart it by shutting it down for 10 mins then turning it back on - NOTHING. Frustrated, I go back to my friends house and attempted it one more time at her request, guest what - it worked, same charger as before but it worked. UNTILI get home and hooked it back up to my charger, my original charger, my computer - and got nothing ALL OVER AGAIN... Nothing seems to work with this thing, what's going on??
My iPhone 4s will no longer charge while the phone is still on. I have to plug in the cord then turn the phone off. If I turn the phone off then plug the cord in it turns the phone on. I can still play music thru my clock radio but it just doesn't charge while on. And idea why?
iPhone 5 speakers stopped working after the 6.1.x updates.Currently running v6.1.3 (10B329). I use my phone as an alarm clock and also rely on the phone speaker.I've read a lot of other reports with people having the same issue.Apparently it is *not* a hardware issue.Any help would be appreciated!
We found that your app uses one or more non-public APIs, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. The use of non-public APIs is not permissible because it can lead to a poor user experience should these APIs change. We found the following non-public API/s in your app:_terminateWithStatus:If you have defined methods in your source code with the same names as the above-mentioned APIs, we suggest altering your method names so that they no longer collide with Apple's private APIs to avoid your application being flagged in future submissions.Additionally, one or more of the above-mentioned APIs may reside in a static library included with your application. If you do not have access to the library's source, you may be able to search the compiled binary using "strings" or "otool" command line tools. The "strings" tool can output a list of the methods that the library calls and "otool -ov" will output the Objective-C class structures and their defined methods. These techniques can help you narrow down where the problematic code resides. We appreciate that you may have made the precautions in your code for using non-public APIs, however, there is no way to accurately or completely predict how an API may be modified and what effects those modifications may have. For this reason, we do not permit the use of non-public APIs in App Store apps.If there are no alternatives for providing the functionality your app requires, we encourage you to file anenhancement request. Or, try working with the Apple Developer Technical Support team to explore alternative solutions. On occasion, there may be apps on the App Store that don't appear to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We work hard to ensure that the apps on the App Store are in compliance and we try to identify any apps currently on the App Store that may not be. It takes time to identify these occurrences but another app being out of compliance is not a reason for your app to be.For discrete code-level questions, you may wish to consult with Apple Developer Technical Support. Please be sure to:- include the complete details of your rejection issues- prepare any symbolicated crash logs, screenshots, and steps to reproduce the issues for when the DTS engineer follows up. For information on how to symbolicate and read a crash log, please see Tech Note TN2151 Understanding and Analyzing iPhone OS Application Crash Reports. If you have difficulty reproducing this issue, please try testing the workflow as described in <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/qa/qa1764/>Testing Workflow with xcode's Archive feature".
Help me figure this out please.
Sometime around the Feb 8, I suddenly lost capability to access the internet thru the Virgin/Sprint 3g network and Safari. Wifi works fine, as well as phone and text. Have contacted Virgin multiple times with no result. Spent 3 hours in Apple store, who gave me a new 4s but it has the same problem. Have tried every solution seen on the net, including soft & hard reboots, toggling Airplane mode, and network reset. I have not yet done a factory reset, holding that as a last resort. Odd thing is that some apps do work on 3g: Phone, Messages, Google Maps, Translator, Game Center, Skype, clock, Xfinity TV, iCloud, and Opera Mini. What doesn't work are: Safari, Weather Channel, Xfinity Mobile, Google, Chrome, Dictionary, Stocks, Apple App & iTunes Store, Movie Night, Gas Buddy, White Pages, Apple Maps, Google Earth, and many more. The odd thing is that I can access Google through Opera Mini, and that works fine. I left the Apple Store convinced that the problem lay with Virgin Wireless, but after a lot of online investigation, I am beginning to think that it may be an iPhone problem. Is there anybody out there who can make some sense of what works and what doesn't and diagnose this problem so I can get the phone working back to where it is supposed to?
I developed a application on xcode 4.5.1 and Testing on iOS 6.1.2,In which i have shown UIAlertView with 2 or more Button's Like "OK, Cancel... etc"after clicked on any of these button's, the shadow effects of alertView is doesn't remove.after that when we tap on screen then screen starts blinking. when we rotate device once, then device stops blinking and it repeats after new alertView appear. It's working fine on iOS 6.0 and Previous Versions.
Hello, Apple user's, I am a 15yr old with a passion for computers & design. Anyways I am interested in developing for the iPhone, as I'll be getting one in a few months. I've never really developed any type of games before, but am in a game design school magnet, and want to begin to learn how to program as I've been meaning to for a while now. I'm interested in developing for the iPhone, and know I need a Mac, Objective-c knowledge as well as xcode knowledge, and a $99 Subscription to be able to sell and test my apps. So here's some questions I've been wanting to ask for awhile...1. Would you recommend a Mac-Mini ? I see i5 Mac mini's on craigslist going for around $400-$450, and know I could afford that. I switch between my mom/dad's house weekly, and have a Windows based desktop that I built w/ monitor at each house, So I'm thinking i could just bring a small Mac-Mini back and forth with me, as they're pretty small.2. Could you guy's point me towards some nice Objective-C or xcode tutorials or books? I've just started spring break and want to take advantage of the time off.3. I'm only 15, so how would I go about selling apps, Ill probably have mostly free apps but would like to incorporate paid versions too, and I know i need to be 18 to sign a contract, would i just get my mom to sign the contract, and if she gets taxed extra I would just pay her the amount she was taxed ? (BTW, I'm in FL)4. How would I sell apps under a company name, I've heard of people trying to list apps and it saying they're real name instead of a company / made up name. There are obvious reasons I'd like to sell an app under a company name, no one wants to buy an app from a company named, for example "Steve". It pretty much set's your app up for failure. Would I have to register all kinds of legal crap just to make it say a developer name like, for example " FunTide Apps".5. If there's any advice you'd like to give to me or info that I didnt ask for PLEASE do, it's greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading, I know the questions are in abundance but I am really excited about starting to develop and have been wanting to do so for a while now !
Since the IOS 6.1 update on my iPhone 5 I've noticed my battery has been severely degraded. I never make it through the day now without it dying - used to be at 35-45% every night when I went to bed. Just now it was at 40% (12pm), unplugged it from the charger at 6:30am and it has been locked and asleep since. How does it drain 60% doing nothing! And it's Sunday, on a regualr workday it would be dead by now. Unacceptable. I've read other posts and have tried several fixes: -Deleted all email accounts including Exchange account and iCloud-Turned off all location services-Updated all APPS and deleted ones I was not using-Deleted Find Friends APP as another post suggested this would help-Re-booted phone after turning it off for over 1 minute-Added back Exchange, Gmail and iCloud email accounts Then I downloaded the xcode app onto my MacBook Pro and discovered the following error is happening as a loop when my phone is locked and should be sleeping: WiFi unquiescing requested by "locationd" Any ideas what this is? This is COMPLETELY ridiculous. I have been a LONG time Apple supporter and it's hard when things like this happen to defend the greatness of Apple products to non-users-seriously....I shouldn't have to spend hours researching a fix for a problem that has clearly affected sever thousand if not hundreds of thousands of people since the upgrade, ALL complaining about the same thing. Common' Apple-you're better than this!! Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
hi alot got I phone 5 S now will 4S still be supported? I got my phone from a rental company they said they may have 5 S soon thanks and why is it called 4S or 5S alot of phones work on 3 G net work and some still work on old analog digital and I know my phone takes the sim card.
Anyone else having these problems? Since the release of ios 6 I have had problems with the sound cutting out randomly for several minutes, or as long as 2 days. I really don't think this is a hardware issue because I do not use a dock and I can tell the speaker still works because it will play my ringtones but I am unable to hear keyboard clicks, txt's, and music, sound in apps, ect. And the sound slider completely dissapears In all apps except for the "sounds" tab in settings. I know my volume buttons work because you can see that in the sound tab as well. I have tried backing up to an earlier point in time as well as completely restoring as a new phone and neither methods have worked. I have also cleaned my dock connector repeatedly. It will work for about a second, just long enough to hear the unlock click, after restarting the phone, the. Goes away again. Which brings me to my next point. My phone will not turn off unless it is plugged in. If it isn't plugged in and I try to turn it on. The screen goes black for a couple seconds and then It turns back on. Now I don't want to just automatically assume that is a software glitch by apple but I don't know what else it is. If it is a software glitch apple needs to figure this crap out because I know I'm not the only one having this problem, and if it is in fact a hardware issue tell me how to fix it. I am not able to take it in to apple store because the nearest one is 3 hours away. Thanks apple and I hope we can fix this because I don't know how much longer I can handle not having sound for my alarm clock before I switch to android.
I have the iPhone 5 and I keep getting a pop-up when I change my alarm times. It keeps asking me if I want to download over cellular network. I do use songs from my library, but I don't understand why I need to download or what exactly I'm downloading.
I had my iPhone 4 serviced last December, before my applecare expires. After I took the "new" iPhone back home, I saw lots of dirty watermarks on the screen of it, and no matter what method I used, I couldn't clean it. So I went back, after another day waiting, I picked up the second one. After about a week, the speak on this one stop working sometimes. But if I shake it hard enough it will be good. I mean I know it is a hardware malfunction not a software set up problem. Last week it was the Chinese new year, I missed a lot of phone calls, important messages and no need to say alarm clock. Now I have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow(Beijing time,GMT+8), it takes me about 3 hours to get there and back, about 2 hours to get my backup and apps back to the new phone. I hope you understand how many hours of my time have been wasted. So, what if the next one still a "bad" one. I was in Australia in the last four years, and I went to the Apple Store in Robina and Chermside to service my other iPhone and Macs, I never had any kind of problems. I'm very very disappointed with the Apple Store in Xidan Joy City(Beijing).
This is a minor issue that'll probably end up in the hands of some apple tech, but I'm curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this. After updating my phone to 6.1.1, I noticed that occasionally I did not hear anything when playing music through earphones. An attmept to adjust the volume simply displayed the "ringer" icon and no volume meter. When I launch a new song from stopped (not paused), there was no sound or any ability to control it. I unplugged the earphones; the play icon remained, it normally disappears indicating a pause. Plugged back in and music started coming through. Text/Ring tones are still audible; good because I use it as an alarm clock. The phone is behaving as though it were "docked" though the music playback thing is just weird. I haven't tried playing music while it is actually docked yet. Will try a restore tonight after work.
No alarms are set in the clock app, but an alarm goes off each morning. Anyone had this problem? How can I resolve this issue?
When using my alarm clock with the new song feature, I am getting a notification that says "Download over cellular? Additional fees may apply when downloading songs over cellular." Options are Cancel or Download. The songs I have chosen are already on my iPhone so there should be 0 reason to have to download anything. Please advise. Thank you, Andrew
I went to set my alarm, and when I clicked save a pop up appeared which said "Download over cellular? Additional fees may apply when downloading over cellular" and it gave me two options: cancel or download. Does this have anything to do with the fact that my alarm tune is a song from my iPhone music library...? Very strange.
This took me a month or two to spot and track down, so I am posting here for the benefit of others. There was nothing about this on Google. I am an iPhone developer, and I eventually diagnosed this by setting "Find My Friends" to geofence my real location and send a message when it spotted me leave. The second I started running an app on xcode (the Apple software used for developing iPhone and iPad apps) it pinged instantly. There is a setting in xcode that sets the GPS to a chosen dummy location whenever you run an app. It can be found by selecting Product>Scheme>Edit Scheme from the top menu, then select "Run appname" on the left and "Options" at the top. The one you want is "Core Location: Allow Location Simulation." Just uncheck that box. Problem solved.
ive just replaced the screen on my iphone 4 i followed a tutorial that came recomended by someone who had used it several times with no problemsi did everything as instructed it was a straight forward proceedure but now my phone is switched on the screen doesnt work at all but there is light inside my phone and it makes sounds ie will take a screen shot anyone have any ideas? have i bought a faulty screen thanks sam
I use my iPhone 5 in this way: about 40 minutes talk time, alarm clock, texting fewer than 10 a day, checking weather, downloading a couple of songs per week, and browsing iTunes once weekly. Listen to iPod music about 20 minutes a day.I charge the phone to 100% every other day, but it loses battery power very quickly, even when just sitting. Location and Bluetooth are off, as is push notification. Is this just a flaw in the phone?
Hi.This is driving me nuts. I've searched high and low but can find no help with this problem. My alarms work fine. (clock.....Alarm).The problem is that once they sound....They keep sounding till the end of time....LOLIf I leave phone on desk and walk away....it will drive everybody insane because the alarm will never stop!Is there a way to put a limit on the alarm sound or do I have to switch to a different app? (don't want to do cause am mostly happy)Thanks for ANY help because I just can not find any answers on my own.
I'm having a few problems with the sound of my iphone 4s. I sometimes receive a tone when a text message, email/alert comes through but not all the time. My ringtone also doesnt work all the time. I rang my mobile off work phone and it one rings then automatically goes to voicemail. My phone shows a missed call but it never actually made a noise. Have read quite a few posts on similar issues but mine seems to play my music through my phone fine (at the moment anyway). I'm concerned incase it affects my alarm as it's my clock for work. Through my headphones I can hear when a message comes through and also it rings. Any ideas on what it could be/how to fix it? Thanks x
If I have a clock alert, it keeps ringing if left unattended. There must be a way to ring for 30 seconds (or so) and then turn off.
Hi! I'm trying to fix a problem I'm having with my iPhone 4S and MacBook Pro. I did manage to connect it initially and set it up with xcode as well as iTunes. Today I have spent two hours trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro and I have so far found the following... iPod 2G - charges from MacBook Pro, Wall Charger, Asus Laptop (works with both my Apple USB cables)iPhone 4S - doesnt charge from MacBook Pro, but does from Wall Charger and Asus Laptop - Asus Laptop running Linux Mint recognises the iPhone as a device with 'lsusb' and you can browse photos etc - MacBook Pro doesn't recognise the iPhone as a device with the 'systemprofiler' equivalent of lsusb - Interestingly, despite the charging icon not showing, the iPhone either maintains charge or very, very slowly charges when connected to the MacBook Pro. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I've tried both the USB ports on the MacBook Pro and no difference. I've tried the 6 portson my old Asus laptop and they all work fine! Thanks for your help!
How do I display a large digital clock on the home screen? I tried maybe a dozen applications but none of them do the job. I was hoping to have a large digital clock at the top center of the home screen, like what the Android system displays. Help please??
This is a recent issue ive been having with my iPhone 4 and missing album artwork. Yes, so I was right as I predicted. Thus,I can confidently say th at if anyone is having issues with disappearing Album Cover Arts, connect your iDevice to iTunes and then click on the Summary tab. Then make sure under Options, you have no checkbox next to "Sync with this iPhone/iPad over Wi-Fi" . And then hit apply. After this, you will clearly see the cover art for songs you added after you UNCHECKED that box and hit Apply. The only ******** condition with this fix is that you will have to re-add all your songs again...playlists too. So...just look at the attached tutorial pic i made. Good luck guys. Cheers...
In Mail, it's quick to delete a bunch of messages at the same time. Click edit, tap tap tap on all the dots, Click DeleteWhy isn't this same interface used in clock? Just a petty annoyance - I accumulate alarms somehow, and after awhile I've got a long stack and it takes those extra little bit of work to clean out the stack and start again...
with the release of the iphone 5, apple changed the dock connection...so i can no longer use it with my ihome alarm clock without an adapter.since apple has not yet made available the adapter, i've been using alarm in the clock app to wake-up.i love that i can set the alarm to a song...but i do not like that it vibrates when the alarm goes.how do i turn off the vibration for the alarm on my iphone 5 running ios 6?thanks.
Hi, since a short time my iPhone won't play audio through it's dock connector when for instance connecting to my car or alarm clock (with dock connector). Both work fine with my iPhone 4 (also having iOS6) and my girlfriends 4S (still having iOS5.x) though. Also my iPhone syncs with the apple cable with the PC and charges without any problem (it also charges on the alarm clock) - but, as I said, no audio. Any idea? I cleaned the dock connector already. Regards,Peter
Dear Apple, First I'd like to say how much I love all previous iPhones. All updates made sense and worked perfectly. Nothing was released before it was ready. This new iPhone doesn't seem to work as I would have expected based on having owned the original iPhone 2G, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4S. Here are my issues with the new iPhone 5: The headphone jack on the bottom is an annoyance. Most apps don't turn upside down, and many apps do not turn sideways - this is annoying when I'm working out on the cardio machine and trying to listen to music while reading a book. That book doesn't turn sideways and won't turn upside down so that I can read it like before. Please put the headphone jack back on top. Second, the maps application shouldn't have been released until it had at least the same abilities as Google Apps. It does load faster because of the process behind the scenes than Google Maps. Please update this to include Public Transportation as well as Street View. Third, the Mail application hasn't been updated since the original iPhone. You could at least make it so that when I click on the Mail icon it doesn't take me straight to only one of the (A) mail inboxes. I have mailboxes A, B, C, D, and E. B is the default mail, but for some reason everytime I open the Mail application it doesn't take me to ALL inboxes it takes me to A. Minor inconvenience but it should have been fixed by now. Fourth, the Alarm application. When you don't have a sound with the alarm and you choose NONE, it doesn't even Vibrate when the alarm goes off - the phone is just silent. I want my alarm to be able to be set so that I don't have to have a sound chosen, but the Vibrate will go off with the alarm. Fifth, iPhone 5 cases/screen protectors have been a real hassle to find at Apple stores - actually impossible. I guess you don't want to carry accessories for this new iPhone? I'm not exactly sure what the deal is. Sixth, my phone date and time doesn't sync when I move between time zones. I'm constantly updating the time and setting it manually. Not sure what the issue is there. Seventh, the call quality is HORRIBLE compared to all other iPhones. I feel like I'm on an analog bag phone. It's that bad. .........Besides all these issues, I like the thinness of the phone, the new headphones, the taller screen and the better resolution of the camera. I also like the new processor and the new screen/sensor/display - I can see everything better and faster! Thanks for listening. I hope this will help you. TGB
On second day of unboxing my iphone 5 my iphone screen got stuck in an odd zoom %. At some point during switching back and forth between apps and main screen, the main screen became a little larger than the 4-inch screen allowed and wouldn't zoom back to fit the screen. It was cutting all four sides of the screen, and i noticed the screen was also moving very slowly up and down. At this point, it was just a little annoyance and a slight concern, but everything worked fine. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. After letting the phone go black for a while, the screen came back to normal. Three days later, the same thing happend again. Except this time the zoom was highly noticeable. In fact, the screen was stuck at about 300% zoom. The clock filled my screen left to right, and couldn't get the phone to unlock because the slide bar was wider than the screen. This also meant i couldn't reboot the phone either. I hoped that the phone would come back to its normal state if i left it go black for a while again. but no, it wouldn't come back. I later figured out that i can navigate through the screen by touching the edges of the screen and eventually was able to unlock the phone to reboot. I have tried to search through the web and the apple discussions but have not yet found a report that seem to match mine.
Why did someone at Apple decide that its OK to ship out the iPhone 5 without having ANY additional lightning cables available on the market? Also, why is there a TOTAL lack of car chargers available for the iPhone 5? I know that I can use the included lightning to USB cable in the car with a cigarette lighter to USB adapter, but this is ridiculous. I have multiple 30 pin cables for my iPhone 4 and "New iPad". It comes in handy to be able to leave one at work, one at home, and carry one with me in my laptop case. Not to mention, on a recent hotel stay, the room had a Sony alarm clock/iPod dock that came in very handy. As of now, I have to wait at least another week for 30 pin to lightning adapters to become available. This is VERY annoying. If you were going to change the charger/data cable connector, why not just go with MicroUSB and allow us to have car chargers and spare data cables available from day one. I got in on the Verizon pre-orders around noon on the first day, so I should be getting my iPhone 5 tomorrow if all goes well. I am a bit annoyed that I won't have all of the accessories I would like when I get the phone. A little more forethought before the next major change like this would be GREATLY appreciated. My iPhone 5 restarts all the time. Worked fine for about a week, but after pressing use for development in xcode, it started happening. Restore to new iPhone did not help. Anyone with the same problem? - Christian
How do I enlarge iPhone clock display?
Hi all, Anybody else have this happen to them? I have a couple of recurring alarms. I upgraded to iOS6. The first morning, they wake me up. But the second morning and thereafter they do not go off. After restarting the phone, the process repeats. Any thoughts? Thanks!
ok the title is pretty long but it gets the poitn across. I am in need of assistance. I recently sqitched carriers to Straight talk and am having trouble with setting up the APN settings on the phone. I made the mistake of upgrading my Ios to 6.0 and now I cant get into the APN settings to change them so where I can use Straight Talks data ability. I have read around and found out that I can change them via the iPhone Configuration Utility software but I honestly do not know how to work the program or how to to change the settings on the iPhone with it. I used the following link to show what I needed to change but all it gives is the information. Not where to put it. It doesn't say where to put it in the iPCU, I did find a couple of spots but I honestly dont know how or where to export the finished file or even how to save the file to be honest. I am a complete noob to this and would very much like to see a tutorial video on how and what to change to what via the iPCU from start to finish. If someone can provide a link to a video on youtube that would help as well. thanks. the link I am using to get the information from straight talk is http://www.straighttalksim.com/support.php I would also like to say that i DONOT want to jailbreak my phone. One reason is because I don't trust any programs that you can download onto a PC to do the jailbreaking. so that is out of the question. Do not even suggest jailbreaking to me.
My iphone 4S suddenly won't charge with any charging adapters (wall charger, radio clock mount, etc) and only charges when plugged directly into my computer. help??????
I am hopeing someone can help. Since I upgraded my iPad2, new iPad, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5 to iOS 6 I am unable to print to my HP 3050A. One app says "a connection problem occurred: SSL problem (possible causes may include a bad/expired/self-signed certificate, clock set to wrong date)" while notes acts like the file was sent but printer does not react. I've rebooted the router, printer, Apple devices, everything. I don't believe it is a HP issue since it still works when printing from my windows laptop (sorry guys, haven't upgraded it yet).
The clock app has been updated and now allows me to use a song as my alarm tone. Have been wanting apple to do this for a long time. Problem is that when alarm goes off I get no sound. The phone just vibrates. I do not have the phone muted. Guessing this is a glitch in the app? Anyone else having similar problem?
I cannot get the passbooks app to work. It keeps saying it cannot connect to iTunes I tried what someone else suggested would work. I changed the clock to a year ahead and then Tried it That didn't work. I don't know what else to do at this point. Please tell me I am not the only one.

If you do have a full backup, I suggest you use that to restore your iPhone back to your last IOS. Notes: The most difficult part of the process is installing the correct USB Recover. Also this guide need to followed step by step, do not skip steps. Make sure you take a full backup of your phone, ideally to both the iCloud and locally on iTunes. In my case I didn’t need to do this because all of my contacts and photos were via sync’d Gmail / Google drive. First off you need to ensure that Windows XP will recognise your iPhone when it’s in recovery mode. In my case the drivers were not recognised until I did the following. Launch iTunesConnect your iPhone (which should be powered on at the moment) via USBiTunes should show your iPhone device listed on the left Menu.Switch to Recover Mode by Holding down the Power button and the Home Button until the screen goes black (this will take around 20’s).Press the Power button on the iPhone and you should see a “graphic” showing recovery mode. Windows may try and load the driver at this point (unless you already have recover mode drivers installed). Simply follow the normal Windows driver install process. You will now need to check that the drivers have been installed correctly. Open Windows device manager and check if there are any devices listed as “Apple Recovery Mode” listed in “Yellow”. If the devices are listed in Yellow, you will need to do the following. Right click on each of the Apple Recovery Devices listed in Yellow and choose uninstall.Next expand the “Universal Serial Bus Adapters” node in device manager. You should see an items listed as “USB Composite Device”Right click on “USB Composite Device” and choose Update Driver.Choose Advanced “Install from a list or specific location” and click nextChoose “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install” and click next In the driver list, select “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver” and click next Choose “Continue Anyway” when you see the digitally signed warning.Click Finish.Disconnect your iPhone from the USB cable and take it out of recovery Mode by Holding down Power and Home until the screen goes black.Power on the iPhone Note: you may be prompted to the diver updates again when the actual recovery is taking place. This will depend on your system setup. You should now see a Windows browse to file dialogue box open up.Navigate to the “iPhone Software Updates” and select the file called “iPhone4,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw” and click Open. You should now see a dialogue box warning, “Restore” or “cancel”.Click Restore and follow the on screen prompts until the restore completes. You should now have an iPhone running 5.1.1 once your phone restarts Good luck and a little note to Apple. Until the performance issues and bugs in IOS 6 have been address and Google releases a Maps application, I’ll be sticking with IOS 5.1.1 RegardsMarc
I need to always know what time PST, CST, and MST due to work; and currently MST an PST is the same time, but they are actually off by an hour. The MST is wrong, how do we change that?
Would anyone happen to know of a good source to give a step-by-step tutorial of how to move from one iphone to another? (move from iphone 4 to iphone 5). Would like to get myself familiar with this process before I have to do it on Friday, Sept 21st. Thanks for your help and suggestions.
I have been successfully using a Phillips dock/clock radio for some time now. All of a sudden I am getting a "not compatible" popup on all my devices. What's up with that?
I purchased ColorStrokes a few days ago based on the review. However, I cannot use the said app properly. I tried to google a tutorial but it seemed that the app I purchased is not the same as the one appearing on the tutorial. Any idea?
My iPhone was working fine. It stopped ringing when a call comes in. I also do not hear the rings when a test or message comes in. I can hear the ringtones from the speaker. The alarm clock works. The darn thing just won't ring. The first time it happened, I powered it off and it worked fine for a few hours. Now, it want ring. Someone please tell me what to do. Do I need to reset the phone? It's backed up to my computer and iCloud. Settings under Sounds:Vibrate - OffRinger and Alerts - HighChange with Buttons - OnVibrate - OffRingtone - I've tried each one
I don't want it to do this, but every time I put it in the dock on my clock radio, it just begins playing random music. Is there a way to stop this?
Hi everyone, I really need some help. I bought my jailbroken iPhone 3G from Hong Kong on eBay a few months back. Everything was working fine on iOS 4.2.1, except the battery life was very poor. After getting the battery replaced there was no improvement. So my boyfriend suggested I try restoring the phone with iTunes as it was supposed to improve the battery life. I plugged my phone in and went through the restore process, only to receive "iTunes Error 1015". After this my iPhone went into recovery mode and stayed put. I tried using a YouTube tutorial and TinyUmbrella to help me out of the error, but it only made my phone go to the "Emergency calls only" screen and now the phone will not appear in iTunes as it says the SIM card that has worked perfectly with iTunes every other time is not supported. I am at a total loss as for what I am meant to do. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Please help.
I managed to download to download & install the iTunes 9.1.1.12 (32 bit) for windows 7 but when I connect my iPhone it does not show that it is connected. The iTunes tutorial says that I must ensure that my phone is ACTIVATED! How do I do this?
Hello, For some inexplicable reason the video out functionality of my iPhone 4 no longer works. I thought it might have been a cable issue at first, but I tested it on an Apple composite cable, an Apple component cable, and an Apple HDMI cable. As you can see, I have spent a lot of money on Apple cable products because I use the phone in both home and educational settings that have very different connection options. Now, the cable seems to allow audio to pass through the analog cables, but the HDMI functionality seems to be completely shut down, both video and audio. To be clear, I have already performed a reset and recovery, which did not correct the problem. The iPhone was running iOS 5.1.1 before the reset as well as after. Interestingly, I tested a current generation iPod running iOS 5.1.1 on the cables and the video out worked, including confirmation that the Netflix app works. This is a sudden and disasterous failure for which I have no explanation. The phone has not been damaged or exposed in any way. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks,Jesse
