Outgoing calls iPhone 4S

Hello, I've had my iPhone 4S since July 2012 and am currently on a 2 year contract with EE in the UK. I've been having a problem for about a week now that came to my attention about last Friday.  Basically whenever I dial a number and someone picks up the phone and I begin talking, nobody can hear me? They won't hear me say anything and will simply hang up, I've recalled this happening to several people but I wasn't sure if there was a genuine fix or whether it merited getting a new handset? I've considered taking to direct to EE because the nearest Apple Store is in Manchester, and I only want to travel there if I have good reason to. Is there any known fix for this? i have tried resetting my phone by holding both buttons but have yet to do a full restore (Last resort) Just wondering if anyone knows? -Matt

Ridiculous store iPhone 4S

I got my very first iPhone in November 2012 I was totally converted, until I starte having issues with my iPhone 4S... I made an appointment with the Genius Bar in meadowhall sheffield who after 3 appointments and the phone still being broken did indeed replace the handset. The new handset I now have has started coming apart... Its never been dropped or damaged but by the way it's going in about a months time the phone is going to be in about 4 pieces. I went to the Genius Bar who told me it would cost me £139 to replace! But hang on this is not my fault and I have like 300 days left of my warranty!!I then called apple support who told me the guy at the Genius Bar had logged the visit as accidental damage and that I had told him I dropped the phone!! The lady on the phone made me another appointment at the Genius Bar and sent with with a case ID and said they would replace the handset as because of the phone coming apart I was now experiencing signal issues, dropped calls and a lot of hardware issues... Only to get there and then tell me there's nothing they will do unless I pay £139!!!I'm absolutely disgusted!!! This is not my fault.. It's a faulty handset!!! But yet I'm supposed to be £139 out of pocket!!! Makes me wanna actually walk into store put the phone on the side and tell them where to shove the phone and go buy a Samsung! It's ridiculous!!!I really don't know where to go from here!Someone please help me :(

I always seem to hang up on people or I put them on hold with out knowing when I'm on the phone with them. So is there any way you can remove that small window when your on your iPhone 4.

iPhone 5-Screen Dimming

I had the iPhone 5 TheI got early yesterday is consistently allowing my face to mute calls, hang up on calls, hold calls, etc. before the screen goes black. Of course I don't realize this because my cheek does it and I'm not looking at the phone, so it leads to repetitive dialing. Before in iphone 4. After dialing a call, once brings the phone to ear, the screen goes black BEFORE contact with one's face, and the call proceeds. I never had a problem with this in two years - not even a single time.  Anyone else having this problem? Any fixes?

when my young children are using facetime talking to their mother they always inadvertently hang up on her.  is there not an app that will allow me to lock the screen to preclude them from hanging up?  or is there another way within the settings parameters to accomplish the same.  basically, i just want to be able to talk to someone, put my phone in my pocket and not inadvertently hang up on them.

iPhone 5 dropshangs LTE connection

Does any one else notice that the iPhone 5 will randomly drop your LTE and then hang on LTE with out working? This happens all the time to me, almost daily now. What I have to do each time is put my phone in Airplane mode and then turn Airplane mode off and instanly LTE is working. It seems this is noticable when sending a text. It will hang for minutes and not send. Shows I'm on LTE but not sending the text. Why doesn't it switch over to 4G?  This is a software/hardware issue with the iPhone that needs to get fixed. I want to like the iPhone 5 but this iPhone has been the buggest of them all.

Sprint iPhone Issues iPhone 5

I have been a loyal Apple supporter since 2008, i have had 2 MacBooks, an iPad, countless iPods and when I was eligible for an upgrade with Sprint, an iPhone 5. My experience so far with iPhone has been terrible!  I bought the phone in October 2012. I started to have data connectivity issues. I made an Apple Store appointment and they reset the network connections and told me to see how that goes. I still had issues, so i called AppleCare this time and they had me reset the phone and see how it goes. I still had issues. FInally on 12/7, I called AppleCare and after being passed around to various techs and having to explain my situation a number of times, they made me an appointment to go to the AppleStore on Sunday 12/9. The tech (Employee 1455299836) at the Apple Store read the notes and saw what was going on and replaced my phone.  I get home on 12/9 and go to place a phone call, the speaker in the ear piece was vibrating and causing a buzzing/rattling, I called AppleCare and they immediately told me I needed to go to the Apple store to get the phone looked at. On 12/11, I go to the Apple Store, the tech  (Employee 281556102) replicates the issue and replaces my phone.  NOT more then 2 hours later, i am having data issues, I cannot connect via cellular data and I never get 3G. I get an error message saying that the phone cannot connect to the cellular network. So i decide to call Sprint to get help. They do some troubleshooting with me over the phone, more like they hang up, I do the troubleshooting and then they call back, because the iPhone is my only phone. After troubleshoot over the phone, I go to a physical Sprint Corporate store. They continue troubleshooting with me, and they replicate the same issues I was having in store. Unfortunately they cannot do replacements for the iPhone in store so I had to make yet another trip to the Apple Store.  I go in without making an appointment and go right to the Genius Bar scheduler, they get me a spot and I wait. About 10-15 minutes later, a tech (Employee 1178201707) comes to help me and I explain the issue. He says he has seen this before with Sprint phones and then asks me what I want to do. My first thought was to tell the man I want a working phone, but I thought that would be OBVIOUS! So he does some more things on the phone and says we can replace it again. He goes to the back and gets what he needs and comes back out to set everything up. I set up the phone and the phone goes to activate, it take a few minutes to activate. Well the tech I was working with needed to go to lunch. So instead of waiting the 5 minutes to see if everything was okay, he passes me off to another tech and heads off to lunch, not before spend a few minutes talking to other employees along the way.  I get home and go to sync my iPhone to my computer, and cannot make calls (Error 16, Switch 621), I call Sprint, and they do the trouble shooting again. Yet again I have to reset my phone.  I can make calls but no data. They put in a network ticket and tell me they will call me in 72 hours. I then connect my phone to mu computer again, and get an error that iTunes cannot read my phone and I need to reset it to factory settings. I do this through iTunes and it processes on the phone. Now the phone will not activate on the Sprint network. I have no phone or data. I had to go buy a Tracfone so I could reach someone in an emergency.  Any suggestions?

iphone 5 when i try to end phone call screen freezes and wont hang up i've already all my apps x'd out of too.

So when i phone people and try to hang up the screen freezes. when i press the home button it come up at the top as still being on a phone call and when i click on it, it all happens again. no idea how to fix this. any help?

i have noticed that when i got my iphone replaced last week at the apple store that my screen won't light up when i take it away from my ear to hang up i have to hit the home button for the screen to light up. Is it a hardware issue, I tried a hard reset and restored the phone. James

It's starting to hang sometimes, auto restart (came out a black screen with an apple logo on it), apps crashing, camera crashed, Etc... Any solutions beside downgrading it...? Oh yeah, the assistive touch function too has some glitches.... It always closes even when I did not even touch it...

iphone keeps automatically playing paused songs at end of calls.

I have an iphone 4, iOS 6. I often use it to listen to podcasts in the podcast app. I will pause these, then return to them later. Whenever I speak on the phone (this has happened both receiving and making calls), when I hang up it automatically unpauses the podcast and starts playing it. This occurs in situations where I hadn't been previously listening to the podcast so it's super annoying to hear a loud voice pop out of my iphone speakers for no reason, and a hassle to get over to the podcasts app to make it stop. I don't know whether this is an issue with the podcasts app or with my phone (maybe the new iOS?) Has anyone else had this problem?

bluetooth streaming issue iPhone 4S

So I have an issue that's verry annoying, but I fear there's nothing to do about it. I want to find out if the issue lies with apple or my car radio company. I have a problem with my car radio. It's a stock Seat Ibiza 2012 radio with bluetooth built into it. I can make a phone call, but I can't stream my music to it. My iPhone seems to think it can. When I play music, I can select the car radio to stream the music to, but when I do that, there's simply no sound. Nowhere the car radio says it can stream via bluetooth. Now here comes the actual problem. I'm listening to my music or podcast the old fashion way, with a jack cable to the aux input of my radio, when I receive a call. I pick up the phone with my bluetooth radio and start chitchatting. When I hang up, the iPhone seems to think "Hey, let me just turn the audio back on and since I just stopped a bluetooth conversation, the audio can just play through bluetooth". I was listening to it through the cable, so start playing again through the cable! iphone: should've remembered it was playing through the cable and not through bluetooth streaming. It also should not show the car radio being able of streaming, cause it isn'tcar radio: shouldn't pretend it's capable of streaming while it actually isn't.car radio manufacturer: should've just added streaming to the software, because clearly, the hardware is capable of doing it, so if it could just stream, there wouldn't be an issue!!!

Verizon Voice Mail Problems-How I change time before going to voicemail iPhone

Voicemail on my Verizon iPhone 5 is almost useless.  Does anyone have the same problem OR has anyone solved this problem? Calls take so long to go to voice mail (Verizon says 40 seconds) that my callers hang up before getting to voice mail. And calls to my Google Voice number which rings my Verizon iPhone go to Google voicemail (after 25 seconds) before Verizon voicemail picks up so I don't get to use visual voicemail. We just switched to Verizon from AT&T (iPhone) and Sprint and we never had this problem before. Looking online it appears that AT&T and Sprint make it very easy for their customers to set the amount of rings (or time) that a call takes before going to voicemail. Verizon has given me conflicting information but no solution. They have said: 1. It is set to 40 seconds for everyon and you cannot change it.2. They can set it between 15 seconds and 40 seconds in 5 second increments3. They can set it to different times BUT it resets back to the default 40 seconds Help! How do I change the time it takes for Verizon to go to voicemail on my iPhone to 20 seconds or less?

Why headphone jack on bottom iPhone 4S

I was really excited for the iPhone 5 but now I don't think I'll be getting one.  For me, changing the location of the headphone jack is entirely unnecessary.  I've been reading up on this, and the only reason I can find for it is because people say it's more "natural" to put their phone in their pocket upside down; this doesn't make any sense to me!  Is it really that hard to move your arm straight down to your pocket with your wrist straight instead of only rotating your elbow?  I find it irritating that I would have to store the phone upside down in my pocket, and that would just make it harder to adjust the volume or flick the vibrate on without taking it out of my pocket.  That's something I do all the time: walk into a classroom or theater, and need to make sure my phone is on silent without pulling it out and drawing attention to myself. I also get that you can lay the phone flat on a desk and have the headphone cord hang off the edge.  But what about when I have the phone propped up?  I guess I can't do that anymore.  I also can't leave it upright in a cupholder while I drive. I've been an iPhone user because I like how professional and uniform Apple products look.  But storing and displaying my phone upside down destroys that asthetic for me.  I know some people will say that orientation is a stupid thing to quibble about, but Steve Jobs was known to obsess over far smaller things (I'm not saying this was one of them), and that's what makes Apple products so well thought-out. So what is the point of putting the headphone jack on the bottom?  Can anyone give me a real reason that I can support?  I really want to be able to get excited about this phone, but at this point I think it's unfortunately a deal-breaker for me.

Cannot make conference calls on iPhone 4S

When connected to one person, I hit the "+" button, select a contact, and then the iphone indicates it is calling the 2nd person but the 1st person remains audible on the call.  After a few seconds, the 2nd call appears to go through because the "merge" button appears as well as the name of the 2nd person I called.  However, when I tap the "merge" button, the 2nd caller is not there.  When I hang up with the 1st person and call the 2nd person, they tell me they didn't receive the 1st call to them. Is this a phone problem or user problem? Thanks,

Despite restore phone not working iPhone 4

My I phone 4 S got hang and stopped functioning, I restored it and then it ran for 1 more day and again it has hanged. This is time screen color has changed to pink and i can not see anything on it.

So has anyone found a work around for the problem with the Nissan bluetooth systems in the car. It will connect with my phone but once you start talking the car disconnects from the phone and then trys to reconnect and then disconnects till I hang up. PLEASE HELP

Voicemail slow or hangs iPhone

So lately I've been running into an issue where the phone app is very, very slow or appears to hang. Its usually while trying to check voicemail and I'll load the app and go to voicemail and then the screen does not respond to anything. Then, after some time the app either crashes or finally plays a voicemail. Another issue... I was just making a call and instead of leaving a voicemail I tried to end the call and it wouldn't. Press the end button numerous times and after 10 to 15 seconds it finally ended the call. iPhone 4 with the latest software on the AT&T network. Any thoughts?

I've seen others with the same problem but I've tried all the suggestions and nothing at all works. This is mind-bendingly frustrating. Please help - what else can I try? Or should I just return it?

Every single app including Camera Phone Calendar etc. crashes iPhone

I have an iPhone 4s with iOS 5.1.1.  Whenever I open any app, it crashes anywhere from 2 to about 30 seconds. This includes EVERY single app; Settings, Camera, Contacts, Clock, Messages, and any other installed app.  (Battery usage also increases; about 1%/min, even without using the phone).  If I'm typing a text message, the Messages app closes before I can send it. If I'm making a call, the Phone app will close almost immediately after I push "call" (but luckily doesn't hang up). And so forth.  In short, my iPhone is almost unuseable, as everything crashes.   I've tried the following: Restore & backup via iTunes. Doesn't work at all. Total restore, without backup. Worked the rest of the day; the next morning the problem was back.Turning it off and on. Resetting it by holding the home & power buttons for 5 seconds. Deleting all apps possible & reinstalling.  What do I do?!

Double calls iPhone

When make a call, for some reason it appears as if I'm making two calls—the number I dialed plus an "unknown". I can toggle between the two which puts one call on hold. Once I hang up I have to hit end twice to hang up the number I dialed and the mysterious "unknown". Has anyone experienced this?

ios 5.1 worst iphone 4s incoming call no audio for caller for 3-5 sec

i bought iphone 4s (ios 5.01) jan 2011. for the date of purchase i had problems form the date of purchase. There was no service (network issue) and i thought it would be my new sim card. but i tried it on my wife's mobile it worked well(no issue). i gave to showroom and booked for a complaint and after 2 weeks they called me and said they have updated to ios 5.0.1 (9a405). i had no more issues with the network but i had issues in outgoing calls. Whenever i call someone they wont be able to hear me for first few seconds(2-4 secs) and i stared to talk after 3 secs regularly(since the customer care is worst here i dont want to give and wait for another 3 weeks where i wont get right solution too). Later i had a ios update (ios 5.1) meesage while my phone was connected to wifi. i thought it will solve the issue (after reading some reviews) and updated to ios 5.1 which is what i am using right now. But now i have more issues than before.  1. The screen goes blank(dark screen) when i try to call back (i.e after call busy) 2-3 times. then i have to press home button and once again i have to open call button(green layer which will be on top just like on call) and hang up and try once again.2. Sometimes my network drop zero then start searching network display no service for few second and then the network once again appear while on call(no issue with network provider i checked with other phone which is working well)3. Now when there is incoming call there will no audio for caller(not me) for 2-5 sec (i did a count..ha..ah) they wont be able hear. i did try reset to factory setting, no other apps installed.  did try everything and nothing helped..i am also lazy to write this but no way to find a solution..pls do help and sort the issues permanently..iphone is costly only because its an apple product and for its ios which is faliure now. so i suggest them to reduce the price and shouldnt say they are the trend setter or innovative anymore..worst ios and i have read many reviews and i know there are people who dont want to waste time/lazy by writing the review..but they need soultion..i am ashamed of my iphone which i bought 45000 rs when compared to 15000rs samsung product with no issues like these..

Hanging app updates. Ipad and Iphone

In another discussion, I reported that I had three app updates hang.  Re-setting etc did nothing to solve it.  As the apps were unusable, I deleted and tried to reinstall.  Failed!  The reinstall also hung. Now, I stupidly tried to download 10 updates on my Iphone.  The whole lot are "waiting" and unusable.   There are 12 apps to be updated on my Ipad and I know I would be stupid to activate those! The response from Apple is that they can't find my account.  They want screen shots - knowing the apps have been deleted.   I am over a week away from accessing my PC, and updating there is not a solution. Call me paranoid, but I had so much mess from IOS5, I suspect the last update has also screwed my two devices. I received advice to my first posting but sadly, it didn't solve. I am wondering if, since then, others with the same problem, have found solutions. Thank you Ron

Upgrade to iOS 5.1 FAIL iPhone

I just updated my iPhone 4 from 5.0 to 5.1 and I am not a happy camper.  The upgrade process appeared to hang for over 5 minutes without any indication of progress being made either on the phone or in iTunes.  I ended up ejecting the phone and plugging it in again.  The phone restarted and was missing 70% of my apps.  It also didn't restore any of my passwords even though I was using an encrypted iPhone backup on my laptop so I wouldn't have to enter my passwords again.  Apple, this experience has totally sucked and sadly it could not come at a worse time as I'm at the hospital dealing with a family situation (yeah, I was an idiot to think this upgrade would actually be a trouble free experiece).  Y'all need to get serious about testing your software and maybe take a break from foisting more, unstable features on your customers (things no longer "just work" as people used to say about Apple products).

iPhone App says Cleaning

I was loading a few Apps I had purchased on my iPhone onto my wife's iPhone tonight and I saw the Facebook App was lighter colored and under the icon it said "Cleaning..." instead of Facebook.  It seemed to hang there, but as I am typing this entry it actually went back to normal and then I saw a briefer change to the Weather Channel App.  I have never seen that happen before on any of my iPhones or on any of the previous iOs versions.  Any clues?  I am running iOs5. Thanks

iPhone 4s call end hang not detecting carrier

So this problem has become progressively worse to the point where my iPhone is not working in its main purpose: AS A PHONE I had a problem a month back where my phone which was working fine 10minutes beforehand stated that the sim failed. After a restart, sim fail again, same after a reset.  I took this to the provider that sold me my sim and to my surprise they removed the sim rubbed it with an eraser and then it worked again??? I dont know if this is related to the current problem.  The main issue is that I cannot make or receive calls.  Hitting dial works but then there is no sound, the people i call dont receive anything other than a missed call and when i try to hang up, the end screen hangs after the red button goes grey.  If you hit the home button or the power button to lock at this point you can get back to the home screen no problem.  Hitting the phone again brings up the same call with the end button now back to red.  Hitting again causes this to hang again.  The only way avoid this is to hit home, then double tap home and kill the phone app. I am in an area where reception is a little sketchy.  Prior to this issue occuring, there would be 2/3 bars of reception and when signal dropped out hitting airplane mode  on and off lead to the phone searching again for the signal, this took time but it would come back up at one or two.  Currently, the phone will show reception of 2/3 bars constantly.  This is unusual, as there was always times when the signal dropped out.  When hitting airplane mode on and off to check this the signal immediately comes back to 2/3 bars and does not search at all.  I believe the carrier signal indicator is hanging and this may be related. Another issue i have noted is when starting to make the call, i put the phone to my ear to see if its ringing and siri pops up?  Siri should most definitely come up at this point as it is not set to voice commands (and i havent spoken anyway) and i do not touch the home button.  Siri only comes on when the phone touches my ear.  So far i have tried: 5.01 update - same issuesToggling airplane mode on and off to get it to search for the carrier again - this occasionally worked until 2 days agoTurning the phone off and on - this occasionally worked until yesterdayResetting the phone (home and off button) - this occasionally worked until 1hr agoDeleting all apps - this did nothingTurning off wifi - also nothingTurning of location services - nothingTurning off siri- nothing (although it stops popping up when touching to ear)Removing the sim - this worked last week, today no luck (i even tried the eraser trick)Turning off siri I have read a much as I can on this issue (and it seems to be everywhere) and havent seen a peep from Apple regarding a fix (yes, i will restore tonight to confirm but nobody said this worked either).  If this is such a widespread issue why doesnt Apple have a better troubleshoot than what i did above (yes, i know i need to try the restore, but again every question i read said this didnt work). My problem compounds, I am working in Singapore and my phone was purchased in Australia (unlocked from Apple).  Getting to an Aussie retailer is not as easy as going down to the shops for me.  My question is this, is this a hardware issue?  I need a phone for work and decided to upgrade from my 3G (yes dinosaur) as soon as the 4S came out.  I must have this sorted by tonight and am very worried that my expensive new phone is junked (ok yes my sudoku app would still work if i didnt delete it) I tried to do this through the express lane but the only options are via a phone call.  I cannot receive calls, I cannot make calls, apple how can you make these the only options when this was the topic i selected. I just want my phone to work.  Can anyone help please? Kind regards, Exasperated long time apple user and supporter (since mac SE)

Why glass screen so weak on iphone 4s model

Hi, This is my third iPhone, the previous models: 3G & 4 I had no problem with.  The iPhone 4 action button at the bottom was beginning to hang so I recycled it through envirofone.   For Christmas I purchased a new 64GB iPhone 4S, the glass screen has smashed in my pocket on two occasions now.  Cost me £65 the last time and will cost me the same again to repair.  I have a "speck hard & soft case" for extra protection but this has not helped prevent the damage being done to the phone. Is the glass screen the same material specification as the glass on the iPhone 4? I'm tempted to have a row with Apple over the issue as I believe my phone is defective and not fit for purpose; or is this a waste of time and should I just be more careful with this delicate piece of kit? Any advise would be appreciated. Regards, Mark

not sure if this is something on my end or what, but my whole family has AT&T. i am the only one with the iPhone 4s well when my friend calls me from his Verizon iPhone 4, sometimes when i answer i hear this horrendous loud screeching noise! he claims it is my phone. he never hears the noise. but it only happens when he calls.. not when i call him or when anyone else calls me... but it doesn't happen to anyone else when he calls them... is this an apple or AT&T issue?? sometimes it happens more frequently than others and it is getting really annoying to have to answer his call, listen to the noise, hang up, then call him back and hear him scream because my phone is a piece of crap. anyone else had this happen to them??

Cant make receive call amp sms iPhone 4

Im having problem with making calls & receiving calls.*im using iPhone 4 (GSM), iOS 5.0.1, Carrier is Maxis (Malaysia) When i make call, the receivers' phone will rings, but when they answer, my iPhone is still showing "Calling..."then when i press "End Call" the Phone App will hang (forever until i quit it from multitasking)but the iPhone is actually still working, Wifi, Safari, Bluetooth all ok... On receiving part,people can call me with dialing tone,but my iPhone 4 just never ring~ On SMS, worst~ cant send, cant receive! I backed-up, restore, & restore from backup (for data)it solved the problems, but few days later, it happens again. I've checked other users with different phones, same area, same Carrier, no problem. Any1 got any idea?

Suri vs. Voice Control for hands free usage iPhone 4S

I LOST my ability to use my phone handsfree when I "upgraded" to the 4S.   Suri needs so much more of my attention, and doesn't acknowledge when I choose a name from the list given.  95% of the time it just doesn't work.  It apologizes, but that isn't any help when I am on the highway.  Voice Control got it wrong sometimes, but it ALWAYS was a functioning system.  I WISH a new upgrade would allow me the option of turning Suri off and turing Voice Control on.  Suri has stopped taking my dictation too.  So, what's the point anyway?  Another problem is it often WILL NOT LET ME hang UP THE PHONE.  So I cannot end a call.  Imagine driving and no matter how many times you press end call it keeps ringing the number you are dialing.  Kind of distracting, no?  The only way to get the phone to function again is to reset it.  Not someothing you can do while driving.  I would be terrified to learn how many accidents this is causing.    I have LESS than I had before I upgraded, not more.  What kind of upgrade is this?  Please APPLE fix these problem.

iPhone 4s siri not working

I have iPhone 4s and since nov 2011 and everytime i attempt to use siri lately it tells it that it is unavailable. In addition when I'm on a call and go to push the end key it does not work I have to wait for the other party to hang up. My screen freezes and I have to do a reset at least once a week. I'm personally very disappointed in this phone. Any suggestions???

iPhone 4S drops all reception mid-call

I used an iPhone 3GS for 18 months and I never had ONE problem with calls on it. Last Friday I upgraded to the iPhone 4S (black 32GB on the same contract) and since then, most (90%) of my incoming calls have dropped all signal after a few minutes. The call starts fine, then the other end stops hearing me, and when I try to hang up, the phone doesn't let me - then the reception completely vanishes and it searches for a signal. After a few seconds, I'm back with full reception and call back myself, usually without problems. This seems to be happening to a lot of people. Does anyone have any idea as to what it might be as it's really getting on my nerves now? I am hoping that is a software problem and not an issue with the handsets as I can't be bothered to have to stay setting up a new phone with all the music again! Thanks

cant hear ringer tone when calling others nor can hear who calling iPhone 4S

okay so everytime i make a call for the frist time i cant hear the ringer tone nor can hear the person im calling. they say they can hear me perfectly but the only thing i hear is my own voice, i see the call outgoes the iphone because the call timer starts to count but i cant hear the ringer nor the person im calling so i can never tell when they answer my call or not unless i see the timer. Now i have to hang up and call again, THEN the second time i call i can hear the ringer and the person im calling when they answer. i have an iphone 4s 32gb with iOS5 and siri is off, in fact i have never turned it on any help? is my phone defective? or do i have to wait for an update to fix this? thanks!

iPhone 4s wifi and 3g data access stops working

Throughout the course of a day, my iPhone 4s internet access appears to stop working completely, whether on wifi or 3G.  The symptoms are any application that uses an internet connection (facebook, twitter, mail, speedtest, etc.) will just hang and will show the rotating icon indicating the program is waiting for data that doesn't ever appear to arrive.  The only resolution to the issue appears to be to power cycle the phone - switching from one access type to another does not work (wifi to 3G or vice versa) and neither does going in and out of airplane mode. Anyone else having this behavior?  I didn't have to reboot my iPhone 3G every day - I shouldn't have to with this phone either.

iPhone 4 headphone remote not working

After updating to IOS 5.0.1 , my headphones remote are no longer working.  Can't answer/hang-up a call; adjust headphone volume; play/stop/skip a song.  Tested the headphones on another Iphone 4 with IOS 5.0 and the headphones worked.  Even tried a different headphones that are working on the iphone4  with IOS 5.0 and it wont work on the phone with IOS 5.0.1. Already tried to restore the phone, checked the headphone jack for any dirt but still can't make it work.  I can hear music and use the headphones during a phone call. So it is only the headphone remote that I can't use. Phone is about 14 months old.

I am having the same problem with my I4 that I had with my I3G.  For no apparent reason, when I hang up a call on my Iphone, the music on the phone starts playing.  Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

iPhone 4 won't unlock to answer incoming call.

My iPhone iOS version is actually 4.3.3 but this site does not have this choice. Only occationally, I'm unable to answer an incomming call due to the unlock slider not responding. I have to wait for the caller to hang up or for the call to go to voice mail. Only thin can I unlock the phone... and when I do, it works perfectly again. I'm on my third phone in about a month of making the purchase. I'm not happy at all! I was supposed to get a Blackberry as the standard device my company supports. I convinced my boss to allow me to get the iPhone because of the horror stories I've herad about the Blackberry Torch. Now I'm wishing I never upgraded to a smart phone. My old Nokia 6126 doesn't seem so bad any more... iPhone 1: Took it back to AT&T. The woman plinked around and told me that nothing was wrong with it and said that if I was having problems to take it to the Apple store. Not being satisfied with that answer I walked over to the Apple store and spoke with the guy at the entrance. He said that this was a known bug and the next time it happens to press the Home button then the slider would work. The next day it failed and pressing Home didn't help. I took the phone to Apple and they did a complete restore. It failed a day or two later and I went back. This time they gave me a new one.  iPhone 2: Worked okay for 6 days. Took it back and they gave me a new one. iPhone 3: Worked okay for 3 days.  What a piece of crap!
